For our meals, my husband and I both chose the pork platters. Our sides were green beans and mac and cheese, and baked beans and potato salad. We each chose cornbread muffins. Everything was very mediocre and lacked in flavor. I'm not sure that anything had seasoning on it. The price was fair and you get a decent amount of food. The food is incredible! I am a bit picky when it comes to eating out.. i know how to cook extremely well. Best barbecue ive ever had to be honest and that is saying alot. The bun never went soggy, the meat barely had any fat on it and was just perfect. The sauces were good especially to mix. I will say my sides left alot to be desired, room temp mac and cheese that was flavorless so i did not eat it and my significant other garbage disposal when it comes to food did not either. His sides were good though! The baked potato was great and i think they might make their sour cream fresh because it just tasted different. Would go again in a heart beat! Awesome job! It was a chilly night so we went through the patio to the inside seating. We got a booth near the door and the TV playing the football game we wanted to watch. Our server was fantastic. She knew the menu well and what were the favorites of herself and other patrons. Given the many options, her suggestions were helpful. She was attentive to us but did not rush us. I chose the pulled pork entree. My sides were cole slaw and baked beans which were perfect sides for the pork. Everything was good. The pork could have been a bit hotter in temp but it was tasty. I liked that I could choose from several different sauces to top my pulled pork. Others at the table loved their meals. We had a fun time reading the sassy signs throughout the restaurant. I got the hog and the garlic mash. I added jalapenos to the sandwich, which already had brisket and pulled pork (I think) along with cheese (I recommend you hold the cheese though, the meat flavor needs to dominate). The garlic mash wasn't bad, but I'd try something else next time. They had a ton of sandwich options, it actually took me a while to decide on one. They had like 8 beers on tap and I got a Kona. In Brevard County, we have one outstanding BBQ restaurant (Crydermans) and then the rest. One thing I have never had in that #1 place is stale food. However, I get ahead of myself. Kelsey is my server today and not only was she exceedingly honest in regards to the menu, but she was outstanding in every way a server should. She was prompt, polite, outgoing, and exuded an air of welcoming confidence. If the front of the house needs a sacristan, Kelsey should be your go-to. Kudos, Kelsey! I asked Kelsey for the Beast Sandwich, a half-rack of Ribs, some Brunswick Stew and sides of corn on the cob and greens. As soon as Kelsey returned with my feast, I immediately got to work. This brings me back to my comment about never getting stale food at Crydermans. Unfortunately, Slow & Low has not grasped that principle. All of the food I tasted here was the dregs of the last seven days. I must have gotten the final order of greens out of a 10 day old pot. What is more insulting is that there are two locations. One in tourist trap heaven (Cocoa Beach, FL) and one in God's Waiting Room...Viera. Where pudding and Polident are the top selling items. The first item I sampled from Low & Slow BBQ was The Beast. The Beast is a sandwich consisting of burnt ends, pulled pork, in-house smoked sausage, Cole slaw, and pickled onions. Before I get into the description of the food, on the menu, it tells me the sausage was smoked in-house, and they felt the need to advertise that anything that doesn't say made in-house, such as the slaw, I assume was not. Once again, the start and finish of any sandwich is the bread upon which it is made. This was at least 3 days past the freshness date and the accompanying fillings of burnt ends and sausage tasted at least a month old. OK, I might have used a bit of hyperbole there, but you get my point, the meat was past its prime and please get your mind out of the gutter now. The half-rack of ribs was next to visit my palate and it left absolutely nothing behind as it did so. It had zero flavor. How is that possible for something that should have been in the smoker for hours before I ordered it? I took three bites to make sure I wasn't missing something and I wasn't. None of them resulted in flavor. I was tempted to skip the rest but knew I had a job to do, so I grabbed my spoon and ladled some Brunswick Stew into my oral orifice. Have you ever had stale stew? Neither had I until that moment. It was flat, bland, and again, the meat was tired and past its prime. My side of corn on the cob, while undoubtedly of the frozen kind, was surprisingly good, while the turnip greens were poorly executed and fell completely flat on the palate. I love this place!!!! Came here on a Tuesday around 530. All the lovely delicious BBQ you'll need during your trip to Cocoa Beach. Just one block behind the beach is this little haven. 2 for $1 drinks is a MUST. Margaritas was okay but hit the spot after a long drive from Tampa. Got the combo (lots of food!!) that comes with 2 sides. A star was removed because their menu lists gluten free but they don't have a dedicated fryer. It came with two ribs that were cold, pork that had more fat than actual meat, chicken quarter that the skin was so hard and crusted that it would not pull off the meat. We LOVE this place and came back twice in one week on our vacation. It really warmed my GenX heart to be listening to 80-90s alternative and good pop (ex. Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Police 3x, Beastie Boys) while feasting on such yummy BBQ and sipping on sweet Caribe cider. They made a special dinner plate of burnt ends for me. Be still my heart! This is an amazing BBQ eatery. So glad we stopped by last night. Staff and company gear/signs have that sassy humor customer service...love it. We went here for our last dinner while visiting Cocoa Beach. Their menu checked all the boxes - BBQ, fried green tomatoes, and key lime pie. The fried green tomatoes are as good as I remembered from my last visit to Florida. The pulled pork and all the sauces were so good. Saturday dinner and theater date night definitely left some memories! We have had take out from this location and rally enjoyed it but I don't think we will eat in again. I understand that many restaurants are short staffed but I don't think this was the case the night we visited as I saw at least 4 servers. Although there were a good number of tables filled outside and the 5 in the hall like dining area we were in will that many servers we should have had better service. Maybe they should have given servers sections together so other areas weren't forgotten. Now for the food! My husband and I each had iced tea as well as an order of fried pickles and an order of burnt ends. The burnt ends were amazing although for the price there could have been a bit more, I was looking forward to the fried pickles but the best thing about them was the horseradish dill dip, the pickles were super greasy and soggy. My husband had the Beast and I had a bbq salad with chicken, both were good but I probably wouldn't choose that meat the next time. Typical BBQ restaurant decor, looks a little unkept. Service was good, waitress came back many times to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. My wife and Dad got the full rack of ribs which were huge. The bad part was they were tough and dry. My daughter got pulled pork which she liked and the other daughter got the chicken wings which she liked. I got the exploding potato with brisket. Slow & Low is one of the places I typically hit when I'm in Cocoa Beach. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and friendly and food is great too. They have more than just BBQ, but why would you go to a BBQ place anything else? The BBQ is flavorful and juicy, and the selection of sauces is great for adding some extra kick. Nice outdoor space for a relaxing meal This restaurant is located on the northwest corner of N 3rd street and A1A. It is a standalone building with parking for about 45 cars in the lots to the north and west. There is an entry along the East side (A1A side). There is a hostess stand as you enter. To the right is the inside dining, consisting of a series of booths along the wall in the first room and then booths and tables in the room beyond. We decided to try this place for a large party. They have a large outdoor covered patio and bar on the south end of the building (to the left as you enter). We were seated quickly. As we had about 30 people who came at different times, ordering was a bit challenged. The waitress was nice and attentive to the new people arriving. Drinks came in a reasonable time. We ordered and some of our food came out quickly but at least 3 meals came out 30 minutes late as people were paying their bills and leaving. I ordered loaded chips and it was one of the last meals to come out. The food was pretty good. The prices were reasonable and the waitress was very nice. She was nice enough to do individual checks. It might not be the best place for a large party due to the outdoor noise interference but it is a nice outdoor space for a relaxing meal. read more

I'll start by saying our server, Thomass, did his best. They were short staffed and he did all he could to take orders, serve customers and bus tables. He worked hard and did all he could. He made things right for us when the food wasn't great. Regarding the food, so disappointed even though this place brags about fresh, quality food. Husband got the southwest burger -- it was not a "fresh" burger but frozen patty... barely any cheese and no "spicy" tiger sauce. I got " The Hog" served on a hot dog bun, not hoagie bun. Pulled pork, but no brisket. Not very good portion and paid extra for a few fried jalapeños. I also ordered the sweet potatoes chips which came out burnt. Sent those back and got waffle fries instead. If it wasn't for the good efforts of our server to try to make things right; I would have given a one star but kudos to our server for trying his best. Great Atmosphere and exceptional service! Had a reservation on a Saturday night for over 10 + people. The staff was very understanding and took a lot of care with our orders. However, food wise the barbecue is very typical. Burnt ends not seasoned enough and the pulled pork was a little dry. The home style Mac and Cheese was good as well as the fried pickles. What really saved the dried pulled pork was the variety of sauce available. Definitely give the chipotle sauce a go! Pricing is a little expensive, but overall a great atmosphere and they even had live music going on the outside patio! read more
