Extremely Disappointing Customer Service…read more We stopped at Huxdotter Coffee in North Bend on Friday and ordered a 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, a 16 oz Mango Smoothie, and a ham and cheese croissant through the drive-through. At the window, we received the croissant and the 16 oz PBJ Smoothie, but were handed a 12 oz Mango Smoothie. We immediately pointed out that the drink was the wrong size. Rather than simply acknowledging the mistake and correcting the order, the employee told us that the order had been entered as a 12 oz drink. We reiterated that we had specifically ordered a 16 oz Mango Smoothie. Instead of saying something as simple as, "I'm sorry, we'll remake that for you," we were told that she would have to refund the original charge and then charge us again for the 16 oz drink. Seriously? Apparently, Huxdotter has developed an innovative new approach to customer service: If we make a mistake, the customer gets to fix it. The mistake wasn't ours. We ordered a 16 oz drink, and the employee or the person taking the order entered it incorrectly. Yet instead of taking responsibility for the error and providing the customer service one would reasonably expect, we were essentially given a bureaucratic explanation of why correcting their mistake was going to require additional transactions. We were on our way to an appointment and didn't have time to wait around sorting out an issue that should have taken less than a minute to resolve. We simply said, "Never mind," and left. What is especially disappointing is that this wasn't about the cost of a smoothie. It was about how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen. Good businesses acknowledge them, apologize, and make them right. Telling the customer that they have to go through a refund and repurchase process because the business entered the order incorrectly is simply poor customer service. Unfortunately, this experience left such a bad impression that we won't be going back. There are plenty of coffee shops willing to treat their customers better.

My father still paid because he didn't want to cause a scene and hadn't informed me until we left. We had to toss the drinks unfortunately and visited another coffee shop. I reported it and heard nothing back this was about 2 months ago. Update: RVC claims I had not emailed them, and correction on my part it was over a month ago. I emailed the info@rvcoffee.com and the Puyallup location directly and told them to check their cameras. While I was a regular and know that the counters are "large" I also know when suspicious behavior occurs. I tried giving the barista the benefit of the doubt due to being a regular but given the way the owner just responded which was highly dismissive and minimized our experience, it just made it clear you guys don't actually care but want to save face. The website also doesn't give clear information on who to reach out to in regard to any customer experience but I did absolutely email you guys to 2 different emails and I did try calling the phone number but no call would go through to number attached to business.

They have a very young team of workers, which makes me think the owner is really looking to invest in the community by hiring local high school students. They are all super professional and attentive to the atmosphere and customers. Now to my FAVORITE PART! The food is AMAZING. I can only speak on the one thing I've been ordering but the Caprese sandwich is soooooo good. It comes with chips or a salad and it's the perfect lunch. I chose Kathy's special mocha, which was a white coffee with chocolate and caramel. It was delicious. Not too sweet, but very creamy. It didn't even taste like coffee, which makes me wonder what white coffee means. The little coffee shop also has a variety of other drinks some of them involving red bull or lotus energy. I liked the creativity, but I'd personally only come here for coffee and maybe a smoothie or one of their baked goods. They also have sandwiches. There was a daily special sign that said specialty drinks are 10% off, but I didn't see the sign until after I ordered and idk if my drink counted as a specialty drink or if I got the discount. Haha. Oh well. It felt good to support a local business even though drinks are half off at Starbucks every Friday in May. They weren't getting much other business while I was there even though the taco place was crowded with people. I felt a little bad.
