Besides being in a cute town the service was awesome and icecream was delicious. Clean and adorable area.

I really love going here through the years. I've been to others but I personally love their ice cream best and they are consistent. Homemade ice cream and taste wonderful. Service is always great and the place is good for when you want to play games with family. Its family friendly here and its nice they provide some game boards. I would recommend to bring your own games.

I don't know why it took me so long to find Ice Cream Renaissance. I lived downtown for awhile and went to the "waterfront" place, and then one on Columbia - which they have some strengths - but since I haven't been able to chew for a year due to a jaw surgery, the milkshake is one of the best things; plus I wanted to find out if this one would bring all the boys to the yard. I started going so often to get a milkshake that I had to get a line item in my monthly budget for it. I also found out today that they see me and are basically like - oh yeah the no lid no straw dude is here. I'm not 100% certain this is the compliment flex I want, but it does make ordering easy. The shop has plenty of seating and even some games you can play - so this isn't a terrible spot for a meet up. Restroom is available and they have decent hours to get you treats throughout the day. I've noted they have one sugar free option which is great, and maybe I should switch over from my go to Cookies and Cream. Get a taste before you buy, and I do love how they have some small scoop options so you can get a taste. An $11.50 milkshake feels steep, and then when I see what my spending pattern has done, I freak for half a second, but then I do realize its value. So. If you are in town or live in Vancouver, definitely come visit Ice Cream Renaissance - if you come often enough you might just get them to remember your order - and you never know, you may also get to enjoy your milkshake with all the boys in the yard.

What a great little local ice cream spot. They don't have a slew of flavors, maybe 10, but the quality for the ice cream can't be beat. The peanut butter ice cream was very smooth and the PB wasn't in your face overwhelming which was nice. They have a few tables inside for eating there but not a good spot for a large group to eat indoors at.

This place has great customer service and I enjoyed my visit there. They do offer samples so you can try before you buy. I tried the Spicy Pineapple and it just tasted like Pineapple. I got a Cookies and Cream Milkshake that I enjoyed. The flavor was good and there was lots of cookie pieces. My kids enjoyed the things they got. The restaurant is clean and has an inviting ambiance. I would go back again.

Renaissance ice cream is my go to spot for me and my dog to come get a nice cold treat. Came to downtown Vancouver today on Fourth of July but the sign said they are closed which made me sad. However, there's a new location at station in Camas that was open and what a treat that was to discover, same good old ice cream with awesome workers greeting you with a smile I was able to get my favorite animal cookie ice cream and Xena. My standard poodle. Got her pup cup super clean environment. Great place to bring your family or your pup.

    Classic ice cream flavors!

Service was excellent and of course the ice cream was rich and very flavorful. Price was medium high but worthwhile for this special treat. We plan on going back on special occasions!

Awesome local shop with 10 classic + 7 seasonal flavors of small-batch handcrafted icecream served in bowls just like at home. We had a classic banana split... chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry icecream topped with chocolate, strawberry, and MANGO sauces. The whipped cream was lucuios and fresh and the ice cream was delish! They also offer pies, cakes, cookies, and coffees. The shop had a pleasant homey ambiance with a fireplace and board games.

This was a solid stop for ice cream! My friend and I were looking for a late night dessert by our hotel and this did the trick. It's $8 for a single scoop, so definitely on the higher side but this is what I typically pay for a small batch ice cream shop. I had a seasonal flavor - creamsicle - with whipped cream which was very good but not amazing. Service was quick and the ambiance inside was adorable. Definitely stop by!

I came here with my family while visiting Vancouver for dessert. This place was very busy, so I was expecting great ice cream! However, it turned out to be mostly subpar. I got two flavors; cookies and cream and nutella. Weirdly, the nutella tasted a bit like another nut (not hazelnut), which was slightly concerning since I am allergic to other nuts. I didn't have a reaction, so I guess it was fine, but it was not the flavor I was expecting from nutella. The cookies and cream was much better than the nutella, thankfully. I think the pricing is fair for the portion you get, but there was nothing really special about this place.

    Ice cream after dinner :)

I have such a sweet tooth, and recently, I've been basically demanding that we grab a dessert after dinner in downtown Vancouver. Ice Cream Renaissance will often be our venue of choice to satisfy our sweet cravings because they've got a handful of delicious, unique ice cream flavors to choose from.

Stopped by and had a pretty good sorbet. Like the ambiance.

They have a nice canvas sail overhead to give some shade for seating. The inside is super small. Not what I was expecting. It was similar to Salt & Straw on the Vancouver Waterfront. It's definitely a grab and go type of establishment. I didn't see any baked goods displayed at all. Maybe they've done away with those options?! They had a nice variety of ice-cream flavors to choose from, including non-dairy selections. They also had floats. I decided on the single scoop Mint Cookies & Cream. It was absolutely delicious, and fresh! No freezer burn whatsoever, and plenty of cookies throughout. The mint flavor wasn't too overpowering either. It was the perfect after lunch treat! Staff was okay. Not super friendly at all. She didn't say much when I walked in either. I was the only one in there. It looked like you could sample some of their flavors too, but I wasn't sure if the extra interaction was welcomed. Definitely a different customer service vibe than Salt & Straw; their employees are so friendly and personable. Overall an okay experience. The ice-cream was delicious, but customer service lacking.

Assam Black Milk Tea, Regular Size, 50% Sweet, Less Ice, Non-Dairy Creamer w/ Boba ($7.20) - The milk tea has a good body and is shaken until foam develops on the surface. The Assam tea base tastes fruity, almost a bit like plum, mixed with plenty of malt essence. It's not too sweet at half and is generally good to drink. The boba is a little firm for my tastes, but is mostly acceptable. The pearls are smaller than normal boba, not mini sized, but probably could expand a bit more with more boil and soak time. They do have good, consistently smooth exteriors. Note: Less ice is still a lot of ice Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 Softea serves some decent boba. Our server was friendly and quick. She answered questions and described the specials. They have gluten free focaccia!!!! It was super yummy, but it was also served kinda cold. Worth it. We ordered the fresh catch, which was halibut with some potatoes and grilled asparagus. The accompanying sauces were delicious. The asparagus was good. The white potatoes though had been cooked previously and weren't reheated enough. They were described as new potatoes but were definitely large chunks of russets. They were hard to eat. So we didn't. We also had the Punta di Fesa which is a braised beef dish with mushrooms on polenta. The balsamic mushrooms and polenta were so flavorful and delicious. It was a good thing that my husband started with this dish (we traded halfway through and had plenty to eat!) because I would have eaten his share of the polenta too. The beef however was dry and not what I would have expected from a braised beef. When we were given a knife, we were told we probably wouldn't need it. We did. The service here was friendly and helpful. Our server was knowledgeable about gluten free needs and recommended a great bottle of wine that went well with our fish AND the beef (which is tricky...yummy Chianti AND half price!). It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night at 7. There were people that ended up waiting but not too long. There are shelves of Italian goods all around you. My husband said he felt like he was eating in a store. You kind of are, but it was still cozy. I plan to come back to try the gluten free pasta and maybe a lunch sandwich if they have solid gf options there. Also, the dessert menu looked great. We were just full.

Have been here a handful of times and usually treat it as a banh mi + sweet treat moment, but gosh the last interaction/experience made me not want to return. I arrived the scheduled time and they hadn't seen the order or even started working on it. It seemed like there may have been a tech issue or error, so eh I was fine with waiting. They did throw in a mochi donut for my wait/issue which was nice. However....it just snowballed from there. They handed me my drinks and sandwiches and I was just out the door when I looked in the bag and realized they had forgotten the vegetarian banh mi I had ordered myself -- this would have been very unfortunate since I'm vegetarian and the other two in the bag were pork.
