I have been here in the past, but recently saw they had updated their menu and wanted to give them another try. We were seated fairly quickly as it was before 5. Our waitress was very friendly and on top of things throughout. However, neither my husband or I liked our food, especially at the price point. He ordered a burger, fries and a salad. I ordered the peri peri fried chicken sandwich. I imagined that there was some spicy peri peri and then some sweet slaw to compensate and balance, but it arrived with so much peri peri sauce on it the bun was drenched and the sauce was too overpowering. I ended up throwing away half the bun. The chicken itself was great and cooked perfectly. I could see myself ordering this again but asking for only a small amount of the peri peri. I also ordered a different side than fries and was told there was an upcharge. I expected a couple bucks, but it was an extra $10 for the upgrade. Come on! Most places charge less than that for an additional side dish, let alone for a switch. So my husband and I both were charged an extra $10, me for my upgrade and he for his side salad. This made our bill ridiculous for our enjoyment of the food. I know prices have gone up everywhere, but there are plenty of other upscale places around where I can get better food for less.
What a delightful surprise! After arriving at Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), we decided to stop by Colton's Social House for a late night nosh before heading to the nearby Holiday Inn Express for the night and driving back to Bakersfield the following morning. As someone who follows mostly a plant-based diet, I was overjoyed to discover such tasty options. The Date Night Brussels Sprouts were absolutely amazing; roasted to perfection with a crispy exterior and tender interior, coated in a sweet-savory glaze that had just the right balance of flavor and texture. They were so delicious that I couldn't get them out of my mind! The plant-based dumplings were just as scrumptious, and we even savored the leftovers for breakfast at the hotel the next day. The restaurant boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, the service was top-notch, and the location is incredibly convenient, only a short drive from the airport to our hotel. We will certainly make Colton's Social House a regular stop whenever we fly into FAT. With no Delta Sky Club and limited plant-based dining options at the airport, this is the ideal first (or last) stop. Highly recommend!
Right away you are greeted and seated. I love the phrase they use ( I can't remember it but it goes with their name ). We sat by the bar area. The ambiance was good music and games showing on the screen. The burgers we ordered were very good. I got a chicken one and it was huge! The wings were more on a sweet side. My drinks was strong but sweet too ( I loved it and wish I knew its name! ).
I absolutely loved this restaurant. It has very casual dining vibes, and we sat outside and had such an amazing time full of laughter, good food, and great conversation. I ordered the Dr. BBQ Burger, and it was SO good. The burger itself was cooked perfectly, and the mac & cheese on the side was incredibly creamy and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The real standout for me, though, was the garlic parmesan fries. They were absolutely to die for, and the dipping sauce they come with was so delicious. I would 10 out of 10 recommend upgrading to the garlic parmesan fries instead of getting the regular fries. We also shared the brownie dessert, which was rich, creamy, and so good. The olive oil topping added such a unique touch and really elevated the dessert. Our server, Amber, was amazing and incredibly sweet throughout the entire meal. Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 experience, and I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fun, casual meal with really great food.
If you're in the Clovis Area, you're going to have to come here. They live up to their name: Best all-around restaurant. This is one of those restaurants where you come back because 1) the quality of the food 2) the service/vibes 3) the cravings you'll have after coming here. It was our first time here and Travis was our waiter. SO KIND! Can we just applaud for the service? They are amazing. Bartenders attend to you right away at the bar and greeters greet you right away. If there's a wait, it's totally worth it. Come for the experience and ask for Travis as your waiter. He genuinely was a delight. Thank you and we plan to share our experience with friends who come to town.
Came here for dinner on a Sunday. We were seated quickly and ordered drinks and nachos which were tasty and a large amount. We got the Cobb salad and Reuben sandwich. The salad was huge and was very good. The sandwich was fine with a nice smoky flavor. The fries were good too. We sat outside which had a laidback ambiance. Service was quick and friendly. Reasonable prices. Located near the Sierra Vista mall with plenty of parking.
Been here twice now, and I definitely think it's a good spot to be, especially late-night! They are open late, which is a plus for my friends and I since we are either working during the day and/or at night and usually cannot meet for dinner until after 8PM. Not to mention, the food portions are very good - I definitely either leave full or with leftovers. Even the nacho appetizer is huge and can definitely feed 2 people. The service is always great too, and I love that you can split the bill multiple ways for multiple people. For instance, we split the bill by item for two people, but then two other people in our party shared some items, so they were able to split those items 50/50, which I've never seen before. I also really appreciate that we went one night, and the server told us to stay as long as we want to chat, and we really did - and they did not try to kick us out. Loved that! The vibes are good, the food is good - just a generally good place to be.
This was the second time I've been here. Was here pre-COVID and experience then was less than stellar. Not much has changed. We got seated in the bar which wasn't horrible until I realized I was seated in the worst seat in the place with no way to block the rays of sun directly in my eyes. No offer to move us and was told it will only be for 15 minutes or so... nope. We ordered a flank steak sandwich to split. It was good, as well as the beer battered fries. The Oaxacan Old Fashioned was just OK. Won't be coming back soon.
Came in on a Saturday shortly after lunch, expecting a bit of a wait, but was pleasantly surprised when we were seated right away. I ordered The Smash with the patty cooked medium, and it was done perfectly. The bun was rich and buttery, the guacamole was well-seasoned, the provolone melted beautifully, and the bacon had the perfect crisp. All of the fresh veggie toppings really brought everything together. The fries with Colton's sauce are also worth mentioning--they were absolutely delicious. The restaurant has an upscale gastropub vibe with a great ambiance. We sat indoors, but the outdoor seating looked just as inviting. Everything felt very well put together, clean, and well maintained--even the restrooms stood out in that regard. There's also plenty of parking since it's located within a complex, which is always a plus. Our server, Ky, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and spot-on with recommendations. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back.
This place is definitely a bit more upscale compared to Applebees. The modern decor with the Blue Led lighting made this for a great dinner with some friend in town. I gotta also mention, the service was great and tentative. Our server was great, always seeing to it that we are doing well, if we needed more drinks or anything else. The food was also great, every dish looked and tasted great. The Steak was cooked perfectly just the way I like it, medium rare. Definitely recommend with friends or for a date, night out with the love or loved ones we well.
Oh my goodness the food was great, the drinks were amazing, and my husband loved his burger! We loved the appetizers, dumplings and he loved the jalapeño poppers. I'm off alcohol right now and, I had the I'm just Ken and not only was it beautiful it was delicious. I had a black bean burger on a pretzel bun and what can I say it was a black bean burger. I swear I've had that exact one at another restaurant and I can't remember where, Tahoe perhaps... Anyway go and have a drink and have some yummy food. The service was great, the atmosphere was cute and they have sports on TV if you like the sports like my husband! Go teams!
Wow. What a swing and a miss! With such high Yelp ratings, I expected better, but everything was a miss from drinks to food to service and even ambiance. First, the place was SO LOUD our server could barely hear our order, which may have contributed to the service mishaps. The kids burger that was supposed to be plain, came with cheese. My tacos that were supposed to have pickled red onions came without. Minor issues, but added to the disappointing experience. We ordered two cocktails--the Mother of Dragons and the Gin a Nutshell. The first was supposed to come with torched rosemary to add smokiness to the drink. The rosemary sprig was raw, untouched, and added nothing to the beverage which had no tequila flavor at all and tasted much like Red Robin Freckled Lemonade. Not what was advertised and not worth $15. The second cocktail was supposed to taste of pistachio and gin with egg white to make a nice frothy top. It arrived opaque as a milkshake and tasted like someone had poured my hubby a glass of almond milk. No gin flavor at all and with the consistency of melted ice cream. Gross. We couldn't drink that one, so we ordered a beer that (of course) was no longer available because we happened to have been given an "old menu". I ordered the Tacos de Guajillos. I will say they didn't scrimp on the meat. The tacos were huge and the meat was very tender. But flavorless. No guajillo sauce or pepper flavor at all. Tasted like just boiled meat. The pickled red onions were so bland it was mind boggling! No onion flavor. There was just a strange and slight hint of maybe clove or anise at the end. They added nothing to the tacos--none of the vinegary, spicy bite they needed. The sauce that came with them took me most of the meal to finally name the taste-association that was tickling my memory and then it hit me: Spaghetti-O's. DEAR LORD! How does any Mexican hot sauce/salsa/Chile sauce end up tasting like parmesean-tomato sauce from a can?! I have no clue. But it did and it sucked because the tacos needed tart lime, spice and chile pepper. The kid meal burger and fries were fine. The grown up smash burger was bland, but juicy. The fries were okay. We ordered a side of "blistered green beans" that had zero flavor, were mostly raw (and I like a crispy green bean, mind you!) and no blisters. About 4 of them had a couple of tiny char marks, but barely any. What can I give them credit for? Whoever was cooking the meat knew how to keep it juicy. But everything was sorely lacking seasoning. Won't be back. I think Applebee's might have more flavor than this place. Eek!
12 hour layover in Fresno where do I go for lunch? COLTON'S I came here a couple years ago on a layover and was not disappointed. I still remember the experience as being outstanding. Peri Peri Sandwich = Wow! Had this fried chicken sandwich made with local chilies, mild spice level with incredible flavor. Absolutely gigantic fried chicken breast. Colorful slaw on top all the healthy dousing of an orange chili sauce. Delicious brioche bun. Every single element of this was top-notch. Not only tastes incredible but I really should've gotten a picture of it, it looks amazing as well, like a work of art. Service was incredible. I love that they take the time to introduce themselves and ask you something about yourself. Unique. I will definitely be back on my next layover.
We came here during the week and the vibe is a good one along with the selection of food and drinks. My partner ordered the French dip, a friend ordered the bbq burger and I ordered the salad with a soup in a bread bowl. Everyone liked their food and thought the servings were pretty large. My partner said his French dip was good but smaller than the burger. My friend said her burger was too big, causing the contents of her burger to fall out. I thought the soup and salad menu was wrongly worded. On the menu, it said I could put my saws at salad in a bread bowl for $3 and so I asked for that, and was asked what kind of soup I wanted. Turned out the menu was wrong and should have said that you can put the soup in the bread bowl, not the salad. The price difference of that mistake was about $20, unfortunately. So this place is not cheap. The salad was basic. Ive also had the Brussel sprouts here and thought how I'd had better Brussel sprouts elsewhere. I think what you order on the menu can be a hit or miss. The coconut guava lemonade was amazing and very smooth. I would come back just for that drink. This restaurant is now on my radar! Ii like the vibe of this place with televisions spread throughout to view sporting events if you choose. The beer list is extensive with plenty of craft beers to choose from. For an appetizer , I wanted to try the onion rings with their special Colton's sauce. Truth is - Applebee's makes better onion rings so I would recommend to pass on these. For an entree , my wife and I chose to split the Colton's burger . Pretty good burger , but a ridiculous wait time . We waited for 40 minutes , and the burger wasn't worth the wait. The battered fries were good especially dipping into the Colton's sauce. Overall, I would give this place a solid 3.5 stars and will boost up to 4 because I am feeling nice tonight. I want to come back and try more things on the menu to get a better feel on how they execute other menu items. Fun place to socialize , grab a drink, and casually watch the game . read more

Went on a date night with my husband here and we loved it! I order the pink pony club cocktail and it came with edible glitter sprinkled in it, so cute!!! My husband and I didn't realize how much food they gave you so just beware come with empty stomachs because they give you big yummy portions! My son requested a birthday lunch so we landed at Colton's for the variety. Two kids ordered off the main menu to share the ribeye with fries, my youngest ordered the grilled cheese off the kid's menu and barely touched it (they use sourdough so he wasn't a fan) but did like the fries, I really enjoyed the brisket French dip. Since it was a birthday celebration, we ordered a sharable dessert, the White Lotus Panookie. I don't think I would get this again because even the kids said it was a bit too sweet. read more

The ambience of the restaurant was very chill. Super relaxed and it honestly reminded me of TGIFridays, which I was a regular there and loved so much! The menu option here is great. A good variety of options, but not too overwhelming with so many. The food was excellent and price was fair. I'm definitely going to be coming back here again soon! A great place for date night or a meal with the family. The restaurant lights are dim which made it feel more upscale. The food was good with large portions. To go boxes were definitely needed. Savannah!!! Working In management in the service industry it's very rare to meet someone so attentive, while witnessing her multi-tasking skills. The personality is top notch and efficiency was unmatched. I did try to recruit her to be on my team that's how great she was!!! First time here and will 100% be back because of Savannah. This place has super good reviews so had to come try it out. The directions were a little cumbersome, so follow Google maps exactly. I elected to sit at the bar top because I was solo. Had music playing, but wasn't so loud you wouldn't be able to hear the people you're with. A quick review of the menu and I found like 8 things I wanted. Cierra was super helpful in giving recommendations, so I settled on the firehouse burger. I dare say the burger was one of the best I have had. Ever. I was a little concerned about HOW spicy the burger would be. For me, it was just spicy enough that i was on the verge of sweating. Perfection. And the beer battered fries, 12/10. Looking forward to coming back and trying more stuff on their menu! read more

Holy SMOKES!!! What a great find in the quaint town of Clovis. Sometimes I get a little wary of ratings being high but in this case, they are oh so well deserved. Now Brussel Sprouts have become soooo common and EVERYBODY says theirs are the best, but guess what!!!? Winner, winner chicken dinner! These were simply fabulous, unique, crisp, sweet, savory, etc... I had a burger that was insane and simply too massive to get my mouth around. Seriously!! Guy Fieri would have failed, and possibly a great white shark with its detachable jaw. Sue had the brisket sandwich with she said was amazing. The decor was a combination of cozy and modern, with just a slight touch of sports bar. It was busy but not overly loud. The entire staff was super friendly and helpful, but a massive hats off to Kye, who was funny, charming, positive, attentive and just an absolute joy. Me and my bd came here for takeout.. since it was one of the only places open late. We didn't order over the phone. Just went inside and they gave us a menu. Ambiance is dim lit up in there! I went with the quesabirria egg rolls and it's supposed to come with adobo consome, IT DID NOT. Supposed to have onions and cilantro but only seen cilantro as a topping and it was sprinkled oh so lightly on top of the egg rolls. Onions was not present in or around the egg rolls. So all I tasted was the meat and cheese in a fried roll. Barely any flavor. The salsa and lime did not help it. I wished I could've received the adobo consommé . It might've saved it. Won't be ordering that ever again. My bf went with the brisket french dip sandwich that came with fries and sauce and supposed to come with French onion Au jus but nope! That wasn't in the bag neither. What's a French dip sandwich without something to dip it in. WTH?! We also got an appetizer and dessert to share. Went with the atomic poppers which is their version of jalapeno poppers. Those were really good. Again, they were missing the sauce. Supposed to come with Serrano aioli. Luckily they still tasted good on its own. Lastly was dessert and we got the brown butter therapy. Not sure why they put goey brown butter CAKE, and not cheesecake cus that's exactly what that was. It was a cheesecake texture. It was good but not what I expected. Also it came with a whip cream which I don't think was supposed to come with it because it tasted like coffee. I think it really belonged with the espresso con panna after reading the menu off yelp. So a little annoyed that they managed to give us sauce when it wasn't needed but didn't give us the sauce/dip when it was supposed to come with our food. Busy place for a Wednesday evening! I had a 15 minute wait for a party of One!! The cup of clam chowder was good but the quadruple roasted Brussel sprouts were so crisp that no green at all was showing. It also tasted like vinegar on them ...I would not recommend them. The Cheddar Cheese biscuits looked promising - and were crispy on the top but soft and very oily on the bottom..,again, not my style. Both the server as well as the manager came by to check on me, which I appreciate! They asked if they could do anything to make the meal better but really, I'd say that once the items left the kitchen, 'making them better' was way out of their control..... Go for the beer and burgers and enjoy the service and the big screen TVs. Do avoid those burnt Brussel Sprouts though - you'll be glad you did! read more

The food here is absolutely outstanding and its very cozy and welcome anywhere you sit. I ordered the cheesy arribiata appetizer and it was wonderfully rich and spicy paired with the easiest slices of focaccia for cheese and sauce transport. The birria eggrolls?? There are no words. EAT THEM. They are crispy and full of flavor and you have to dip them in the consume. Their mac n cheese is out of this world and so creamy. The service here is even more stellar. Our social therapist, Travis, is the best there is. My friend and I just wrapped up teaching high school for the fall and we're wiped. Travis set us up with fabulous recommendations for tasty lemonades and that guava coconut blend is well above par. It even has toasty coconut on the rim! He made us feel welcome and like it really was a pleasure to serve us. I can't wait to come back again! read more

First timers at Colton's. Bar area was busy at 5pm. Lots of space and cute outdoor area. It was rainy so we sat inside. When we asked for a recommendation for a signature cocktail the server was less than knowledgeable so I just picked one with tequila. Menu options were abundant. We had wings and pasta. The wings were pasta was a little dry, maybe sat for a bit before making it out. Overall would love to try this place out again and see which other drinks or food could be delicious. read more
Nice place to relax, watch a game and just hang out with a friend. They definitely don't rush you out, so it was nice to slow down and spend some time while not feeling constantly bothered by your server - who was really awesome! I ordered the Cobb salad. It was good, but the chicken tasted like it was taken straight from the refrigerator - tasted cold and little hard. Would've been nice if it was fresh or at least heated. My friend ordered the burger and she said it was good. The drink we ordered was the farmers daughter. Good, but it was pre mixed and I thought it would be made fresh. It was only slightly cold. My suggestion would've been to shake it with some ice as least so it tasted fresh because all of the puree sat at the bottom. Good flavor, but I was an expecting a fresh made cocktail for $16. Lastly we ordered the kitchen sink panookie. That was a crowd favorite and would definitely come back just for that. Chocolate chip cookie, pretzel, potato chip (yes! But it's a hint and just the right amount), toffee, sea salt, chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Wow! read more
