We booked 6 people for a 9:30am appointment. It's for a bridal party. We chose this location because they said they could do us all at one time. When we arrived, the workers gave us attitude and said they need time to set-up, which was BS because all of their workers already had customers. Only 2 workers were available at our appointment time. Now 4 people in our group are waiting outside and it's going to take 3 times as long go get us all finished. read more

Went here due to having a gift certificate. I only get my nails done 1-2 times a year. I go to have a relaxing time . When it came time to pay the technician before he painted my finger nails, it was very confusing. I got a basic, non gel pedicure/manicure. This is what my gift certificate was for. He kept asking for cash beyond the gift certificate. I handed him my card and he kept saying no cash. Turns out, he was asking for a tip? I gave him a cash tip. I am so disgusted with this place. So unprofessional and rude! They took advantage and overcharged my 13 year old niece and made like we were at fault. She NEVER said she wanted gel. In fact she made sure she told him only a regular full set $45. He never communicated with her. Great local nail place st the Lihue mall behind Ross. The we able to take all three of us at the same time and had massage chairs for our pedicures. My daughter had Alex. He did a great job and did the best designs she has ever had. I had Lin. She did a great job cleaning me up and decorating my hands and feet. Will go again next time we are here. read more

Absolutely terrible. I was a walk-in. They did take me approximately when they quoted me for. About 20 min wait time. The girl who did my nails was very distracted with everything going on around her. So she kept taking breaks. So needless to say my nails did take longer then normal. I showed a specific picture in regards to what I wanted. A simple coffin shaped, ombré fade. Their sign says "full acrylic set-$35". So that's what I got. However, I ended up paying $62.50. Apparently getting coffin shape and acrylic fade cost $10 more each. As well as I specifically asked for NO GEL topcoat as I know they charge more for one, and second, I don't like how thick gel is and how on my nails it seems to turn yellow. So my nail tech insisted on gel top coat, one layer. More so pushed me to do it and said no to regular polish. And then charged me another $10. GEL TOP COAT does not equal gel nails. These nail places need to understand gel polish is not the same as gel nails. Unless you are free sculpting it is not gel. If you are going to up charge for every little thing, then at least communicate that as we are going along. Never once was I told this or this is more. Price-I've paid this at other places for having way better quality and design. And I understood what I was paying for before it was done. Quality- acrylic was way to thick and uneven. Shape was wrong and too square. I went home and filed them myself. Now it looks "better" Used to come here as a teenager, was home visiting. Quality and price not worth it. I'll give two because my toes do look decent . BUT they do not seem to be on top of cleanliness . I wish we would have just left but we already had been driving around forever to find a nail place and this was recommended by a local You can tell they don't autoclave their instruments and they use the same scrub stones on each person and nail files They do use plastic barriers for the tubs . Went to get a full set of acrylics done. The guy who did my nails did it so fast...it shows! I asked for coffin/ballerina shaped nails. He filed way too much, you can see my natural nail bed showing on the sides. On a few fingernails the acrylic is so thick and not evenly filed down!!! I'm so disappointed- never going back to get my nails done here. Will spend the money on someone who will take their time on each nail and make sure I leave happy. read more

Oh no! I didn't check the rating before coming here... Big mistake on my part. I'm actually here right now, it's that bad I'm yelping about it so other yelpers don't make the same mistake I did. First off we walked in, no one welcomed us, no one checked to see if we had an appointment (which we did). It took them about 10 minutes before we were approached. Into the $17 mani there were three woman talking in of course a different language. They would talk, laugh, then asked " you like pink" ( I picked pink for my nails... What do you think) I said only once a year... They kept talking about who knows what then asked "you have nose ring" well skinny lady I do! OBVIOUSLY!!!!!!! Moral of my review is if you decide to come here make sure you purchase Rosetta Stone and learn whatever language they speak and also just do your own nails. She was so careless she only put lotion on one foot, and no I'm not expecting a top of the line massage, but for $30 I expect something a little better than carelessly wiping lotion on my legs for a minute while you talk to your coworker. The owner and the staff were rude and yelled at their customers. I was overcharged for manicure and removing my acrylics. The manicurist was rough and did not do my manicure well. I had my hands soaked in acetone for few minutes and then warm water. The polish was applied badly and was leaking from my nails and she didn't clean it. She used a cheap lotion that smelled horrible and the cuticle oil was not even used. I was exploited for paying more and received a horrible service. Do not go there. read more

This salon is usually pretty decent, however I had Helen do my gel manicure today she told me it was $35 and then charged me $41.88! Helen is rude and aggressive and was pulling my hands around! She filed a few of my nails crooked, and when I asked her to make them straight she glared at me and said I needed to tell her earlier but I didn't notice it earlier! She was visibly irritated with me and became very aggressive with the way she was grabbing my hands and fingers! She started painting the color on my nails and did not paint my entire nail she missed a good portion next to my cuticle as if the polish had been there for more than a weeks worth of growth!! When I asked if she could paint my entire nail she stood up and simply walked away! Some other manicurist came and finished my nails! The second lady did not speak to me gave me a very short hand massage and skipped putting oil on my cuticles once the manicure was over! When I went to the front to pay Wendy the manager basically made excuses for her employees rude and unprofessional behavior! She didn't even really apologize! Like everyone else said, I should've checked the Yelp reviews before deciding to come here for my pedicure. It was a terrible experience and I will not be coming back again. The nail tech I got wasn't talkative. I had a better conversation with the manicurist that was helping the customer next to me. He wasn't even finishing up or with a customer when I walked in. He was just sitting at his table doing nothing, but was rushing through my pedicure. During the time he was soaking and cutting my nails, he put lotion and cuticle oil on one foot but not the other. I'm not the type of person that'll tell someone how to do their job, but this was ridiculous. The quality of the paint job was very poor. He even nail polish on my skin. For this type of paint job, I could've saved myself $28 and painted my toenails myself. He asked me if I wanted to get a manicure too while I was here. Uh, no thanks buddy. Not after this stellar pedicure you gave me. The upside to this place is that it's clean, but definitely not worth coming back. I was in need of a fill and I thought I would give this place a try. When I came, my nails were long and coffin shape. When I left, my nails were short and square shape..? I was really confused. I even told the guy doing my nails I wanted coffin and to them keep long and still ended up with square and extremely short compared to what they were. The overall finish was lumpy, crooked, and some nails were longer than the nails on the other hand. $45 for nails even I could have done better on. My mom and I had a good experience here. Since it was the closest nail salon to us, we thought to give it a try. Lynn was my manicurist and she was extremely patient and understanding to my many indecisions! She was great about me switching colors and shaping my nails to my liking! Her attention to detail is phenomenal! She takes the time to make your nails look and feel great! I recommend her for sure! It's been almost 2 weeks since getting them and they are smooth, no chip on the tips, and though my nails are longer you can't tell the color has grown out! Dirtiest salon I've ever been in. Didn't shape any of my nails evenly, glued my nails to my skin, and made me bleed using the dremel. My manicure was 60 dollars, I gave 80 and they almost didn't give me any change back! I never leave reviews, but to assume a 33% tip on a poorly done manicure was the tip of the iceberg for me. My experiences there have been ver hit or miss. It's very inconsistent. I usually go for acrylic sets and gel polish. I've gotten nice sets and other times really thick and just really sloppy looking sets. I went yesterday and that's exactly what I got. The nail tech didn't even push back my cuticles. Acrylic sets and gel polish usually takes 1-1.5 hours and he took 40 minutes to get it done. If you're planning to get acrylics done then this place is probably not for you. read more

for years I was going to Professionail in Kukui Grove, for the most part the service was decent. I guess you could say I was a regular customer, came in once a month every month. The last time I went in to get a pedicure I was told "sorry we are busy" even though no one was sitting in the pedicure chairs, the salon was actually pretty empty. Just the workers sippin' on their Starbucks. I thought to myself "okay, maybe they are busy?" I went to get a coffee and not 10 minutes later when I walk past the salon again I hear the "you don't have pedicure appointment? It's okay just sign in". Rude right? Unreal. When I moved home after college I went to Professionail every month for 2 years. Do the math, $40 pedicure every month for 24 months. In the last year they've been messing up big time. They hang up on me when I call, give me attitude when I didn't tip with cash, how's that?? Give me attitude when I charge the tip on my card, the workers at Professionail actually told me "don't you have cash to tip me? I prefer cash tip" and when I say sorry no cash they roll their eyes?? BYE FELICIA Also I think that Professionail is using watered down products, if you know what I mean. Went in for a manicure 3 hours before my Hawaiian Airlines interview, left the salon like "okay my French manicure looks alright, little crooked but oh well", get to the interview look at my nails, top coat and white paint already coming off! Literally I could peel the paint right off my nail. Went back and showed them what happened the same day and the response I got was "that's not our fault, maybe you wash your hand too fast". Went for a pedicure and it's sad to say it's the worse one I had. One of my toes still hurt 3 days later because she dug under it. She was so rough in cutting my nails. And now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if I get an infection. I didn't see anyone there sanitize their tools. As for their quality of service, it varies depending on who you get. One lady gave a really good foot massage to my friend vs the lady who helped me only lightly rubbed my feet. Not likely to go back to this place.
