I love this store - but not to shop, to people watch. I like to cruise in here with my Orange Julius in hand and watch tourists go crazy for Coach! If you go in here on a weekend you will see ladies buying 10+ items at a time. Seriously, check out the check out line and you will see that many customers have mesh bags full of Coach products. No exaggeration. I've even seen plenty of pushing and shoving in the back of the store where the sale stuff is. Store hoarding is common too - that is where ladies grab stuff in a panic, walk around the store with armfuls and then later decide what they want and what they'll "let" others have. Despite the crazies that shop here the staff all seems normal. They are helpful and attentive. I have bought my fair share of stuff here over the years but I'm usually searching for retail store items that have landed here. I personally don't care too much for the made-for-factory stuff because it lacks detail and style. (Most of what you find here is the generic made-for-factory stuff.) Like the rest of the outlet center, if I am coming here to shop I am sure to come at off peak times to avoid the craziness I described above. read more

I have shopped here for years and years I get afriad to go in dince I always say I am not buying anything I like to look. Met Cindy the Manager she was so helpful and gave me a lot of history on my new bag. I did not think it was leather but it is leather and gand painted. The hand bag is a very rare style as Coach does not do too many hand bags with a lot of other add ons. I loved my little Yoshimi, when she told me how much the hand vag was I almost had a heart attack as the outlet does not carry this price range. I fell so in love with it and I knew I wanted it, I told Yosh I wouls think about it then vome back Sun.....I knew I was not going to leave w/o that bag! After the majority of my vacation has become either a toy hunting spree or brewery hopping, I'm glad I had the chance to at least get some shopping in after a long day from Legoland. I told myself that if I don't get some shopping in, I'm about to get real ugly with a bad attitude. So off to the outlets we went. Carlsbad Premium Outlets bring lots of nostalgic memories for me, for this is the mall I would spend my countless paychecks to shop till I dropped. Carlsbad Premium Outlets is located on Paseo Del Norte and has many entrances. To find the two parking areas near Coach, enter through from Paseo Del Norte Drive and park in front of Barneys New York or park on Gap Outlet side. While I was in the market for a new bag, I tried to deny going into Coach because I wanted a different brand. But the surrounding stores either didn't have the design I wanted or customer service was poor. So I went back to Coach. Coach is located mid-center of the courtyard across from Dooney & Bourke and immediately next to Oakley Vault. I don't remember Coach looking this huge before I left Carlsbad however, their large clean vicinity is overwhelming and organized according to style, semi most recent designs and sales items are more towards the back of the unit. Chen was kind to approach me upon walking into the store and gave me a tour of the vicinity and if I needed any help, to ask for her. The mesmerizing trinkets from key chains to breathtaking jewelries, scarves, shoes, hats and patent leather handbags made it all the while to touch, try on and appreciate. What I love about the brand is I never have to walk out with a brand new bag that smells so much like leather. While I took my time to peruse the eclectic designs, another associate name Christy took the time during her break to help me as well, chat and took interest in anything about Hawaii. Coach continues to surprise me each visit. I've only had great experiences here since the beginning of time. I think it's the biggest reason why I've stayed faithful to them for many years. Kazuko helped me with my check out and chatted a while about the changes in the outlets. It's nice to know that Coach remained opened throughout the years and continued to service people with greatness despite of anything at this location. I am a fan, hands down. I admit it. My mom raised a purse fanatic. Despite the crazy lines and the crowds that start Thanksgiving Day and lasts all the way up to the first week of January, this location is surprisingly up to par. I have been to other Coach outlet stores and none can hold a candle to this one. They brought in so much business that they had to expand to a shop next door. Trust me, it was much needed. If people are complaining about the crowds now; imagine how it was 3 years ago. Regardless of the season, the employees I have encountered have been attentive and friendly. Honestly, one of the best service experiences around. The Coach Outlet is worth the drive. We came here to do a return from their online store and it was accepted without ridiculous questions. The return was processed in a timely manner. I was in and out of the place within minutes. The hours are posted on the Carlsbad Outlet website but you can always call the store to verify. They do have special hours throughout the year depending on the holiday season so you should take that into consideration as well. I like to go when they open to avoid the crowds and find parking. By the time we left, the parking lot was a zoo. It's a good thing we arrived early! read more

While in Carlsbad.... we HAD to stop at the Coach Store. But while browsing the store fronts, I noticed a Dooney store as well. And right across the way, was The Coach Store. Which one first.... it was a dilemma... it was to me. One glance over at the Dooney store and there was not one person in the store. The lights were on... but nobody was home. The deals are pretty amazing in this store. Many of the bags are half price and on the day I came in, one of the store clerks handed me an additional 20% off coupon on my purchase. Simply radical! Mind you, the purses are probably not the latest and greatest and are a few seasons old, but who cares?! I am not really a fashion whore, but I did want to kick things up a notch in my life and purchase my first big girl bag. The thing that set this place apart from other stores I visited a few weekends ago was the GREAT customer service. I am not kidding. Everyone was personable and attentive without being overbearing. They checked in every now and then and were willing to help when help was needed. I think this aspect is important in high-end label shops and it really is what sets them apart from department stores. We all know that the product and quality is great so this is obviously on the customer service. I know that champagne won't be flowing and I'd be handed a glass as I walk in, but I expected better service from this company even though it's the outlet. I came in the day before Easter and made a large purchaser for several people for Easter Sunday. As always, the Coach Outlet is packed, women looking for the perfect purse for the perfect price. I made my purchase, happy I got a good deal and was able to find something for everyone on my list. I return home and find out that one of the wallets I bought was missing. Because it was already late and the store was closed, I had to contact them the following day to confirm if they had forgotten to include a wallet. I'm bothered of this and call it a day, I can't do anything. I call right when they open, 11AM due to the holiday. I'm transferred to Ashley, a manager, and she asks me for my transaction number, register number, date and time to check with the security cameras and find out that the associate did forget to put it in my bag. I have a piece of mind that it's their fault, not mine, but seriously inconvenienced that I have to drive 30 minutes out to pick it up on Easter Sunday. Mind you, I was to give these gifts during brunch. I make the long drive to the outlet and parking was a major pain, worse than usual weekends. I find a space after 20 minutes of playing the waiting/don't you dare snatch that parking space or I'm going to cut you game and walk into the store. By this time, I'm pissed off. I ask for Ashley politely and she gets my wallet for me. No apology, no nothing. She was too preoccupied to even provide an extension of empathy. That was the icing on the cake. So again, I have higher expectations of you Coach, since you provide quality products. I'm extremely disappointed that the staff you have for this location was not a good reflection of your name and mind you, the manager Ashley. Please ensure that customer service is taught properly and that it goes a long way. I love coach products, but I had a terrible experience at Carlsbad Coach Outlet Store. The customer service in that store is worse than bad. On my way back from LA to SD yesterday, around 4-5pm, I stopped by the coach outlet store to buy a few gifts for my family. While I was checking out, a woman stopped the cashier's work and very unfriendly asked me (or force me) to present my receipt in the morning. I told her that you must take me as somebody else, because I never shopped at that store that morning. I have actually NOT been in that place for the last 3-4 years, but she insisted "It is you! It is you! Show me your receipt! Otherwise, you can't buy anything from here". She took the bags I was going to buy to the inner desk. I was astonished and actually frightened by what was happening. Even if she allowed the cashier to accept my payment and let me checked out later, she never gave me any explanation on why she treated me, an ordinary customer, with hostility. I feel humiliated by the whole thing. I am a well educated professional. I have a very warm, loving and trusting personality. I have never been treated like this all my life. I went back to the store and talked to the manager about what happened. The manager did say sorry, but I wish I could know why this happened to me and at least an apologize from that woman. I have been sick by this incidence. I am writing this to let customers paying some attention when shopping in this store, and also I hope coach can eliminate this kind of thing happen again. On any given weekend, this place is packed with shoppers. Especially this time of the year. We went this past weekend to get a kick start on our holiday shopping and it was already buzzing with frenetic holiday shoppers. This is expected since this is located in the Carlsbad outlet stores. It seems every time we come here, they have an associate at the entrance handing out 30% coupons off of already discounted merchandise. I'm certainly NOT complaining because this coupon really comes in handy. Once we selected our items, we noticed that the line was snaking through the store but we were pleasantly surprised that the cashiers got us through quickly. It's nice to have an outlet mall so close by, usually they're all in random far out areas in the desert lol. Every time I've come to this coach location, the staff is pretty friendly and always lets me know about the great deals going on in the store. This past weekend they were having an additional 50% off everything in store plus if it was on clearance it was also an extra 40% off. I mean how could anyone resist that deal. I went in there to purchase a gift for a friend and ended up walking out with something for myself and another gift for someone else as well. I purchased a coach wristlet, and two Mickey Mouse luggage tags for only $50. Each of these items originally costing over $50 when they were newly released. Overall, I would recommend this coach location, they also have a men's coach outlet across the way from the women's one. The only thing is that the outlet mall itself does get very busy on the weekends, making it hard to park. So I recommend coming in the morning versus afternoon to avoid the car craziness. read more

I didn't find anything I wanted at the Coach outlet, but I would definitely check it out again. The prices are very good, and the day I went in a lot of the merchandise was an additional 40% off. Needless to say, this is a very popular store! The selection is pretty limited, and not all the items were actually in retail stores. Some are manufactured solely for the outlet, but if you ask a salesperson, she'll tell you which ones are Coach overstock and which ones are outlet products. This many not be important to everyone, and I'm sure the outlet quality is good, but for some reason I feel like I would want a Coach handbag that I know was sold in the regular Coach store, and that I'm just getting a really good deal on something that's past season. I'm sure if I lived closer I would check this place out all the time. Maybe I'll have to revise my rating if I someday find a purse to buy here. read more

Coach leather goods for at least 20% off the MSRP??? Do I really need to say anymore? Ok ... The staff is very helpful and friendly, even though they look at me funny every time I walk in there (I guess I'd look at myself funny too if I was in there as much as I am). The selection is so-so, depends on when you plan your raid (a couple of the employees have shared with me that they get shipments on Wednesday's and put them out that night and ready at opening on Thursday). At times, this place can be a madhouse, and believe me, you dont want to be in the middle of a moshpit of torrid women swarming in a savvy satchel sale. You may not find exactly what you're looking for in here, but there's plenty of options to be found, and who knows, maybe you will find your unicorn at this Coach Store. read more

They usually have a coupon they pass out at the door for an additional 20-30% off your purchase. You can stack this with any of the items in the back that are already 50% off. That's how you get the best deal. Example: $400 bag, marked down to $380, $190 after 50% off, $133 after 30% off. This is why you see tons of international travelers (mostly Asians) buying 5+ bags to sell or gift. The selection isn't as good as before I believe. The store had a lot of great merchandise when I visited this week. Much of it on a great discount too. The part of my shopping experience that was annoying was dealing the overly helpful sales people. "Overly helpful?" Yes, its a euphemism. When I am in a store for 20 minutes and I am approached 6 times by sales people its overkill. After the first couple of approaches I know you are there, if I have a question, I will find you. I know that Coach isn't the top of the line purse, however the ones I have had over the years all held up pretty well. I've been jonesing for a deal, this place had it today. They were having 50% everything plus take extra 10% off. Then at the clearance section, it was all 70% off. SCORE!!! I walked out with 3 items for $275. THAT my Yelp friends is a smoking deal!!! (4 stars is for price and selection) The employees can be all over you, but that's not the negative. It's the crazy broads elbowing you as they claw there way over the top of anyone who's in their way. WTF? I didn't realize shopping the Coach Clearance was a full contact sport, but I guess that's what happens when people find deals. To the lady who LITERALLY attempted to rip a bag out of my hands as she was screaming she wanted my purse, just remember this: Santa's watching!!!! :) (and so is Karma so ya better up your game of common courtesy and manners for the long road ahead) Lastly, I would recommend that you come in here as a first stop or without any bags. I personally don't like the Coach brand, but I have to give credit when it's due. I was at the outlet right around the New Year (It must've been a day or two after NYD), and I noticed that pretty much EVERYBODY was carrying a Coach shopping bag. There were also a lot of men sitting on the benches with the Coach bags next to their feet (no doubt, their wives' purchases, hahaha). I pointed it out to the bf, who asked if I was finally going to break down and enter a Coach store. I said no. Two hours later, I just couldn't ignore all the Coach shopping bags in everybody's hands (I mean, even the girl at the GUESS store handed me one of the 20% off coupons b/c they were picking the coupons off the floor). I finally caved and went into the store. It was INSANE!! It was the world's biggest shopping nightmare: people everywhere, hands grabbing everything, shelves emptying at lightning speed... I've never seen a sale like this before! I couldn't believe there were actual empty shelves in the store. I have to admit that the outlet does provide really good discounted prices with a wide variety of products. It's one of the few outlet stores that stays true to the "outlet" concept (lately, the outlet isn't the outlet any more... prices just aren't as cheap as they used to be!) I walked by the outlet store two days ago, and again, the store looked pretty full. Coach shopping bags weren't as frequent around the outlet, but no doubt the store was offering products at awesome prices! I'd highly recommend this outlet to the Coach lover. read more

This place was packed on a normal Saturday... Right when you enter, a worker is handing out 30% off everything coupons. My GF purchased a bag stickered at $125 for $60 after taxes. Others were buying 5 bags at a time. Not the highest brand name, but you can actually get a steal if you come during a good promotion period. Coach outlet is a nice place to shop however be aware when returning items and not having the original receipt or the cc you used to pay for your leather goods, you will be deducted what ever the sale they have going on even tho it was not what you paid for, make sure you get receipts sent to you via email, this time around they offered me that option but did not asked or I Thought of looking through my emails for the items returned,as much as my bad as the representative that helped me for not asking me for emailed receipts, I've purchased many leather goods and after this experience I believe my relationship with Coach of New York has come to a stop or until they have a sale I just can't pass up on lol just wish they would not make me feel like I have to jump through ropes to exchange something specially if I'm their bread and butter & wish they wouldn't nickel and dime me with 10% off just because they had a sale! We came here on a Tuesday to walk around and spend some time as a family enjoying the fresh air, and had no intention of going into many stores, least of all this one. I'm not big on Coach, or designers purses, or any purses for that matter. I'm not entirely sure how we even ended up wandering in here, but we did and it turned out to be a positive experience. I think I expected to be attacked, Jerome's furniture style the second we walked in, but that didn't happen at all. A friendly employee approached us and gave us a slip of paper that said we could get an additional 50% oof any purchase. We walked through and I looked at a couple of things, but nothing really caught my eye. My husband ended up seeing a bag sitting on a random table that happened to be my favorite color, and didn't have anything flashy on it, and wasn't covered in the Coach logo or tassels and fringe. While I was looking inside to check out the space and pockets, a different employee came up to us and said that everything on that table was 35% off and then the 50% would also apply. The original price was $398, and after the 2 discounts and tax we paid $140. Not a bad deal, and everybody was very friendly and polite and not the least bit pushy. So while I can't say I will become a regular of this store, I might be more willing to go in and look around vs. walking right by it as I have always done. read more

Awesome place. totally awesome workers here. I came here with my mom and my cousin about two weeks ago, and I must have walked in and out of that store about three or four times and honestly, the greeter at the door must have said "hi, welcome to coach" and "bye, have a nice day" about seven times to me when I was leaving walking in, leaving, walking in, and then leaving again. they have pretty awesome sales here. I bought myself a small little bi-fold men's wallet for about $13 dollars. My mom and my cousin found some pretty awesome things in the 30-50% off section for my aunts and other people back home in Taiwan. They are currently remodeling and I think expanding their store, so it is cool to come by and check out their store when they are done. it might also be good to stop by now, and see if they have anything on sale!!! read more

Hands down, best service you can get at any retail/outlet store. Came here a few weeks ago with a cousin visiting from out of the country, we were handed a coupon that said 20% total purchase and 30% off entire purchase of more than $250. Well a few days before this we spent $600 over at the outlet in Ontario and only got 20% off. This time we spent only $400 and was happy about getting 30% off. When we got to the cashier the sales associate, I believe her name is Cheryl, asked if we had a good day seeing how happy we were, we said yes, because we saved a lot on this trip to Coach outlet compared to the same outlet in Ontario. She asked us why, we said we purchased over $600 n we got 20% off, 30% is such a greater deal. She then proceeded to tell us that it was odd we didnt get 30% off our previous purchase, and if we still had the reciept, we showed her, and within 3 minutes, she gave us money back! YES MONEY BACK!!!! She rang up our purchase we made at another store, and gave us 30% off, so giving us $62 dollars back!!! We didnt even ask for this! Truly amazing service here! I have a crap load of Coach bags that I have given away or they are stuck somewhere in my closet collecting dust. You can't beat the 50% off deal! I've been in search for a small affordable cross body black bag and I found 2! Well one from Kate spade and another from Coach. It's a good everyday bag that I found at Coach and I am happy with my purchase. I kind of want the brown one but I need to avoid anymore shopping at all costs! This is a great store. Spacious, clean, and stocked. I went to this location this past weekend to check out their goods. Since it was the holiday weekend, they were offering a 50% coupon (though, they probably do this every weekend). The store was packed near the back since that is where they put most of their new arrivals as well as where the sale section is. I found the black leather backpack, I had been eyeing on the Outlet website for 40% + 50% off. A STEAL. My mother also got herself the backpack in the burgundy color. I saw that a lot of their leather goods were coming straight from the retail stores and not a separate item made specifically for the outlet itself. This is something I was glad to see since the outlet item qualities is usually subpar compared to their Coach stores. read more

If you like coach, come here as you can get great prices. The salespeople aren't the best. The layout is good. They showcase the bags in a good way. That said. It's Coach. It seems like everyone has coach these days, and yes, it's still classy, somewhat well designed, and the leather is of decent quality ... though eh. That's how I feel about Coach these days. I'm tired of seeing that repeating "C" all over everything. Some bags are classier, the selection on Rodeo is really nice, though of course, if you're going to spend hundreds on a coach bag, why not save up a tiny bit more for something that will really last you for awhile. Something that you can invest in and it'll last you for many, many years from college to being a professional. Ladies .... ah. Coach as a brand currently just isn't really what you want to be buying. Sorry. The repeating "C" pattern is tacky. I got a purse for a great deal. The best part about this store is they have an "express lane" for the checkout process. Horrible return/exchange policy! My boyfriend had ordered me a Coach backpack for Christmas, which didn't come until well after Christmas even though he paid extra for one-day shipping. Anyways... I didn't love the backpack, so he said we could take it back together. Long story short they supposedly have a "30 day return policy" even for Christmas items & would do absolutely NOTHING for me. It was barely over the 30 days and I just wanted an exchange, no money back. The backpack was still in the packaging it came in, all tags on, barely even touched & of course we had the receipt. I think it's sad when Forever 21 has better customer service and accommodations. Will never shop here again. read more
