Welp, I won't be coming back here nor would I recommend anyone to this establishment. I got a dip powder mani by Louis. He was late, non-personable, non-friendly and too damn quick for my liking. I only went there based on pictures and Louis being named a "design" expert but what's talent without customer service. He didn't say anything to me when he sat down (LATE) except for "show me a picture of what you want"sped through the appointment, didn't completely remove the previous dip color, barely filed my nails and never asked what shaped I wanted. Didn't even properly clean up my cuticles. He seemed uninterested like he didn't want to work there -- SO DON'T. I and I believe others pay for your expertise, an experience and customer service so when you pay over $50 for a service you should expect and deserve all three. Also, my friend came with me for a pedi and her experience was terrible. She couldn't walk out wearing her sandals (which she typically is allowed to do) the guy gave her some BS excuse. They rushed her out of her seat at the end of the service and did a horrible polish job (pic included). In conclusion, if you want to go somewhere to relax, get pampered, feel like a Queen, indulge in the experience of getting a well done, top notch mani/pedi AVOID THIS PLACE. Dallas is too big for the F**KERY Not to mention the smell of acetone and that's on top of wearing a mask ugh! Two stars because the design was pretty close to what I wanted. If he paid a little more attention to detail and didn't act like he was doing me a favor my experience and review could have been different. My next review will be based on a recommendation to the Diamond Nail Salon on Virginia and N Custard! read more

Luan was able to take me as a walk in to get my nails done for my wedding. He did an amazing job! Such great attention to detail and he got it exactly the way I wanted it. I called in advanced and notified them of me going to be a few minutes late. I arrived at 12:37 and when in I was greeted with a "What do you need?". I responded saying that I had an appointment with Louis at 12:30. Young man told me to sit down and when Louis came by that's when the experience started. He came by and said "What color?"... Keep in mind I still don't have a book or any options for colors. So I had to hurry to Pinterest and find a random set. He nodded and started working. He starts aggressively filing and maneuvering by hands very rough. I tried to start a conversation with him but he didn't even want to make eye contact with me. I wanted a french tip set and when it got time to pick my color he threw down the colors on the table. At this point, I continued to maintain a smile due to the fact he's doing my nails. He finished and the work was great! Ended up tipping him $15. Moral of this story, I read the reviews after my appointment and noticed a few of Black women having a problem at this salon. Me also being a black woman, I received the same experience as well..., Did Louis think I was going to tip? Probably not. I'm a server and I tip everywhere I go. She doesn't speak, offer water, or say two words to you as she's doing your service. Two of my nails started to clip the day after getting my nails done. She referred to us as "you people" meaning black people don't tip.Laura came across to be very races. She told me she was just a straightforward person. I hate writing bad reviews, esp when it comes to a place that I usually love! I went in today (walk in) for a standard red acrylic with a matte finish. No fancy designs, nothing. I believe I got Louis as my experience with his attitude matches the reviews on here. When I sat in the chair I noticed that he was going very fast, like he needed to be somewhere. Listen, from the other reviews on here I can tell you this: These other reviewers have never had a physically demanding service jobs like Nail techs. Its 10+ hour days, sometimes not the best pay, and sometimes having rude customers. So that is why I cut him some slack! Maybe he was off his game, maybe he had personal issues or something idk but I will not be harsh on him. To his credit, the left hand is great, a few bumps where the acrylic bead wasn't smooth, but its not like I can do any better myself, so overall the left hand is nice. Unfortunately the right hand is a bit...well she's a bit messy. The tips were put on crooked, and the bead got into my cuticles. I am very pale, so even if I wash my hands 300 times, it will still be stained. But, that can't always be controlled. The price was good, $45 for a full set, and I did tip him $10 because of a few things: If you walk in, set the expectations low. its the saturday before thanksgiving, its busy asf the left hand is nice. Overall, I'm sad that I had this experience but my other nail techs are usually amazing. My advice is to get an appointment, and get one of the ladies as I've always heard they usually do better. read more

This weekend I made an appointment at coco nails with Louis. Never again will I be heading back in there. I walk in and no one greeted I told one of the techs there I had an appointment at 3 with Louis he told me just to take a seat at his station. I sat there waiting for about 10 minutes he comes out from the back looks at me and states, " you have an appointment?" I say, "yes, it's a 3 with Louis." He looks at me like I'm crazy, "are you sure?" He's says this time, the whole time he has a horrible attitude. He goes to look at the computer and come back and says, "go get a color" I'm still so confused and thinking like why the attitude. He goes to ask me if I have a sister which I answered yes, he then tells me I know who you are I'm like oh okay (my sister goes there all the time). He's then taking off my old set and is all rough and hurting me. I asked him, "are you ok? Do you not want to do my nails?" He again states, "I know who you are, you don't know my policy. I have a no show policy" Then it clicks in my head, I made an appointment several month ago with my sister and I couldn't go because my son got sick. I apologized to him and stated, "im so sorry Louis yes I made an appointment with my sister we didn't come I had an emergency with my son" he then says, "that's not my problem and that is my policy" (funny my sister missed the same appointment and still let's her get her nails done) I got so upset and lost it. Im like what do you mean that's not your problem you could be understanding he's a kid and needed his mom I'm not leaving him sick to come get my nails done. I tried talking to the manager at the shop explaining the situation and he just looks at me and says," Louis has a policy not out problem of your child gets sick and you can't make it to your appointment" I have never in my life felt so unable to do anything and been so disrespected. I call my sister (she's 17) and asked her is he always like that, she's like no he actually laughs when people leave mad or put bad reviews about him he thinks it's so funny. Well mom heard me talking to my sister and was like, "Steph he's weird he lets all the young girls do whatever they want it's only with the older women he acts like that with, he has even asked my sister and her friends if they have sugar daddies!!!" I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO COCO NAILS!! I left crying my son was with me (he's 6) and said ,"mama why is he so mean you are so sweet to everyone and everyone loves you" I broke down and was in such disbelief. I posted a review on Facebook and owner of salon has threatened to leave false reviews of my landscaping business. Owner says I have sent people to review them. I am coming out and letting everyone know women have posted their reviews on their Facebook page and I don't know who they are. I've been just a few times for nails only and have not had a pleasant experience. They act like your a major inconvenience and are very rude if your question their work. They don't speak in English when taking amongst themselves and it's like pulling teeth for them to converse with the customers. I walked in on a Saturday morning around 1030 after noticing this new spot had opened recently. I have to give them credit: the place is bright, clean and beautifully decorated on the inside with TVs and a good variety on the playlist. From soft hits to soothing spa tracks this place sets the right vibe. Understandably, this is a new business and everyone is learning and adjusting. One downfall is that time management is sub par. I was told the wait would be about 25 minutes after being seated. Ok, sure. I understood as a walk-in. Now first, had I known the actual wait time was an hour I would have came back at a later time. After the 25 minute wait time had passed, one lady started soaking my feet for a pedicure and disappeared. Another 15-20 minutes later another person came to start on my nails and disappeared. After another 20 minutes of passed time, finally someone sits down to finish my basic mani/pedi set. I wasn't exactly happy with my results either. My toenails were not even clipped and my fingernails were not evenly filed or shaped. Polishing was meh. I don't see myself visiting again in the near future. Because this location is around the corner from my home, I may reconsider later down the line once it's better established. read more

This place has such horrible customer service. I came in hoping someone would be able to color match a nail inspo picture I brought in. She proceeded to tell me that she didn't know and to just choose a color. The one I chose ended up being off and so I again asked if someone could color match me and she said, "You can ask them. I don't know." I walked back up to the front desk where the colors were, and asked the nail tech there. She proceeds to say that my nail tech is "The most patient person here. She's already tried to help you and you said no, so what can we do?" Which was a blatant lie! I was in shock. She didn't once try to help color match, and her implication that my nail tech was being so patient to put up with me was really rude. All I wanted was help picking a color that would resemble the picture, which has been a standard request at other salons since they are more familiar with their colors than I am. They proceeded to say that I argued with them so they couldn't help me and to just choose a color so she could finish my nails. Safe to say I left in tears with nail art that looked much worse than the design I brought in. Never coming back again. This place deserves 0 stars. read more

Looked great tipped him VERY well, I am a waitress and rely on tips so I know how it is. Iced out by Louis! 100% real Swarovski nails are the thing I didn't know I needed in my life but totally love!!! Thanks for explaining the difference between chinese stones and real Swarovski crystals. It makes a big difference. I've loved my nails every time but this is my favorite set of nails ever!!
