I use to love this place back in the old days! You really hiked up the prices and took your grouper off the menu? Really? Shame on you. I will go take myself next door to chili's then ! read more

Let us start by saying what a great jo our server Cara and the entire Cody's staff did. The evening started out at another establishment for diner. However, it was a nightmare. We went to the newly opened restaurant on Denton Ave and spent from 6 pm x 8:15 p.m. waiting for drinks and our meals of which never came. Our waitress was unbelievably lazy. Disastrous!!! We then decided to go to Cody's in Springhill. Cara was our server. We told her our ordeal. Cara assured us that she would see to our needs. Cara was able to get our drinks and food very quickly and made sure we did not want for anything. It was a fantastic dinner. The entire staff made the night an enjoyable evening, however Cara was the person who made us feel welcome and as if Cody's actually cared the fact, we had such a horrific experience earlier. Thank you again Cara. Cody's management, Cara is a very vital asset to your company!!!!! Thank you. read more

the service is absolutely immaculate I amm impressed with the staff and I will be coming back for some more they even gave me another drink when i wasnt even done with my first one and although my queso tasted a bit like burnt peanuts but every else was pretty good cause i couldnt even taste the red 40 in my food! I also never got my food but I know i it tastes amazing! read more

Our waitress was amazing! Super busy restaurant and everyone is still helping each other with everything to accommodate customers. We were just driving by and saw the sign. Glad we stopped in. read more

I didn't know of this small chain before hitting Florida's west coast; a friend suggested we go for lunch, and my happiness could not be abated! Yeast rolls! One of my favorite things! And they were served hot and plentifully by a server who understood and appreciated my passion for the pastries! In addition to that, I ordered the lunch special steak, which came with salad and a side, and was immediately cut in half and packed to take home as a second meal! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the garlic mashed potatoes made us swoon! Our server was smart and attentive without being overbearing, and although the place was not crowded, I felt the service was easygoing and conscientious. And when I go back, I want to dive into the gorgeous display of cakes and desserts in the front of the restaurant! Caution: If you have a peanut allergy, this is not the place for you, They serve buckets of peanuts everywhere, and you are encouraged to plop your shells on the floor! read more

Cody's Original Roadhouse - Spring Hill - Yes, yeast rolls! We love you too! - American Near Me - Spring Hill, Florida

My husband and myself absolutely love this place. 1st our waitress Joy is spot on, nice, friendly, stays on top of what you've order and keeps up with your beverages . Always checking back in to make sure you're comfortable and happy. Ask for her, you won't be disappointed! The cook on steaks are always perfect! And the rolls are the best around . Cinnamon butter to make you crave more. You've also got to try the cheesy shrimp appetizer and the onion rings. Whether you eat them all or bring them home, you will not be disappointed. Nice, comfortable atmosphere, with a laid back feel, or you can make it business if you'd like. Either way, you will love this place! read more

Good food, very good booze, fun and friendly atmosphere . The staff was great and the 2 for 1 fajitas (on Wednesdays) is great

Cody's is my home away from home! Their family is my family! So drinks are always made right and not weak! Food is always good and served hot and fast! Hope you all will try and keep a true local, family business successful! read more

Stopped here despite the negative reviews from other diners. We were seated right away and drinks followed quickly, but the food was uninspired, cold and bland. The servers were running around and no one seemed to know where or what they were supposed to be doing or where to go. The fajitas were bland, the pico was nothing but tomatoes and onion, and the onion was minimal, the lettuce and cheese was wet and bland. Girlfriend's burger was a charred piece of meat with a sliver of tomato and onion. The fries were cold and greasy. I regret stopping there when there was better choices in the area, but we wanted to support local businesses. A mistake that we will not make again next time we're in this area. read more

Not a bad place but not remarkable. Came here on a Friday night when we were here on vacation. Got a bunch of stuff. Most of it was pretty standard other than the cheesy garlic shrimp app which was really tasty. Not sure if this place is related to Texas Roadhouse but everything was eerily similar. read more

Robin was great. Awesome service. Ambiance is very familiar. Carrot cake so good. Blue cheese dressing delicious.

Food was delicious & reasonably priced & our server, Scott, was excellent!! It was clean but a bit noisy!!

Great early bird specials. Steak and pork chops are so delicious and you can't beat the never ending salad.

My wife and I ate at the cody's on hwy 19 near Hudson fl. on April 4. Robin was our waitress and was a pleasure to deal with. She was an excellent waitress, kind efficient, and very pleasant. She was attentive to every question and need we had. We will ask for her again if available and recommend her to our friends. read more

Just our luck! Visiting from Atlanta with my 2 sons and their friend and 3 neice and nephew. Yeah lots of kids and happend to be that mon and tues kids eat free. Place reminds me of Texas road house with peanut shell all over the floor. Also since it was kids eat free night they had 2 people walking around making balloon Animals for all the kids. Those 2 were awesome making our kids a mermaid, motorcycle, dog, turtle, bow and arrow, ray gun, helicopter and for my wife a flower bracelet. Our food came out and the portions are big. Good size steak, burger and salads. The bread and cinnamon butter are warm right out the oven. Everything was great the only thing was the steak needed more seasoning. our server Dominic did a good job refilling water and bringing everthing out on time. What kept them from getting 5 star was the food was good but not exdroinanary. 1 to 10 (10 is da best ) Food ....7 Price ..... 8 since kids eat free mon and tues Decor ... 7 Atmosphere ... 6 Service .... 7 Would i come back .... yes, the portions and the food is worth coming back read more

See all

I have no idea what happened to this restaurant but I am so thoroughly disgusted by the food. I had not had Cody's in about 3 years and my husband went and picked up takeout. I don't know what happened to the chicken that was supposed to have been marinated for 24 hours and the outside usually was nice and crisp but it was like they took it and they microwaved it. The sweet potato was burnt. My husband's chopped steak looked microwaved too. There are too many restaurants around for this place to make crappy food. read more

Cody's Original Roadhouse - Spring Hill - American Near Me - Spring Hill, Florida

This is our FIRST time and the Cody's in Spring Hill. From the moment we walked in, Joy made sure we felt welcome. Joy's attitude was so positive and upbeat, that after we had a bad day, she brightened it up with her smile and wonderful attitude. Joy was also very helpful with the menu and made sure we had every aspect of our order completed correctly. She was ON TOP OF EVERYTHING!!! Can Joy read minds, because she knew exactly what we wanted.... In today's world, we need more servers like JOY. Thank you guys.... read more

The three of us arrived at Cody's Original Roadhouse in Spring Hill after Kayaking all day. A little bit of a wait but enjoyed the delicious roasted peanuts and before the stated 25 minutes was up we had a table! Joy was our waitress and greeted us with a huge smile and welcomed us! What a lovely, friendly yet professional waitress Joy was! The restaurant was packed as it was St.Patrick's Day but that didn't affect the GREAT service Joy gave us. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us recommendations which were absolutely delicious. We were ready for those two for one drinks of Sangria and Cabernet Sauvignon after an exhausting day. Omg the onion rings here are the BEST we've had and were to die for !!!!! The salad was fresh and served table side. After eagerly consuming all the yummy salad, to our surprise Joy asked if we'd like more. The yeast rolls and cinnamon butter disappeared in an instant lol. We were certainly beginning to question if we'd have room for the entre lol. So here came the fabulous T-bone porterhouse steaks for three! Now I'm very fussy with my steaks as I love mine cooked black and blue and mooing which a lot of restaurants fail or refuse to do. We also had a 12 year old that is fussy about the temperature of his steak too. Joy made certain before leaving the table that all the steaks indeed were cooked to perfection just as ordered. Cody's nailed it and we were in Heaven! As we filled our bellies with love Joy dropped by to check on us numerous times to be sure our dinner was everything we expected, that indeed it was. Even as busy as it was the noise level was tolerable and everyone seemed very happy enjoying their dinners. Last but not least was the question of dessert. We really wanted some dessert but were pleasantly stuffed and no more room in the Inn. No worries, Joy says, next time , and graciously pack up our to go bag . We'll definitely be looking forward to returning and we'll be asking for Joy, she's the best! Thank you Joy for making our day extra special, you're a gem!!! read more

great service, Joy was amazing! food as always delicious! the atmosphere is great for all family gathering. Definitely recommend it.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! All the staff are incredible... Lisa, Mark, Theresa, and soOo many more that make the food in the back. The bar specials and 2-4-1's are worth coming to Cody's alone!! Keep up the good work! read more

Always a great meal here. Our server, a young man whose name escapes me at the moment, was very attentive even though they were extremely busy during the midweek happy hour. I ordered the smallest prime steak with a baked potato and a margarita. It was excellent. Rolls and salad are always good, too. I should have took pictures but I forgot this time. read more

Had to hit Spring Hill for business and this place was recommended by another establishment (they didn't serve beer or we'd have stayed). Went in and had a couple of beers and bowl of very salty french onion soup. Ordered some chicken Fajitas to go and they were well packed, generous in portion and all of the sides were also packed. Brought it back to my hotel and they were delicious. My server that night was Nicole and she did a great job! Went back the next night with my customers and we all ordered the Rib Eye, medium rare and the came out perfect. We all enjoyed our salads, the rolls with the cinnamon butter and our dinners. I forget the servers name as she wasn't very personable. However both nights I had the pleasure to meet Andy the GM. I have a son who is a GM for a restaurant in Boston and I also have years of experience in the industry, so I do tend to look at things with an experienced eye. I was very impressed with Andy. He remembered me from the evening before. He had us seated right away. He was very pleasant and is definitely on top of things. When I go back to the Spring Hill area to continue my business there, I will absolutely stop back in again. It's good spot to eat and have some ice cold beers. read more

Server brought us unsweetened ice tea that was still being brewed basically looked and tasted like mud water. 8oz top sirloin was like rubber, impossible to chew past the 2nd half of it. Couldn't finish it. Sauteed mushrooms tiny and had no seasoning whatsoever. This our second dissapointing visit in a row, not trying, and not trying for the strikeout. Done with this location, hopefully the Tarpon Springs location will be better. read more

We first ordered our drinks. I ordered a non-alcoholic strawberry piña colada. It was delicious! We both ordered the haddock. My husband grilled, I had mine fried. HUGE piece and very tasty for both. I also ordered the French onion soup. It came with broiled cheese and lots of onions. Can't wait to order it again. We had the dessert, blueberry cheesecake. We were so full we had to take that home. Our waitress, Deseree, was very attentive. And we had several others helping deliver our food., hot and delicious! Five star all the way. read more

Nah. Food is super bland. We had to season EVERYTHING. The salad dressing had a sour taste. Our server was cool. That's about it.

We don't go out much to eat and haven't been to Cody's Spring Hill location for a few years. Everything we ordered came out perfect and so delicious! JOY was our server and she was the best! So personable, pleasant and able to give attention to our needs even though she was super busy. Would definately stop by Cody's again and ask for JOY to make another great dining experience! read more

We stopped in to eat here and got Courtney R for our server and she was great! Very personable! Ordered the steak and chicken combo fajitas and they were very good. Good flavor. Great comfort food at good prices. The star of the show, however, was our server Brittany. She was fun, friendly, and always sought to our attentions in a timely manner we never waited or wanted for anything. Ask for her when you gk. I know we always will. We sat in thd bar and got a delicious bar burger with fries for $4.99. We also got chicken wings for 99 cents a piece. They were really plump and yummy. Best in town! Try to get there for happy hour, which ends at 7pm. Buy one get one on many drinks. The social atmosphere is lovely here. All the patrons are friendly and social. read more

The food was good and I've been back a few times and I've not had anything bad yet. The only negative is it gets very crowded and sometimes the hostess gets confused and seats people out of turn. But the food is worth the wait and would recommend this place read more
