    La Parrillada for Two

Checked out Pooler's newest Mexican restaurant and there were a few hits and misses. The esthetic of the restaurant is bright, clean, and very trendy. We arrived around 8:15pm so the dinner rush was over. A couple came in right behind us and sat at the bar and there was only one other table in use while we were there. I saw a few people come in to pickup carry-out orders. The service was lacking greatly. The staff was friendly but it was hard to keep refills for drinks and chips. The queso was delicious, chips were thin and crispy, and the salsa had some spice to it. The Chicken Chimichangas with a side of rice and refried beans was delicious. Would definitely order again. The Texas Fajitas we ordered without the vegetables. The meat was overcooked to the point of charred and only came with approximately 3 quarter sized shrimp - a bit of a disappointment. The Barbecue Fajitas said that it was cooked in a "house barbecue sauce" but was very reminiscent of Sweet Baby Rays. Very tasty! La Parrillada for Two had good seasoning, beef heavy, and fell short with shrimp as well. The kids Cheese Quesadilla - home run!!! One comment from the kids were that the beans were hot, as in temperature. They said that they had never had refried beans that were at a hot temperature!!! With that, the food was served quickly and was hot. We were celebrating so decided to order the Churros and the Flan. The menu stated that the churros were filled with caramel but there was definitely a strawberry filling as well. Still good but unexpected. The flan was a good and standard Mexican flan. I would definitely return. Portions were great! Flavor was there. Just need more shrimp and more attentive service.

I tried Cocina's recently for my birthday after seeing people post about the viral frozen margarita. Unfortunately, the machine was down so I wasn't able to try it. Instantly as we walked in it took a while to be seated, even though they weren't super busy. When we sat down we had to request the table to be cleaned up as it was still dirty. Overtime it got busy and you could notice they were very short staffed, as our waitress was acting as hostess and waitress. Overall the food and drinks were decent, they just need more staff and the experience could have been better.

WOW!!!! I'm still dreaming about my lunch I had here. I had no idea this was over here until I saw them on Instagram and saw their frozen drinks and I knew I had to try it! The location is kinda hidden I was confused when I saw their Starbucks but they are in the middle. The staff is so warm and welcoming I couldn't stop smiling they were telling jokes and making sure you were welcomed. I felt so bad since I spilled my drink and they immediately came and cleaned it up and I kept saying "I'm so sorry" and even offered me a job when I took the rag to clean up my mess. The manager who waited on me was so nice and helped me pick my lunch. He got me a flight of the frozen drinks so I could try them all. Man! The frozen drinks were AMAZING! They definitely have alcohol in them but the flavors of each one was so different and so fresh and refreshing! I also had the blueberry drink out of the cute purse (which of course came home with me) for lunch the manager recommended a special item that's not even on the menu yet but will be. He said it's " quesadilla tacos" it was absolutely delicious there isn't enough words for me to describe how amazing everything was here and I can't wait to come back and try more items!

Feeling a bit under the weather and tried the chicken soup. You have options of mild, medium or spicy. I went with medium and the broth was really good. There was a nice ambiance and pretty interior.

Food was ok. The complimentary chips were good. The tacos were okay. I ordered a mojito and margarita. Those were good. I like everything but the prices. $72 for 6 tacos and 3 drinks.

Today Jordan, the kids, his parents and I went to celebrate Jordan's birthday at Cocina Mexican Restaurant and we all had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. I got the Texas Fajitas, Jordan's parents shared the Parrillada for two, Olivia had the quesadilla, and Joel ordered fajitas with chorizo. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and served in great portions. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated and the Mexican music playing in the background created a fun and welcoming atmosphere. It made the whole birthday celebration feel even more special. Definitely a great spot for family dinners and celebrations!

Absolutely fantastic! The spicy chicken bowl was the best I've ever had and my friend's Arroz Texano was perfect!

This is a pretty big restaurant with a full dining side and then another side with a full bar. They have plenty of TVs in at the time they weren't playing NFL, but they were very flexible and immediately changed the channel to one of the main games. I was in the mood for a Michelada and sometimes even at Mexican restaurants it can be hard to find a quality version. However, this turned out to be a really good Michelada. Served in a major mug with a salted rim and a great mix of Tabasco bloody Mary and fresh limes, and oranges. In addition to a Mexican candied straw to stir it with. This was by far my favorite item of the night, even though I really enjoyed my food as well. I ordered the queso dip with cheese and salsa, and I also ordered a ceviche with mixed seafood. The ceviche was really fresh well proportioned and pretty good. I would've preferred a bit more lime juice, but this was still a great first bite. And yes, the sauce is legit here and the cheese dip was good as well. Chips are fresh and they keep them coming so definitely a spot. I will probably be watching more football at.

The young lady by name of Delaney was nothing but short, cold, impersonal and not very informative of the restaurant and menu. It was our first time. We came on a Wednesday, which happened to be a great day to come. It's $1 wing day on Wednesday. Great value for your $$. We ordered a few diffrent flavors which included Korean, Garlic parm, and BBQ. All were very good. They are served with celery and carrots. Your choice of Ranch or Blue cheese. We made the mistake by ordering cocktails. They were more like a shot. Very small glasses. They have a good variety and selection of beers on draft. I would recommend going for a beer, plus it taste better with the wings. Lastly, the ambeionce. It was very casual, like a sports bar restaurant vibe. Big screen TV's, a bar that wrapped around, and a nice size outdoor patio. I would come back on a Wed. during happy hour. In hopes that we would getting better service.
