I usually ask for less ice but forgot to do so this time. Definitely understaffed/could benefit from optimization, drinks came out real slow but the staff was kind and I wasn't in a hurry. The drinks themselves were good. Not an excessive amount of ice. Not sickeningly sweet (for my drink anyway). The lids with little ears were cute. Thos shop always has great Boba today but this review is specifically for the employees. There was a girl working today who was also knitting adorable animals to sell. My child clearly wanted one (he was told no because tomorrow is Christmas) and was understandably disappointed but when our Boba was done the girl handed him this adorable octopus saying "Merry Christmas" it made his day! What drew me to this place was the bear-shaped cups, which I think is such a unique take to such a saturated boba scene. The staff are really friendly and the service was fast. I always take a long time to decide what to get when it comes to boba, and they were very patient with me. Boba was kind of overcooked, but had a nice sweetness. Nothing really stood out to me about the milk tea. I really like strong tea flavors in my milk tea, and this place did not satisfy that craving. Got boba here one evening and it was great! Walking into the shop, there's lots of plants and decor--it's very cozy. Their menu is quite diverse as it has fruit tea options, milk tea, and yogurt and yam drinks! My friends and I spent FOREVER deciding what we wanted to get. The establishment is larger than one would expect, but a LOT of it is filled with things like plants under grow lights, etc., taking up space that could otherwise be used for seating, etc. Parking is pretty easy due to the large parking lot of the strip mall Daboba is located in, which is nice. Just be aware of its proximity to one of the main shopping center entrances, as this can make for a long wait when trying to back out of the parking spaces in front of the store. The drinks themselves are AWESOME, as they should be for the prices (definitely on the high side). One of my top favorite boba spots now in Vancouver. This amazinggg boba spot is within ~15 mins where we live. My fiancé and I went two weekends in a row because we were so impressed the first time. The first time we ordered Roasted Brown Sugar Milk Tea and the Passionfruit green tea both 50% sweet. I think the Roasted Brown Sugar Milk Tea may have had cheese foam? But it was still delicious since there was some good contrast between the sweet and saltiness. And you've got the perfect balance of milk and tea where you taste both. The boba was heavenly, some of the best I've had. My fiancé loved his passionfruit green tea. We did order two different drinks the second time, the Japanese Roasted Milk tea and the Fruity party, both were good but we liked our orders the first time around. Boba was amazing both times. We came in here on their soft opening. The staff appeared very busy with a number of orders. Their drinks mostly use syrups and powders, typical of most conventional Boba places, which unfortunately doesn't set itself apart very well. Oddly they ran out of some Boba toppings already when we showed up at 2pm. We ended up ordering an Oolong Crema, and we were told the tea might be too bitter with no sugar added ( at our request). If anything, we felt it could've been brewed more. Part of a new and fast growing franchise, the decor is cute and casual, and if you're looking for a quick tea drink they might satisfy you. Being a milktea lover I've always been very nervous to try out new boba tea places in Portland/ Vancouver. So happy there's a new and very good milktea place in Vancouver and pretty close to N Portland. We've been here twice and both times the drinks were all point. I stopped here for Daboba's Soft Opening. I've had it before in San Diego, so I wanted to see how the one in Vancouver was. The other location in WA is in Bellevue. For their soft opening, they ran out of some ingredients for some drinks but that is expected for a soft opening. The staff is definitely still getting used to their routine on making the drinks, so the drinks aren't made that quickly yet. However, I think it will be faster once everyone figures out a routine. The owners are really nice, drinks are modifiable for sweetness and sugar level. There's also a variety of toppings too. I ordered their shooting star drink that comes with coconut jelly. It's really refreshing. Also got a Thai tea with boba. The Thai tea is a classic Thai tea, the boba is sweet, chewy and warm. The decor here is aesthetic, and there's definitely room for them to add more seats and tables. There is a good amount of parking since they are located inside a large shopping complex. They measured the volumes, added some boba and after they added the milk, they sprinkled something on top. I was confused at first; what are they doing to my drink? BAM, they brought out the blow torch! Creme brulee topping? What in the world is this? Wow. That was quite the nice touch and surprise! I liked the extra flavoring, however, I think the boba itself could use some work. The sweet flavor is there, but boba tasted a little old. oh! Ever since I first tried Daboba recently, I've been coming back at least once a week (and I'm from Portland!). So far I've tried 4 different drinks: winter melon green tea, roasted brown sugar pearl yam milk tea, roasted brown sugar pearl matcha, and Japanese roasted milk tea. I would give all the drinks 10/10! My friends and I have gotten the same drinks over and over again and it's still so good everytime. My current addiction is the roasted brown sugar pearl yam milk tea. I think it's perfect with no adjustments. Their pearls is also perfect; soft with the perfect level of chewy. I usually don't get pearls at other shops because I don't really like how it's made but here, probably one of the best pearls I've ever tried and I get it every single time. It doesn't stop at their amazing drinks, the staff are super friendly and their customer service is great! Another plus is they allow dogs! I brought my 2 yr old Pomeranian in and it was okay! Depending on how busy the place is when you visit, the drinks can take a little long to make because there's usually only 1 person making drinks and 1 person at the cashier that helps make the drinks in between taking orders, but the wait isn't bad at all and for the quality of drinks you get, it's well worth it! And I can't forget to mention their interior has cute deco that makes a good background for pics! I should mention, I tried a new place called Softea recently that's about 10 minutes away from Daboba and I was so disappointed with the drinks and soft serve there that I had to come back to Daboba the very next day for my redemption drink. I tried two of their drinks and they were both so bad that I ended up throwing both of them out after two sips, it was just tragic. Authentic bubble tea. Very popular Taiwanese flavors available. I had just mentioned a couple of days ago that I wanted some grass jelly and I was super excited that they had it available to add to my milk tea. I asked about a drink called shooting star and was told it is kumquat and lemon flavor. That sounds exciting and I want to try it next time. I noticed they don't have 101 bubble flavors like some places, but focus on Boba and that their flavors were mostly very authentic to what you would see in Taiwan. The boba tasted very fresh, the mango yogurt drink was delicious. The Thai iced tea was very sweet, which is typical. I usually order it half sweet and add boba. The staff is all young and energetic. They handled the crowd with ease. We made a big order of 6 drinks and they got them all made correctly, quickly, and very well. I was impressed! The shop has lots of seating to use while you wait for your drink. Very cute decorations that are perfect for drink selfies. Stopped in for a passionfruit iced green tea and the female working seemed like she had no idea about any of the items. Just wanted the "nata de coco" jelly that was listed on their menu for toppings and she kept saying nata means everything (as in all of their toppings), including the boba. But if that is what that means, why does it not mean that at other boba locations? And if that is what that means, why is the word "nata" only for that one item and not used in front of the other toppings? Weird.
