Finally a coffee shop open during quarantine! I came in and there was no one in the shop except two employees (made me feel safe during lockdown, honestly). I got good vibes from the shop- cute interior and very roomy for people to drink coffee and chill when it's safe to go out and have fun again! I loved their menu selection and got a hazelnut latte. Done in about 3 minutes. Tasted delicious and I love their concept of iced coffee cubes, keeps the coffee flavor instead of it being watered down! Staff was very friendly! Wonderful coffee selections and their waffles are delicious. My only complaint is they take way too long on to go orders. To go orders shouldn't have to wait over 30 minutes for their simple cup of coffee! That being said, great business and I recommend it. read more

Once we got there we realized it was a quick place where you order and pay. There were a couple small tables outside but didn't stay. I came here to get some work done before an event at Knott's just a week before the official lockdown. Good ol' Yelp led me to Coffee Code. I got a cold brew coffee and croissant, asked for the wi-fi, found a seat, and got to working right away. There weren't too many people there on a late afternoon and it was quiet enough to get some job done. Their cold brew was perfect. It had a nice aromatic taste and was smooth when drinking it. First time back here in a couple years and they've seemed to have remodeled the coffee shop! Looks great, it's hidden in the back of a small plaza. I ordered a strawberry iced latte which came with espresso ice cubes. I've never tried anything like it, tasted just right - not too sweet with a hint of strawberry. I don't know what other people are drinking to feel this place serves weak coffee, but I get soy latte and that shi keeps me awake. I love their coffee ice cubes, sure it's not as strong as espresso but cmon it doesn't make sense as business, you'll know that's totally unreasonable if you know how much beans are used in espresso, it sure keeps the coffee strong. I actually like to take my time drinking it since as ice melts drink gets stronger, no liquid goes to waste. I sometimes get 2 lattes when I'm extra tired I'd just chug one and be cracked out, then I put ice cubes in second one so second one keeps me cracked out. I wish they sell crumbl cookies, they go very well together. I could be wrong but they change the beans often for their espresso, it always have slightly different taste and I go here almost everyday. Also, if you're going to complain about price, just make it yourself at home, you can buy cheap espresso machine for cheap. The balance between espresso and chocolate was good, but overall just okay. I also tried some of the iced strawberry latte which was much better. It essentially tasted like strawberries and cream. I couldn't even tell there was espresso in there. Definitely would order this again (or even try the iced banana latte) next time. I really liked the addition of the coffee ice cubes...your drink wasn't watered down by the time you finished it. Staff were friendly and the lady taking your order was happy to give suggestions. Came here for the latte art, was not disappointed! The coffee was already really good, but having a swan drawn in with milk made it over the top. I can see why the baristas here got awards for their latte art. Other places would just draw a heart or a simply leaf. But a swan?? That definitely takes some talent and a steady hand. I also love that you can see Knott's from here. Seeing the Supreme Scream ride gave me a little adrenaline rush on top of the caffeine I was sipping. Definitely woke me up! read more

Unfortunately I have to update the review here to a place that used to be 5 stars We've been coming for over the past four years now and the service has been on a downtrend. The coffee itself is still good but not enough to continue coming back. My wife constantly orders the matcha latte and it used to be filled to the close to the brim and you have to hope the employee who makes it the right way is working to get it the way it's supposed to be and not an inch away from the top. The real issue however is the customer service. The past few times we've been coming here we've noticed the staff isn't as friendly as they used to be. On a previous occasion my wife ordered a large matcha latte with the cashier but we received a small one. When we asked about the size the barista (same guy who took the order) said "ok, we'll have to charge you the difference" but didn't apologize for not getting it right when he took the order or the inconvenience. And we can then see them glancing behind the counter at us after as if we did something wrong. (We're not the ones who handed out incorrect orders and failed to listen, buddy.) Today we ordered pastries with our drinks and asked for them both to be warmed up. When I got mine and took a bite out of it... Well I'm sure you guessed it, it was cold like the baristas personality . Thinking it would be a sanitation issue to have it warmed up after being bitten I was reluctant to ask them to warm it up but figured to at least let them know (as an entrepreneur, I value feedback and figured they would too) so I told the barista. Again, no apology was given. But rather a "you could've said something earlier" was given (even though, I had specifically asked for it to be warmed up in the first place)... The then half-eaten-cold-not-baked-in-house-pastry was warmed up and handed back with a lack of customer service or even a 'sorry about that'. The latte was decent, and the art was more sophisticated than the usual heart I get from most places. I was sad that they no longer served the sweet potato latte (01.08.18 was when I went). I came on Saturday in the early afternoon to check out this place. My friend had heard about this establishment from his friend so we had to go and give this place a look. We went up to the cashier and had them help us out with any recommendations. They suggested the latte and waffles so we ordered their coconut mocha latte, fruit waffle and as well as the waffle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. We found a seat and waited for our dishes to be made. When it had came out, it was beautifully presented to us. The aroma of the freshly made waffle and latte was well worth the wait. The latte had an image of a white swan made out of cream and the waffles looked absolutely stunning. It was something you would eat with your eyes. Very appealing to gaze at. The latte came out hot and tasted sweet with a hint of coconut flavor. It had a creamy and light texture. It complimented the waffles very well. The waffles had a crispy exterior and fluffy interior. It was drizzled with dark chocolate and sprinkled with powdered sugar. The fruits were freshly cut and the vanilla ice cream was delish. It was nothing extraordinary but a good first time experience. Milk is an ingredient that compliments coffee. Since Tres Leches is mainly milk base, I decided to give it a go. Man, there are times in life when your decisions are spot on. This was one of them. Love the flavors of the latte! The added peanuts as garnish gave it additional texture that made the experience more unique. They topped it off with the latte art that was a nice touch. I walk in and was greeted by the associate. Vanilla Lattes are my go-to, and he kindly and accurately took my order. After about 3 minutes, my coffee was ready. This is located in a small plaza next to the Chase Bank( parking lots don't connect!) and very close to Knott's Berry Farm. Parking is pretty small here, but I've never had trouble finding a spot. Due to corona, much of the space is unavailable, but you will find a couple seats socially distanced inside and outside. There are standard guidelines i.e. plexiglass, sanitizer when ordering in store. This is one of the few coffee shops that will use coffee ice cubes! No more watered down coffee! It'd be nice if all shops did it. I had the Cinnamon Latte, which was good, but nothing WOW about it. Gotta love latte art! Also had Strawberry Waffles, which were super good! Fluffy on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Cream, strawberries and sauce were excellent. If it's your first time, I'd recommend the iced drinks since they've stood out the most to me.
