We went for dinner this week and were so impressed that we wrote the owner a message of thanks. We had reservations at a different restaurant downtown later in the night and had planned to just stop in for a drink but the service was so excellent and the food looked so good that we cancelled our other reservation and stayed. We loved it! The food was excellent, the staff is incredibly nice, the atmosphere is cute and welcoming. We will be back for sure! read more

Wine pouring was small and high priced. The menu selection is very limited although it covers most of the food groups. Chef salad was not good and should never have lettuce that is black. This is a turnoff immediately as it means the kitchen is not paying attention to detail. My wife said her hamburger was good, my scallops were acceptable but nothing more. Service was spotty and not very attentive. Server did not realize the salad was not eaten and did not ask why. I would chalk this off to being new but I don't think that is the answer. Management was aloof and did not appear to interact with people that were paying to keep his place open. Probably will not be back, time will tell. read more

Good food and atmosphere- until after paying the manager approaches our table and rudely tells us that they have an hour and a half wait up front and they are trying to "turn tables". You're busy and need the table? Fine- please learn to inform your customers in a much less rude and sudden way. We could not see the front of the restaurant from our table and had no idea how busy it was, and our server never mentioned needing the table in any way. My friends and I were embarrassed and as paying customers were forced to do a walk of shame out of the restaurant for something that was not our fault and should have been handled way better. First, have been there a few times and NEVER a bad meal or even a marginal meal. Every meal has been an actual taste explosion. They take common food and take it up at least 3 levels. My goodness. I was there yesterday and ordered nachos to start. Thinking I was going to get run of the mill nachos that can also be gotten at a local pub. I could not have been more wrong. The chef(s) took this ordinary appetizer and made it "cheffy" and amazingly delicious. We eat with our eyes first and the presentation gave you no choice but to dive in. I am age 55 and have at least 40+ years of nacho eating. Have never eaten nachos as amazing as what I was served. Simply, the food and specialty drinks are amazing. Do yourself a great favor, get ye to Cobblestone. Don't walk...run. You will not regret it. Oh yeah. They offer valet parking with service from a very personable attendant. Cobblestone does right by you from the parking lot, through great service, amazing food, and bid you farewell from the valet attendant. What a special experience in the heart of Webster. Stopped in this past Saturday evening for a quick dinner. Sat at the beautiful exceptionally clean bar and ate our food there. The service was prompt and personable. Crab cakes were excellent. My husband's French onion soup was very flavorful. The food highlight were the shrimp tacos!! Shrimp were huge, crispy & scrumptious. The space is appointed nicely and all employees were thankful for our patronage. We will definitely be back. Thank you! read more

I have eaten here prior to today and was very happy with the meal and service. Today was a different story. Went to lunch with a group of childhood friends and we picked Cobblestone on Main. My mouth was watering for the NE Clam Chowder which I had boasted was the best I ever had. 3 of us ordered it and One ordered French onion. Soup was lukewarm at best. Told the waitress who said she could understand the chowder but the French onion had to be hot. She just took it out. All of us had tried it. Definitely not hot. The service went downhill from there. The waitress was snarky and sarcastic. When one of my friends pointed out that she had an attitude, she denied it and as she walked away said "oh yes, the customers always right". She said we couldn't take the soup home since she did not have a to go container for it. Never asked if we needed refills, if there was anything she could do, nothing. I would have thought the manager/owner might have stopped by to check on things, but that did not happen. Overall, a bad experience. read more

By far one of the best local restaurants we have been to in a long time! We went during the busiest times of the week and with a large group of people and still their staff's attentiveness and service was impeccable and truly second to none in this area!!! Staff was super friendly, outgoing, helpful, and extremely attentive. Their drink specials are incredible!! Very inventive and fun!! Delicious! The place is absolutely beautiful inside. We went during the winter, so we can't wait to try it during the summer with their outdoor area. And the food!!!! Absolutely incredible!!!! Truly a remarkable place to go and have a great time!! Our first time at Cobblestone and it was a mixed experience. We went the takeout route which required that we order at the bar and wait. Our order included the appetizer Tomahawk Wings which were huge and delicious. Enough for a meal. Also we had the pretzel appetizer which was too much even for 2 people. Also excellent. The Black Bean burger was nicely prepared and the French fries with it were pretty common. The negative was the Cubano sandwich, made with brisket and this is was very disappointing. About 50% of hard fat and the toasted oil glazed bun was so wet it dripped with the oil (or was it grease?) it was not very appetizing and thus more than half was left untouched. It was a cardiac risk! So disappointed that we may never return even though we live 5 minutes from there. We hoped our New Year's Eve dinner would be memorable and it definitely fell short. read more

So I want to preface this review with the fact that I have been waiting 9 months to do anything in person. I have been pregnant and waiting to be able to do anything again, my husband has been doing all the grocery shopping, errands, take out pick ups and I have just gone to work and dropped/picked up my daughter from daycare. Coming here was the first restaurant I had ate at in person for 9 months and it was a letdown. I had seen this menu posted before they opened and saw their fb posts and was excited to get to eat here but don't let that fool you. If you go to a fancy restaurant you expect to wait, but we ordered burgers (not fancy restaurant food) because the rest of the menu was unavailable and still had to wait like it was a fancy 5 star restaurant. We set up babysitting and I rearranged my not even 2 week old sons feeding schedule for a burger I could have made at home and a ridiculously long wait. There were plenty of empty tables and parking spots so the place was not packed, the kitchen was just not running smoothly. I understand it's hard to find employees right now but they had 4 hostesses.... why? Take the pay for 2 of those hostesses and get another kitchen employee. There was nothing about this place that made me want to give them a second chance. Listen to the bad reviews, timing is not their strong suit nor is ordering the proper amount of food. Fries were not cooked nor were they shaken in the deep fryer cause they were all stuck together. Burger was suppose to be medium but it was well done, I was starving due to the long wait and didn't want to wait another 50 mins for a burger so I ate it without complaint. read more

We visited Cobblestone on Main for the second time on a Monday evening. We had out of town guests and had been very impressed at our first visit. The 2 rating for this visit is being generous. An hour to be seated, hour + to get food and hour to eat, complain get check talk to manager , pay and leave . Yup 3 +hrs 6-9:15. Once the food arrived the salmon was wry small and so over cooked it had no taste, brisket had grease soaked through the bottom bun that it was a mess. The steak was supposed to be cooked medium and was well done and dry. The crab cake was compared to a potato pancake. One of the worst food experiences we have ever had. The waitress kept apologizing and said Several other customers were complaining also. They did comp our entire food order, leaving a drink bill of over $80 . As good as the first experience was, it will take a miracle for us to want to go back. We were embarrassed to put our guests through such a night. I will say our waitress was patient, apologetic, kind and professional. The first visit that was not the case. read more

Had lunch with my wife about noon today. The place is good looking, clean and friendly. Seated immediately. Drinks ordered and brought right out. The food was excellent (wife had shrimp tacos, I had a great burger!!). Was very please with this place and will certainly come again!. read more

The food was not great, the waitress made an excuse for everything that wasn't right with our food. She acted as if we were bothering her. They did nothing for the birthday we were celebrating. We had a great experience at Cobblestone and went back for a second visit. The first time, 2 of the 4 of us had ordered the brisket sandwich and raved about it. So, on our second visit [we recommended it to friends] 2 of us ordered the brisket sandwich. My brisket sandwich was disgusting. It was so fatty, you could hardly bite through it. So disappointed. BTW, I also sent a note to the restaurant and they did not have the courtesy to reply. Not too sure I'd return and certainly not recommend it. read more

Great location, good service and food ok. For pricing would like to see higher quality ingredients. Ordered the tacos for an appetizer- not bad but disappointing they are served on flour tortillas. Being back in Rochester after so many years away is heartwarming. Just found Cobblestone on Main a few weeks ago and I am blown away. I come from many years of casual and fine dining restaurant management and this spot is perfect on every level. Host's professionalism, server knowledge and skill, CLEANLINESS OF THE RESTAURANT, food quality and presentation are top notch. The apps I've tried in my 3 visits were unreal. Same with the entrees. The layers of flavor in each dish are masterfully done and presentation is beautiful. The dirty martinis are dynamite by the way. I have had many a ribeye served to me over the years and ALWAYS got a fatty, grisly piece of overpriced blah. Well I ordered the ribeye here and it was a generous, mouthwatering portion of steak. Grilled to perfection with 2 small bits of crispy fat ( crispy and yummy..... not grisly!). Flavor was fantastic with perfect seasoning and not at all salty. Atmosphere is so cool and relaxing. I visited Cobblestone on Main for the first time on March 11 for lunch. I was very impressed that there were not 1, but 2 vegan choices on the menu ! I appreciate going to places with my non-vegan friends and being able to enjoy a delicious meal. I will start by saying that our server Alyssa was amazing - not just to us but to all the patrons! The beer and wine selection was very good and a very tasty Bloody Mary too. The food is made from scratch on site and you can tell the difference. The crab roll was fresh and full of crab and just enough spicy and the Cubano sandwich was Amazing!!!! Don't do carry out and won't let you in without a mask, as I stand there watching every person standing at the bar laughing with bare faces. Visited last week on a Wednesday night. We were seated quickly and our waitress took our drink order quickly. However, the wait for our drinks was almost a half hour. My glass of wine was pretty small for the price. We ordered our meals and I ordered the black bean and sweet potato burger that was the veggie option on the menu. There weren't a lot of choices for a vegetarian. I should've known when she asked me how I wanted it cooked that she didn't understand so I mentioned again that I wanted the Black Bean burger. Our meals finally came (again, a long wait) and my burger was not a veggie burger. I ate it anyway because I'm not completely against eating an occasional burger and by then I was really hungry. When I mentioned to our waitress that it was not a black bean and sweet potato burger, she said it was. Okay, I'm not going to argue so we paid our bill, which also took a long time to get, and left. When I looked at the check it said B and B burger, which IS NOT what I ordered. The waitress mentioned that she was new but she should still know the difference between menu items. We might try it again but I guess I should be really specific when I order!! read more
