The al pastor is also good but the tripa is crunchy and perfect with a ton of hot sauce.

There are no fancy contracts, no drama, and no surprises--just a handshake, a date, and a headcount. I tell Wayne when we're eating and how many mouths we need to feed, and he shows up on time, fully prepared, and ready to deliver. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means everything when you're feeding a large group. The food is consistently excellent, the service is smooth, and the whole operation reflects pride, experience, and family values. You can tell this is a family-owned business that genuinely cares about doing things right. When you find people you can trust completely, you stick with them--and that's exactly why we'll continue to use It's in the Sauce for future reunions. Highly recommended without hesitation.

Very average BBQ…read more.. I'm a self-admitted BBQ purist, impartial to NC BBQ, but have also had some of the best BBQ in TX (Terry Blacks, Goldees, and Franklin), and this is simply not TX BBQ. The restaurant is situated off the beaten path in the business district, but it's impossible to miss with the huge smoker sitting out front. It's a small restaurant with just a few tables and the ordering situation is a bit wonky (just one small window to order and pickup from). The staff was ultra-friendly and the food came out quick. As for the food, it was just okay... The BBQ itself wasn't bad, but it was definitely precut and kept in warmers (this would give a pit master down in TX a myocardial infarction as this is a huge "no no"); the sides were actually really good though. The total was about $30 for lunch, which to me was a bit high based on the quality of the BBQ. Overall... Not bad, not great, but not certainly TX BBQ.

I waited all my food truck life for this moment…read more.. I attended the Camarillo Ranch, Food Truck Event today. First day they had this since, COVID. The event was great. A lot of people! What was the problem? This food truck had about five people in line. All the other trucks had +20 in line. I thought I scored because, there was no line. Seriously, I was waiting for this precious foodie moment... The food was gross! Steak was like dinosaur meat thick and with fat. That baby THICK!!! I couldn't even chew it. I went to the shrimp and it was not made with love. The shrimp was over seasoned and it had the same seasoning as the rice! The veggies had no flavor and were thin and no flavor. I guess, I couldn't tell because I still had that yucky seasoning in my mouth. A true disappointment. Ya'll save your $30 and try another truck!

Such a great idea to have hibachi on a food truck!…read more Hands down food is always fire. Chef Palmer and his team do a wonderful job. I will say if you asked me to review this last year , I would of dropped the stars. There was 2 incidents I was not happy with, 1 was when the food truck was at the brewery. During this time, we had a female worker take our order, not sure if she was a gf of the chef at the time (from what transpired) or a worker. She was nice, no issue at all from her assisting us but we went inside the brewery to come back out 30 minutes later expecting our food to be close to being ready and the truck was closing up and ready to drive off. We had asked the cook, not sure of his name. He was very nice but we were disappointed, he had told us "he didn't have our order and wasn't aware we even placed one and asked for a receipt and who took our order." We explained what happened, and we could hear him and the female employee have a small disagreement about the order. We were refunded and were told it was a miscommunication. We were pretty upset at this point and chose not to come back for a while, we came back again 1 more time and again, had issues with service and food was not how it usually was. I will be honest, we took a few months of a break from visiting. Fast forward to now and recently since then (previous comment) we now come at least once or twice a month. It is our go to spot when we want a night of hibachi but don't get home till late from our sons soccer activities. The food truck being open late is perfect for those nights. Each and every time food has made up for the incident last year and has always been BOMB. The variety of the menu has expanded since it has opened, each and every item has been great. Our go to favorites are the steak and lobster combo plate, garlic noodles and the hibachi burrito or fries. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. We have been coming since the food truck first started and have loved to watch it grow and will continue to support these local 805 businesses who definitely deserve it. Highly recommended, if you see this food truck and the line is long ,I promise you it is worth it!
