Just gave this place a second chance since was on my way home! I regret it, WARNING ‼ This place is not sanitary at all! tables area strong smell to Urine and feces, I got food poison and I did had the feeling when eating, I got a steak burrito there was no meat in it just a few little pieces the rice was nasty was mushy definitely they won't pass an inspection if city of Oxnard do their job, they need to clean that place there's no way you are running a food business where homeless people poo WARINIG!!‼

Really enjoyed my second visit here for lunch on a weekday. It's easy to get to from the Navy base and parking is not an issue with plenty of street parking available. The tacos are amazing and the options at the salsa bar ranks this place very high on my to-go list for tacos. The service is good and they do take credit card for a small fee. The outdoor patio is partially covered so you get a nice breeze and natural sunlight. Im glad this place is still open and hasn't had super long lines or wait times for food.

Wasted $40 dollars for BAD tacos , used to be my favorite spot but I am never going back after this. They fill your tacos with just fat and the tortillas and filled with grease

Tacos La Bonita is are great most of the time. 3 because the pico, lemons and other toppings looked super old . Not fresh. Kinda of sad about it. Service is ok. They often get broken into they said, so not soap as it's stolen. I like washing my hands before eating so thankfully they do provide soap. Just ask! Across the plaza in Oxnard. There were plenty of people grabbing food to go. Also did not like seeing the cashier checking people out and then helping prep food for clients without changing gloves. I still like their tacos so hard to break up. Hoping this review will be seen and things will change. Our community loves you, La Bonita.

I usually don't leave reviews but this place is bad 1. The lady taking the orders is rude 2. Food is overpriced and don't even taste good 3. The Agua de Pepino doesn't even have pepino 4. Employees holding dogs while being in the kitchen and the patio smelled like wet dog couldn't finish my food

We wanted birria tacos, but Francisco's was closed. We decided to try the quesobirria and the TexMex from Tacos La Bonita. Both were very good! The food truck now has a permanent location, and the outdoor space is lovely, with ample seating.

The tacos here are great, but they can be hit or miss. The chile relleno taco is my go-to taco from here, a must try! Whewww 10s across the board for that one, it's the taco that keeps me coming back to La Bonita tbh. I've tried the pastor and carne asada tacos too. The carne asada here is good, nice and smoky. The pastor here is just okay to me. Again it's hit or miss, I've had it when it tastes great and I've also had it when it tastes not so great. Depending on how busy it is or how well staffed it is, the food quality varies. I feel like more often than not the food is outstanding, but I've also felt underwhelmed by the food if they're having an off day. La Bonita can be pretty fire, I just wish they were more consistent.

A friend of mine arranged a taco crawl in Oxnard. This was one of the stops. First of all this place is super cute. It looks like a little stand, but the kitchen is indoors. All of the seating is outdoors, some of it shaded. There is also a really nice salsa bar. I ordered a quesabirria taco. It was crispy and had lots of meat. They give chips and grilled veggies with it. It probably would have been extra good had I ordered consome. I want to return and try it again. Recommend.

Food was great, love coming here every weekend. But the price changes every time when I order from the food truck on ventura rd. Last week it was $16.29 today they charge me $18.48.

If I could give them 10 Stars I would!! How come no one told me they make they're own tortillas ? I would've visited this place a long time ago! I ordered three carne asada tacos with onions, cilantro, and cheese. And boy oh boy these were some of the best tacos I have had! And on a fresh tortilla! Delish! The meat was flavorful and tender. Parking can be a bit challenging downtown. But you can park behind the restaurant in a small lot.

Prices are a bit less, ranging from $19 for Teppan Chicken with rice or a Yaki Soba (noodles) Chicken. We shared their pricier (but very delicious) Takumi Combo at $29 with choice of 2: (real filet mignon, chicken, Korean BBQ, shrimp, scallops, salmon) with fresh Teppan vegetables and rice. The order was big enough to share with two of us. Takumi only opens late afternoon until 10 pm. You can also order ahead of time via meal delivery apps like GrubHub. We highly suggest going since there are no Teppan restaurants in the immediate Oxnard or Port Hueneme area, and this food truck is surprisingly very authentic... minus the theatrical antics of a Benihana Teppan chef (which I can do without).

We also ordered delivery from their 5th St. location and the food was still hot when it arrived (we are in Ventura). You get lots of food and each item we've tried is delicious. Definitely on our rotation when we get that craving for steak or seafood.

Very average BBQ…read more.. I'm a self-admitted BBQ purist, impartial to NC BBQ, but have also had some of the best BBQ in TX (Terry Blacks, Goldees, and Franklin), and this is simply not TX BBQ. The restaurant is situated off the beaten path in the business district, but it's impossible to miss with the huge smoker sitting out front. It's a small restaurant with just a few tables and the ordering situation is a bit wonky (just one small window to order and pickup from). The staff was ultra-friendly and the food came out quick. As for the food, it was just okay... The BBQ itself wasn't bad, but it was definitely precut and kept in warmers (this would give a pit master down in TX a myocardial infarction as this is a huge "no no"); the sides were actually really good though. The total was about $30 for lunch, which to me was a bit high based on the quality of the BBQ. Overall... Not bad, not great, but not certainly TX BBQ.

This bright blue food truck has always caught my eye and I finally made it in for lunch. Being a food truck, the vibes are super casual and laid back. You place your order, then grab a seat at one of their picnic benches and soak up the sunshine. The staff were incredibly nice, and the sweet little touches like the handwritten note on the to go bag were just too cute. We love those kinds of vibes! Here's what I got: Single Smash Burger: A solid and delicious smash burger! The bun was pillowy soft, the patty had a nice crust, and I'm always a sucker for cheese, thin sliced lettuce, and a thousand island style sauce on a burger. No frills, just super satisfying and done right. Cosmo Fries: Honestly my favorite bite of the day! Loaded fries topped with cheese, onions, burger patty, and their pink sauce...absolutely insane. SO good. I loved the skinny fries they use, and since everything was made fresh to order, the fries stayed extra crispy even with all the toppings. My biggest regret is passing by this food truck for so long without stopping. That was genuinely a stellar smash burger and fries combo, with the added bonus of such friendly and welcoming staff. Next time you're walking around Downtown Ventura and want a casual outdoor bite, definitely make a stop at Cosmos Smash Burgers. (Located at the Channel Islands Juice Co. parking lot just fyi).
