But I don't think we've ever fallen as head-over-heels in love with one as we did when we set foot into the Russo Pastry Shop. It's one of the most visually stunning bakeries I've ever seen! Walking into the store reminded me of the moment in the Wizard of Oz movie when the images transform from black and white into color. That's because vibrant, bright, gorgeous colors are everywhere inside Russo's. An embarrassment of riches are everywhere in the form of cannolis, cookies, pastries, and cake slices, And if you want some savory treats to accompany your sweet treats, well... no worries because Russo has pizzas, calzones, grinders, frozen pastas, parmigianas, and soups. We picked up a gorgeous slice of White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, and it was so fantastic it's hard to put into words. We went into their freezer case and picked up two entrees -eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana. They were priced as a $16.99 BOGO deal. We had both last week, and the portions in the containers were easily splitable for the two of us. The chicken parm seemed to have more inside the container than the eggplant did, and we both thought it was better than the eggplant. In essence we ended up with four dinner portions for just $16.99. Do the math-that's a tremendous value. After you do the math, do yourself a favor and take a ride over to Russo's for a fantastic experience.

It's a craft kitchen small business that sells muffins, cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and other assorted bakery treats. Some of their more interesting offerings are Vanilla Bean Chai Cupcakes, Cadbury Egg Chocolate Cupcakes, PB Marshmallow Banana Cupcakes, and Italian Rainbow Cookie Cake. We picked up a Morning Glory Mini Loaf chock full of cinnamon, bananas, cranberries, oats, coconut, and pecans. It was dense, moist and delicious. He sleeps around in Springfield so his longtime girlfriend in Florida won't find out about it, which is bold behavior for someone who has clearly never met a mirror or any man taller than his 5'6 stature. He flirts by purchasing expensive gifts for any dummy who will accept them, has zero respect for marital status, and treats wedding rings like optional accessories. If confidence were cleanliness, this place might actually sparkle. Now let's talk cannolis. Calling them "disappointing" feels generous. They're small. They're limp. They lack structure, filling, and any sense of purpose--much like the owner's tiny cannoli in his pants. One bite and you're left wondering where the rest of it went and why you bothered. In summary: dirty shop, inflated ego, morally questionable vibes, and pastries that can't rise to the occasion, if ya know what mean. If you're craving drama, questionable hygiene, and an extremely underwhelming cannoli, La Fiorentina is your place.
