I was within walking distance of this place, and let me tell you, I got a lot of outdoor time. I stuck to one thing mostly, and always a small portion of it. For me, I actually find their ice cream too thick for my tastes, but when you always get a bit of money and want something sweet, AND it's nice weather...whatever. It was always a little weird coming in here, half of the staff went to school with me and it's not like we were the best of friends...so having them make me ice cream was a but awkward. Cold stone in general is great and I've never had any issues with this location, it's always clean and the people there are friendly. The only issue I have is the ridiculousness of the workers having to sing when someone tips them.... These are kids that work in an ice cream shop for close to minimum wage scooping frozen dairy. If this isn't enough they work for a corporation that thought hmmm I know every time someone tips them lets reward them by robbing them of their dignity! Over and over again.... Well lit, nice and cozy temperature (key when eating a frozen product!), friendly staff, and we all know that the ice cream is absolutely to die for! So smooth, so delicious! If you are health minded they have yogurt, and low fat / artificially sweetened, options as well! Although I can say that the 'healthy' options will not provide the same satisfaction as traditional cold stone blends. If you visit in the near future definitely try the Oreo creme filling option. It's an excellent alternative to sweet cream (which is the base of all the flavours), and is absolutely delicious. If you are feeling some true Oreo craving add in crumbled Oreo cookies, and marshmallows for your add in. The cookies provide a pleasing crunch, and the marshmallows have the same consistency as the ice cream but because they are not as cool it's keeps the temperature moderate enough to down the concoction! read more

How can ice cream, anywhere, get less than a four star, unless they are serving it to you on a hot dog? Which we might be thankful, cold stone isn't doing that, yet. If you hit them at a busy time, then you may find a line that makes you question your quest for the yummy goodness, but stick it out, they are pretty quick for the most part. A good selection will keep people coming back. I have found it depends on who scoops your stuff on how much you get, so consistency is lacking, but that's still okay, its ice cream. read more

Definitely not coming back especially when they know it will be busy and not having the most popular flavors in. I do like Cold Stone but this store is just not able to function as well as other cold stones. This is one of my favorite dessert places. I LOVE ice cream. I really love how I get to pick all the yummy stuff that goes in it. My favorite is cheesecake ice cream with brownies. I am absolutely horrified. The past 3 times I came here there was strands of hair in my ice cream. Cold Stone has my favorite ice cream combination but after having hair in my ice cream multiple times I definitely will not be returning. Wish I could give negative stars because this is literally the worst management and service I have ever experienced in my entire 17 years on this planet!! The staff is rude. They do not appear as though they want to be there. The only good thing about my lousy experience was my well-made waffle cone, which was the perfect golden brown most likely made by a beautiful young dame. It has also come to my attention that the employment is absolutely awful. The dunderheads that run this joint had the audacity to hire too many new employees, then proceed to fire them via a TEXT MESSAGE. That's right, a text message. Not even an email or a phone call. A text. The lowest form of professional communication. And a text message that was not professionally worded or typed, but in a way that seemed quite rushed and uncaring. What sort of idiotic management would hire so many people that they could not handle the amount of fresh faces? This is absolutely ludicrous. The management forced these young adults to buy non-slip shoes (which in my experience can be quite pricey), dark pants, and a food handler's card! Not to mention, they had these employees that must have worked five hours or fewer watch at least 2-3 hours of dumb and unnecessary training videos. What a waste of time! I am most sure that the time and money they spent to earn the right to work at Cold Stone was far more than the amount they made in their (less than) 5 hours of work! This is absolutely the worst place I have ever been! The staff sucks, the ice cream is subpar, and it is vastly overpriced. If you want a good ice-cream experience, I recommend just going to the supermarket and picking up your own pint. You get a far greater bang for your buck that way and you get to avoid the terrible and awful dingleberries that run Cold Stone Creamery in Gresham! read more

Love the ice cream, servers are nice just not enough of them for a Friday night. We've been waiting 40 minutes and still six people ahead of us in line. One employee making orders for delivery and one serving the line and cashiering. The wait is ridiculous. Next time my kids want cold stone I'm suggesting DQ. read more

Ice cream..mmmm!!! I really like ice cream. Cold Stone is one of my favorite places to get my ice cream fix. The best part is that on Thursday's milk shakes are half price from open to 5pm. I know that the shake is kind of expensive, but the shake is so good. Most of the desserts are very rich, actually a little to rich for me. But, I still go and get my fix. The best part is you can make your own creation or enjoy one of Cold Stone's own creations. The vibe is a happy vibe, cause everyone enjoys ice cream. The place can get a little crowded, especially during the summer in the evenings. The place is worth it. So, enjoy a nice smooth ice cream delight. read more

I asked for a vanilla milkshake and the guy gave me sugary whole milk with ice. I don't really like coming here anyway, it's just too overly-indulgent. Their ice cream makes regular ol' Tillamook taste bland. It's literally FORTIFIED with sugar and whole milkfat. I'm never buying anything from Cold Stone again. First of all I have to say that I'm a purist. I like ICE CREAM. I do not like my ice cream full of other things. If I want a bag of candy, I get a bag of candy. When I get ice cream I don't want a lot of anything in it but ICE CREAM. I think their ice creams are wonderful. What's not to like? But I think their prices are too high for what you get. Basically I think you are paying for CSC to sort the ice cream add-ins, not for plain ice cream. So... if this sounds like a complaint... it kinda is. I think you should pay less if you don't want anything but the ice cream. I'll even bring my own bowl! ;-D If I had to rate the ice creams by themselves, this place gets a 5-star rating from me. My son's school has a fund raising discount card so I get $1 off my order. I buy the pint. Yum! This ice cream is the best. Our kids love to frequent red robin for dinner because they know we head to cold stone for dessert.

We have been coming to this location every week for a year now. Some weeks we come 2 times. Anyway the last week and today was awful. We ordered Strawberry/Banana smoothies and last week (7/6/15) a Strawberry/Mango smoothie. Yuck Yuck Yuck. We were told last week by the "taste tester" that they were out of smoothie mix so he was making some kind of mixture with Milk. He then made the smoothies they were awful. We didn't want to cause a scene since they were busy. Today (7/12/15) it was the same excuse by the same said "taste tester" we gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe his mixture was right this time. Well NOPE even worse this week. We travel an hour to get there. You have lost our business. Just be honest and let people know you don't have mix so we are not able to make and we will get something different.
