An important thing to note about this business is that they're brand new, so their hours appear to be in a state of flux. So if there's enough demand for them to be open later, I won't be surprised if their hours end up expanding. A great advantage to this place is that they serve Gelatiamo gelato, which is known for its rich flavors. They have a limited selection, but you can always count on them to satisfy a chocolate craving. It sure is nice to have another coffee shop on the hill! Great location. Update: Tried the panini. It's not revolutionary, but it's a filling, good sandwich. They're not skimpy with the ingredients, but not too excessive, either. I like that. And having tried other shops in the immediate area, I turned around and came right back here for my sandwiches. Easy decision! Update 2: As I suspected, they've expanded their hours! Now open until 8 on weekdays, for those of you wanting an after-work fix. And yes, from looking at the other reviews, the service does tend to be slow. I was so happy to see a cute little coffee shop move in to where a mostly empty cafe had previously been near my work. It is close enough to my work that I began frequenting it every day. Unfortunately, I've become more and more disappointed with each visit. We'll start with the paninis... which would be better described as toasted sandwiches with almost melted cheese. Ingredients are fine, but the way they prepare them isn't. It always ends up being a greasy mess. Next up coffee. My coffee is actually cheaper at Sbux. It is also better. I would pay more at a small coffee shop if the coffee tasted consistently the same and better than Sbux, but that's not the case here. I thought it might even out when they introduced a "check-in" machine to earn free coffees. That might help if the machine regularly worked, which it doesn't. Snacks! Yeah, they have a little stand, but beware - prices for those goodies aren't just high, they are outrageous. You'd pay less from a vending machine on Neptune. They get 3 stars instead of 2 because *most* of the staff are extremely friendly. The brunette cashier is not. She is just plain rude. We shouldn't get the dirty look when you charge us $3.56 for a 16oz americano. That price deserves to be questioned as much as your continued employment in the customer service realm. I'm holding out hope that this place improves, especially with how close it is to my work, but I'm not exactly holding my breath. read more

This place is REALLY close to where I work and really convenient to go to in the morning for that cup of joe. They offer breakfast sammiches, pastries, snacks, a variety of bottled drinks, and gelato to name a few. They're up to date with technology as you can sign in or check in and get points to work up to a free drink. The thing I really enjoy the most is that they serve Vivace coffee. I just put 3 stars because i went there 2 times and on the 2 times i couldn't have a bubble tea with bubbles... so first time i took the tea eithout, ok the tea was good and second time i took a mocha and it was good also... but if you put on the meni bubble teas please do them... if not just put it away of the menu. read more

I was very excited for a coffee shop in the immediate area and this is the perfect location. The coffee is good and when they are cooking paninnis it smells incredible. I chose though to only give it three stars due to their hours. They seriously run bankers hours there. If you want coffee on your way home from work your SOL buddy. More incredibly though they are closed on Sundays, which is precisely when the family wants to come down drink a bunch of coffee read news papers and have a bite to eat. The German Coffee shop up on 9th is a bit more generous with their hours and is an excellent alternative if you need/want coffee on a working-stiff sort of schedule. I tend to go here every day as it is convenient to where I work, but since they've opened, the prices have gone up and now are comparable to Starbucks. Also, was shocked to see that they had priced a Clif bar at $3.50. You can get a Clif bar at PCC for $1.59 and that is on the high end. I live down the street from this place so its the most convenient place for me to get coffee and food. The coffee is actually pretty decent, albeit slightly over priced. Nothing outrageously so for Seattle, though. They serve Victrola, which I love! Unfortunately their sandwiches and service leaves more to be desired.. much more. Their paninis used to be jam packed with fresh tasting ingredients, but my panini this weekend was essentially two pieces of bread and a piece of cheese. I paid 8 dollars for it to boot! Also, the service is generally dreadful. There is this lady who works there (possibly owns the place, not quite sure) but she barely speaks english and constantly rushes through the line. It feels like I'm at McDonalds not a coffee shop. And the guy who works there in the mornings can be just outright rude. The girl who works there though is always super friendly and accommodating. Nice people, dreadful service. The wait for food and coffee is so ridiculous, even when you call ahead. On multiple occasions, our order has been messed up or items forgotten completely. I love supporting a local business but without a reasonable cost, superior service, or something that makes it worthwhile, I almost feel obligated to withhold my business. Otherwise, I walk home feeling totally cheated of my money and my time, as it's painfully slow to get your order of mistakes. I live across the street so I've been here several times solely due to convenience. The owners are cold and distant, I'm not sure why they wouldn't try to engage in basic conversation when they've clearly helped me on numerous occasions. A simple "thank you" and a smile also goes a long way. Also their pastries are stale and their coffee is terrible.
