    Great dinner

Very good service and food was amazing. Julia took very good care of us. I would recommend having her as your server as she recommended the best family style food for us.

Visited here for a dinner with friends. Really great place to do shared plates and try a mix of things. We ordered the pickled items, dumpling and a skewer. All of them were delicious. The favorite after the dumplings was the puff pastry with beans and pork belly. The service was good and we were comfortable even seated outside

So myself and my good friends, seven in all are on an adventure to try a new restaurant in Portland and Vancouver each month. We refer to ourselves as the "Foodie Folx". This month was my turn to pick out a restaurant. I found this amazing place after some research on restaurants in Vancouver. We LOVED it. They have one table for large groups, so you need to make reservations ahead of time. We all tried a different appetizer, so we could try the different choices Dediko had. I had the Soko Ketsze - button mushrooms stuffed with cheese dill ajika flakes in a ketsze clay bowl. Very good. For dinner I had the Kabai with lamb. They have a great wine and beer selection. I then topped it all off with a piece of honey cake. ( Don't miss this) Our waiter Julia was great. She took time to go over the menu and was very friendly along with great service. It is a small restaurant with a great atmosphere. Put this place on your to do list. So off to the next great restaurant next month.

I already recommended Dediko to two of my friends. Love the ambience, very cozy seating. Food was good, but the cost was a bit more than expected. $150 for 3 dishes, a glass of wine and 3 Zandukeli. Hubby liked the adjaruli the best, and my fave was the lamb mtsvadi. The service was superb.

First time having Georgian food and this place was an incredible first experience! The dumplings were soooo flavorful - we got both the mushroom and beef/pork ones and were very good in very different ways. The khachapuri was what we were coming to try and man was it cheesy and buttery delicious that made us look up recipes to try at home. Our server was very friendly and kind and gave us great recommendations. We came in without a reservation and were offered a seat in the courtyard which we didn't mind at all.

I had not eaten Georgian food since I was in Moscow (Russia) and that was in 2019, pre-COVID and Ukraine war. So when the wife suggested Georgian for lunch in Vancouver, I was eager to go. The restaurant has a modern, upscale feel. It is on the small size but I think the waitress said there was outside seating as well. We ate indoors. I am not going to even try to remember the Georgian names of the food we ate, so my description will be Americanized. The kid started with dumplings which are larger than usual Chinese dumpings. More like Nepalese mo-mos. The there is a ball of pork fillling inside that is well-seasoned and very flavorful. The trick is to suck the juice out of the dumpling as you get a bite of meat and dough, but I was unable to do that. Anyway, the dumplings were excellent and very enjoyable. The wife and I split a stuffed cheese bread, I think it was perovani, or something like that. I had eaten Georgian bread many times in Moscow but this was the best version I ever had. The wife and I also split a the Georgian dip trio which came with three different dips a (beet, spinach, and a salsa-type that is called adjeka (I am sure the spelling is wrong). There was some Georgian cheese, which was absolutely delicious. Three eggplant rolls were good. And of course, lavash bread. My favorite was the beet dip which was very garlicky and had a nice kick. All were good but the beets were killer. They did not have the chicken stew that I would always get in Russia, but that was ok. For drinks, we tried Georgian lemonade, pear flavor, and it was outstanding. The wife had compot and loved it; it had been years since she had good compot. Our server, Julia (Yulia) was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we felt as if we had been transported to Georgia for a thoroughly enjoyable and flavorful lunch.

We don't deserve restaurants this good in Vancouver, WA. We had not eaten there before and simply ordered what the wonderful server suggested. The food was amazing; definitely unique and out of the ordinary, but in some ways familiar. She had an uncanny ability to bring the next dish at exactly the right time. We never felt rushed, and yet we never felt like we were waiting. After ordering way too much food (she warned us), she asked what we liked best, and it was impossible to pick one. We will be enjoying our leftovers. Excellent for a date night; tables had a sense of privacy so we could talk without shouting. Pricing was very reasonable, given the quality (and amount) of the food and service! We will definitely be returning.

Really wanted to love this spot and was really looking forward to visiting it but it's a mixed bag when it comes to their dishes. The restaurant is lovely. Super vibey and well-designed. Nothing to critique there. Service was also amazing and friendly. However, their dishes and pricing weren't all great. The Anchuli, 10/10. Best dish by far with flakey pastry and savory pork and beans filling. Khinkali were also herby and meaty. On the other hand, the Lamb Kababi was dry and very small for almost $40, just a skinny wrap and some soggy potato wedges. We also tried the Lobo Pot which was decent and comforting. The highs were very high but the lows were also very low. Would give them another chance with their smaller dishes rather than the mains.

I had to stop by when I was craving Georgian food as my Portland location closed during Covid :( I was in Vancouver for an errand so it as the ideal time to give the place a try. I didn't dine in but ordered for take out inside the restaurant so I can't speak to the service but they were quick to prepare. While I wanted there was a shared communal space with other businesses you could explore/take your food to dine in which was surprising to see as a little indoor plaza. Our order consisted of the below + Beef & Pork Khinkali + Khachapuri (adjaruli) + Honey Cake Did it satisfy my cravings!? You bet it did! The dishes were flavorful, well sized portions, and slowly is becoming a new type of cuisine I crave. If you're not able to get a reservation, take out might be the way to go and enjoy it at the nearby park.

I've been dreaming of honey cake since I visited Armenia & Georgia and was so happy to find out there's a Georgian restaurant not too far from Portland. Yes it's pretty expensive but it was nice to relive those memories. It was fresh and had a distinct honey taste! Happy to have found this place!

I've written many reviews in the past two decades, but this one is for the books. We're very well-traveled and well fed. We travel to experience wine and food. Italy, Denmark, France, the UK, Costa Rica, Brazil, the list goes on... we've had some stellar experiences in the past 20 years of dining around the world. It is difficult to make it on my "top 10 list" and the Top 10 list only happens after a few+ amazing experiences. DEDIKo broke a record. In one single meal, it went from our "first time here" to my TOP 3 list! Absolutely the best restaurant in all of PDX. We've tried twice in the past two years to get into DEDIKo without a reservation (our fault and our loss). On a whim, we grabbed a reservation yesterday - the best decision EVER! First, we were with our two besties, one who works in wine-country. He isn't impossible to please with wine, but it is certainly a challenge to impress him at times. We shared bottles of the Marani Gemieri and the Vaziani Tsinandali... speechless. Again, he's well versed in wine and difficult to impress and I've traveled the world, specifically to visit wine countries in France, Portugal, Italy, etc. The wine will knock your socks off. We took a family approach to dinner, deciding order many menu items and split them between the four of us (best decision ever). First came Lamb Mtsvadi. What even is this dish except heaven? This was followed by the Chicken & Pork Kababi which was equally wonderful. I thought we were impressed until the Adjaruli Khachapuri came... hands-down one of the best bread dishes I've had in my life. The Khinkali was a dumpling so good, we wanted to drink the broth from our plates! We aren't the "order again" types, but we had a second Adjaruli Khachapuri and didn't regret a bite. For dessert, the table split two orders of Baklava and for someone who hates desert, I was smiling! Hands down the best restaurant on the Western Coast. Absolutely get a reservation now and enjoy a most perfect dinner!

I've never had Georgian food before but I have a feeling Dediko is doing it justice. It may be my new favorite cuisine! The flavors are bold but complimentary. Every bite I had made me want more. I couldn't get enough of it! It is a small plate restaurant but I could have easily finished off a plate of two myself. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the service was fantastic, and the food is worth the price. If you have a more adventurous palette, I would highly recommend Dediko.

Dediko is a very quaint restaurant with an atmosphere that is perfect for date night. Our servers were very helpful and explained our dishes to us, as we had never had Georgian cuisine before. The food was wonderfully spiced, and we liked the Rachuli.

I absolutely love the katchupiri & the Georgian dumplings. The honey cake is so delicious as well, if you have a sweet tooth.

We had a 5:15 seating and it only got busier and busier as the evening went on, which was really humming all night. I particularly love the happy hour menu because it lets you try a broader range of dishes at a fraction of the usual price. We decided to skip the mains and just order a bunch of cold and hot zakuskis, though I definitely had my eye on the Golubsti for a future visit. Everything we tried was fantastic and felt like a real journey through post-Soviet cuisine, specifically via Belarus if I'm remembering correctly. The tangy assortment of pickled vegetables was a great start, followed by the ultra-salty (in the best way) and sumptuous caviar on toast. The savoriness of the meat dumplings was a great yin to the yang of the richness and creaminess of the farmer's cheese dumplings, and the cod liver on rye was beautifully balanced by a snowfall of fresh horseradish on top. The standout, though, was the Herring 'Under a Fur Coat', which the menu describes as a Russian 7-layer dip and which was absolutely spectacular, airy, and light in a way I was not expecting when they first set the dish down in front of me. Our server was warm, attentive, and always happy to jump in with recommendations, which made the whole experience even better. The space itself was full of energy, and the shop upstairs is also a fun bonus, with everything from the same dumplings they serve in the restaurant, but frozen, to a wide selection of wines and liquors. Overall a fantastic meal overall and already looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu!

The servers were pleasant and helpful. The food... it was hit or miss a little. There are only 3-4 main dishes, the rabbit was very good, but the cabbage rolls were just average. The potato pancakes served with the rabbit were prepared well, but had no complimentary sauce or flavor. The dumplings were tasty, the smoked fish snack app were good, but the rye bread was just okay. The lavash pocket was good, better with the dipping sauce. Everything is interesting and enjoyable to at least try once. Then you can decide on return trips.

I was quoted a 10 min wait time so I would expect a longer wait time if there was actually a line. I'm more used to Asian variations of these types of dumplings.
