She does keep most things in a frigde or cooler so I popped my turnover in the airfrier and it was just right! My advice if you get cake is to let it come to room temp if you don't like the cakes frosting harder! Carmen is a gem and I also found out she is from monterrey and would spend a lot of time in McAllen where I frequent in Texas! You can tell she has all of love for the space and the goods she makes! I typically like to get 2 flavors of hard ice cream in a small ( 2 half scoops). The fact is that 2 full scoops is a lot of ice cream. The hard ice cream is NOT homemade but from Giffords. I tried 1 sample of a Smore's , it was fine. They refused to do it. Which is why I ended up with the twist. Very disappointing since I would have likely stopped by after work often. They have no outside or inside seating. So I will not be back and instead go to; Mr.Cone, Chicopee, Roger's Place, Chicopee, Elsie's, Ludlow (spectacular homemade ice cream) Cha's Ludlow, Flayvor's Hadley ( incredible homemade ice cream), McCrays South Hadley, (great ice cream), JB's East Longmeadow ( fabulous homemade ice cream) Rice Fruit Farm, Wilbraham ( terrific homemade ice cream) Fenway Golf, East Longmeadow, The Apple Place, East Longmeadow ( also great Home Baked Pastries). Going in, it's very reminiscent of a Herbalife shop. They are not affiliated with Herbalife though, which is very much appreciated. Their menu is also very similar to Herbalife, with energy teas and protein shakes. But it looks like they cut ties with the brand and are doing stuff on their own. The menu was a little strange, they offered holiday shakes on their menu but you couldn't order them. We got a red velvet shake and the girlfriend got a custom smoothie. I got a waffle, and she got an avocado toast. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Took pics and dug in. The waffle was good. A little dense and heavy on the stomach, but you want a breakfast to be hearty to last throughout the day. The red velvet shake was watery, the red velvet extract was a little hard on the pallet, had a good chocolate flavor but a strong chemically aftertaste. The shake needed substance and stabilizer. A frozen fruit like açaí berry or banana would help homogenize the mixture, and instead of red velvet extract use a chocolate powder with red food coloring. Also a little bit of thickener like xanthan gum (used in tiny amounts) to help with mouthfeel. The waffle is good as-is. The avocado toast needs salt to help the fruity notes pop and combat the richness of the avocado. Everything bagel seasoning comes to mind. The owner was a delight, very kind and helpful. Which is why I post ways to tweak what she makes to bring them to that next level. It's not bad shakes, from a nice owner. Worth a shot if you need a shake

We agreed to pay the flat fee for the truck to show up between 7 and 8 pm. They would keep track of the selections our guests made and then they would tally and I would pay the cost of the ice cream consumed at 8 pm. The calls started coming before 6:30 pm to both me and my sister (the event was her son's wedding). First the truck was lost and "could we go out and find him". This was a residential neighborhood on a lake. It was pretty obvious where the wedding was. One of my nephews saw him and flagged him down. Next came the barrage of calls asking why no one was getting ice cream. It was 6:30 pm, they were scheduled to be there from 7-8. My nephews offered to bring him some food, which they did. At 7 more calls again asking where the people were, we were in the middle of a thunderstorm and we had until 8. The first people went up to get ice cream and were charged. More phone calls saying I did understand that I had to pay for the ice cream and she had a recording and notes. I reminded her that I understood that and that they were supposed keep a tally which I would pay at the end of the hour, they were not supposed to charge our wedding guests. Now she starts asking me when we will be done as they had other commitments, this was at 7:30. I reminded them they were booked until 8. At 7:45 another round of calls and messages saying "they had served everyone" and wanted to be paid so they could leave. We did a last call and cashed out as I could not take any more of this. It completely ruined what was intended to be a special gesture for the bride and groom and the rest of us dealing with this nonsense. So great ice cream but would not use them again.
