We live literally 2 minutes away. Google Maps shows a 2 minute drive. We always pick up our ice cream ourselves, bring it straight home, and it is perfectly frozen every single time. Today we ordered through DoorDash about 25 minutes before closing. The dasher picked it up and delivered it in roughly 3 minutes. Yet somehow, the ice cream arrived completely melted. That does not just "happen" in three minutes. The only logical explanation is that it was left sitting out before the driver even arrived. On top of that, you sent the wrong waffle bowl without even asking. If you are out of something, you do not get to decide what I want instead. That is not how customer service works. You call, you message, or you cancel the item. You do not substitute randomly and hope the customer won't notice. This is extremely disappointing and shows a serious lack of training and basic standards. If this is how online orders are handled, you will continue losing customers. This was careless and unacceptable. I am very unhappy with this location. read more

A few friends and I were in the mood for ice cream and came to this location. There were a few people before us and after us. There were three servers taking orders who all lacked customer service and rushed through orders. We gave our orders. There I was, on a hot Wednesday afternoon. Sky was blue, birds were chirping and it was a sizzling 90+ degree outside. I stop by Trader Joe's for some groceries and I see Cold Stone in the corner of my eye. I figure, that'd be a decent hump day treat! I go in, order a small vanilla with coconut. The teenie in the back makes it. Her boss, Abu, is in the background hovering over her. Homeboy Abu watches every thing this poor teen does. To Abu: LET HER LIVE. She hands me over my small ice cream. I look at it and bam, I didn't realize I ordered from the children's menu. I ask the teen why such a small spoon of sugar? That would indeed not be enough to help the medicine go down. She turns and looks at Abu, turns back to me and says "thats the spoon size." Realizing Abu was her boss and she's likely new, I didn't push the matter and reluctantly paid the $8 bucks. Moral of the story, if you want to get bent, raped and robbed, definitely go to this Cold Stone. For $8 bucks I'd rather go to Salt and Straw. Next time I'm gonna buy a gallon of ice cream at Trader Joe's for the same price. Needless to say, I got two good bites. $4 per bite. The last time I ordered a birthday cake for my son's birthday, it wasn't ready on time and i had to wait in the pouring rain for them to write happy birthday on his cake. Cold Stone Creamery is kind of a treat for ice cream. I only really come to get Cold Stone when I get a coupon. So I had a reward to claim and I was coming from work. Thus I came to this Cold Stone as it was relatively on my way home. I've been to this Cold Stone on and off as I do work in the area. We used to come to grab some ice cream after pho. Lots of good memories. Well this Cold Stone is cute. It's in a little "hut" in the middle of the walking area and a little separate from the other buildings in this plaza. Parking can be in the front which is a lot more than the backside, but I parked in the backside closer to UPS and just walked over. There was one worker taking orders and making the ice cream and checking out. I did see another person making the cakes. The whole ordering to checkout process was relatively smooth. I entered my phone number and had 2 different rewards. Unfortunately there's no clear way to select one versus another because it had asked me if I wanted to use my BOGO which I didn't but I did want to use my $5 off. But when I clicked on "No" there was no way to select a different reward. But they were able to manually do it when I checked out. So no biggie. Ice cream was fine and mixed well. He also asked if I wanted a lid and everything fit underneath. Now I know on other occasions I've had fully stuffed even under the lid full. But you know that's fine. It did hold up until my drive back home which is lovely and I put it in our freezer so we can eat it later in the evening. Overall, not a bad spot to grab ice cream. It is kind of pricey but you know what you're getting into when you're getting ice cream outside and not in a tub at the grocery store. It's the experience! 11/12/25 at 1:30 pm the worker there made our shakes watery and even scooped my love it and gave it to me already pouring over the cups edges, the taste was also not good because it was already melted. On a hot & muggy day, Cold-stone hits the spot. Although it's a very small store & a few outdoor tables were offered, we managed to get a table. If I had taken it to go the entire cup would have melted. As you can see the picture taken at the register looked like I had been waiting to eat it for 5-10 minutes, so I was a little disappointed that it came to me in that state. Other than the major melt down of the ice cream, I did enjoy the Coffee Lovers Only ice cream. Orders: Coffee Lovers Only -why I always go back to this is bc the coffee flavor is retained & not compromised, while the Almonds & Caramel then add a textual dimension which is a nice balance. Strawberry Ice cream with added Brownies- a creamy & rich ice cream that tells you Cold Stone uses whole milk. The added brownies gives it a nice chewy chocolate texture. This place caught my eye as I was coming out of Trader Joe's. I decided to come and support because it looked empty and sad. I opted for a pre packed quart for $12.99 in their refrigerated section. They only had three flavor options which was kind of sad I wished they carried more. Opted for the founders favorite which was delicious but I don't know that I would get it again. I ordered a custom ice cream cake for my daughter's 10th birthday. Chocolate cake layers, with cookie dough ice cream mix ins. The picture shows what was received. The manager did not try to replace it, and would only offer a discount on my next purchase for which he gave me his name and number. I had even tipped him 20%, upon purchase, in hopes that he'd make a good cake. I was wrong in doing so. He was rude and defensive. I have been to this coldstone 3 times now in between the times of 9:05 to 9:30 and they have had the doors locked not accepting customers. On the website as well as yelp, it says they close at 10PM (this was last updated 2 weeks ago) and when I ask through the doors they not only disregard my presence, they LAUGH to eachother. We just placed a togo order online at 9:10pm. Everywhere online states that this location closes at 10pm. When we got there the lights were turned off and doors were locked. It wasn't until a DoorDash order was being picked up that we were able to talk to someone. They handed us our order turned around and locked the door. This happened around 9:25pm so to us it was still supposed open for a while. They were so rude and they didn't even make the order good by barely filling the bowl. We got the smallest size mind you so the fact that it was lacking is sad. Went to visit this place again after swim practice! The workers there seemed a bit amateur because they were frazzled over our orders. One of the girls that worked there used an ice cream scoop to scoop up the chocolate chips and it all got in there so they had to bring out another container of chocolate chips haha. It was honestly so hot in there that the chocolate shavings that they had were practically melted and were sticking to the scooper. I asked the owner/employee if there were a "kids" size since I didn't see anything on their menu. He nodded and said, "Yep". Okay. I just had a feeling there weren't any kids size and he just wanted a sale. I ordered two "kid" size ice creams for my littles and my friend ordered one for her and her daughter. This time we went dutch. When he rang me up; of course, there weren't any "kids" size prices. He charged me for the small and barely put a melted scoop in the cup. What a rip off. Literally. I did not order because I knew I was going to shop at my fave store Trader Joe's which is just a few yards away. I should've bought the mini cones and bring it out for everyone! Why didn't I think of that?! The two tables outside were filthy and covered in bird waste. So gross! We sat on a ledge closer to Trader Joe's. No one finished their ice cream. Cold stone is a theme ice cream shop. The reviews are all over the map which is surprising. I have never had a bad experience but clearly many have. Tonight we had a simple vanilla with white chocolate chips and raspberries. The flavors worked well together. For those that want a solid ice cream that hasn't started melting I suggest you visit Crafts Creamery in Danville or Baskin Robbins. Taking frozen ice cream and then adding energy by beating ingredients into it by definition will cause some melting. For this reason we normally get a cup. Contrast that with Crafts Creamery that freezes the ice cream after adding the mixes or Baskin Robins that only has the flavors they have and can keep it at any temperature as long as the staff can spoon it out. At the end of the day with the correct expectations ColdStone produces a flavorful product. But then, your EPA mileage may vary. read more
