They are doing breakfast starting at 6am. We have been here twice this week. They do delicious creamy grits the way grits are supposed to be done and that is with no milk. Cooks that do delicious grits this way really know what they are doing and it shows in everything else. Prices are great as well. The breakfast menu is limited right now but once breakfast here catches on I am sure it will expand. read more

I so wanted to enjoy a dinner from Coach's Corner. Savannah's "Best of 2021" lauded the chicken wings so we got wings, onion rings and the Green Monster salad. I really enjoyed the salad but the wings and rings were horrible. The onion rings tasted like they had been left to sit for hours under a heat lamp, with the batter soaking up any moisture. The wings were dry and chewy; we ordered ten but threw away eight of them. The Green Monster salad earned the two points I gave the restaurant; without the salad, I would be hard-pressed to give a one. There are lots of other places in Savannah to get great wings and rings...go there; not here. read more

This place is TERRIBLE!!! Came here on a sunday evening. I ordered HOT DOGS.... freakin hot dogs and they took more than 30 mins to get to my table. Another person in the group ordered a french dip and a cheese steak was delivered. The 3rd person ordered a pizza that came out cold. All in all a totally terrible experience. We had thee Worst Service Ever at Coaches Corner, Thunderbolt, GA! Three of us were seat received our salads but had to to flag the waiter down to get utensils, the three of us recieved our order but there was HAIR in the third persons order. He sent it back, the waiter even ackowleged that was "nasty", two of us ate our wings and an exactly 50 minutes later the third person still had not received a replacement order! When we went up to the bar to close out our bill minus the third order and asked to speak to the manager about the third person not receiving his order the bartender was sarcastic in trying to at least offer him water. The bartender claimed that the waiter was the manager. Maybe both the unprofessional bartender who clearly has no other skills and the manager need to find a new profession because quality customer service is not there expertise! The bartender also threatend to call the police on us after we expressed our lack of quality service as we were already at the door leaving. I politely informed her that I am a rertired police officer and can distinquish the difference between professionals and non professionals (in the absence of a more decent descriptive definition of someone like her)! And to add insult to injury it did not have to get out of hand had she minded her own business to serving watered down drinks because none of this had anything to do with her, and could have easily been resolved with the alleged manager!! So the take away is to make sure there is no HAIR in your food and if it is don't bring it to the managers attention or the ratched bartender will intervene when she has no clue as to what had transpired!!! read more

The weekend I came to Savannah, UFC was on. I may be a chick but I love me some MMA. Just something about two men trying to beat the tar out of each other in little sexy shorts that gets a girl's adrenaline going. We went on the UFC website and searched all these different places and couldn't find anywhere in Savannah that had the UFC that night. Coach's was the only spot that we could find, so it won by default. This place reminded me a lot of Beef O' Bradys. I don't know if ya'll in Savannah know what that is, but that's a place near me. It's a touch divey but I mean that with the most love and respect that I possibly can, cause I can get down with a good dive bar. They have lots of TV's so you know whatever sport or event you want to watch, they'll have it on at least one of the tubes. They had a decent selection of beers. The night we were there they had a special on buckets, so anything that saves me a little money gets a high five. The fried pickles were the highlight of my night, my trip and my overall life. The rest of the food was awesome too. Only downside I can think of is that there was a cover to get in. I just hate covers for the sheer principle of it. You already know I'm going to be here for the next 3 hours to watch this event and I'm going to be eating and drinking a ton, so really?! Was that necessary? Hmm... I know, I know. There ARE people that go and don't order anything, so I understand why but that still doesn't make me on board. Down with cover charges. read more

It's pretty good. Service is slow, but TVs are ample. Wings are average (no dry rubs) and worth a pit stop, but nothing grand. I don't recommend getting any of the Moscow Mules. Stick to beer and mediocre wings. read more

Very typical bar food experience and ambience. The service is slow as every reviewer has stated in their review so wasn't really expecting everything to be fast. The food was pretty good. Very standard selection of items and even had a few vegetarian options which is cool to see. Prices were a little higher than I was expecting but it's walking distance to my home so an easy stop for dinner. read more

Over 30 minutes just to be acknowledged by a server, 30 more min for her to take our order, dirty silverware and when we politely asked for new silverware, she argued with us that it wasn't dirty. I have loved the food from this establishment for years, but I have never experienced this level of poor customer service from ANY restaurant. I have been going to Coach's for years along with my family and friends. Tonight my husband went in to get take out for me. I am currently 6 months pregnant and had been craving there wings. Which is why we had gone multiple times in the last week alone.When he initially arrived they informed him it'd be an hour to get the food. He step outside to make a call and check it was still wanted. When my husband went back in he was told he couldnt be served to-go food on weekends. When he asked to sit at the bar and order he was again told no. He spoke with the manager and explained he was trying to get the food for his pregnant wife. The manger refused saying if he did not sit down and start drinking he would not be served. He stated he and I were uncomfortable suggesting his 6 month pregnant wife come and sit at a bar where people were smoking inside of the building a few seats down. Others at the bar even began to offer to order the food or give up there seat so he could get the order. The manager again refused and asked him to leave. Now I hate to be petty but having him call and explain why he couldn't fill that craving is not something any husband wants to do. As far as I'm concerned they lost a loyal customer and I'll be spreading this incident along to my friends and family. Think twice about coming here if they aren't willing to help a guy feed his pregnant wife because it might mean he doesn't get charged for beer. NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!!! read more

Horrible place w horrible employees! Been there 3 times and all 3 times was charged for things I didn't order! Check your bill, people. Last Sat when I pointed out the extra charge, for the third time, the waitress was rude, confrontational, & loud. The new boy server was caught in the middle & he became rude too. I told him not to let these women turn him into a rude, mean person. We don't forget. Rather than apologize & take care of it, they took the mediocre wings off and told me "never to come back"-which I had already decided that I would never to come back to this dive. When I opted not to tip (service was slow & terrible & I had to literally ask for everything!), the loud rude woman yelled how I didn't tip the young man. 3 strikes & they're out! Started visiting Savannah 6 years ago or more. My son lives in Savannah. Every time he would bring me there. Especially football season. It was great. Great food and atmosphere. Well anyway moved here 1 and half year ago. My daughter and her husband came down to visit from PA in June. Showed a few sites. We were minutes from coaches. I told them great sports bar and let's have lunch. Not very busy. Bar was full. So we sat at a high rise table 6 feet from the bar. The servers were hanging around the bar bullshitting we customers. AND a few walked by us and didn't give us a second look. So 15 minutes later, in full view of servers and bartenders, we got up and walked out. I recently moved here from New York and wanted to get out; asked someone at the gas station where I can go watch the game on Sunday and they mentioned this place. As soon as I walked in the door I felt welcomed. The bartender name is "Jake" he was very personable. Asked my name and even shook my hand afterwards. Drink prices are reasonable and the establishment has many t.v's and a huge outside back area with a stage and heater lamps. I will definitely be returning! read more

For a nice draft beer some friendly faces and welcoming staff, my fiance and I have Coachs corner as our go to spot. It's very close to where we live and you will find more locals here. I've been here many times and the food and drinks are always up to par. My favorite thing to get here are the wings!! They are absolutely the best I've had, If I'm craving wings and a cold draft Coach's Corner will always be the spot for me. Along with the wings, they also have other really great menu items along with daily lunch specials that aren't on the regular dinner menu. We visit Coach's Corner at least once a week. Wings are delicious (get the Hot BBQ or Honey Mustard BBQ) as are their sandwiches, pizzas and salads. Beer is cheap and cold. It's a locals bar in the best sense of the term. Major kudos for always turning on hockey for my hockey obsessed husband. TVs at (almost) every table are a definite perk! First of all, I have to respond to two one-star reviews posted earlier... First, in response to a review posted earlier complaining about being it being noisy....well, DUH!!!......its a sports bar for crying out loud...We were there on mid-afternoon Thursday and it WAS NOT noisy..... You gotta expect that if you go here from Friday evenings through Sunday evening during FOOTBALL time....i would be disappointed if those watching the games weren't getting "into" them..... Now, as to the review complaining about the TV's being on the Georgia and Alabama game......REALLY???...this is the heart of Dixie sweetheart and UGA and GSC and other local football games are required watching!!!.... I hate to say it but if you wanted to watch the Cornhuskers or Sooners or whomever instead.....well, SORRY!!!......there's alot of other places with TVs who wouldn't care what mess you asked them to put on it... NOW.....as to my review...here it goes...I went in there with my lady friend...neither of us drank alcohol despite their being plenty for sale.....and this is NOT a dive bar with a bunch of drunks...there were white collar businessmen and their were blue collar workers, all busy eating and talking.....This is NOT one of those artsy-fartsy bars like you find downtown with all their frufruey (is that a word??) hype and inflated prices.... As to our waitress...Tara....very attentive and quick on the draw.,..our drinks arrived in a flash...and out food arrive hot off the grill.....she ordered the Chicken Wings...flavored Texas Pete and b utter...and she said they were the perfect combination of kick and full of meat.....takeher word, folks, this woman is a wing fanatic... I ordered the Grand Slam burger...a mega-meat masterpiece if i don't mind saying so myself....topped with a thick slice of fresh tomato and a good ring of onion and fresh lettuce...it sat in between two bun halves. What makes that special is neither did the bun get soggy and gross as the burger was eaten...as happens on other restaurant buns more often than i care to say.....and the twin burger patties did NOT disappear into all the toppings for they were truly two bun-sized and then some fresh patties....which were also cooked to perfection....and not either raw or burned beyond belief... SOOO....We will be going back, as im sure there are other things i am looking forward to trying...and my lady friend is already asking for more of their wings....this meal WAS a true pleasure... read more

If you are looking for a place to watch your team play, while have a beer, and eating some wings this is your place. Local sports bar with TV's everywhere. If you sit in a both you have your own TV for what ever game you like. During football season you better get here early on a Saturday or Sunday because this place gets packed. During the week they have a daily lunch special that are usually not regular menu items, fried pork chops, spaghetti, bbq chicken, with all the fixins. The menu food is your typical bar food such as wings, nachos, burgers, chicken fingers, sliders, and pizza. Wings are one of my favorite foods on earth and this place makes some good one. They have several different flavors but my go to are the Texas Pete and Butter. The other thing I really enjoy is there fish sandwich which they do an excellent job at. They staff here is all ways nice and the regulars treat you like anyone else. They do a great job of bringing in good bands for those into that. If you are a Georgia Southern Fan and cant make an away game this is a great place to watch the game. They usually do a great job making us fell welcome. read more
