As an avid cold brew fan, I'm confident the drink I got here wasn't made properly. It tasted like regular brewed coffee-bitter, acidic, and nowhere near smooth. I rushed back to my car because the only free spot was a 10-minute parking space, and once I drove off, I realized they hadn't even added the macadamia nut creme cold foam I paid for. I couldn't go back since there was no parking anywhere around this medical building. On top of that, the staff didn't help the experience-the young lady at the counter had a clear "I don't want to be here" attitude, which was not inviting at all. Very nice, clean and quiet spot. I really enjoyed the black sesame latte but wish they did not put nuts in it. It was either peanuts or almond bits, I'm not too sure. The vanilla syrup was a bit too strong. It kinda took over the whole drink. However, I do appreciate the creaminess of the milk and the good coffee aftertaste lingering in my mouth. read more

I was happy to see a book shelf full of board games that can keep you entertained while you are enjoying your delicious drink (I love board games) The savory menu includes sandwiches, and salads. The coffe shop also has a wide selection of refreshing drinks. To mention a few, seasonal drinks, classic coffee, creme Up variety of drinks, Matcha drinks, interesting and delicious world inspired drinks, decaffeinated coffee. In addition to fresh goodies from their bakery menu. I ordered the following; -The Mayan Spiced Mocha 5/5  espresso mixed with ground chocolate laced with fragrant spices such as cocoa liquor, real vanilla, almond and cinnamon I am in love with this drink. It has perfect balance of coffee and chocolate with silky texture. - The Biscoff 4.5/5 is a short vanilla latte made creamy with melted biscoff butter and topped with vanilla creme, cookie crumbles, and caramel drizzle, topped with a biscoff biscuit. The drink was refreshing and rich. -Hot The creme Brulatte 5/5 Espresso mixed with vanilla custard torched for a layer of sweet, caramelized crunch. One of my favorite drink! I loved the pleasant aroma, the perfect sweetness and the rich flavor. - strawberry Matcha Latte 3.5 /5 It was not my favorite. In addition to my previous review, I enjoy the Mayan spiced mocha (25% sweet is good for me) and the Creme Brulette! Both are great hot options. There are plenty of other drinks I'd love to try but they're only made cold, and in these winter months I prefer hot! Service is always great as usual. I really really love the coffee here Especially the Hawaiian. Why I'm rating it a 3 is because of the service. I'm not sure if the owner schedules the 2 staff members to start right when they open or the staff just doesn't prep the beans until they open? Either way this is the 2nd time in a row I've shown up at 8:30 (open at 8 on Sun) where I'm told it will take 10-15 mins because they are still prepping the espresso beans. Oh, this might need to be a new go-to spot for me. Kept hearing great things about this place on the Fullerton Loves Food Facebook group so I decided to stop by before my class. I ordered online and got a breakfast sandwich w/ spicy mayo and added avocado. I also got an iced matcha latte w/ almond milk and sugar-free vanilla syrup. First of all...this place doesn't charge extra for milk substitutions? WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?? Fellow lactose intolerance folks, rejoice! The only downfall is the parking. I drove around for a bit before having to park in the parking structure. Parking is free the first 30 minutes but you have to pay after, which sucks because I would definitely come here to hang out and study (maybe one day when the parking isn't too bad? It's located in a plaza surrounded by surgical and medical places, which explains the parking issue). Walked inside and it was SO cute. It was simple yet homey. I saw a bookshelf full of board games! The ladies in front of me were raving about this place so that told me all I needed to know, haha. I grabbed my online order and appreciated that the worker helping me put the ice and milk in it once I arrived. No melted ice in my drink! P.S., they use ceremonial matcha...as soon as I saw the color of the matcha, I knew it was gonna be good. Also the sandwich?? I couldn't even take a photo of it because I DEVOURED it. Food was pretty fairly priced, I feel like any other cafe would be charging double what they are. I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich and it came with some chips, my friends ordered the same thing, some of them were lightly toasted while others were panini pressed, I don't know why they were different or if we just had to ask for it. Lots of seating which I really enjoyed and a nice selection of board games. The only bad thing about this place is the parking because of all the things around this cafe, there is limited parking and a lot of it is reserved. read more

Visiting a cousin in SoCal, I was craving some Vietnamese coffee and stumbled across Coffee Up's Yelp page. We gathered in the car and drove on over. It's nestled between a few medical offices and a hospital. Feel free to park in the structure. This places validates. They had so many great sounding sammies and drinks. I settled on the Avo toast and Vietnamese coffee and my cousin had an iced chai latte and tuna croix. The Avo toast was amazing. Thick sliced bread that was lightly toasted on the outside and tender on the inside. A generous amount of seasoned avocado mash, cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinegar drizzled over red leaf lettuce. Absolutely delicious! If you want more protein, there's also the option of getting egg or bacon on top. The Vietnamese coffee was also legit. It had that punch of robusta beans flavored with condensed milk goodness. I also asked for oat milk instead of regular milk and everything over ice. The regular size was more than enough to fuel me for the day. My cousin enjoyed her tuna croix and said the chai was a bit milder than she likes...but she usually likes it with a bit of a bite. Lolz. I didn't care for the Spanish latte, which wasn't as rich and creamy as a Spanish latte should be. BUT, and it's a big one, the Pink Panther was good, and aesthetically beautiful to boot. I adored the pink foam and white chocolate beads they embellished the vanilla latte with. And I love how it's one of their "cups for a cause," where the proceeds of each purchase are donated to cancer research. First time here. Their blue lavender latte is super delicious. I like the blue cream on top. And it definitely tastes like lavender. I tried their tuna croissant and was surprised at how good it was. The tuna didn't taste fishy like other places where I've had it. They also give you a free pour over coffee bag for checking in on Yelp. :) The shop is big and clean, plenty of space to come work or study. Clean bathroom, which is always a plus. I tried the Vietnamese coffee here and it was not good. It did not taste like Vietnamese coffee at all. They're definitely using the wrong beans for it. Should use robusta beans and condensed milk but it just tasted like your normal coffee or latte mixed with regular milk. Would definitely not get again. Such a cute café spot! I was looking for a nice, small cafe that offered a somewhat more extensive menu than just your typical pastries and bread. Don't be fooled - Coffee Up is the perfect place for an afternoon lunch or date spot! I came with my boyfriend on a Saturday around 1-2pm. The parking can be a little difficult considering this cafe is located around a medical offices and most of the spots are limited specifically for them. I think the cafe actually offers validation for the parking lot across the street but only for an hour. If you don't mind walk a little, you can find ample street parking - just be sure to read the signs! Some of them are also limited to medical offices and might be more strict, especially on weekdays. Owners were super nice and welcoming. We ordered the Biscoff and the Lavender latte. I thought the Biscoff latte would be sweet but I'm so glad it wasn't so don't be afraid to order it, especially if you don't like sweet coffee! The lavender latte had the perfect amount of lavender and they even sprinkled on lavender leaves. We also ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad and a Spicy Chicken Avocado Sandwich - so bomb! We were also surprised that the portions were quite large and very much enjoyed our lunch here. They didn't skimp out on any of the chicken or avocado. Most of the folks that were there that day were there to study - I noticed they had ample outlets all around the cafe so definitely a great spot to study if you're looking for a place. Got my blood drawn next door and on my way in, I saw this coffee spot. Even though I made myself coffee (and it was sitting in my car waiting for me), I wanted to treat myself, so I did. When I walked in, I was greeted right away. There was no line but I didn't walk too far in and only saw the kiosk at first, so I ordered there. The kiosk was very easy/user friendly although I did make a poor choice when it came to hot/iced for cold creme on top. I selected "hot" as an option and it typically comes iced. Thankfully the person who was making my coffee wanted to check with me, and it clicked "duh" as I've only ever had cold cream (foam) in an iced drink. Anyway, I very much appreciated that. My order was for a latte with oatmilk, vanilla crème top, and cinnamon brown sugar syrup and a chocolate croissant- which she also asked if I wanted that heated. Everything was tasty and came out quick, especially considering she was alone and had a few other orders. Overall my experience was great. Coffee was excellent. The shop was quiet and not crazy busy. The person handling the orders was attentive and efficient. I felt like a human and not an order especially because I ordered via the kiosk. I told my husband about this place and now he wants to try it so we'll be back :) read more

I previously wrote a review for Coffee Up Roastery after receiving my DoorDash order with ice in my coffee, even though I specifically called the store and requested no ice. The owner reached out, apologized, and kindly gave me a small gift card to encourage me to come back. I'm so glad I did! This time, I tried the Hazelnut coffee, and let me tell you, it is hands down the best coffee I've had in my life. I honestly can't stop thinking about it. I also decided to try the walnut salad, and OMFG--it was amazing. It's now 10 PM, and I'm already craving it again. I have to say, Coffee Up Roastery has won me over. Parking can be quite difficult to find, especially on a weekday. Coffee: We ordered the Biscoff and the Blue Lavender. My gf and I were thinking they were gonna be super sweet but they were just perfect. Not sweet at all. The worker also recommended these drinks since we didn't want anything overly sweet. We preferred the Blue Lavender and love that it contributes to cancer research. Food: Chicken Caesar Salad - really sizable and delicious. I like the beans from this coffee shop and it's great that if you bring back the container you get 20% off. My complaint about this shop is the service. The young lady at the counter was rude, as if we were inconveniencing her by even being there. There was a group of mid/older people in front of me, about 5 of them, and the way she gave them attitude was disrespectful. The group was really nice and everyone in that cafe could just feel the vibe. But anyways, the reason I'm even leaving this review is that someone left a bad review 6 months ago that included a picture of the girl, complaining about the service. And a lot of the reviews complaining about the service describes a young lady. So clearly, the owners don't care about their employees performance or she is family and are willing to look over it. Customer service will make or break your business. Sorry, I didn't wake up on a Saturday on my day off to buy coffee and a side of attitude. I love the vibes in here. It's nice and ACed and well spaced so you're not elbow to elbow with anyone. I think that it's also good that there's cheaper options for food here compared to $14 avocado toasts in other shops in OC. The service is fast and you can find seats even during lunch time easily. My latte was coconut flavored and it tasted like Hawaii in a cup :) My mom got a black sesame cream on top of her iced latte and it was a perfect creaminess and texture. My brother got a mango smoothie that was a strong mango flavor and tastes fresh. The salad we ordered was a kale and avocado salad with chicken added and it was a good salad that has a creamy dressing. It is garlicky and has chopped carrots in it. It has a slight sesame taste too which was very good. However, the kale pieces were huge so every bite you had to open your mouth super wide. read more

I went in to pick up a regular coffee for my husband. There was a man ahead of me who had already been in there for 5 minutes, asking tons of questions about different options. Ok, they aren't responsible for his behavior, but 2 other "servers" came out, ignored me and had a nice chat with each other. Finally, after several more minutes, a server came over to me. I asked about a regular coffee. He pointed to where the "I can't make up my mind but I'm not losing my place in line" man kept asking questions. He went back to his conversation with the other employee. When the other customer moved on, so did the cashier. Finally, an employee came over and took my order. I asked where I pick it up and she said, "I'll get it." She stood there for a couple minutes and then started the coffee. Another employee put it on the counter and said it's ready. I waited at least 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee, which only needed to be poured. I won't be back. On the positive side, my husband said it was delicious. read more

Great experience and amazing staff - a must try if you have the chance. The atmosphere was super cute and they have a corner with Pokemon/anime related items. I ended up buying 2 Pokémon pins - an Eevee with a Leafeon poncho, and an Eevee with a Flareon poncho. The cafe inside was also very spacious and comfortable with padded seats and tables for people to come in and enjoy their space. We ordered 2 of the Biscoff lattes, a Spanish Latte, a Turkey Avocado sandwich, and a Spicy Chicken Avocado sandwich. First, the food: The Turkey Avocado sandwich was delicious and on toasted bread. They used wrapping paper and put it in this cute little box with a salad as a side. The salad had a raspberry vinaigrette dressing which was tasty and unique. I also wasn't overly full. The Spicy Chicken Avocado sandwich was like a pressed panini. Despite the name it wasn't very spicy, but had a very nice crispy texture. Had the choice between another salad and chips to go with it so we opted for the chips instead. The Coffee: The Biscoff lattes were very tasty and not overly sweet. They came with a signature Biscoff cookie that was sweeter than the lattes themselves. Despite the sweetness level the name of the latte makes the flavor pretty self explanatory. It was topped with caramel and cookie crumbs which made for a very attractive look. My only wish was that the coffee was slightly stronger, but I'm sure that could be simply remedied if you ask. The Spanish Latte we got as a hot beverage and wasn't as overwhelmingly cinnamon-flavored as I was expecting. I would say that it was slightly larger than a cortado and was refreshing to sip and enjoy on their patio. I'm not sure if they used condensed milk like a lot of other places do for similar drinks as the coffee in this one was a bit stronger. read more
