Service 2.5/5 The lady on register was nice. The two making the coffee didn't acknowledge me one bit (gentleman and lady with shoulder length brownish hair with blonde highlights. I said thanks for the drinks. Crickets. My wife said thank you when we walked out the door. Nothing. Not a great last impression when leaving a coffee shop. Finally tried this cute coffee place which is a total walking distance from us. We had the instigator and I know why it's their best seller. It has the perfect strength of coffee with the sweetness that I usually like in my coffee. If you are close by - try this place. Tried their pistachio latte with oat milk and made it decaf. Delicious! I was hesitant about the pistachio in a coffee but they said if you like pistachio, you're really gonna like this and it did NOT disappoint. It took me a while to decide, they were very patient with me and helpful, asking a lot of open questions to help me decide. It was ready fairly soon after. So happy to have it in the neighborhood. On my first trip here I wanted to try one of their specialties something out of my norm and they have plenty of choices! Love their uniqueness. Super friendly and helpful staff, the whole space is such a vibe, such a cute spot some seating inside and a bit outside. I've never heard of CoffeeDrunk before, but social media works and an IG post about them opening nearby and with a special on their signature drink, the Instigator, caught my eye so we decided to check the spot out. Very cute, chill spot. Not many tables inside, but maybe it's by design so they don't have people sitting around all day on their laptops working. Subtly, I'm glad if that's the case because I can't count the number of times I go to a coffee place to enjoy a drink and can't find a place to sit because people treat a table as their personal office or library. I could go on a giant rant about this but I'll just say if a coffee shop welcomes that type of customer, I would suggest they dedicate a portion of their dining room to cater to those folks so people don't setup shop there. The staff was friendly and was helpful in discussing their drink options and non-dairy alternatives for my SO. The instigator, which I ordered, was delicious! It wasn't overly sweet and I could taste that hint of maple, which I enjoyed. Parking was surprisingly easy on Wardlow, but it could be because we came by around 2pm. We're soooo excited CD opened up in Cal Heights!! We love a good local coffee spot! This location is only 10mins away from home, awesome! We enjoyed the vibe at grand opening. Super cool merch and friendly staff. I love the cute outdoor seating area. As for drinks, you can't go wrong with the instigator or last call--if you're into coffee ofc. I personally enjoy matcha over coffee so I tend to order the blueberry matcha with oatmilk. Try it! It's a subtle fruity flavor, yet very refreshing. Note that it only comes iced. This location has parking only in front of the building & across the street. It was full so I parked across the street. When I went in, there was a line to the door but they got the orders in pretty quickly! It was my first time here & got a run down on the menu. I think it was good that she explained the menu to me. I got the instigator because she said that had more of a coffee taste than sweet . Then I saw a pastry that looks like an empanada that caught my eye! She said it was filled with curry and potatoes, so I got that as well!! When I got my drink I noticed they used mason jars to shake the drink instead of the two metal cups which I thought was interesting! Overall, 5/5 on the service. 4/5 on the coffee, it was still too sweet for me. And 5/5 in the pastry, I think they need to warm it up a little longer because the inside was a little cold! For the last year that I've been coming here, I've never had a negative experience. Whether the employee I dealt with today is new or not, I don't know, but today was the first negative experience. I left annoyed but decided it didn't matter... until I thought my food order was wrong. I was disabused of that notion. And kudos to the young woman for nodding and smiling through my complaint. But the real reason I was pissed was because the same young woman, despite no other customers being there and her making eye contact with me a couple times, let me sit there for ten minutes before she realized she hadn't given me my croissant. Came in today on my way back from the doctors to try this place out. Walked in and being first timers the gentleman behind the counter explained the me to us. My bf had the velvet latte and i had one of their seasonal items, blueberry brown sugar latte. Both coffees tasted amazing. I really liked how smooth the velvet latter was without being too overwhelming. My latte was a great hint of sweet and savory. The place is small and the chairs are super low stools which were challenging for my tall bf. But i guess that helps people circulate. read more

I have been to another location, so this review is specific and singular to the service at this location. We waited for over 20 minutes for our order. Saw multiple people (who ordered after us) receive their orders. After inquiring to the employee who took our order, he informed us that he is surprised our order was not yet received and that the order must have been lost. Great coffee here but the service sucks. I always order a cold brew with cream and light ice. On my last visit, the barista told me he wasn't going to fill my cup up to the top because I got light ice. He said their drinks are pre measured. I completely understand that when ordering a specialty drink. A cold brew is not that. I tried to explain but he wouldn't budge. That's fine. I like their coffee but I will not be cheated. I go to many coffee shops and this is only the second time I have this problem, first time here and I've been here plenty of times. So, I hope that those two ounces they were too cheap to pour was worth losing a customer. I'm sure they don't care, they have plenty of customers. The Phat Americano with a lime squeezed in is so great for a hot summer day, I highly recommend it. The baristas are so nice, at this point we've learned most of the staff's names and they remember ours. Even when we were new, they treated us so kindly. There's a new location on Atlantic, but I prefer this one on Wardlow. It's more chill and easier to find a spot to park--which is great if you need to pop in real quick. They opened one near me and I couldn't be happier! Super cute and modernized inside. Cute little stool like chairs with mini tables. Not sure if this place is study friendly tho, i did not see any restrooms inside. They even sell merchandise inside like (shirts, bags, and other small things). Staff are very nice and helpful when it comes to which coffee/drink to order! But i really liked their seasonal menu! They said the instigator is what they are known for so will try that next time!! First time stopping by here Ive been wanting to try it and it was great. Pretty empty for Saturday morning. They had burrito options to choose from and the other option is pastries. I tried their ham and cheese croissant it was great- not too big which is fine. I had their Last Call and added a shot of espresso it was amazing.
