When this was HAYDEN NAIL SPA ran by Derek, he was so friendly and able to run the flow of the nail salon. I could walk in and it was fine, wait was not bad. I could call and get an appointment quickly. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and always did great nails. When the business was sold, I could tell that things were changing and not for the good. During one appointment I watched the salon pick and choose what clients they wanted to serve. Now I feel like she did the same to me. I called TWICE to make appointments and TWICE got turned AWAY. The first time she said to "Come back tomorrow," so I called the next day and I got turned away AGAIN. Another customer also saw the owner choose clients as she was getting services done. Customers would come in, then the owner would get phone calls from customers and she would say, "sorry there's no time." Then a mother and daughter came in for a walk-in for two mani and two pedis, and suddenly she has time for them?! I hate that I have to rate it 1 star because there is one *amazing* nail tech who does a great gel nail and he shouldn't have to lose business because of a horrible salon owner. If you want great gel nails go to Bang, he sits right by the window. He's the best... only if you manage to get service here. But due to poor customer service by the new owners running this place, I no longer can go back. I hope it changes soon. I used to recommend this place to everyone, but will not do so anymore. The owner didn't even TRY to save getting business from me, just an "okay, sorry." If you decide to go, you'll get great service ONLY if the owner decides if you're worthy. If not, don't waste your time. Go somewhere else! read more

Great service! Got us in fast and did an amazing job! Myself, daughter and Mother all got gel nails. We're all visiting and didn't know where do go saw this one was across the street from Kauai Island Brewing Co. where we had awesome shrimp and chips, fish tacos and fish and chips. So maybe get your nails done and enjoy some good food. read more

It was quite random and spontaneous for me to be at Coco Nail Spa. My husband and I decided to kill times and also relax a bit after our heavy meals at Kauai Island Brewery and Grill across the street. Luckily, Tea was able to get us both set up after just 10 min wait. I only did a simple white/pink ombre with glitter and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his nails cut/cleaned and a foot massage. I appreciate the brightness and cleanliness of this spacious nail salon. The technicians were caring and friendly. They took time working on us and recommended us a few other things to do around the islands. read more

They were able to get my friend and myself in for two last min gel mani and spa pedis. They did a great job. The price was little high but for the convinence it was worth it. read more

Rude, unsanitary, and disgusting! I sent my daughter here, only to find out about the deplorable conditions. Filthy hygiene with the pedicure tools. I was shocked, awed, and disgusted that a nail technician rinsed my daughters pedicure tools in her used pedicure water, then returned them to the case in which they use on other people. I'm so horrified, that I'm reporting this to the health department! This filthy type of practice can seriously injure someone. They were annoyed that someone called them on it. Regardless, #HealthHazard! read more

Loved my experience the nail tech gave me the best massage during my pedicure she was very friendly and chatted with me while working on my toes. I got a little burnt with the hot stones though just a tad bit to hot but she was very apologetic next time I will stick to the deluxe. read more

I'm a first timer here, and i have to say nothing but great service. My first reaction of the prices had me a little sketchy but you definitely get what you pay for. I don't usually keep up with getting my nails/toes done, but i will continue to return here from now on. 10/10. read more

Coming from Southern California, i have pretty high standard. I didn't expect much going to a nail salon in Hawaii. But this place is a hidden charm. Not only making my nails look nice and pretty, but also proving me an excellent customer service. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the lady who helped me. She is friendly and professional. While working on my nails, she kept checking and making sure that I was satisfied with the shape, the color and everything. Overall, I had a really good experience coming here and would recommend this place to everyone. read more

Fantastic find - my daughter had what she called the best ever acrylics done. I had a wonderfully relaxing pedicure & excellent manicure. Loved the people. The place is spotless, and the procedures were very sanitary. This may have been the best salon we've ever been to. Drove half hour to get here, very worth it. Make a reservation - they take walk-ins, but if they're busy, you'll wait. read more

We called at 4:30 to ask if they had space for 3 people for pedicures. They said yes they had 3 openings, so we said we were coming. We drove to Port Allen and arrived at 4:45. When we walked in they told us they didn't have any openings. We even asked if they could just take one of us and they said not for the rest of the day. Please don't waste people's time in the future. read more

As a bride who lives in California, getting my nails done was not something I thought about until I was in Kauai. In panic mode, I drove around trying to find a nail technician who was available and could do an acrylic French manicure. Enter Hayden Nail Spa. Named after the owners son, Hayden has the same quality technicians that I have here in San Francisco. With tons of technicians and stations, you can bring bridesmaids and make it a group date. My nails not only looked fantastic but also lasted the entire honeymoon read more

I came to Kauai to get married and was looking for a nail shop that could accommodate 6 girls that wasn't outrageously expensive. Hayden Nail Salon is a short drive from poipu and well worth it. This might be the best mani and pedi I've ever gotten. They take their time and make sure you are completely satisfied before you walk out the door. I would highly recommend this salon to large groups as they have multiple tubs, the salon is new and clean and they have a great selection of colors to choose from. read more

I was here last July with my wedding party and they did a great job handling the group of 15 of us. I needed my dipped nails redone and they fit me in last minute. Ti did a great job! I'm very happy with their service! read more

I love this place. It's near my house so I don't have to drive far and they always do a good job with my pedicures. Good crew

I've been here a few times since it has been Coco Nail Spa, but honestly it was better when it was Hayden Nails. It seems very unprofessional that there isn't anyone working a front desk. As soon as you walk in one of the ladies will yell to you (while they're doing someone else nails) from across the room, asking if you have an appointment or not. When I replied "Yes I'm here for a manicure", they just pointed at a wall filled with different colors of nail polish and said "pick one". After waiting a few minutes for someone to finish with their current client, they called me over for my turn. As I'm sitting down they're just doing a quick wipe to remove some of the dust from the previous clients nails. So once I put my hands on the counter I can feel all of the nail dust still left behind. So I lift my hands up and dust them off try making it clear that it's still just dirty. Not only that, I can see little clippings of nails next to their lamp stand. Eww... Their nail files look like they've been used on at least 20 different people, can you imagine the amount of bacteria on those things? The lady doing my nails was very rough and I told her it hurt when she kept nipping my skin with the sander. In the end my nails came out looking pretty good maybe a 8/10. BUT the very next day, one of nails got swollen and I ended up with an infection. The cleanliness and professionalism is really bad. I've had other not-so-great experiences here but this was the worst and I won't be going back. read more

Coco Nail Spa - Cute Hawaiian themed design - Nail Salons Near Me - Eleele, Hawaii

My 17 year old daughter went here for a pedicure for her prom. The male employee who did her pedicure stunk of cigarette smoke because after she sat down to get her pedicure he got up and went outside to smoke a cigarette first. Very unprofessional! During the pedicure - he dug into both of her big toes so deep she ended up with an infection on her right big toe that was full of pus. Not very happy with this nail salon. Her big toes on both feet hurt when coming home after the pedicure and during her prom - especially her right big toe that ended up very painful. read more

Left here disappointed. I got the mani/pedi combo and I ended up leaving with my nails in worse condition than they were before I got there. My finger nails and toe nails were cut all crooked since they used a cuticle cutter instead of a nail clipper, they were left rough, jagged, and crooked even though they did file them after cutting them, and they were poorly painted. It was disappointing to have tried out this new place that I kept getting told about only to have left knowing that I do a better job on my nails and that I had just wasted my time and money since I had to fix the mess that was my nails. read more

Very clean!!! Had my own private cubby hole for my mani. More shellac choices than I've seen before!!!

Professional. Clean. Relaxing. Awesome. Highly recommend. Convenient too for west siders! My feet feel awesome and toes look great ! Make an appointment so you don't have to wait. I always do :) read more

Came in on December 14 to make a manicure pedicure appointment for my boyfriend and I. When I made the appointment I was told the spa could accommodate both of us for a mani pedi at that time slot. We arrived for our scheduled appointment and had to wait 10 min. My pedicure started right away and I was told my nail tech that they wouldn't be able to accommodate the manicure, only the pedicure. My bf had to wait 15 min before he was helped. Disappointing service all around. I will not be returning to this salon. Stay away...not worth the money spent. read more
