Love that this coffee shop is all vegan and non-dairy milk is the default! They're seasonal drinks are great and can't go wrong with a dirty chai latter. I've also had the sweet and savory croissants and they're 10/10! Their staff is really sweet and the coffee shop is adorable. Tl:dr = With all the options for great coffee in Pasadena, skip this one and try another. It has great scenery, with that said, it was not a great experience. Firstly, the workers seemed to not be so friendly. They made it feel like them talking/gossiping was more important than me standing at register ready to order. Only reason I even came here was for the "puppuccino" which didn't come with a cookie bone like advertised on here, even though I paid $3 for it. After they gave me the cup of coconut cream I asked for a bone and they simply said "Sorry we're put of bones." Why did they charge me then? Least they could have done was offer a refund for it but again, not great customer service. They do not have any sugar free pumps, or stevia. She pointed to the counter on the side and all there was was cane sugar. For most maybe that's fine, but I like my coffee shop to have sugar free sweetners available. The lavender lemonade I could seriously drink daily! The aesthetic is beautiful with plants as well as drinks, there is a uniqueness with a, can I please get this too little bouquet at each table! It is calm with the myriad of plants and just enough floral to be very pretty with a cool slightly urban vibe The coconut muffin was outstanding! Terrible service!!! Drove out of our way to come try it out. Walked in 20min before closing to lights on and doors open and the curly dark haired girl refused to serve us saying they were closed!!! We paid for parking to waste our time. They clearly aren't putting customers first and the advertised hours can't be trusted. read more

My friend and I had a great time coming here. They even sell plants! I am a houseplant enthusiast, so I didn't need any more. The coffee and chocolate croissants were really yummy. Good coffee spot that's probably way better when itt's not covid. The drinks were great but the atmosphere of the shop and the instagrammableness of the drinks are probably much more appealing than the flavors of the drinks themselves. They had some pretty unique coffee drinks with gold, lavendar, and other flavors but they seemed a bit overpriced for a take out drink. Came to support the business during the hard time and try something new but can't wait to be able to sit down outside in the patio and hang out with friends. Parking really isn't great in the area, but there's a garage with one hour free near the apple store around the corner and metered street parking on side streets. This cute little coffee shop is seriously floral aesthetic goals! Enter through their floral archway and you're instantly greeted with cute plants that are placed throughout the shop. We ordered the charcoal gold latte and the superfood latte (both with oat milk). The charcoal latte was super delicious. Minor snag personally is that I wish I tasted the coffee more than the vanilla, but overall still would recommend. I've been to Old Town Pasadena countless times, but can't believe I've never tried this place. My boyfriend and I visited on Valentine's Day because we didn't have any plans, and I was not disappointed. Not only is their coffee shop super cute, but their lattes are unique, delicious, and most importantly, lactose friendly! Something about regular coffee creamer/milk always gives me stomach aches, but Coffee and Plants' drinks are made to perfection with almond or oat milk. The baristas were also super friendly and helpful! I like my coffees on the sweeter side and was suggested the vanilla latte and blue lavender latte. Both were amazing, but my fave was the vanilla latte. It's such a classic, but the oat milk adds a bit of a creamier, sweeter taste that was delicious! My new favorite coffee shop! I saw this place on Instagram and decided to try it because it looked so cute! They definitely have the aesthetics down. The place has lots of fresh flowers around, and they actually sell plants and other merch too. It's definitely a great place to take pictures, if you're into that. Everything here is vegan/plant based. They have almond or oat milk for the coffees and the pastries are all vegan. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. I had never tried oat milk before, but I still really liked the latte. They didn't have any pastries left (I went in the afternoon) so I'm excited to return and try some! The latte was $6, and while this is a little overpriced, I think it's the usual for trendy coffee shops like this. If you're drinking it once in a while, I think it's worth it. It's located in one of those small alleys in Old Town Pasadena. You can use the metered parking spots on the street or park in one of the public parking structures. Either way, it wasn't too hard to park and find the place! Overall, it was a really cute place. I suggest trying it once, and I do want to return at least one more time myself. read more

Wow, was I impressed! I have been hearing and seeing so much about this place. First, the location is awesome. Right in Hugus Alley. Parking can be found metered on the street, across the street paid lot, or one of the many other parking lots 2-3 blocks away (usually have 90 minutes free). Second, customer service was awesome. The lovely cashiers answered my questions and I was surprised to hear the entire menu is vegan. Many unique drinks on the menu such as the 24 ct latter which I must come back to try. I ordered the pumpkin latte since it's only there seasonally. It was delicious and the coconut whip was great! We also had a mushroom croissant that was quite tasty. Pricing is not bad considering everything on the menu is vegan (specialty). The store front and inside cutely decorated as you can see from my photos and videos. The outdoor seating area was nice with reasonably distanced tables. Masks required, and sanitizer provided. I went early so it was not too busy, I will definitely be back! read more

Now I'm giving this place a 3 for a couple reasons and I don't normally go this low. 1. The baristas attitude about getting a very quick picture by this flower wall (which is half the reason people go here). Look, I know so much changes from when I'm sitting down in your establishment without my mask eating, drinking and talking to now, when I stand up, all of a sudden there is COVID everywhere.. but give us a break, we didn't need to be hassled about that. 2. The coffee was just okay, I'm not saying it was horrible don't get me wrong, it just wasn't for me. I had a really funny and interesting experience at this place as I didn't know it was fully vegan and plant based. I walked in and ordered a vanilla latte and the barista asked me oat milk or almond milk. Not knowing it was plant based I said "just normal milk is fine". He responded "we are a plant based store" and then my friends hysterically laughed at me lol. Anyways, the coffee came out quickly and I sat down at the table with my coffee. The area was definitely trendy and niche for people who are advocates of sustainability. The one thing I didn't like was the coffee came out colder than expected. I was so excited to try this place! My husband and I are always looking for a new coffee shop to hit up before and after going to The Huntington Library. We came here on a whim looking for an afternoon pick-me-up. The decor is very cute and perfect for the 'gram. I loved the anesthetic with the pastels, the pinks, the greens. Seating is temporarily all outside (in the times of Covid). There are many choices on their menu. I didn't see their specials until I got to the cashier. I looked at their IG later and they did post them there. If you want the latest scoop before going, I recommend checking out their IG page. I got the Rose Bowl latte with almond milk and my husband got the chaggacino with almond milk. The Rose Bowl latte has beet juice in it, which I thought was really cool. It gives it a nice pink color, and you can't taste beets at all. The chaggacino tastes like a sweet treat. I'm glad the cashier had told my husband there was no espresso in the chaggacino... I guess thats how they profit on up charging the espresso shot... If you're looking for whole milk, I guess they don't offer that here. They offer almond or oat milk. I wish I had asked for an extra shot, because this drink didn't wake me up at all. In fact, I fell asleep on the ride home lol. It was pretty tho - - even if it was garnished with roses like the menu said it would be. While we were waiting for drinks, I looked at their plants and curious how much they charged. Yikes. Super expensive. Their Monstera adansonii is a hefty $59..but I bought mine at Lowes for $24 (more lush and came with a ceramic pot too). I get you have to make a profit, but man...i couldn't justify paying that much. There were also some cacti and succs for sale. There was a cactus for $23...i couldn't tell what kind it was (maybe Echinopsis of some kind). What was off-putting was the fact there were fake flowers glued on top. I've seen some big box stores do this, and it's def a taboo in plant world. If you're a plant enthusiast, you know you shouldn't be doing that..let alone selling them this way. Makes me wonder what level of interest they have in actual plants (or are you in the game to turn a profit?). My verdict - I probably wouldn't seek this place out again for coffee. I would come back to try their teas, however, bc I want to give this place a chance. read more

My new go-to coffee shop in quarantine -- and I don't even drink coffee! Cute decor and high quality drinks -- you're really getting the most bang for your buck. I met the owner, AC, when I first came here last month. I told him I wasn't really a coffee/espresso drinker, but I did want to try the 24K Latte, which totally lives up to the hype. AC suggested I try the Chagaccino on my next visit, and I've had too many to count ever since! Every now and then, when I'm feeling bold (aka tired), I'll ask for a shot of espresso in it. Yum! Also wanted to give Barista Sophie (sp?) a shoutout because she held down the fort all on her own this morning. I will say that we had issues finding the shop via Google Maps (it had us walk around the block) so save yourself the steps by just going to the end of the alley to the left of the major outdoor restaurant, Sage. I really hate to give a low review but this is for their young brunette barista working on Sunday, 3/10, at 10 am. As I had asked for creamer for my Americano and she replied "we are plant based coffee shop" and she did not offer any other type of creamer to me. And this conversation was happening as she was holding a carton of creamer . I did not ask for cow milk or goat milk. - It goes a long way to be helpful and not be a smart mouth. If you re unkind/unhelpful you are just going to have a bad day. When you are helpful/nice you are going to feel good about yourself. Just be kind- this was my first time in this cute coffee shop and it's unfortunate I had an unpleasant experience. However, if I come back I would ask for another barista to help me out. I would like to say that this cafe is the cutest little thing i've ever seen!! I love the aesthetic of it, from the flower walls to the plants around the store. The store sells plants (which are not very affordable haha) but the plants are sooo cute. They're all for sale around the store including some knick knacks as well. I have come here so many times! There was a time I was going every single weekend but since I moved further away I have gone less frequently. But let me tell you, the coffee/lattes here are AMAZING! Its an addiction and they have milk substitutions. Everyone is beyond friendly and they remember you when you go often which is so sweet!!! Everyone goes all dressed up and love to take pictures outside. So many people on cute girlfriend dates. Their outside and indoor decoration is beautiful and sooo cute!
