Tasty soft serve, plus a very nice seating area to chill and sip on boba! Service was fast, and the workers were very friendly. I had a fun time strolling around next door (self-serve ramen) looking at the various trinkets, while enjoying my soft serve.
Decent tea place in Vancouver. We found this place while figuring out what to do while in Portland. The tea was good and I like adjusting the sweetness. The tea place is huge and has lots of space, especially in the back area. Parking is street parking in front! I highly recommend!
I knew of the capybara theme of this place prior to coming, but was pleasantly surprised by how big and cute this cafe was. There is merch, board games, and a spacious, well-lit seating area in the back. I love the Instagram counter they had. The staff were all very kind, and the order arrived quickly. Unfortunately, I didn't like the drink that much. First, it was not filled all the way; They could have just added a bit more ice. I also got 25% sugar with less ice, which is my typical order, but it tasted like VERY watered-down tea. I would essentially describe it as water with a bit of tea flavor. If it were a powdered drink (instead of real tea), I would prefer to have known early on because I would have changed my order. The boba was also very mushy and overcooked. Maybe I was unlucky the day I went. I would be down to give this place another shot, however. There are not many boba options in downtown Vancouver, so I think this place definitely fills that need/want.
Beautifully presented. Soft serve was creamy and drinks packed lots of flavor. They have iPads for ordering if you prefer but you can also order at the counter. Cute and cozy area to sit and enjoy with couches which is a bonus. Attached to minari mart so easily have dinner next door and pop over here for dessert.
Can't make it to Japan to visit a capybara cafe? No problem, Softea can help reduce the FOMO. This spot serves up tasty soft serve and drinks without completely relying on the gimmick of theming. Many other shops will have amazing aesthetics but mediocre goods. Happy to say Softea does both well for a spot with variety. Prices are great for most basic items but their specialties, infused with toppings and soft serve, charge a premium which is very fair. Street parking available (both angled and parallel parking) for the shops around. Restroom available. Wifi available. Interior is split with a working area (quieter) in front and the capybara lounge in the back (louder), where they ask phone calls to be taken outside of the capybara section so others can enjoy the ambiance. Jasmine Green Milk Tea w/ Boba - a simple green milk tea that has a solid balance of milk to tea. The floral green tea is evident with a creaminess from the milk. Boba had a good chew with light sweetness. Matcha Tornado w/ Boba - like tornado drinks at other places, there's a nice aesthetic of cream swirled on the cup but doesn't mix entirely into the drink. This is a standard across boba shops where the experience could be improved. However, the matcha milk tea and the matcha cream together have a fair matcha flavor, bitter and grassy. Not super strong but present and very delicious.
Super cute Capybara themed Boba shop! Lots of yummy drink flavors and fun merch to purchase as well. I had the strawberry Lychee fruit tea with Lychee jellies, 50% sweet with Jasmine tea and it was perfect! So refreshing on a warm day! The shop is quite large with plenty of places to sit, study or just hangout. Would definitely recommend giving them a try!
Was craving boba and saw this shop with great reviews and was really busy so decided to give it a try. They have a pretty big menu and I went with their recommendation of a not too sweet strawberry boba drink but omg it was soooo sweet. I had to mix it with water when I got home :( The shop is very cute and has a great seating area for people to just hang out but too bad the boba is not for me.
Friendly staff but we didn't interact much since we used the kiosk at the front desk. When we got the Bubble Tea, the Boba itself was not brown sugar even though it said it was it was very bland and not cooked well. The flavor of the smoothies and ice cream was delicious. We did ask if the Boba is normally cooked in a brown sugar recipe, but we did not get a replacement or offered to get some Boba with a new batch. The setting of the shop was very big and spacious and very welcoming. I am usually picky about the Boba and that was the only disappointing thing! I might go back if I am in Vancouver again.l to try a different flavor.
Decent. I've been here 4-5 times and the drinks are often inconsistent. I've ordered the same drink on two separate occasions and one time it was lovely and the other it was watered down to the max. The cashiers are on the younger side and not very warm or welcoming. The soft serve is quite light and somewhat gritty? Not creamy and smooth like you'd expect. The space is inviting and well decorated. I love that they have board games to play and the shop is spacious. Parking is iffy and really depends on if it's a busy time for downtown. This is the kind of place I would maybe stop by if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of the way for.
Finally, there's a bubble tea place that also has soft serve as well. This place has some interesting flavors of tea drinks and some that combine with sift serve. I had the Pineapple Express - strawberry jasmine tea, strawberry bits, strawberry poppers, and dole whip soft serve on top. This drink was what I expected it to be - refreshing and cooling at the same time. I did enjoy the soft serve part of the drink. I have to try some of their other items next time I am I'm the area.

A cafe like this is surprising to find out in Vancouver, it screams Seattle to me so I'm quite happy we have something like this to enjoy here. I got the soft tea, which was essentially strawberry soft serve over the strawberry fields tea (passionfruit tea with strawberry bits), but requested to change the soft serve into a swirl with strawberry and dole while together. The drink tasted okay, but the soft serve wasnt super smooth. It was a bit gritty/chunky for both the flavors, and I had expected it to be smooth. It might've just been the batch I had that day. Another thing is that I wish there were dome lids available. I couldn't exactly finish my drink before needing to head out, and asked for a lid but they said they didnt have lids available- but if I were to finish the ice cream below the cup line they could seal it with their machine they seal their boba cups with. Parking sucks especially with a lot of the construction around the area, so be prepared to find street parking a bit further.
The ambience, food, and service is always a first class experience! It's a great space for studying or catching up with friends.

The wintermelon milk tea has wintermelon & oolong tea mixed together which I thought was interesting. The oolong flavor and wintermelon flavor tougher was okay. I got more of the oolong than wintermelon flavor. The boba was chewy. Other people who ordered before me got their softeas which looked really good. The concept of tea + soft serve + toppings is new to me but wasn't feeling some soft serve.
Food: Ube Soft Serve (Small) with Graham Cracker Dust (5/5): Excellent. Thick and creamy with incredible texture. The ube flavor really came through without being too artificial or overly sweet. Perfect on a warm day. Service: Not Rated Order by tablet and it came out fast. Ambiance: Not Rated Connected to Minari Market that just opened. Small tables, couches, and large tables throughout the space. Nice spot to hang out and enjoy your dessert. read more
Softea is a modern and trendy Capybara themed boba establishment. They have a huge space in downtown Vancouver with tons of seating in front and an entire gaming area in the back with even more seating. Walking in on a Saturday afternoon, the place was quite crowded with a line at the cash register, but for some reason no line at the order kiosk. When I visited, there was a interesting Korean build-your-own instant ramen shop in their soft opening phase in the shop connected to (and only enterable from) Softea. Assam Black Milk Tea, Regular Size, 50% Sweet, Less Ice, Non-Dairy Creamer w/ Boba ($7.20) - The milk tea has a good body and is shaken until foam develops on the surface. The Assam tea base tastes fruity, almost a bit like plum, mixed with plenty of malt essence. It's not too sweet at half and is generally good to drink. The boba is a little firm for my tastes, but is mostly acceptable. The pearls are smaller than normal boba, not mini sized, but probably could expand a bit more with more boil and soak time. They do have good, consistently smooth exteriors. Note: Less ice is still a lot of ice Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 Softea serves some decent boba. This is my favorite boba shop! I recommend this place all the time to friends. My recent favorite drink is the pistachio milk tea with boba and the salty milk foam. It has a very large sitting area in the back and a restroom, with some more sitting areas in the front as well. I never played any games, just worked on homework, but they have a variety of games for friends and family to enjoy there. Overall, please visit and try different drinks at this shop! They also brought in bubble waffles which has been kinda new. Update: forgot to input this but I like the boba. I have been to a few places where the boba is very hard to chew or kinda frozen. Soo tasty! I got the roasted oolong with boba at 50% sweet which was a good amount of sweetness. The oolong flavor really stands out and has a great nutty/roasty flavor. The boba was a great texture - chewy but not TOO soft and has a good sweetness inside and out. Also the inside is super cute and looks like a really chill place to hang out with friends. The hoodie in the merch area is cute too. Our server was really friendly/helpful and we barely had to wait for our drinks :) read more

Sit down and shut up, they have LACTOSE FREE soft serve?! Honestly, mind blown. You can bet that I was on the capybara reels/tiktok bandwagon so I was intrigued when I saw a boba spot pop up just completely oozing in capybara goods. I love that they have free stickers and other capybara items you can purchase while sippin on your tea. I have tried their milk teas, fruit teas, softeas (tea w/soft serve), and soft serve. Alas, lacking a bit because I haven't had their "tornado" drinks. Tea wise, loved all of their drinks from the classic black milk tea to the cappycino and the strawberry matcha latte. And toppings wise, they make some of the best boba in the area -- good chewy texture, brown sugar flavor strong, and never too hard or disintegrating into bits. Their softeas are ENORMOUS and I died trying to eat one by myself -- they can make you a softea to go by squishing the soft serve in and sealing it though Id o wonder if they can just get...over the cup lids eventually? Regardless, I'm happy I can get it to go. Now back to my opening statement, their soft serve is LACTOSE free and honestly I couldn't even tell if it wasn't written up on the board -- this is by far the best lactose free item I have ever had in my life. Please go try it so you know I'm not lying! You can get boba toppings on your soft serve which I think is great~ Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions and service was quite friendly. The interior is actually rather large and has a great deal of seating. Would absolutely recommend coming by! read more
You've gotta check out Softea! This is a great spot to get a sweet treat -- whether you're looking for a milk tea, soft serve ice cream, or both, Softea is where it's at. I got "The Breakfast Club", which is a mix of milk tea and ube soft serve; I really enjoyed it and liked that I could adjust the sweetness of the milk tea. I also tried the pineapple dole whip soft serve, which was super yummy. You can't go wrong with any of the menu items. As for the environment, the store is extremely clean with cute decorations. The capybara theme ties it all together. There is plenty of seating, including a spacious seating area in the back. The vibes seem very chill, and it feels like a good place to hang out with friends. The store also has many board games available to play. I recommend you come and try Softea! read more
First off, this place is super cute. The decor & theme of this place is perfection. They run a bit of a smaller menu. There is only one size, but you can adjust your ice & sugar level if you'd like. I got the strawberry matcha cortado with boba & my bf got the pineapple express with boba. The boba had a good flavor & was cooked to a perfect texture. The drinks itself were good, but not really anything special. Somehow both drinks costed us $20. To me, that seemed a bit high. But service was good & everyone was really friendly. read more

Softea was pretty good. Nothing that blows me out of the water. I got 50% sweet and it was reallyyyyyy sweet still. Beware of that! The serve is great, the team is very kind. The interior of the space is very spacious and bright. It's a perfect spot for an evening hangout. It's not my favorite tea but a fun spot. read more

The workers are so nice! And the area is really big and open with many seating options. I got the organic matcha with boba. I would say the drinks are mediocre at most and the boba is a little harder compared to other places. But I would definitely come back to try their soft serve. read more
Great idea, I almost laughed that I had never seen it before. Boba and ice cream really work together well and this was a first. The purple rain and Pineapple Express were both really good, and the soft serve that my grandkid got of just the ube and vanilla was equally great. I will 100% get this again and hope to see one closer to me in California soon. read more

What an adorable and delicious shop! Serving soft serve, boba, and coffee this place is as cute as downtown Vancouver gets. Highlighted by adorable capybaras EVERYWHERE this place will make any ones heart squee. Friendly staff, wicked fast service, Dole whip on forever (for those like my partner who are obsessed), and taro everything (for taro obsessed folx like myself). Like, just go already. Finally had a chance to stop in and try their drinks. My husband and I have tried to come a few times but it was always when they were closed. Service is nice and friendly. Establishment is very clean and very cute inside. Pretty spacious and they have card games you can play and merchandise you purchase, like hoodies, stuffed animals, little backpacks/bags. They even have stickers which are free. Their menu is pretty small compared to other boba places I've been too. They didn't have what I usually ordered so I tried their matcha drink and my brother tried one of their slush drinks. Both were good! Will definitely come by again to try other items! read more
Nice addition to downtown. The space is bright, big and inviting. Service is great. The drinks a pretty expensive, but it is high quality. I got the strawberry litchi drink. I ordered it half sweet and it was still a little on the sweet side, but very refreshing and it had a ton of fresh strawberries and a whole litchi. They let me sample the ube soft serve, and it is great, I will be back for that. There are not really any food options, they were sold out of the crispy chicken when I went and that is the only offering. I would suggest more options there. Overall, a good place to hang out with friends, and have some fun drinks. read more
This new bubble tea place is so cute! Super spacious and very clean. The customer service was awesome and the drinks were delicious and refreshing. Percent for a hot summer day. The Vancouver Farmers Market is near by so I hope you stop by after from shopping and grab a capybara drink! read more

The interior design with the capybara theme is really cute and I appreciate the different areas to sit and stand. I also like that they are also using premium ingredients while also offering creative flavor mixes. I personally enjoyed their ube soft serve with fruity pebbles so I would come again for that! With that being said, I've been here a couple times. If you prefer your bubble drinks on the sweeter side, you may or may not like this spot since their milk tea and fruit teas (not the special teas with the soft serve on top) are, in my experience, quite mild in flavor/sweetness. Cool place to check out but just be mindful that 100% sweetness level here is much less than 100% sweetness level at other shops. read more

I got the Purple rain drink which came out to $10 and some change with tax I got the pineapple dole whip but forgot to take a picture, that one was yummy as well about $6 Service was quick & friendly, there was only 1 customer ahead but the ambiance inside was clean & nice. If you walk past the ordering area, there's plenty of seating & games. I think great area for kids, studying, etc. Definitely coming back with my daughter read more

So happy to see a new boba place in Vancouver! This place is surprisingly spacious inside, and thoroughly decked out. Lots of seating with tables and couches, capybara decor all over, some games to play while you drink your tea. They've really put effort into making this a nice hang out spot. More importantly - the boba tea is delicious! The jasmine strawberry tea was so refreshing and tasty. Service was also fast, friendly, and helpful. I'll definitely be back to try more drinks soon! read more
