My church group went to Texas Roadhouse in Viera this week. It's a typical western themed restaurant. There were 7 of us. We were pretty crowded at the table they gave us. We had gone for the early dinner, 4:pm to 6:pm. I had the single pork chop dinner for $13.99 with 2 sides, baked potato and a side salad. The salad was very fresh and crispy. The potato was fluffy and not overcooked. The pork chop dinner was large, thick and very tender. What a great meal. Others had the bbq ribs declared delicious, the country fried steak with a white gravy was very good. As was the top Sirloin. Everyone was pleased with their meal and the value they received . The only distraction was the level of noise and crowded table. read more

I don't give a 5 star because of the cleanliness of the dinning quarters. The floor is dirty with napkins, papers, crayons. The floor in our table had a bone. Observed Bus Boys cleaning the table and sometimes the seat. Floor was filthy. Even manager came, walked on top of the trash in hallway and did not pickup. And the condition of the bathroom was terrible. A dining room has to be clean. Food was good as is consistent with TR. read more

I ordered a ribeye to go, cooked medium, and it was like chewing gum. That was the only steak I've ever tossed out in the last 5 years. Very little flavor and like chewing rubber. The ribs were good! On par with or a bit better than Outback Steakhouse's ribs. Their bread is awesome as well! Especially with their cinnamon butter. But you can raw dog the bread with no issue. Their mixed vegetables was bland and could use some salt and pepper or to be cooked a different way. All in all, the ribs and bread saved the day but their steak was a big let down. read more

This was our first time at this location. Came for dinner on a Friday night. It was super crowded inside but we only waited roughly 15 minutes for a table of two. Our server was absolutely incredible, I wish I got her name because she deserves to be recognized. She was so friendly and on top of everything, including making sure our drinks were never empty without having a second one waiting! The food was great! We ordered a 6oz sirloin and a bacon cheeseburger. I did order a med rare steak and it did come out way too done, but she made sure to get me a new one as quick as possible! We also ordered 2 appetizers - the boneless wings and ribs. Both were incredible and the ribs were literally falling apart in your mouth! Overall, it seemed like a very clean Texas Roadhouse and had a great experience. We will definitely be back! read more

It was our 1st time at this location Last location was when Las Vegas got their 1st location few years ago! Our server was Daniel he was super sweet attentive at the same time we are super chill too! All of our food was great We all ordered steak all MED RARE some parts were more rare but it's cool we had leftovers so won't over cook tomorrow It was busy everyone wanted to be inside because it's cold but our wait wasn't long (we went on the waitlist on the app) food wasn't long either! Original experience: First and maybe last time eating at the Rockledge location. This review is a hard one to break down as the food and service inside once seated was good but the wait time and how we were called back was horrible. We had reservations but still had to wait a long time. We had children with us, making the wait time feel longer but having to wait almost an hour after our reserved time because they decided to pick other groups ahead of us. Not quite sure how they decide on who to pick as our whole party was present and we went to check at least 3 times but they still picked other groups before ours. (Even ones that got there after us). Not to mention the evening we went, it was very cold. Thankfully they have an area to stay out of the cold, but it was smaller so our whole party could not wait since there was another party there also. Just be aware of the wait time and be proactive on making sure they know your whole party is present. We will probably place to go orders because we don't want to be doing that waiting game again. 3 star experience. *Peanut allergy alert, there are peanut shells on the floors. Second chance---since someone gave us a gift card. We arrived around 12:00pm Sunday. There was no one ahead of us so there was only a short 10 min wait for them to prep a table for 7. Our server Resie (I think I maybe spelling his name incorrectly) was excellent! Attentive, came back to give us refills even though he had tables at the far end of the restaurant, the person who walked us back was friendly, and came back to check on us, All the staff was friendly. The manager in duty was nice too. She came around to check to see how things were doing with us. Food was good as last time. Ribs were falling off the bone. My salad was good also. Serving size for price was good. The 4 stars is from this 5 star experience and the 3 star experience averaged out together. Good job making up for a bad first experience. read more

Texas Roadhouse but not my usual location. Very busy but we snagged a table quickly. It was loud and cold. Did I mention it was warmer (60's) outside than it felt in side. Eat fast or your food gets cold. Server was attentive .....at first. Ordered our food and I do love the house salad. Chicken critter meal was a large portion and served hot with good fries. Ranger meal was adequate for a kids meal. I always get the country fried chicken and I think the left half my serving I the kitchen. Check out the photo. Usually a full breast and I split it and have lunch for the next day. Not this time. Server was hanging out with the other employees at the work station and never checked on our drinks. Had to flag down another server and have them get our server. Dropped off the to go containers and left. Never told us to use the little kiosk and never offered to take our payment. Fortunately I knew the drill but our check was wrong. Another wait to get his attention and another wait to get it corrected. Tech is great but not at the expense of the experience. read more

My daughter and I visited on February 11. This is usually one of our favorite restaurants, and the service was friendly. There was a small mix-up with my order at first (very understandable given how loud it can be), and the waitress quickly corrected it. However, the grilled chicken tenderloins that were brought out were undercooked. I only ate one piece, and within four hours I became extremely sick. I ended up dehydrated and needing IV fluids. Thankfully, the severe symptoms lasted about 12 hours, but I felt weak for three days after. We have always enjoyed dining here, which makes this especially disappointing. I hope management reinforces food safety standards with the kitchen staff, as undercooked chicken is a serious health concern. read more

This is the best Texas Roadhouse location I've visited. From service, food and atmosphere it's always on point! This is my go to spot for a nice steak dinner that's not overpriced. My favorite steak is the 12oz ribeye. It's always cooked to perfection. No steak sauce is ever needed. My son loves their burgers. Don't skip the fully loaded sweet potato. It's definitely a good replacement for dessert. They have daily early bird specials and also a VIP club you can join. And they still have peanuts but they now come in individual bags you can take home. read more

Look: This is a chain restaurant like Outback, Chilis, and the long-gone Bonanza. You should not walk in expecting much more than United States American pub grub. The servers and service is EXCEPTIONAL, at least at the Viera/Melbourne, Florida location. They are fun, work well with one another to make sure guests are well-served. That goes a long way to a pleasant evening/dinner. I have only stopped here (this particular location) once. But I've been to 3-4 other Texas Roadhouses before. So I am not just basing this review on one visit. Anyhow, it's a warm & welcoming place, a lot like an Outback restaurant. Food, however, is really a challenge. Have had steaks (not bad, not great), burgers (not bad, not great, and - today - ribs (not great, not good). Maybe most people want ribs to fall off the bone and be pre-digested mush. I do not. The meal I ordered was $40, or $30 without the beverage. I ate 25% of the meal, and took 75% home. Most of it I will try to meld into something resembling an edible dish. It's not a great start. Overcooked (over steamed), over-sauced, and lacking in anything resembling pork. Ai yi yi. Sure, it's the "easy way" to serve this particular dish, but it would be better for the chain if you didn't, if this is what you are going to serve. Give people something a bit more Texas-twisted: Rubbed, smoked, sauce on the side. Make it "bacon on the bone". Look: You have obviously been in this Biz for a while, but I personally feel pain when a chain has most of what they need, then 'mail it in' when they add items to their menu to complete the scene. Figure out who you are, then slice up the menu so that each and every dish is the right one for you. Too much competition to serve milquetoast offerings. The biz is cutthroat. You got some good stuff - make that the focus. read more

Food was good, drinks were mediocre they didn't seem like they had any alcohol in them which is a bit upsetting when I'm paying $10 a shot, couldn't ask my waitress (sue) about it because she checked on us a total of two times and each time had a bad attitude and just didn't seem like she wanted to be there. When it came to the end she asked us if we wanted any boxes and we asked for one and I also asked for a cup Togo but she told me "I can't bring you a cup Togo until you finish your drink" I've been coming to this location for awhile and I've never had that issue before so than I asked her if she could just bring me a Togo cup already filled with water and she told me "no not until you finish your drink" which was a vodka and cran and I understand why she might have said that but it's was the level of attitude in her voice that kinda made me mad because I've never been told that was a rule! so in order to get my water I had to chug my drink and than once she noticed I was done she brought the water but slammed it on our table and when I tried to ask her for a box for my sisters food she ran away like she was mad! She also kept these blue gloves she had on and was cleaning tables and menus and I never saw her change her gloves which she touched not only my drinks with but also my food! Love the atmosphere and the excitement and unfortunately sitting at the bar tonight a mean spirited gentleman was hassling Crystal the manager and she handled it with such grace. The food was great in every way and our server was fantastic and super kind, on the other hand all of the younger folks who host up in the front lack communication skills, as well as personality and professionalism, specifically the young lady with the red braids who just so happened to seat us at our table just put the plates down and walked off with not one word being said, left me and my family with confusion and we weren't sure wether we were really getting a server or not, the experience wasn't all that bad but could definitely use some new and more professional hires cause i doubt the hosts will ever reach Texas Roadhouse standards. read more

I'm not the type to leave long draw out BAD reviews buttttt yesterday (8/2)the vibes in this place was offf completely not sure if everyone was just overwhelmed or had a bad day. First off our waiter Charlie approached us with a bad attitude when she took our drink orders we were asking her about the margaritas size/prices and her response to every question was "I don't know" not sure how long she's been there but at least show an effort to go look to answer our question to the best of your ability, we waited 30 mins for 3 margaritas. (Which the bar tender apologized for the wait) At this point there's another party that has been seated behind us Charlie goes to them takes there drink orders. 20 more mins go by and Charlie finally comes back to the table asked us "are you ready now" my aunt that was having dinner with me says yes we are and Charlie walks away. 20 more mins goes by Charlie finally comes back, we give her our order. She takes the order of the table behind us as well. About 15/20 mins goes by and the table behind us gets there food. We are confused at this point and my aunt asks Charlie politely "ma'am how long do you think our food will be we ordered before this table did" CHARLIE THEN PROCEEDS TO SAY "I don't know I'm not the cook..." almost yelling at my aunt. Come to find out Charlie didn't even put in our order until 10 mins after she took the table behind us. We did ask for a manager, which Mr.Shane showed up to our table with our food and we expressed to Mr.Shane that our waiter was very rude from the beginning and we had been sitting there for an hour and 15 mins before we even got food... that is when he told us our food was put in 15 mins ago... Besides the fact the waiter was a bitch for no reason to us.. and made us wait around for drinks and our food. Mr.shane made it right ! And apologized for Charlie's actions towards us. So I do appreciate the manager making it right! And making sure our food was good at this point we got our things to go. BUT WAITTTT! we get home and my husband starts eating his smokehouse burger and something stabs him in the mouth!!!!! It is a plastic piece with a sharp edge that was in/on his BURGERRR. We don't normally go to chain restaurants on vacation but we found a lot of places closed on a Monday and landed at TR. Rockledge is spoiled with this place. Everyone was nice and helpful even if they weren't our server. And our server was top notch. They perform line dances periodically which is very entertaining. Just a great atmosphere! This was the best Texas Roadhouse I've ever seen to! Clean, the manager touched our table, our server was outstanding and attentive, and the steaks were cooked PERFECTLY. Also, I love how the checks are presented here. I can leave when I want to and I don't have to wait on a busy server (not that ours couldn't have handled it because she was a boss) to bring me my check. This was a wonderful dining experience! It was sooooooo cold in the restaurant that we could not even enjoy our beer let alone eat dinner. Everyone at the bar was complaining about how cold it was! They first told us the heat was broken then told us they turned on the heat. Our breaking point was when the people around us were having issues with their food coming out, salads after entrees...I'm not going to eat dinner while my teeth are chattering...the manager laughed when we told her we were freezing! Mr. Hall you have your name on a bright yellow sign that you run the place, you might want to re-evaluate what makes your customers happy & maybe take notes from the staff at the Eau Gallie location! One of the most efficient locations I have ever been to. The inside is just like any other Texas Roadhouse that you may have been to; clean and uniform. The food is always consistent here. Horrible experience for my daughter's big day. Ordered a medium rare steak and it finally comes out well done. Everyone apologized and were very nice and the manager then ordered me another steak medium rare. After another prolonged wait, at this time everyone at the table is done with their meal mind you, the manager brings the new steak back out and again the steak was well done. The manager and I both were dumbfounded. WTH has happened to Texas Roadhouse? Have they forgotten how to cook? I really felt sorry for my waitress and manager. The kitchen is really letting them down. We will never eat there again and I will be sure to spread this bad experience far and wide as I can to warn everyone in the Viera area not to eat at this particular establishment. Took my mom here yesterday for Mother's Day, It was super busy, yet we didn't have to wait too long since I called ahead and got on the waitlist. I have absolutely no complaints on the food or the service, everything tasted so good, including the warm delicious bread. Everything was going great until we got our orders in, toon them about 25 minutes to bring our food, yet I knew it was busy so I didn't mind that much. What really made me angry was the dirty utensils. The forks still had rice on it, I asked the waiter to please bring us clean utensils and he apologized and went to get us new ones, guess what? The second set was also dirty, which I asked him to please gets us another set of clean utensils. I got aggravated because there were go waiting again on utensils to eat!! Found what appears to be a CLAW in my food from our meal there on 7/5/2024. This was in the leftovers that I was eating today and needless to say, I'm beyond disgusted. My meal consisted of a full rack of ribs, fries, and a salad which we brought home. They've also cut back on the portions - a "full" rack of ribs now consists of 6 ribs. I'm guessing a half-rack is now 2 ribs. My wife had a salad with her meal as a side...she asked for ranch dressing. When she poured the dressing on, she noticed chunks in the dressing. It was sent out with blue cheese, something my wife is HIGHLY allergic to. Very glad she caught this BEFORE taking a bite. On the topic of our salads from our visit on the 5th, when we had them Friday night the lettuce was brown and wilted. Also, during the last two visits prior to this one, our appetizers were brought out undercooked and cold. It seems that ever since Brianna (manager) was transferred, this location has gone downhill in a big way. I think it's understandable that we have NO plans on returning. read more

While Texas Roadhouse is not haute cuisine, it is a great value with excellent food options that can please just about anyone. The service was great, although it was a little confusing at the hostess stand. We had the chicken fried chicken and the chicken fried steak. Huge portions and very tasty. First and last time visiting this location. Went to the desk and asked to be seated in the bar. I could visibly see 3 empty booths. Two different people behind the desk are calling different people for whatever reason. Then she asks "is there anywhere else you'd like to sit". Ummmmm NO. They go back to calling people again but I guess nobody is answering. After a few minutes of this circus, she asks for my name and phone number and said we will notify you when your table is ready. WTF! I'm looking at empty booths! We stand there for a solid 5 minutes looking at the empty booths and still nothing. So! We left and went and enjoyed an amazing dinner at Longhorn. Needless to say...I will NOT be returning to Texas Roadhouse. What a cluster. read more

Our experience during this visit was fantastic. Even though the restaurant was very busy the staff worked extremely hard to please each customer. My wife and I sat at the bar. Our servers were Sara and Kelly. We never wanted for anything. They both made sure we had a fantastic experience. The food was hot and fresh. The steaks were cooked perfect. As a steak lover and first-time visitor, I had high hopes. Wow, what a bummer. The 12-ounce Ribeye that I had was absolutely inedible. It was stringy and sinewy and I would still be there chewing it to this day if it were seasoned properly. I couldn't even cut it with their big knife. It's a ribeye after all, I shouldn't even have to use a knife, right? It was obviously a very bad cut and the manager dutifully removed it from the bill. However, the loaded baked potato was so cold that the already cold butter and sour cream just laid there and mocked me. The Ribs were OVER cooked 3 exits back and were just about mush at that point. They were also under seasoned. None of my other guest's proteins were cooked correctly either but, the better sides were the baked sweet potato and the green beans. Unlikely underdogs that they were they were both seasoned and cooked correctly. The high point comes from our wonderful server Brooke whose smile (and the reason for the extra star) helped me forget that I was leaving a steak house still hungry. With the high cost of dining out these days I won't waste my time or money here again. read more
