Loved my strawberry shortcake sundae! Yum! $6.99 / small (this is a small!!) Nice place to sit outside with tables and service was friendly and fast. Lots of choices for the whole family! A must stop for ice cream this summer.

After our Howe Cavern tour, we came to Cobleskill Diner for brunch. We ordered the Two Farm Fresh Eggs Sausage (one with links and the other with patties) with home fries ($11.99 each). Portion size was good and the eggs were indeed large. Overall decent breakfast. Our waitress was welcoming and friendly.

After exploring Howe Caverns, we were looking for "real" food where we could sit and relax instead of a fast food grab and go option. Based on the Yelp reviews, we decided to try this cozy hometown diner. It did not disappoint! Our waitress was welcoming & friendly. She answered all questions and offered suggestions based on what we were in the mood for. I went with the Mac Attack Burger and my sister chose the Reuben. Both were served with French Fries. Once they hit the table they both looked so good we decided on halvsies so we could get a taste of each! Delicious!!! We were so full that we passed on dessert. However, on our way out we passed other customers receiving their desserts that we just had to have a taste. Luckily, they also offer their desserts off the side of the restaurant. My sister could not resist - lol. She ordered a squirt ice cream cone! Yes, it's exactly what is sounds like--just a squirt of ice cream that will satisfy you, especially after having a very filling meal.

The main dining area

The Cobleskill Diner is an iconic location in the town of Cobleskill. I have always had a high opinion of it. Today, when looking for a diner to get breakfast at, we decided to head over. My opinion has since changed quite a bit. Our waitress is not particularly friendly, and we sat for 45 minutes at a diner before receiving our food. She also did not come to check on us or ask how our food was the entire meal. I mean we are literally sitting here waiting to get a chance to ask for our check as I am writing this. It has been at least 10 minutes since we finished eating. When it did come out the sausage gravy and biscuits were already cold. The food was good but not spectacular and not worth the wait or price compared to other places. The environment is nice and I enjoy the many jokes that decorate the walls, but I am very disappointed with the experience especially considering that it is far more expensive than the other diner we eat at.

Would I recommend eating here? I'm not sure. The food wasn't terrible, but wasn't anything to write home about. We went mainly for the ginormous ice cream cone, which was definitely worth the trip.

Extraordinary restaurant. From the beginning, Cobleskill diner had a laid-back, chill vibe. We walked in and a server in the back gestured for us to sit at a booth in the back, and there we sat. We first ordered the fried pickles and tossed salad. The salad was small, but well presented and proportioned. Good amount for one person. The fried pickles were irresistible, lightly fried so they were buttery but still had plenty of pickle flavor as well. For meals, we had the Angry Ray burger (ordered to split, arrived on two separate plates ) and the Smokey Gobbler sandwich. The burger was juicey incredibly flavorful. The most sincere chipotle flavoring I've ever had at a restaurant, with plenty of kick, well-topped with jalapeños. The sandwich was lighter in flavor, but even more crave-able. Everything was cooked to perfection, the fries especially. The french fries were homecut, and tasted such. But they were fried masterfully, achieving a texture that was simultaneously crunchy and soft. The ice cream is all soft serve (8 flavors I believe) but was served generously on both the cookie and brownie sundaes. Lastly, our waiter was very friendly, chatting with us about the menu items and overall extremely helpful. Food came out much faster than expected. Really couldn't say anything negative about this place, the first stop on our road trip did not disappoint!

Friendly and attentive staff. I had lunch with my mother here. A BLT and a cup of broccoli soup for me, with a side of fries. Mom had the ham salad with onion rings and broccoli soup as well. She had had half the sandwich for dinner as it was a generous portion.

Water and apple juice

I was in the mood for some pancakes for breakfast and this was the only diner in Cobleskill. They had a good selection of breakfast foods and you could choose between maple syrup or regular. The food was good but I've had better elsewhere. The diners old fashion and the servers were nice. It's convenient for those who live here but I'm not quite sure if I would recommend it.

Amazing burger at Cobleskill Diner!

Best omelet ever! Fresh, plentiful ingredients; good service. Would rate 5 star if it weren't for a pesky fly.

I tried one of the new $14 salads--no protein, just lettuce, a few veggies, and a so-called "homemade" Italian dressing. I genuinely enjoyed the dressing and asked for the recipe three times out of curiosity. On the third time, I was told she wouldn't share it--but would be willing to sell it to me. That response rubbed me the wrong way. In today's economy, that kind of cold and transactional reply from a small business I've supported feels off-putting and greedy. On top of that, I tried a "tiramisu cookie" that had no coffee flavor, no mascarpone, nothing that even remotely resembled tiramisu. It tasted like a plain sugar cookie, and honestly, it felt like false advertising. If you're going to market something as tiramisu, it should at least reflect the flavors of what you're promising. Between that and the secretive dressing situation, I can't help but question whether the dressing is even homemade--or if it's just bottled and marked up. These experiences have made me lose trust in the brand and what it claims to represent. I won't be returning.

We arrived and just the right time because once we were sat the wait began! I highly recommend getting there early. We came for breakfast and were sat promptly. The staff are hyper aware of their table's needs and it's so refreshing. We ordered a breakfast meal (eggs bacon and potatoes), and two brekky sandwiches. Just an FYI the sandwiches are ENORMOUS, so I recommend sharing if you're not that hungry. Coffee was great quality. The restaurant itself is tiny, but makes for an intimate experience. Don't forget to grab a delicious homemade pastry when you leave! They had fresh baked goods consistently being restocked while we were eating--the smell was to DIE for.

We ordered from the spring menu spring scramble $20 and strawberries and cream French toast $20 and famous flakey biscuit $7. I'll start by saying the biscuit is a YES, absolutely LOVED and a must get!!! They also serve with marmalade jam which was a favorite. The spring scramble was normal as you'd expect which is good but nothing wow. The French toast was pretty popular and now with seasonal strawberries i had high hopes but it was a big no for my group. It was overly sweet, practically drenched with a cinnamon flavoring that made the toast soggy and not tasting like bread anymore. Thankfully the strawberries were good but besides that, we couldn't even finish half of it and didn't bother to take it home. They even gave syrup on the side like no way would anyone add even more sugar on top of it. I wished I had a warning that it would be overly sweet in cinnamon flavoring beforehand because it didn't look like that in the pictures I saw. When paying, you have to bring your receipt to the front counter and lucky for us, after waiting awhile for our check, the was a huge line ~10 people of people paying for bakery and cafe which was really quite an unexpected mess at the end. Overall still a great experience but improvements needed.
