Why is Brevard County sleeping on this place? We popped in…read moretonight for an early dinner and were surprised to only find one other couple there. (Glad to report several more arrived in the time we were there.) The place is adorable, clean and well lit. We ordered several items the hush puppies, garden salad with grilled chicken, the Florida Heat Lobster Roll, and the Connecticut Lobster Roll. The rolls came with fries, baked beans and Coleslaw. We enjoyed everything! The baked beans were Boston style and flavorful. The coleslaw was vinegar based - the way I like it. The rolls were perfect. Misty was our server. She was just attentive enough. Sometimes when restaurants are slow servers will over do it and she was great. She helped us with our selections. The food came fast and hot. I highly recommend this place. We weren't drinking tonight but they also have happy hour M-F.

I ordered a Big Wave for my drink ($5.50). I sat at the bar and my server, Hannah, was polite and pleasant as well as extremely efficient. She had my drink within a minute of ordering and checked on me throughout my meal. The inside is decorated with interesting colors and artwork. It's an inviting place and would be a great place for groups. My Lobster Roll meal came out in a timely manner and looked very good. However unfortunately, there wasn't much taste to it. It was extremely dry. I did order a gluten free bun so maybe that was the problem? Anyway, I was not impressed. The beans, coleslaw, and fries were very good.

This place is truly a hidden gem. It sits right on A1A in Cape Canaveral, just beyond the traffic light as you cross the Cruise Ship Terminal. Parking is plentiful, easy to access, and easy to get in and out of. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and inviting. The service was top-notch, and our waiters were extremely knowledgeable about the menu, including how everything was prepared. One thing that really stood out to me was the freshness of the food. There are no heating lamps keeping plates warm and no "Chef Mike" (microwave) shortcuts. Everything is made to order, exactly the way you want it. They have a great regular menu, but they also offer specials, which is what I went with. I had the NY Strip special, and it was cooked to perfection! The steak was incredibly well-seasoned and paired with a zucchini and squash medley that tasted like it had just the right touch of truffle oil and garlic. It was seasoned perfectly. I normally don't eat zucchini or squash unless they're prepared a certain way, and this was exactly how I like them. Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend stopping in and giving this place a try. Be sure to take a look around at all the space-related items throughout the restaurant--they add a really cool Cape Canaveral touch to the experience. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and a memorable evening. You won't be disappointed!

It was just as good as I remembered... excellent pizza and specials. I ordered salmon with a sweet thai sauce over mashed potatoes and spinach. It was topped with a few plump shrimp, and it was delicious! One of the best meals I'd had in a while. My husband enjoyed his dish as well which was a pasta with a cream sauce and mussels. Unfortunately the dish lacked the pieces of lobster that we were told it would include, but the dish tasted great. Our boys enjoyed their pizza. I'd give the food 5 stars. Overall, I'd give the restaurant 4 stars. I knocked off a point just because it took a while for our server to acknowledge us, and the ambiance was nice enough but not 5 stars quality. I'd certainly visit again if I were in the area.

Very unfortunate that the new owners ruined what was once an amazing establishment…read more I used to be so proud to bring my friends and family to the Village Bier Garden but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone now. I understand it can be challenging for new owners to reopen a business and uphold its original integrity, but unfortunately, these owners have failed miserably despite the multiple chances I've given them. They are extremely inconsistent with their hours, often closing during peak times or random days of the week. Tonight, for example, a busy Saturday night with the village packed...they decided to close early at 9 p.m. and were only serving rum and Coke or beer. They were literally turning away business. The authentic German food that once set this place apart is gone. While a few "German-style" items remain on the menu, I wouldn't recommend them. The overall atmosphere has completely changed, no longer family-friendly, with rude staff and no trace of the live German music that used to fill the air and make this spot so special. After giving them several chances, I can confidently say I won't be returning.
