We have had a gift card for this place for 5 years, at least. All of the CSC near us have been closed for ages. This is the closest, and any time we are in Burlington we forget to bring it with us. We were here just before Christmas at another store picking something up and decided it was time. It had been ages since we had been into one and I was ready to try it again. So glad I did. I forgot how great the [insert candy or other items here] you get mixed in with the [insert flavor here] ice cream served in a [type of bowl or cone here] really is. I ended up with chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cup pieces and Reese's Peanut Butter sauce in a waffle bowl. Such a great choice even though it was approx. 20F out. A couple hours before they closed, there were a few people working, and there were customers coming in and out at a steady pace. No complaints. Well... maybe one. The last Cold Stone they told me somehow I could mix up things in the signature ice creams in one. When I walked into here and confirmed that the girl was a lil moody and like no you cannot. So I just went with the cake batter batter. I was the only one in there, a couple people came in after I ordered, but pretty empty. We walked in about 10 minutes before closing, and the two girls standing behind the counter visually rolled their eyes. If the sign on the door says that you are open until nine, then expect to work making ice cream for a customer until that time. Keep in mind we had to dodge rubber mats thrown at the front of the door as it looked like they might've been cleaning them and left them there because it was so cold out or whatever the reason was, but it was certainly a trip hazard. My daughter opened the door to go in first and the wind pushed it as I was entering and caught the left sleeve of my jacket in the door jam and ripped it on a sharp part of the lock. When I asked a gentleman who came out from the back if he was the manager and showed him my jacket and explained the situation his response was "well people need to be more careful don't they?" this is a $1300 jacket that is no longer made and I will be reporting this to Corporate as the lack of concern care, or sympathy was downright pathetic. So first we have a bunch of kids rolling their eyes when we walked in. I have a jacket that was ripped on the door, stepping over a bunch of mats that never should have been where they were and lastly, I have a manager with an attitude without a lack of concern for a customer. The review of this place clearly is accurate in the sense that they don't deserve anything more than a mid-level review. Came here for the first time on the afternoon of a holiday weekend. What's Hot - Location. General good location. It's in a plaza around other amenities, such as shops and restaurants. LOL), which came with brownie, caramel, pecans, shredded coconut (and I think some fudge?). The brownie was soft and moist, which was delish. My order came out pretty well, but hubby's didn't, which I address below). What's Not - Health and safety. Out of all the staff there, we saw one without a mask. So not bad, but not great. - Service. Pretty slow. There were 4 staff when we arrived. When hubby and I arrived, there were 2 customers ahead of us and 1 of them was already at the cash register. There was a delay and lack of coordination, which is why they didn't appear like they were working together as a team. - Quality. Hubby ordered their largest size (gotta have it) and the staff who made his combination order made it soupy. As in, much of the ice cream was soft and kind of melted (ie: soupy). It still tasted good, but hubby had to lick and slurp it up pretty quickly. This location is a joke. I ordered a DIY cupcake set the day prior and come pickup time, nothing was prepared. I spent an extra half hour waiting for the associate to call their manager and question where my order could possibly be. On top of that, the product I was provided with was the most depressing looking thing you could imagine. I've had their ice cream cupcakes before and this did not compare. I would give zero stars if that was an option. As soon as I walked in they expected us to recite our order as if I was a priest reading the bible on Easter Sunday. Unfortunately, I needed more then 2 seconds to figure out what type of ice cream I wanted. When I said that I wasn't ready to order and I needed a moment to look at the flavors they looked at us with the most disgusted look on their face. My friend even lost her appetite after the attitude we were flashed when walking in. They charged my other friend 2 TIMES for her ice cream (which is 8 dollars each for the smallest size) and did not refund her. I payed 8 dollars for an ice cream of the smallest size with two toppings which is absolutely unorthodox. It was halfway full because the staff was rushing to get us out of there. It's probably been a decade since I've been to cold stone and my recent experience there won't cause me to rush back anytime soon. The wind chill was -11 but we still wanted ice cream. It was a holiday weekend and most places were packed but Cold Stone was empty when we popped in. We ordered signature flavors - chocolate devotion and goey chocolate cheesecake. Chocolate devotion was made with chocolate ice cream mixed with brownies and chocolate sauce. The goey chocolate cheesecake was a new addition to the menu and it consisted of caramel chocolate cheesecake ice cream, graham cracker pie crust, oreos, whipped cream, and fudge. Many places are far more creative these days than cold stone is so I was already feeling like I'd been cheated out of $5 for a "like it" when I got ready to take a bite of the chocolate devotion. After I tasted it, I knew I'd been ripped off. There's something about the very soft consistency of the ice cream that threw it off, not to mention the old, stale brownies that had a terrible aftertaste. I was never a big fan of Cold Stone. If I want old school tried and true ice cream, I very much prefer Baskin Robbins. The quick mixing of brownies and ice cream did little to entice me. I think this is the first cold stone in recent times which I didn't enjoy at all. I ordered a cheesecake fantasy and they gave it to someone else and forgot about it. I had to remind and get it done again. I have to say it wasn't my fantasy to eat whole frozen strawberries and blueberries in ice cream. The least I expect is that they chop it. When I pointed out they mentioned that it's supposed to come with whole strawberries, and I bet this is the first place that ever does it like that. The order was also incorrect and did not include the requested and paid for waffle bowl. Upon bringing it it home, the mix-ins were better described as toppings because there was little incorporation into the ice cream. Staff seemed overwhelmed with juggling online orders and walk-in customers. Staff was about as cold with the welcoming as the stone they use to prepare the ice cream. Did not try to help clear out customers waiting for their online order. One female worker blatantly glared at us and skipped over us when waiting for service. I've always loved this place in the past, but my experience today wasn't the best. I had gotten a small cotton candy with marshmallows on a chocolate dipped cone with sprinkles. The ice cream tasted like blue-raspberry slush and nothing like cotton candy. The cone was also soggy and not the best. I would recommend this place to someone who wants more of a normal ice cream flavor without a cone, but nothing special like cones or slush like flavors. Visited last evening. When I arrived, there was a customer being waited on by one worker and a second worker, a young man, looking to be doing some restocking. The customer ahead of me was ordering multiple items, so I hoped the young man you jump in and take my order. But he did not. The worker helping the customer was checking her out and that took awhile as well as the customer had coupons to process and then had an issue with her credit card. I'll still waiting and the two other employees are still ignoring me. I say to the worker checking out the other customer if she is the only one that can help customers? She says, "oh" and asks the 2nd worker that arrived to come help me, which she did. I've become obsessed with Cold Stone Creamery and continue to further regret the closure of the small little Cold Stone I used to have back in Westwood. This location is in the Wayside Commons in Burlington, off Exit 33A from Rt 128. Of course inside another shopping center.... every Cold Stone these days has to be in a big, new, bright shopping center. Gone are the days when they are in small towns in small villages (sorry, rant over regarding me missing the one in Westwood). Anyway, the service was great here, the ice cream is great (you seriously cannot go wrong with Cold Stone), and the options are fabulous. If you get the Sunday newspaper, don't forget to check the coupon inserts as Cold Stone regularly puts in a few offers. You should also sign up for their e-club and get rewards for your purchases. They also have fabulous cakes and ice cream available for purchase all the time. Upon looking, the menu is extensive for an ice cream place, but it's good that they have options for all. I would honestly be shocked if anyone said they didn't like their ice cream. I'd come back if I was in the area again and would highly suggest this place for ice cream in the Burlington area (especially considering there aren't any ice cream places in the Burlington Mall / Third Avenue developments since Bedford Farms closed). 5 stars. read more

I am so disappointed with the ice cream cake. First, I was not able to place an order online, and I have to call the Burlington store. The girl on the phone told me their online system didn't work. I have been there twice in the past month. The 1st time I order via the mobile app and when I got there it took them 15 minutes just to acknowledge me after waving at them multiple times. When they finally got to me they took another 10 minutes just to get my order out of the freezer. I could understand if they were busy there was only one other party in front of me. The second time I decided to order in person. The employee that helped me was just plain rude and also gave me a container covered with ice cream on the outside. After a long tiring day we thought of treating ourself and hence decided to go to this creamery. We ordered chocolate devotion and guy responsible for the job filled the quart with plain chocolate and when we confronted him he said he is using it for measurement. He barely added any choco chip, syrup and fudge. While filling the quart with ice cream he kept the quart on the ice cream ruing the bottom of the quart. In the end,he realized that he is messed up and box is still empty even after using the same for measurement. That says a lot about the his desire to work. Instead of making more chocolate devotion he filled the rest of the box with plain chocolate ice cream. Epitome of irresponsibility and bad hygiene. The guy never cared to clean the box and you can see how it ruined the poly bag in the video. Now when we are about to take the quart we realized that the lid does not fit the box. When i confronted the guy he said this is by design. If that's the case then Cold stone creamery deserves the worst design award for designing such a lid which does not fit the box. This was surely not an experience I was looking forward to and surely ruined my day. I wish I had tried some other store which took customers and their work seriously. Of all the bad icecream shops I have been to, this is the worst. I ordered the Founder's Favorite and I got a melted goo with big brownie pieces swimming in it. And that's because the icecream was barely mixed with the brownie and it was kept on the cold stone for less than 3 seconds. Also, cup wasn't even filled with the icecream even though there was icecream left on the stone and eventually thrown away.
