I never felt pressured into doing anything. If I had questions he provided honest feedback. We did not build a very big pool it was actually on the small side but we never felt like we were being overlooked for bigger projects. We have had a great experience with Cody Pools. Our project manager, Jody, is always very honest and follows up to get any warranty items fixed immediately. We built a pool at the same time as everybody else decided to build a pool so we had some material challenges, but they were always communicated well and we love hanging out by our beautiful pool now. Cody did a decent job of our additional deck. Charles was our point of contact at the end of December last year when we initially discussed the job (Cody built our pool three years ago), we received the quote in January and accepted it, however the work was not completed until mid September. I personally found Charles to be a very poor communicator and quickly became frustrated with his lack of communication. Thankfully our Superintendent Travis who supervised the work, restored some of my original faith in Cody Pools. Travis is very hands on and is a good communicator, Cody need to hire more guys like him and less guys like Charles. Overall we have a great pool but it was very hard work getting to this point. It appears that Cody need to look closely at their customer service and limit the work that they take on, instead they over extend themselves and end up upsetting all their customers in the process with their constant delays. In the long run I believe that this will end up damaging their reputation. As stated previously we have a great pool, however if you do decide to use Cody Pools you better be prepared to be very involved in the construction process. read more

Cody Pools has been delayed. We signed in 2020 and our pool is still not done. They charged us premium for certain brands for deck coating but then they used some other company instead of the brand that we paid for whose workmanship was subpar. When we asked for it to be fixed they said we will not fix this. We are very disappointed and we have to be on top of their work or they put in the wrong color of stone, holes in our pool Gunite steps, etc. I just want this pool to be complete so we can be done with them. read more

My pool project had been ongoing since August of 2020. The last work which was done on the pool was in February and that work was to fix mistakes made by the terrible subcontractors that Cody uses. Currently this week we were supposed to see masonry work completed but instead all I got was excuses and missed deadlines again by the questionable contractors which Cody uses. I do not recommend this company at all. They have completed around 6 weeks worth of actual work over the course of the last 8 months. We had an in-ground pool designed and installed Jan - Aug 2022. The process was as painless as could be considering what is involved in pool installation. Kyle helped create the design that best fit our hopes and yard restrictions, Kurtis managed the project with regular visits and quickly answered any questions or concerns. When making such a large investment in your home cutting corners and going with the lowest price is not always the right thing. Definitely recommend Cody's to anyone ready to "jump in". read more

This was the second time we decided to use Cody Pools and we are now regretting our decision. We used the same Superintendent (Trey Pendleton) in both pool installations but we received very different results. Prior to our third to last payment (almost full payment) we were promised they would fix the divots in the pebble tech at the bottom of our pool and in the hot tub area, clean our wrought iron fence which they sprayed with sundeck material, clean up the concrete stains all over the stone around the pool edge/hot tub, replace the hot tub filter cover because it's already cracking (only 2 months old), fix the area where they messed up the concrete walkway and address the main waterfall spillover which is not functioning correctly. About ¼ of the spillway does not spill over correctly therefore you don't get the nice even waterfall spillover appearance. The first three months out of the last eight months, I attempted to have these issues addressed with my Superintended (Trey Pendleton) multiple times, at least 15 times or more. However, he always provided me with the same response "We will be out next week to fix all the issues" which that never happened and or he didn't respond at all for weeks at a time. I made one final attempt to contact my Superintendent about four months after they finished the pool and his response was "It's been a hectic couple of weeks trying to finish up some pools before the powers to be, shut down pool construction. We need to close out pools." I get it, they need to close out pools so they get paid if construction is shut down. It has taken them seven months to fix the majority of the issues addressed above and there is only one item which they still haven't addressed. The spillover from the hot tub to the pool is still not functioning properly and 1/2 of the spillway is not flowing over properly. They sent the stone contractor out to sand down that area and it helped a little but it's still not functioning properly. A second Superintendent (Hans) was assigned to address this issue because Trey Pendleton doesn't know how to respond back to his customers. Hans come out and examined the spillover and determined the flow of water and or return to the hot tub wasn't high enough. Which means, there isn't enough water flow or pressure going back to the hot tub allowing for enough water to flow over the spillway correctly. Two months have passed since Hans reviewed the last issue and still nothing has been done. I attempted to notify Hans and his boss (Daryl) via text message and they keep pawning it off to Try Pendleton to address. I contacted them (Hans and Daryl) one last time as of this past Monday (10/12/20) requesting an update and still nothing. Therefore, I informed them I will use the remaining $2,900 to have another pool company fix their mistake and if/what is left over I will pay them the remaining amount. Or, if it costs more than $2,900 to fix the issue, I will bill them for the difference. On top of that, what drove me over the edge is when I called Cody pools back on 8/21 they informed me my warranty is no longer valid. Keep in mind, this was ONLY six months after filling my pool with water. They indicated it's because I haven't paid the final payment of $2,900. Which is true only because they haven't addressed the final item with my pool. I refuse to make final payment until the work is complete. Trust me, DO NOT use Cody Pools unless you like poor quality of work and no response from your Superintendent. We felt like we were asking for the impossible but Kai made it happen. He was so patient and was willing to answer ALL of my questions. He came up with an absolutely perfect and beautiful design. Tom was our amazing project manager. He made sure Kai's design become a reality. I could not have asked for anyone better. Tom communicated with me every step of the way. They showed up when they said they would. If there was a delay, Tom would let me know. If I had a question, Tom was quick to respond. I'm grateful to have worked with both Kai and Tom. Chris at the Georgetown location really sealed the deal for us- very personable, helpful, thorough with details before we even decided, checked in on us throughout the process and very responsive any time we had a question. The process went pretty smoothly from start to finish. Our construction foreman, Jason, was also just as responsive. He kept us informed and came by to check in multiple times each week. We did not have the same experience shown in the pictures with trash and all. The construction teams where pretty clean and organized. We selected Cody pools not because they were the cheapest but because of the design and warranty we were promised. I filed some warranty items April 2019 and were told everything except our pentair issue would be handled by the construction foreman. To date we have never been contact by him or his mgmt as we have tried to escalate multiple times. I understand being busy but at least an acknowledgement and some timeline would be appreciated. We are now 24 months since contracting to build a pool and spa/hot tub with Cody Pools-Georgetown. Seems we have had a leak in our spa since the end of last summer and nobody could find it. Finally had to complain to just about "everyone" in Cody Pools, then on Apr 21st a new superintendent was assigned. Over three weeks have passed and we still have a spa with no water and are dealing with some of the same issues that we have endured over the last TWO YEARS. Ceasar with MMG told our new superintendent we would have workers out Saturday, May 14, to install the Pebble Tec, but after asking THREE different offices/people in Cody Pools, we found out Friday night that they would not show up on Saturday after all, but now would be coming on Tuesday, May 17. I've been trying to confirm if/when MMG will be coming on Tuesday, but as of 3pm Monday, it is still UNKNOWN. I called the number the Cody Pools Business Manager (KELLY C.) listed under my last post--FOUR MONTHS after it was written--but we seem to be in the same vicious circle as we have been in for two years. The superintendent doesn't know yet if/when workers will arrive tomorrow, because Ceasar/MMG hasn't told him, and when I asked if the superintendent would be here before work starts on our spa to ensure all the right colors/special additions would be on hand, I was told the request was submitted to Ceasar/MMG and that he might be able to show, but cannot stay. I only asked this afternoon, because the last two times spa work was scheduled, the previous superintendent didn't know what was supposed to be on hand and he never showed to ensure all was correct before the job was started or returned to see if it was finished correctly. We have had to be the "foreman" way too many times, so we always ask "when are they coming and will someone from CP be at the job before they start working". In the last three weeks, workers have dumped dirty water with cement pieces in it ON MY FENCE and ROCKS, left the gate open, and turned off a circuit breaker without telling us. With two years under our belt with Cody Pools Georgetown, we have learned it's important to be home when they are doing work on our pool/spa. Plus, we need to move all the furniture away from the work area, so it doesn't get splattered with cement or Pebble Tec product and ensure the gates are closed when they leave, among other things. Hopefully, we didn't clear our schedule AGAIN for tomorrow, only to find out MMG will not be showing up as planned. When we bought a new house and decided to add a pool to enjoy, we never thought it would still be under construction TWO YEARS later and unusable so much of the time. Very disappointing. read more

Our pool journey started last April (2022). We spoke with a few PB's but ultimately decided to go with Cody. I will admit they were not the cheapest but you know how that goes, when it comes to things like this you get to pick two of the following, Cheap, Fast, and Good. We opted for Fast and Good and that's exactly what we got! Our Cody Designer Amantha Swift was also a big reason we decided on Cody. She was extremely knowledgeable, not pushy(like the others were) and so accommodating when it came to making design adjustments to get OUR pool just right before starting the build. Our Supervisor Ryan Curbow was also amazing! (I swear we hit the jackpot with these two) Ryan kept us fully informed throughout the entire process. Answered all our calls or would send a quick message letting us know he'd call us right back( and always did!). We've read horror stories about PB's not communicating, or abandoning a build, or taking over a year to finish. I'm so glad we went with Cody. We broke ground on June 1 and we're swimming on Sept 22nd (and that's with a couple of heavy rain storms hitting Us as well) We are super pleased with the craftsmanship of it all, and the peace of mind the warranty brings. We know they will be there if and when we need them. So far so good and honestly, their pool school was really good! I'm a first time pool owner and maintaining it has been pretty easy thanks to Liam ( I didn't get his last name. Bottom line, you get what you pay for with things like this and we are so glad we didn't skimp as we would probably be still be without a pool, or even worse, have quality issues like leaks or equipment failures. Elizabeth (Liz) diagnosed my problem with my lights and did several follow ups with me to try to get a solution for my pool lights changing colors and not staying on one color like it used to do. I had talked to many people at Cody pools, looked on YouTube videos, talked to outside vendors, neighbors and much more for a year,off and on, to no avail. Then, like a miracle, Liz at Cody pools said I'm going to send out Dillion to take a look at your mother board on your pool and replace it. Dillion came out and did a superior job of not only replacing the board but making sure I had no other signs of any other problem with my pool. He was also great and for the first time in over a year, my pool lights stayed on the color I wanted night after night without me having to manually correct it every night. That one gesture saved me so much frustration and time that I just can't express my happiness enough. Cody had just finished our pool and could not be happier with the finished product. We interviewed several others who also had good reputations but were very happy with our decision. They were not the low price but did work with us to get it closer to our budget. Their was one hiccup on a change order but our salesman Kai went above and beyond to make it right. The salesman, supervisor of construction exceeded our expectations and would recommend them in a heartbeat. Our process started out very smoothly and went great with the designer, Peter. He listened to what we wanted, made several changes, and was always professional about it. Their estimate was also the most detailed and upfront about the inclusions and exclusions (we had 3 bids). Construction started and all the subcontractor crews that we encountered were great as well. Then everything went wrong. If you build with Cody Pools, specifically request that you do NOT have Mike Newman as the construction foreman. He does not communicate what is going on with delays and was very unprofessional. We ordered tile in April and we still do not have a complete pool as of June 18th. It's a shame because for the most part, I would've recommended Cody Pools. But the bad attitude, unprofessional manner, and lack of care towards the end of the job by this one person has totally soured this experience. This was supposed to be a very happy and exciting time, to finally get my dream swimming pool. However, it has been nothing short of a terrible experience. We are now in month 16 (yes 16) of this build. Quality of construction is very poor: Our coping was installed with cracks, chips and grout all over it. Pebble tech has many flaws to include areas of bare concrete. Pool equipment is not wired correctly. Construction is not done and they refuse to finish or refund money for incomplete work. Claimed that our contractor no longer works for the company. Sent warranty workers to look at our pool, who confirmed that our contractor is still with cody pools. Do not use cody pools. After a long search for quality pool builders, we contracted with the Georgetown Cody Pools location. Frank Rocks! The pool was designed as we worked with Frank at his computer. Pebble finish, in floor cleaning system, and a water feature. All added up to a high quality, low maintenance pool. Guess we could have gone cheap? But when your builder, realtors, and neighbors all make the same recommendation, there's a very good reason to go with Cody. read more

I have a pool Cody completed a little over a year ago. It's run very well but I had a couple of issues I thought required warranty attention but Derek Medack of Cody responded very quickly and addressed both issues over the phone. One was a start up and flow problem and the other was a chlorinator problem but turns out after Derek helped me troubleshoot the chlorinator worked fine and it was my error not running the pool on high speed for enough time. For example, I had it turned down to 1 hour a day high speed when it should be 6-7 hours because that's when water flows into the chlorinator. Derek proved to me that worked. He is very efficient and logical. Huge thank you to him. read more

Cody pools just completed my backyard. We started the process in January with Frank who was the designer. He listened intently and was able to capture our wishes completely. During the design process my husband who was battling cancer died. Both Tom and Frank kept things going and making sure that his dream was realized. I give a 5 star review is to Jaime Tirado. He has assisted us twice now. Once for pool school and once for a warranty repair. Both occasions he has shown up with a smile on his face and goes above and beyond with answering questions. He is a glimmer of hope for Cody Pools. The 3 star review is because of the customer service that Cody Pools offers. Our initial experience with Michael Synder was very professional. He answered and returned calls in a timely manner. Our super intendent was for the most part good but he went thru periods where he was not responsive to our questions or concerns. They build a nice pool. The problem is they are spread so thin and the tail wags the dog as far as their subs go. You will go weeks without progress on the pool. Cody Pools warns you of this and in fact you have to sign somehting acknowledging that you understand this. The problem is the subs show up in your backyard unannounced and without warning. I find this very unprofessional. I repeatedly asked for notice when a sub would show up and most of the time the answer was "we just don't know". The biggest reason I am only giving them 3 stars is because of the snail like pace that the warranty department has responded to a warranty issue. I started trying to get an issue resolved in the beginning of November. It was finally handled on the 30th of January. read more

Those who know me knows I don't complain about much of anything. My husband and I have been what we believe very patient during this process. Yet, we signed our contract at the end of March they lined everything out in our back yard around March 19th. They began digging April 22, 2019. There have been a few complaints from us along the way because of some lack of responses when asked questions, contractors not showing up in a week and days, and frustration of having to extend our loan completion dates three times. But, that's not the worst part. We get a call last week with the person who sold us the pool Chris which by the way was the only great process we have had during this still on going process! The super Cody ( which was good but can work on responding) and the one over him. I was informed they was all there because we complained about the horrible job that was done on our stone work, and the amount of time it is taking to complete the pool, and my husband wants a discount. Inspite of our concerns we was reminded of the balance we owe that should have been paid once plastering was done! Now, must I remind you, the items that have not been done should have been done in stages well before the plastering stage... No electrical sockets in which we paid for 2, no completions on concrete work, pillars are horrible, we are missing our heater slab, umbrella hole missing, tile cracked (which they will fix in the winder). This is frustrating because they are rushing a job that may not be a lot of money to them but definitely is an investment to my family. Not for leisure but for health because we are disabled veterans!... I had started recommending people at the beginning, yet I have now told my neighbors and some of my friends from the military to find someone else! We will not be using them for our dream home project, towards this part of the project we have felt like just a number not paying clients or good customers! And to mention job not done still, in which the guy over them had to let me know this job was suppose to be done by July 18 because they get 62 days? Plus rain days, now since technicality was spoken of it made me upset because they received plenty of rain comp days and its still not done. I can go on and on but I believe you get the picture. Therefore, we sincerely encourage you to look somewhere for a pool builder rather spending $60,00 or $100,00 a customer is a customer and its still a lot of money! Buyers beware!! The sales team with cody are excellent at putting your mind at ease but the builders are terrible, terrible, terrible. We started our project back in August 2020, seven months later and we are still wait on our pool to be finished. We have had problems at every stage of construction in the form of communications, professionalism of crews and quality of craftsmanship. Their project supervisors are more like coordinators. They do not supervise anything, they just schedule with the many subcontractors they use to build the pool. When trying to contact them for updates on the project they give excuse after excuse as to why they haven't made progress. When asked about the qualifications of the contractors they stated that the state does not require certified or licensed contractors to build the pool. The only professionals used is for the electrical and the plumbing where it connects to the house. My feeling on this subject is; I can have my neighbor work on my car. There is no law that says a mechanic needs to fix it, but I will not pay my neighbor the same thing I would pay a mechanic. For the price they charge for their pools I would expect that they would use professionals. Instead it seems like they use a lot of day workers so they can maximize their profits. We contracted with Cody Pools in 2013. The design was great, construction was fast (36 days from demo to full of water), and service was great. Most recently, a problem UV filter under warranty (extended by the vendor due to design defects) is being promptly replaced after my being coached by the service manager by phone to get my pool running temporarily without the UV filter. I can highly recommend Cody pools to anyone thinking about putting in a new pool/spa. I interviewed 4 companies, but Cody stood out head and shoulders above the others. Frank Vidaurri was our designer and I can't say enough about his knowledge and understanding of the business. Cody and particularly Frank was the only designer to bring us in on a Saturday and essentially design the space with your input and their software on the spot. It's so much better this way because you walk out knowing the exact cost and how it will look. Others will get your ideas go off and then in 2 weeks come back with a suggested design. The problem is you 'll find your going to make changes as you see it. Frank was even able to show it with our back house addition and bbq area that Cody ultimately did for us as well. You will not be disappointed in Frank! You need to ask for Frank! Cody's team is awesome, because during construction you get a personal manager overseeing the project. We had Tom Nauman. Tom was outstanding. Rock solid and works through any and all challenges. Cody does a great job working with the city inspectors which can be very difficult. Tom even helped us install the proper safety window alarms needed for the pool. Finally, upon completion Cody sent someone out to essentially teach us how to handle the pool. Dillon Dishman was fantastic and on several occasions after he left I would call with questions and Dillon always responded even on weekends to re explain things I just didn't retain the first go around. read more

After interviewing four pool companies, we chose to use Cody Pools for several reasons. Number one, they are a national pool company and will likely be around years from now if we have unforeseen problems with the pool, while these small local companies may not be in business. Secondly, our salesman Kai was very informative and drew up a plan that we were very happy with. Thirdly, and most importantly, Tom Nauman was absolutely wonderful to work with as the pool construction superintendent. We gave him a date when our daughter and grandchildren would be in town and he finished the project in time for their visit, even though it meant having crews of 12 here on occasion, and many times tradesmen were working until 8:00 pm to get it accomplished. He was always available by phone or text and here every morning to talk to the workers for that day so they knew exactly what was expected of them. We couldn't have been more pleased with him.
