I've been coming here for a year now and love the gel service cause they last over 2 weeks. Lately though, I've been noticing my nails have been chipping often than the regular. Went to get my nails done a day before a flight; and after several hours... my nails looked like the picture attached after a shower. Very unhappy that this happened. I'm thinking that the lady who did my nails did not wait till they completely dried under the gel light. I've been going to CoCo Nails since I moved out to Webster Groves in July. It has been a struggle to find a salon I feel I can keep coming back to. But luckily, this business has brought me a lot of satisfaction as they are super consistent and do a great job. A lot of nail salons typically do not listen to what I genuinely want but CoCo Nails strives to give the best service possible. Typically, I do a simple French on both my nails and toes but when I want to do a design, they are able to do it. To add, I love how the guy who is in charge comes over and checks in on me to make sure everything is going well. Clean but horrible quality. Dip polish doesnt last longer than a week. Not sure if they are using quality products because dip nor gel lasts longer than 7 days. I've tried them out on multiple occasions because it's quiet, clean, and hardly ever a wait (in hindsight that might because of the issues) Prices are extreme for the service you receive. Most technicians I've tried don't really care about how great the polish lays, the shape you want. The goal is just rush to complete the job. I came in from out of town to get a polish change for a movie premiere..it was $35...$25 she said for change of color and $10 for french tip. the white lines are sloppy and uneven, crooked. I've been coming to coco nails for a few months now. I've seen multiple nail techs and have had good experiences. Today , I was with Lisa ( straight hair and bangs) and she was extremely rude. I received a cut down and she still complained about the length of my nails throughout the entire service. I let her know twice that, the drill was hurting. She seems irritated that I mentioned it. She was flippant during the service and then over charged me and was nasty when I asked her why I was charged an additional $5. I understand everyone has bad days but that was a bit much. There is leftover dry skin and product around my nails and my nail beds are extremely soar. I always tip my service providers as I appreciate their hard work and usually customer service but today I didn't. Not sure I'll return. read more

Service is okay at best. Greeted at the door which was nice but proceeded to wait in a pedicure chair for at least 30 minutes. Then I asked for the basic of the basic procedures and she "gave me the better one" and charged me for the up charge when I didn't want it at all. Then comes the gel... I had waited 10 minutes for someone to come and cure the top coat and they never did. Now to the fingers... I've NEVER felt like such a burden when it comes to getting dip. First my length of choice was too short and she wouldn't cut them anymore. Then I wanted them rounded so I didn't slice everything I touched and that was too much of a problem and the lady didn't round the edges. THEN my one nail started hurting after a week or so and didn't know why...? THERE WAS MOLD GROWING ON MY NAIL. I've never been more dissatisfied with an establishment. Ever. read more

They got me right in and we started with a pedicure. They had a fairly large menu of pedicure options and I got the deluxe pedicure. I happened across CoCo Nails by chance on a Sunday. The place I had visited a few times regularly prior had changed their hours to closing on Sundays and my hands were in a bad way needing some special love. As is always my go-to, I opened Yelp and starting searching for open salons near me that had good ratings and reviews in the recent past. Everything too close to me had less than four stars and yes I'm that picky, so I went searched a little further out on the map and there it was! CoCo Nails. In the same plaza as the JoAnn Fabric, Shoe Carnival, DMV, McAllister's, and Marshall's that I was already familiar with. I called and they were able to see me within 30 minutes. Super! They had just opened in this location I learned and they are beautifully decorated, very clean and everything is organized. It's very classy looking and I was greeted by both individuals behind the counter. Angel took me right away even though I was a few minutes early and she got me seated and my feet in the extra-warm water. I realized that I hadn't picked a color so she brought me a book of the mail colors. They use a brand where every color available can be done as regular polish, gel, or dip. I chose different colors for each my toes and my fingernails. I asked for the luxury pedi with regular polish and a manicure with dip. Oh the luxury pedicure was blissful!! The chairs have the back massage and the buttons functions are self-explanatory- not like some places I've been where it feels like I have to be a rocket scientist to operate. I've been working extra long on my feet with yard work and such and my puppies were barking. Angel was a magician with her hands on my legs and feet with the lotions and waxes while she gave me the several massages that are part of the luxury pedicure. When we moved to the manicure station, she helped me carry my things and worked quickly. It was amazing to watch. This was my first time getting dip - I'm used to gel nails. All in all, I had an extraordinary experience and I will drive the roughly 15 minutes to CoCo Nails to see Angel again! read more

I had a wonderful experience at coco nails. My mom and I went in for a pedicure, which was very relaxing. I appreciated the sanitary linings and the one time use packets for certain products. I also got a full set with Danny who did a wonderful job. I was not really sure what I wanted but he took my inspo picture with the fact I wanted something more simple and created a great look. He was very precise and re-did the design on a few nails he was not happy with as he worked on my set. They also fit us in last minute as a walk in with no wait. I took my daughter here for her birthday and both of my daughters got the "dip powder" nails manicure because they said it was durable and would last 3-4 weeks and was chip resistant. For my 6 year old, it has been great so far (10 days) and there are no chips at all. However, my older daughter's nails started having the protective top coat peal off on 7 of her nails the very next day. Once that started, the color-coat underneath started chipping off like old paint. We called that day to see if they could fix it, and they said they would if we came in on Sunday (8 days after the initial visit). We explained that was Mother's Day so we couldn't do that day, and they said we could come anytime. So we came in a few days later. When we got there, they told us they wouldn't do anything because it had been more than a few days. They refused to do anything and refused a refund as well. I asked to speak to the manager who told us to come in today and they said he wasn't there and told me to come back later. I am frustrated by the customer service. It seems there was clearly a top coat failure and they told us to wait to come in then wouldn't fix the problem because we waited (like they told us). I would not recommend this place. read more

I have been here twice, I will never be coming back here, steer clear of this place. I had the WORST nail salon experience of my entire life. The 1st time was ok + slightly rushed but it was an OK pedicure, the gel chipped within 3 days which has never happened. The 2nd time, yesterday, I wish she had a name tag on because I can not BELIEVE how incredibly awful this woman was. First, I told her that I did not want my nails grinded down too much because the last person damaged them very badly. She proceed to do it anyways, I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she couldn't understand me. Then, when she's shaping my nails, I told her the length I wanted + she got very sassy with me, saying they are better at the length she just cut them. I thought she was joking with me because of how ridiculous she just sounded. Mind you, she just had put the tip on, no shaping nothing, so it would have taken her 2 seconds to use the nail cutters and cut them. She then completely botched the shape of them, prior to this she grabbed my hand very aggressively + pulled my arm sideways after I told her the shorter thing, (I have been to a bunch of salons, I'm used to them grabbing your hand etc but this was almost violent and it lunged my entire front body + I went into the desk) She then argues with me bc I told her they are not the shape I wanted at all, they are way too short on the sides and at the top now. I wish I had a photo of my normal nails because the length she made the tips was literally the same exact length as my nails when I walked in there prior to her shaving them down the top (which I didn't want) and my actual nail and not trimming them with nail cutters. I start to become upset at this point because I do not like this shape. I go back and forth with her asking her to fix them, she does not want to and says they are better how she just did them. What???? I just sat there because I do not want to start getting into an argument with this random woman but I should have just walked out at this point, but I stayed. She gets into a bunch of other stuff with me while painting my nails, I showed her the design I wanted and she is insisting she use a certain color of polish and I told her 'NO' over 5 times about it. She said that color will look good etc Like lady, I am paying for your services. I do not want that color. I then just opt in for a basic French tip, she can't mess that up right? Incorrect. Because she made my nails so short, the tip had to be shorter to match it but she was making everything crooked. I had to point to my nail multiple times because she left a chunk of the dip type stuff on it and literally painted my nail with it like that. She said she wasn't fixing it multiple times, so I went to take a photo of it and she said no phone and tosses my phone to the side of the table. I have a photo of it prior to the paint though because she walked away to go to the back for a little, who knows for what. Instead of the thing I wanted to do with my nails, I just chose stickers, you can't mess up stickers right? Wrong. She put them on backwards and upside down, after I told her how I wanted and pointed. She said AGAIN, " no, it looks better this way ". I really thought I was on some Pranked TV show. I have had enough with this behavior and her saying No to me, so I pulled my hand back and she got upset. "No, I do not want this like this. Stop being ridiculous". She then grabs my hand, starts aggressively SCRATCHING off the sticker that wasn't even fully pressed down, which went through the top coat. She puts the sticker on again and does the other hand. She misaligned them, told me No again when I asked for her to either put another sticker or paint on the side, she said it would look bad. I go to pay and the man working, I'm not sure if he's a manager or owner or what, but he could tell I was not happy. He had walked by a couple of times before and had saw my look of annoyance. He asks me if I liked my nails, I told him no and that his worker was very rude. He said he will take $5 off though!!!! Yes, because $5 is totally worth my time. I didn't care about the price at all, it was the behavior of this lady I was so shocked about. Now, today I am going to a different salon. I have never felt so compelled to write a bad review on a business but stay away from this place. Idc if they have a printed out menu and act like they have amenities, they don't actually bring you drinks fyi (both times I've been there nothing was offered and when I asked twice the first time I came there, nothing came) This lady had no name tag but she had glasses, her nails done Pink and Blue, a lot of jewelry on, multiple earrings as well, wasn't heavier set or super skinny, I couldn't tell how tall she was because she was seated, she had makeup on and a bun. I wish I had her name because she should not work at any establishment with that attitude and behavior. read more

I gave this place 3 tries. Every business has a bad day, but after 3 visits it's clear this place is a no for me. My first visit, I got an SNS powder dip manicure. Just color, no design or tips, nothing complicated. They didn't look good, but it wasn't awful. I went back a second time, maybe the tech was having an off day. Nope. Second visit I somehow got the same tech. When she was done she ushered my to the register without even giving me a chance to look at my finished nails. I paid, I went outside, I looked at my nails. My god they looked awful. I went back in and she re-did them. They still looked bad, but marginally better. I didn't have the heart to tell her they still looked terrible because she was so nice. I went back a third time for a pedi. The tech was very pushy about trying to get me to do the deluxe pedi ($65). I told her no thank you, and to get her to stop trying I had to tell her that is too much for my budget. She was pushy about doing gel instead of regular polish. I asked them to remove the manicure and refund me.
