I visited over a year ago in April 2023 and this review is being written in May 2024. CUSTOMER SERVICE -- In my experience, they have good customer service. I called last minute and I was able to get an appointment. NAILS -- There are a variety of styles and colours to choose from - you can keep your natural nails or add acrylic (fake) nails. I got acrylic nails for the first time with a pink gel polish. My actual nail service was a little rushed towards the end because I noticed that after the staff member was done, my cuticles or the skin around my nails were not smooth. There was still little bits of dry skin that could be cut or peeled off. The nail technician, a woman, didn't remove some of my dry skin around my nails. Granted, I could have said something to her afterwards but after already spending over 1 hour there, it was getting late at night and I needed to go back to my apartment. It was obvious to me though that the nail technician would know how to finalise a nail service. For such an expensive nail service, it would have been nice if they paid more attention to the little details. My cuticles and some dead skin were not done correctly. In addition, when I went back 2+ months later to have the nails removed, which I believe is free or $10, I noticed that my actual nails were brittle/soft/weak. It took over 4 months for my nails to feel strong again. A friend told me that the method that they used to remove the acrylic nails may have put too much pressure of on my actual nails and damaged them. I'm never getting acrylic nails and gel polish again whether here at Liz Nails or elsewhere. It works for some people but not for me. Gel polish is extremely hard to remove by yourself and that's not a Liz Nails business issue. **** GOAL of 150 reviews in 2024 - 29/150 total reviews in 2024 - 679 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 17 May 2024

My friend recommended this place to me because I was looking for a nail salon open on Sundays…read more Sunday is the best day to get a mani-pedi amiright?!? I made an appointment, which was a good thing because the place was packed. There is a very nice manager who manages all the phone calls, appointments and walk-ins. This was important because I HAD made an appointment. The manager made sure to whisk me off to my pedi station before the walk-in appointments. My nail tech, Viviana, was wonderful!! My feet had been butchered at my last pedicure (not at Venetian) and I told Viviana that my feet were very sensitive. She was incredibly gentle and made sure to keep asking me if everything was OK. When she did my manicure, she noticed that my nails are short and asked if I worked on a computer all day. I told her that I do work on a computer all day everyday and I was so impressed with her insight. She was sure to give trim my nails to accommodate that lifestyle. I left with a perfectly shiny pedicure and gel mani. A bonus was Viviana's sweet disposition and genuine service. The salon is undergoing an expansion, so I imagine it will be even better soon. My one gripe is the "temporary" signage outside the building. The salon is located in a lovely shopping center, but has a plastic sign hanging out front. A nicer facade would give even more value to this Rocky River gem.

My nail tech, Katie, was super friendly and I really had high hopes that this would be my new spot. My pedi was okay, but she told me that unless I upgraded (i.e. paid more) that she couldn't remove my callouses. Moving on to my manicure, I asked for nail art but was informed that it was a $20 up charge. I opted for French tips instead, a $10 up charge, which she said she specialized in. As you can see from the photos, there was polish all over my cuticles, and the tips were extremely uneven and thick. Fast forward to a few weeks later, I decided to give Venetian one more chance. I specifically asked for Zoe as she has come highly recommended from friends. When I arrived, I was assigned a nail tech who was not Zoe. When I informed them that I had made an appointment specifically with Zoe, I was told that she wasn't working. My second mani was just as bad and unfortunately I will not be back.
