Cocoa Beach Ale House 5590 N. Atlantic Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL 32931 2 Stars While my reputation, for good or ill, often precedes me at this stage of my life, no one can ever say I don't at least care for my fellow human. Otherwise, why would I venture forth unto Tourist Trap Haven, aka Cocoa Beach, once again? I feel like a broken record bashing food in Cocoa Beach, however, it is what it is and I call it like it is. Once again I am being served Grade A Slop with a great vibe, but I get ahead of myself. Shannon is our server/bartender. She is outstanding in every way a server can and should be. Shannon was the lone bright star in this sea of food misery. Thank you, Shannon! I put in an order for a Big Bleu Burger and some Coconut Shrimp. If you look at the pics you will notice this place has loads of TVs and an extremely happy vibe. It seems like a great place to knock back a few of your favorite adult beverages while taking in a game or three. Shannon soon returned with our fare, and after taking a few snapshots of the slop served, I got to work. This went downhill fast. The Big Blue Burger is your basic low-level fast-food patty served along with frozen chips. There is no way to disguise that bottom-of-the-barrel burger taste. It is distinct and disgusting. Moving on to the Coconut Shrimp. Again, this was your lowest-level frozen shrimp with a, no doubt, per-packaged frozen warm-in-bag type sauce. Honestly, I can get better-tasting frozen crap in the frozen seafood section at Publix. Overall, this food is not terrible. It is not swill alert-worthy, but it is thoughtless, brainless fresh-from-frozen food. In fact, it's reminiscent of the slop at Sandbar and Cocoa Seafood. I even asked Shannon if it was the same owner(s) (it's not). I can only surmise that this place was some sort of appanage to the owner, and they are running it blindly, only thinking of the bottom line, not the quality of the foodstuff. As I said, I'm sure it's a fun place to have a few while taking in a game with your buds, but... The Big Boy says, "The food is an easy skip."

    This is my burgers bread

There was only one waitress and we barely got our order started after a 20 minute wait. Our food took 2 HOURS to get done and it was burnt. The place is full of smoke from the kitchen and smells like smoke and burnt food. WOULD NOT recommend if you are trying to have a one hour lunch.

Was something like a three from me, they're okay, alright ...was in for a few drinks is all. Bartender was friendly and nice. Prices were reasonable enough; no drink specials. There were a few misgivings not really worth mentioning. People seemed happy around me except for the miscreants getting arrested in the parking lot. Free entertainment! lol.

Stopped in for a quick bite...well not so quick. The service was kind of slow but the meal was pretty ok and did the job filling me up. There wasn't too many workers so the place kind of looked a bit dingy. I would eat here over a fast food spot.

    super cute!!

If you're reading this, get ready to have a little Church, because I'm about to stand up and Testify! About the heavenly experience bestowed upon me at the Cocoa Beach Ale House. Verily, I say unto you, this place ain't your run-of-the-mill watering hole, but a beacon of dining delight. Let me start with a praise report for the excellent service from Jodi. She didn't just take some orders and ask if we needed refills...Jodi ministered to our table with the grace and efficiency of the Apostle Paul on his missionary journeys! Now, let me preach a sermon on the meal: The fries, were as real as the burning bush to Moses. Not that crinkle-cut blasphemy! True and golden, crowned with chunks of buffalo chicken tenders. I ain't talking about strips or frozen McNugget pieces, but actual Buffalo Tenders. With that Holy anointing of flavor and spice. And lo, the bleu cheese dressing- proper and fresh. This ain't a plastic cap of Hidden Valley or Ken's, Y'all! This restaurant doesn't believe in cutting corners, no matter how big or small the turn is. Cocoa Beach Ale House deserves 5 stars and a Testimony Service! For in this age fast food, and even quicker disappointment, Cocoa Beach Ale House will have you jumping the pews and shouting Glory. Rejoice in your meals as Daniel did in the lion's den, for here you will find no danger, only delight. And remember, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Corinthians 10:31). Amen, and pass the buffalo fries.

took forever to get our food and someone "stole my chicken tenders" - the waiter. So it took even longer (2HR) and it was a nice atmosphere.

The ambiance is that of every other bar, which in itself isn't bad but it is when you don't do anything to really stand out. I ordered the southern burger and their special of deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were really good but only 6 half eggs was $12. Way overpriced in my opinion. The burger looked really good but for $22 for the burger and the fries, it better be top notch. Burger came out over done, with the entire bottom bun completely soaked in juice. It basically fell apart by the end of the meal. I will say the fries were really good but for $45 with a tip FOR ONE PERSON this place is way over priced for what you get. I also thought my service was just okay as well. Wouldn't recommend this place and won't be back.

They had the traditional Irish fare. My friend ordered the Ruben sandwich with sweet potato fries. She commented on how much corned beef in the Sandwich and how delicious the fries were. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. Only $20.00. I received at least a half pound of very lean corned beef, red potatoes, carrots and steamed cabbage. A very generous serving. The corned beef was really lean , moist, tender, and very flavorful. What a great meal. They had traditional Irish music. Great atmosphere for the holiday. We had a great time.

You absolutely cannot beat the view, right on the water (and occasionally you can catch a glimpse of the SpaceX rocket boosters coming back after recovery!) Service was a little slow - there were not many people dining (mid-afternoon) but it looked like they were preparing for some special political event). We sent one incorrect drink back and ended up not getting one person's order at first (the restaurant did make it right). Hubs had the fried fish - it was ok. I had coconut shrimp which were quite good but the coconut cilantro lime rice that came with it (which sounded delicious!) was dry to the point of being crunchy. The mango salsa was good. We ordered mac and cheese, fried shrimp and chicken nuggets for one granddaughter not realizing they ALL came with an order of fries - beware! The Mac and cheese looked like it came from "the box" - I tried it and it was not great. Fried shrimp were good. We also had the Mac attack burger and it was good. All in all, I'd probably come back for fun drinks, maybe an appetizer and the view, but not for a meal.

Dani was taking care of us at 1st, but there was a shift change,& then Gia took over. She took really good care of us(party of 3)! I ordered the blackened shrimp & grits,& we also got the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. The mozzarella sticks were really good & had that nice cheese pull, although they were a little thin. The food took a little while to come out, but everything was fresh & piping hot when it arrived. Now, the coleslaw deserves its own shoutout! You can get a side of coleslaw for only 11¢ per party. When we arrived, we did notice the outside could use a little TLC, but once inside, it was very clean and tidy. We were immediately greeted by both the hostess and bartender, and they were very friendly. We were seated right away and our drink orders were taken quickly. It took us a few minutes to go through the menu since we weren't familiar with the restaurant, and there are quite a few items to choose from. We ordered the "Crack Mac Snack" (macaroni and cheese) and added pulled pork and the biscuit bread. The food came out quickly, and we were not disappointed. The biscuit bread was absolutely amazing, rich, soft, and delicious (maybe a little too generous with the butter on top, but still delicious). It's a thick, hearty piece, about two inches high and roughly four inches square. The mac and cheese was a generous portion and easily enough to share, and it was really good. The homemade BBQ sauce was also a highlight. The only slight miss was my husband's Coke, which wasn't very sweet, possibly a calibration issue with the machine. Overall, this is definitely a spot worth trying if you're in Cocoa Beach and want something different. There's a lot on the menu, and we'll definitely be back.
