I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I have gone to this Coffee Code for about 3 years now. The Buena Park location is the best Coffee Code branch around. They are always really nice and consistent. I order an iced Quad Latte and it always tastes great.Their food and pastries are also really good - I like the Pretzel Croissant. In addition, the prices are extremely reasonable compared to other shops (A Quad latte is $6 here and other places it's usually $8-10). Their wonderful workers, their great tasting coffee, and their prices make Coffee Code one of the best coffee shops. Lemi and the staff are amazing and genuinely make my mornings better. Rarely do I write a bad review, however, since I was directed to Yelp by one of the employees I'll be sure to leave one now that I'm here. I was on my way to Coffee Code and decided to call in my order for a coffee and tea. I asked if they served any ginger teas. The girl who answered said they didn't and as any customer would ask, I asked what kind of teas did they have. Her answer, "you can go on Yelp and look at our menu." At first I was thrown off, and I asked again and she repeated herself. I told her the reason I was asking is because I was looking to place an order not just a tea but a coffee as well. She then said, "it's because it'll take me too long for me to give you our types of teas." Wow! Couldn't believe it! I just didn't put my order in and pretty much lost my business. Not that it'll make a difference but employees like that give a bad name to small businesses that live on the support of their community. Such a cute coffee shop! I happened to be in the area grabbing lunch and noticed Coffee Code so decided to stop in. The interior and aesthetics of the shop were very clean and simple which I liked. We were greeted by the cashier who offered up a couple of suggestions and ultimately decided to go with the Iced Dememara Oat Latte ($6.00). I don't drink coffee often, but I really enjoyed this drink! The coffee was flavorful and bold, and I loved the little brown sugar bits at the bottom of my drink which added a great texture. The brown sugar bits don't dissolve initially in your drink so it added a fun crunch factor with every sip! As a note, there is minimal indoor seating available, as well as a decent amount of outdoor seating if you're looking for a chill place to study or hangout. read more

I've been coming here for over 7 years and I'd have to say this is one of my favorite places! Im not close to this area but whenever I am near by I make sure to always come around here! They have the best waffle desserts that comes with fruit and ice cream, let alone their coffee is great. The best thing about it is you don't have to worry about your coffee diluting down because they put coffee cubes in your drink! I always make sure to buy coffee for those at work! Love this spot for their unique espresso cubes and drink selections. I got the iced strawberry latte as usual. Was about to get oat milk but realized add-ons were $1.25... I was quite shocked but at the same time not surprised. Not when other places are doing the same. The drink itself was a bit lacking today, both on the strawberry and coffee flavor. I still enjoyed it but would prefer consistency. Loved the ambience and music. I would come back again to try another drink and maybe the food as well. read more

Really good espresso. It's on the fruitier, and brighter side of the espresso. Matches well with oat, if you like a cortado. I did get it in a Gibraltar glass one time. To which I think is the right size. But when I ordered it again, it was served in a small mug. About 6 oz? Which I think would be too much milk for my taste. But still delicious. Always friendly, and warm, their staff. They're very helpful, and ready to answer my questions. They seem to know their craft, and product. Staying across the way for New Years, I saw the Coffee Code and I was needing my daily caffeine fix so instead of hitting up the ever popular Starbucks my girl and I decided to try a new place, so glad we did. The service was welcoming, the young woman at the register was very nice. Didnt rush us at all, new place so I wanted to explore the menu a bit. I saw the Coconut Mocha so I had to try it being the cocomut fanatic that I am. It was very tasty and the espresso cubes were awesome. It was a nice change to not have my iced coffee get watered down. I had never had coffee cubes before and I really likes the flavor. The deink itself had a hint of coconut mixed perfectly with the mocha. Wish id taken a photo but honestly it didnt last that long. There's nothing like a quiet beautiful cafe on a Saturday morning. Coffee code's aesthetic, pastries, and coffee were so on point. Everything we ordered was delicious. Spanish Latte + Breakfast Napoleon (almond pastry) was soooo good. The pastry even had a little bit of custard inside. The Spanish latte is not as sweet as Urth's but really decadent still. Iced Demerara Oat Latte + Ham & Cheese Pastry. Also amazing. I think the pastry actually was the highlight of the experience. Staff was so nice, covid protocols are still in place too. I said that I would return and here I am! I ordered the strawberry latte thinking...it's probably going to be a very faint strawberry taste or just a gimmick like most places use. I should have known better given my last review. I took a sip....and was baffled.Then I took another sip and sat there thinking...HOW did they do that?!!! Espresso + Strawberry??? HOW??? I looked up yet another coffee shop in the area while I was just on my lunch break during class. I love how spacious and clean it looks inside the cafe. It took me just a few moments to choose something from the menu because everything just sounded so goood. My eyes caught the iced strawberry latte instantly so I had to get that plus an added shot. I also ordered an iced vanilla latte for a friend. While patiently waiting for my drinks, I was just watching behind the glass and I definitely enjoy how precise the barista was when making the coffee. I'm no expertise but I like when the time is being taken and all these coffee tools/utensils are being used. For some reason it makes me feel like it's made with love and is authentic haha. Not that Starbucks isn't good, but they're always bustin' out drinks like there's no tomorrow so def can't take your time with making the drinks. The added shot made it a little more bitter (not bitter but coffee-y you know? lol) so the strawberry flavor wasn't that sweet, but overall the drink was deeelish. My friend also enjoyed her vanilla latte and said it was really good! It was an in and out thing so I just got my drinks and left. I love the ambiance inside and I could definitely see myself just hanging out there and using my laptop to do some work. Seating is open and social distancing is enforced when standing in line to order your drinks. Come on by if you want that good cup of coffee from some caring baristas. read more

Their iced strawberry latte is one of their most popular drinks, so I ordered it thinking it would taste amazing but it was just okay so IMO it wasn't worth $5. However, their matcha latte was delicious so I definitely recommend this drink for matcha enthusiasts. I also ordered their strawberry cream waffle, which was tasty but the portions are a little bit small. The store itself is a little bit smaller and it can get loud so I don't recommend studying here during busier morning hours. Their customer service is great! read more

Location / It's in a tiny plaza with a few other stores. Parking is okay, I think you'll be able to manage to find a space. There is indoor and outdoor seating but not a lot. They have wifi and some charging outlets. Tables are quite small so I wouldn't recommend a study group of more than 2 cause 3 is really pushing it. The place is nice but kind of tight as it doesn't have a lot of tables and chairs to begin with. Drinks / I got the strawberry latte and this was recommended being one of their best sellers. I got it and it tasted not bad at all. It's something I'm not used to as you can't find this at other coffee shops, but it somehow works. It's sweet, but it helps balances out the bitter and strong coffee taste with it. I also like that the ice cubes are made out of coffee so you'll never have watered down coffee!! Love that they do this. Drinks are reasonably priced as any other coffee shop. Service / Fast and made our drinks quickly. They were really nice and recommended me drinks for my first time here! Overall, if I'm in the area I'll come here but I wouldn't drive miles for this place. It's a decent coffee shop that's great to study or catch up with friends. read more

Excellent coffee... and get this, the ice is espresso! If you let them melt, your coffee will become stronger. I am obsessed with the iced lattes, so I am still making my way through all the flavors. My favorite ones are hazelnut and vanilla (about $5), but there hasn't been a flavor that I don't like yet. You can also buy their coffee beans and grind them at home. And yes, they have decaf. Overall, great little coffee shop. Never had an issue with service... and I come a lot. read more

I truly tasted the best iced vanilla latte here and that's saying something for someone like me who's gotten lattes everywhere she's visited! We also got the affogato, which isn't a common find at cafes, but it was absolutely perfect. The coffees here have a great aroma and a perfect balance of bitter/sweet. When paired up with one of their beautifully made waffles, the afternoon snack is undeniably delicious. The waffles were made so quickly and I'm impressed that they taste so great! Seating is limited due to the people studying and working at the shop, but it's still a great place to grab a drink when on a run. I will definitely be returning when I am back in Buena Park. There are a lot of Korean based cafes in Buena Park, but I think Coffee Code and Stereoscope are definitely at the top for their coffees! read more

First off I just want to shout out Annie and Aaron, they are awesome employees and make me feel like I'm with my friends instead of some corporate entity. My experience was awesome, they were enthusiastic about their interest in the food they had for sale. This ended with me getting a Café con leche and a strawberry topped waffle. The drink came out quick but the waffle took a while due to an issue with the waffle maker. Aaron made sure to keep me informed the entire time and made up for the wait by making it even better than they normally are. Overall this place makes you feel comfortable, like you are in some cafe that's not in the middle of Buena Park. That being said I don't think it would feel the same without Aaron and Annie taking care of business. I don't know what they get paid but they deserve more because they really make this place welcoming. read more

I don't come to Buena Park often but when I do, I have to stop by Coffee Code for coffee! The cute little coffee ship has very delicious pastries and coffee. My favorite is the strawberry latte and 1 almond croissant that goes with the latte. It gets the job done every time. I wish coffee code is available in my area in the San Gabriel Valley, my life will be happier. LOL. Very friendly staff and fast service. Definitely recommend it! read more

I visited this cafe for the first time as a meetup spot to work on my wedding planning with my SIL. The staff were very friendly and helpful! I ordered the iced PB latte and it was like no other coffee I've tried before! Very delicious I would recommend:) the waffles looked and smelled amazing, I definitely want to go back and try them! As far as a work space it wasn't very large and every table inside was taken so we had to wait a bit. There also wasn't really a place for us to charge our laptop at least where we were seated. There is only one bathroom and the lock situation is a bit confusing. I would still definitely come back here but hoping they improve the setup since so many people were doing work or study there! read more
