Huge multiple tvs. Comfy chairs and plenty of seating. Drinks are a decent price from beer, liquor and wine. You not paying $10 a drink like the Wellington or anywhere else. Food is amazingly priced for what you get, looks gourmet. The owner is so kind and sweet and is always checking in on everyone and making sure their experience is a great one, makes you feel like family. Don't listen to the less than 5 star reviews those people don't come here/ or even live in the surrounding area like the loyal residents that live in the neighborhoods around here. If you can't be patient with service being slightly slow right now then go to McDonald's, this is an upcoming restaurant/ bar and are currently understaffed, and are doing an amazing job with the demand so far for only being open less than a month. If you have something negative take it some where else. We will continue to make this our spot during the week, lunch, dinner, weekends, HOA meetings etc. Thank you Dave for making this place possible in our community and always keeping the residents and customers in mind.

Tidal might have my favorite beers of any of them. I've become one of those IPA people over the years, and they're great with those, from West Coast to Hazy--but they're also solid with other styles, and seem to be particularly good with British styles, from ESBs to "mild" ales. The service there's always been fast and friendly, and I like the place's atmosphere in general: it's rarely too loud but it's still lively, making it good for both sitting down with a beer to do some writing and for chatting up people on the admittedly rare times I'm being chatty. While there's little food within walking distance--a problem with virtually any Florida suburb--there's a lot within short driving distance, and a taco truck recently set up semi-permanently in the parking lot. (I haven't had a chance to try them yet.)

Brewery #394 On our…read moreway back home from Tampa, I took an off the route a tad bit to stop at Tidal Brewing. Tidal Brewing isn't much on atmosphere, but they make up for it with a solid bunch of beers. Tidal is located in an old, somewhat rundown strip mall that is next to an abandoned gas station. Some of the parking places were the actual gas pumps or former gas pumps. The inside is fine with an assortment of board games, tables, booths and a bar. The beer is really good. I asked for a flight, but they don't have flight boards. You can get as many 5 oz pours as you want in pint glasses. The only issue here is carrying 6-pint glasses to your booth. No biggie. I was a big fan of their Horchata Porter, Turbid Waters (hazy IPA) and the Dunkelweissen. Pretty tasty. There is no food onsite but there was a Marco's pizza in the strip mall, some shady looking food truck around the corner, and a Latin restaurant next door. If I was just judging on the beer, 4 stars. The server was nice and if I was a local, I'd be a regular.

We hung out after and played corn hole, got some food from the food truck, which was good, and played pool and played cards while listening to great live music. They have an awesome outdoor space with all sorts of different games and seating areas. From corn hole to UNO cards, Jenga, backgammon, etc. Definitely something for everyone! Everyone, and I mean everyone at Southern Axe House are all great folks! Great axe coaching, taught us all to throw until we were sticking them in no time. The owners daughter even helped our son's girlfriend on another throwing lane showing her how to throw the axe and even got her a lighter axe to make it easier as she was having a difficult time. We dove down from Inverness and it was for sure worth the 40 minute trip. We will DEFINITELY be going back! It was a great out-of-the-ordinary thing to do. For sure some place to consider taking guests that come to visit. Definitely an experience If you're looking for something different to do and want to hang out with some amazing people, take your friend and family and go to the Southern Axe House, you'll be glad you did!!

However, it is nice that this is conveniently located just off of US 19. That said, this is a great, quick bar type atmosphere with good food. They have a onion appetizer that is similar to the blooming onion at Steakhouse's. It is fabulous. They also have drink specials like a rocket pop during specific holidays and are quite tasty. Conveniently located behind steak 'n Shake in the Publix plaza. Indoor seating is air-conditioned and they have booths, which are nice when you're with family wanting conversation. Outdoor area is shaded and has a TV in a breeze (wish they'd clean up the trash in the retention pond because it takes away from this experience). Still, the food, selection, quality, and drinks special shells have brought us back on occasion.
