The service was extremely horrible. The tech was rude and kept asking me to do a deluxe service which I knew I didn't want. I clearly stated a regular spa pedicure no extras as I am not from Kauai and I have a regular nail tech back home on Oahu. I was just wanting to get my toes repainted while trying to kill time. She kept insisting I do the Deluxe and would talk in her language laughing saying she only wants spa, spa only, to the nail tech working next to us, whom didn't acknowledge her rudeness. Book in advance, they are super busy and have lots of requests for fancy artsy nails which can cause your appointment to go overtime as per your requests. I've gone to Holly many many times and she is the absolute best! Every reference picture I've ever given her she has done spot on. She is so gentle and patient and will always ask my opinion after each step before moving forward. I am outside barefoot a lot and when I have apologized about my feet she is soooo kind and has zero stress. She completely fixed a really painful ingrown toenail for me once. I have had multiple appointments with her where she stayed long after everyone else left in order to complete the sets with perfect execution. I've never gone to anyone else since finding her. They are busy so walk ins are tricky but as long as you book an appointment with Helen or Holly ahead of time, you are good! Worst Service Ever! I had a 4:00 appointment for a dip nail appointment and walked out at 5:30 only because I had to leave. I did not get dip nails but gel polish which is not what I wanted. I did not see any cleaned tools or new emery boards used, I never washed my hands and they didn't even trim my cuticles. Worse was that they didn't even offer me a choice in colors.... If you call to make an appointment, be assured they do not write your name in any book and you're basically going to be a walk-in like everyone else. $80 later it took me over an hour and half and I got some gel polish and an attitude from the technician that It wasn't her problem. I started consistently getting my nails done since October of last year just before I went on my trip to Washington. I've been obsessed with every gel x set. I usually see holly but if she's not available I see Helen. Both girls are extremely talented and my nails always come out looking so good. Had appointments for two gel pedicures and still had to wait 30 minutes. It was obvious that they didn't write our appointment down. Standards pedi is $35 and gel is $10 more but we were each charged $55. ( not $45). No explanation. Just cut nails, applied gel and light lotion applied at the end. No cuticles, no massage, nothing else. Wrong color was used and spilled polish in between toes. Total joke. Very dirty and not professional at all. If we hadn't needed polished we would have left. I needed a full mani/pedi and I have to say, this was the best I've had in a long while. I would not recommend this place to anyone on island or visiting; I went to them awhile ago and absolutely loved Hollys set she did on me. And I think I went again and it was okay but I didn't tip that much 1). Because I'm not rich and later when I'd try to book with her again she wouldn't answer or shrug me off. When I went in today they were so so rude and I was very polite and it was obvious they didn't want me as a customer and they not only asked who I usually go to but they gave rude comments about me just voicing what I wanted. So to be nice I said it's okay and didn't go through with the appointment. VERY disappointed and they've also given me a year or two ago now (ingrown) toe nails that I have fixed now from surgery thank god. I went there last week Thursday. The owner was not there. I felt so rushed the whole time. I was getting my pedicure done. They talked their dialect among each other, and not even paying attention to any of us customers that the people beside me they were kind of feeling the same way I was feeling, and they had to look on their face which was unpleasant as well. Then I went off to do my fill on my nails I was told to come in at five to have a specific nail tech. I went at five and the same lady that did my toast did my nails she was in a rush. She cut me with drill, pulling my hands. I could tell that she was in a rush then she put the color on and it wasn't to my liking so I asked her to remove the color. She went on doing every single nail and then I asked her I told you to take off the color because I didn't like it then she got upset with me because she had to remove the gel polish topping. Then went on to request another color and she rushed me so I just chose whatever shape of my nails is not even. At this point I was so pissed off and upset. My blood was boiling so I just paid and left and then called back to speak to the owner or get her cell number because she was not there and I know the family personally and I know this is not the kind of work they put out, they didn't want to talk to and I'm like no I would like to talk to her because this is the first time I've ever experienced this and if she was there, this never would happen. I usually get my pedicures done on the mainland and now I remember why. This location is convient and close to my home but notworth the money. I got a male for my pedicure. Did a horriable job. Didn't even pain my entire nail. I always leave a tip. I did again this time but it was not worth the $53 plus tip I spent on my gel pedicure. Luckily no one will be looking that close to toes but for the price they charge you should be getting quality results. I mentioned it and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about.
