This was our first time here, and we were pleasantly surprised by the laid-back atmosphere and authentic Mexican restaurant vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The food was also amazing, with perfectly seasoned dishes that left us craving more. We will definitely be back.

emails On my adventures in Hinesville I stumbled across a wonderful Mexican restaurant that will transform you to Mexico City! The food is outstanding and drinks to match, whether on a quick lunch break or a date night El Mezcal will not disappoint you Mexican food needs!

The take-out chimichanga. No veggies, no mushroom, WAY SMALLER, no steak, ground beef instead
Ying M.

I usually eat in and get the beef chimichanga el mezcal and I love it but today I decided to order take-out instead and got this chimichanga... no mushrooms, veggies or even actual steak inside. WAY SMALLER THAN SITTING AND EATING. I attached a photo of when I eat in versus the take out I received today. I already dislike that I wanted 6 tacos, a meal is $15 for 3 tacos (includes side dishes). To order 6 tacos I have to order two meal orders so $30 for 6 tacos and an extra side dish I don't need. I'm from Los Angeles and lived in Vegas. Never in my life have I spent $30 on 6 little street tacos. Street tacos are small, I don't get why you need to order an extra meal with side dishes just to get 3 extra tacos. The tacos also came with NO SALSA, NO LIME, and the total price for all of it was $70. I got it for my mom and she said they were dry. Drinks also have no pricing? I asked the waitress and she seemed bothered but said it was $13-$16. I ordered a drink, I don't drink often but I don't know if there was even alcohol in it. It just tasted like a way too sweet strawberry smoothie. I loved eating at this place but this take-out order is extremely disappointing.

She was super friendly and gave us great service. I highly recommend her as your waitress if you go here. We started with the Washington Apple shot, which was amazing. We also had the Spirits and Giggle and a Southern Old-Fashioned. The bartender was on point with all the drinks. For food, we had the fish and chips and the barbecue brisket burger with truffle fries. The food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. We'll definitely be back and hopefully get Bri as our waitress again.

This spot is appropriately named because they have a large array of beer choices here! You'll find a full bar, and wine, too. The server explained they have trivia nights, First responder nights, live entertainment and more. Check their website for special events or special discounts. Flat screen T.V.s line the perimeter of the restaurant featuring a variety of sporting events telling me this is the spot to come to when wanting to watch a major event and dine out, too. The "New" addition of Smash Burgers Sliders sounded good with American cheese, caramelized onions, special sauce with a side of their house sauce. I enjoyed every bite, and their made in house chips are crisp, deliciously seasoned and fabulous! I look forward to returning for great service and great food!

I think I sampled everyone's, and most were really good. *Place had a cool vibe What could of been better: *This almost ruined the visit. Walk in and the hostess, young lady looked at us and mumbled. We explained how many people we had 5 with one more joining us. Just stared at us and looked confused. Said we could sit at the bar. The place was mostly empty. Asked again about seating and she seemed lost. A member of party asked if we could sit there, and pointed and the hostess states " I guess so" it was the weirdest interaction I have ever had with a hostess. She seemed lost. We were debating whether we should even stay. Overall we enjoyed the visit once we got past the door. Will give them another chance

Ambiance is prohibition bar vibes so a little more rustic and casual. I was a bit annoyed by the hostess. We had a reservation for our party of 6 and arrived about 15 minutes early. I asked if we could grab drinks at the bar and she kept coming up with excuses on why we couldn't stand or sit in certain areas. Finally, I just asked her to come up with a solution because we had 15 minutes to kill and they didn't have a waiting area. Funny enough, she decided then to get our table ready. It was just odd. Our server was from Ukraine so she was efficient and fast. Not super friendly or chatty with us which missed the mark on Southern hospitality and made our experience feel cold compared to our previous dinner experiences in town. I don't fault her for it though as she did her job. We ordered an excessive amount of starters and some of the entrees. The stand outs for me was the crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted bone marrow, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. Skip any of the bread options. They weren't even toasted. For entrees, we also decided to share them. The pork chop and NY strip were stand outs. We ended up sending back the halibut. It tasted mealy and freeze burnt. Skip the crispy Japanese eggplant. I was expecting a grilled dish and it was actually fried with a thick batter. Too heavy for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but not somewhere I am dying to go back to.

What a beautiful picturesque place to have some bites and cocktails!…read more I was welcomed into this moody, velvety spot with a sweeping view of the river. Beautiful glass, marble, deep colors of navy, mauve, and gold. Service was wonderful, felt welcomed immediately. For my appetizer, I had the crab cake with homemade tartar sauce, which was a light, bright way to start the evening. For my entree, I had the filet mignon. The server will tell you, the menu says tapas, but the servings are larger than that. Meat portions are generous at 6 oz. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium and got closer to well done. At least the steak was still moist and not dried out, but I would be hesitant to do the steak again. The spinach risotto I had with it was creamy and cheesy, however, so that was nice. Other options for food include burrata, a charcuterie board, grilled shrimp, sea bass, salmon, scallops. The cocktails are the real star here. They fall under the categories "strong and adventurous," light fare," and "signature." Non-alcoholic cocktails are also available. I started with the medusa 1597, under "strong and adventurous." Made with Old Tom Gin, extra dry vermouth, truffle, grapefruit, and amaro, it was extremely strong. A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks. This place seems creative enough that the outcome would be fantastic. I loved this place. The vibe, the view, the service, the offerings. Can't wait to see what more they have in store.
