This dealer is has extreme highs and lows. Here's the deal: This was one of two dealers in the entire state of California that had the car I was looking for. I called and spoke to Chase. He is not only a great salesman, but is super transparent, honest and straightforward. Negotiations took maybe 20 minutes. He told the best he could do up front and it was a hell of a deal. It took longer for him to collect my information than it did to haggle on the price. In all honesty, it wasn't necessary to haggle. Get this. Chase works Monday through Saturday. His only day off is Sunday. The only day I could come in was, go figure, Sunday. Chase still took the time to come in just to meet me. No other reason. Chase is a good dude. If I didn't live so far away, I would invite him over for a drink. Super good dude. On the other side of the coin, the finance manager is a polar opposite of Chase. Since finance and sales are different departments, once the sale is worked out, they have to send you over to finance, so Chase and I had to part company here. The finance manager was not only over an hour late to work (I had an appointment...), but he started out by lying to me. Great way to build trust. After calling him out and deciding to (foolishly) give him another chance, he lied to me again. Since now he lost all credibility I began asking for proof to substantiate all of his statements. He began refusing. Now I knew he was hiding something and still not being honest. It took us almost walking out on a deal we had pre-arranged and drove 3 hours to get, bit we also ended up calling another dealer to tell the guy he was full of sh*t for him to change his tune. Long story short, if you're coming to this dealer, call and specifically ask for Chase. If he's off that day, call back later when he's working. DO NOT deal with anyone else. Lastly, the finance manager is awful and is probably costing this dealership business because of his business practices. Do not trust him with anything he says. Demand documentation to support anything he says. If he says he can't show you, he's, yet again, lying. He showed me. All in all, Chase: 6 stars! To preface this review, we are all currently dealing with the covid-19 situation, HOWEVER Clovis CA had not shut down dealerships and there were plenty of people on the lot looking at cars: I went to look at the 2020 Ram's and Jeep Gladiators, I had done some research online and decided that I would be interested in purchasing one of them, depending on how I liked driving them. I test drove a ram and had a very helpful and knowledgeable salesman. After we drove the Ram I told the salesman i'd like to test drive a Gladiator sport as that was the one I was more leaning towards, but I had mentioned that it would be a quick test drive as I had to head to work in about an hour and would potentially buy in a week or two depending on what kind of deal the dealership was offering. We waited outside the dealership and the salesman came out and informed us that his manager had asked him "which car we were buying today." and when told that we were just looking today and potentially buying in a week or two the manager "yelled" at him and told him they were not offering test drives unless you were buying the vehicle. I thanked the salesman for his time but had to contain a laugh, as I can't imagine any dealer in there right mind expecting someone to make a $40,000 purchase without even test driving it to know what to expect. This is the final straw with this dealer, I had a similar situation pre-pandemic and as a potential customer I will not be treated like that. Selma Auto Mall let me test drive a Gladiator with no pressure besides getting me numbers (surprising as they are usually the worst), and I made a deal with a different Jeep dealership out of town that was 1. better priced and 2. way friendlier. I really hope this review makes it to that managers desk, as you not only missed a sale but all future services for my Jeep. I went to Clovis Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep simply to look at the Dodge Charger with my cousin because he wanted to show it to me. The moment I stepped out of my car I was asked if I needed help and I declined stating "I just want to look at the cars" The salesmen ignored me entirely and proceeded to follow my cousin and I as we walked towards the Charger, he proceeded to ask me which car I wanted and if I was "going to buy today." Eventually he told me that he wanted to help me because his manager would be up set if no one was helping me, so I told him if that happened I would gladly tell is manager that he offered to help me. Almost immediately after he walked away another salesmen by the name of Curt Dedek came over and asked if I was being helped and I told him that I was and pointed out the salesmen who finally left me alone. He said "Well he clearly can't be helping you if he is over there and you are over here." At this point I was already quite upset that the sales staff wouldn't let me just look at a car in peace, Curt followed me around for about 5-10 minutes constantly asking me what it would take for me to buy today, even though I told him I was "only looking!" I told Curt that I had see enough of the car for today. I don't know why that would not just let me look at the car on my own for a few minutes, but what i do know is that I will never return to Clovis Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep as it was the worst car dealership experience I have ever had. Advised them I didn't have a ride and had to work that night. Got me a shuttle home told me to call to get a ride back. Called them at 4:50. Car was done but couldn't provide a shuttle. Communicating accurate information to a customer is important. This customer had to scramble a ride at the last minute to try and get my car out and get to work. Accurate communication would have enabled me to schedule a different day or a different way to get there. While in Fresno visiting my sister and her family, I found out that my husband and son leased Jeeps back in New York! This news came to me as a complete surprise since we were not in the market for a new car. I went to Clovis Jeep to see the two new Jeeps. I hope this helps someone not to make the same mistake my husband and I have. We went to Clovis Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to purchase a pre owned ( used truck). Our sales person was amazing and very nice . We test drove a used Chevy and on the test drive the check engine light came on. So no that one we did not want. So we test drove a 2014 Dodge 1500 and my husband was in love. The finance people bent over backwards to make sure we can purchase this auto. Now the nightmare began...... Only six weeks of owning this vehicle and only putting on 1200 miles the check engine light came on and the airbag light. We took it to the dealerships service department and they made us an appointment to have them look at it ( 1/5/18). Now they stated it needs a new ESIM module and a purge solenoid, also a Left seat Squib wiring and reset. They said it would cost us 540.00. So I explained that I am still under there 3 month 3,000 mile warranty and they said yes. The Dealer pays 10% and you pay the rest. I truly believe they reset the computer on our vehicle and did not do the 125 point inspection. They said they do not do that. But it is funny how they did not do any of the repairs that day they discovered these issues but when I left that my check engine light or air bag light was not on. I asked why and he said because they reset them. Now if they would do this without making the repairs that day what makes you think that they would not do it any other time. I do not trust them any longer and I had purchased a 2241.00 life time oil package at the of the purchase of our vehicle. So not trusting them I asked for a refund of this service and they stated there is no cancellations of this service. I phoned and talked to Northstar that provided the service and they said yes it can be cancelled and you have to have the Dealership initiate it. So I called Clovis Dodge and asked to talk to the finance manager and they connected me to Tom. I told Tom I wanted to cancel this service and he stated I can not and if I did I will have to pay sales tax on this. ( now in my purchase contract is shows I already did pay sales tax on this) so this is another lie. Tom said let me talk to the owner and I will call you right back. Tom called back and had me on speaker phone and said the owner said he will not sign any refund form for us. I am absolutely APPALLED by the lack of courtesy, professionalism, and communication the service department at this dealership has shown me. As a young adult who is has purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership in less than a year, you would expect that the dealerships service department would communicate and put their best foot forward when helping myself (the customer), and even if I hadn't purchased my vehicle from them, it would be fair to presume that I would be treated with common decency considering I am a customer of any sort. Not only was I treated with an appalling amount of disrespect on account of (what I am assuming) being 19 years old and seen as someone who they can push around, I was also treated as if I knew absolutely nothing. This complaint is here because this is not my first quarrel with the service department, my first incident with the truck was equally appalling and ended with me leaving the dealership with a master set of keys for the wheel locks because the dealerships service department blew me off for almost a week on getting my own set so I could change my flat without having to damage the hub. This recent incident is however, downright foolish. My vehicle had 5,446 miles on the odometer when it was brought into the service department, approximately 3500-4000 of these miles have been in dirt and gravel as I am a contractor for the California high speed rail. As I was driving down the road the day after Christmas, the vehicle stuck itself in fourth gear and the check engine light appeared. Now obviously I'm not going to continue driving and ignore what could be a major problem, so I made the grave mistake of going to my nearest service station which would be the Clovis Service station, and I parked my vehicle, explained the problem and they sent a staff member from service to check the codes. The image below shows the codes that popped up. Most of these problems were internal transmission problems, I was told that I would have to leave my -work- vehicle at Dodge for at least a week before they could even have their technician look at the vehicle, I was provided with no rental for this week as well as no courtesy vehicle of any kind. I checked in every couple of days to see if there had been any progress, but rarely got a response. Eventually when I did get a response, I was informed that the service manager called for an inspector from Dodge itself without consulting or informing me of any progress or action being taken regarding MY vehicle. Not only this, but the service manager also took it upon himself to go through the interior of my vehicle despite having no reason for doing so as well as not informing me of such action, and take pictures of personal items inside of the vehicle such as receipts for parking on a camping trip, among other things. Eventually I was told that by 4:30 PM I would know whether or not I would be receiving a rental vehicle that day. However I was flat out lied to regarding this statement. Every time I called or texted I was greeted with no response, or was told that he (Colid) was currently either in a meeting or on lunch. So I gave them 24 hours after the original 4:30 to contact me, which they did not. I went to the dealership and was informed to my great displeasure that they already had received their answer. I was told by the service department that my vehicle had been abused and would not be covered. This may be a plausible argument for a vehicle with 50,000+ miles. MAYBE. However my vehicle had less than 5,500. I was given reasons why this was determined, among these reasons were the dirt under my vehicle, the muffler delete, The part of my bumper where I removed the park sensors, None of which have an effect on the transmission. Not to mention the service department noticed that the bolt holding in the manufacturers suspension appeared to be only hand tightened down. I remembered them telling me this yesterday and took a second to see if they fixed it and was ASTONISHED to find that they let me drive off the lot, KNOWING this was loose, and doing absolutely NOTHING to fix it. It would have taken 5 seconds and a ratchet but instead of that they let me drive off the property with my vehicle in unsafe condition. read more

Do not take your jeep in for service there. Spent $1700 to have my air conditioner fixed. Three weeks later it was out and the service said it would be another $800 plus to repair the 'new' issue. I argue that I would be paying for repeat labor, having my AC charge yet again as well as radiator flushed and filled again. After the a 20 minute conference between the service manager and the service rep, of which I was not included, they said they would take off the labor and just charge for parts but would still be way over $600. I looked up the part they needed and I can get it for $135. It is about $40 to recharge the AC and $15 to refill the radiator. Where is the other $400+ in cost. Find yourself an independent mechanic and save yourself money and headaches. Worst service department I have encountered. read more

I had my Pacifica towed there. I had a failure on the road. I told the consultant that the shop that replaced the original battery indicated there was a defect in the battery housing. He told me he'd have to charge me for the replacement battery that the back up battery would have to be replaced no charge. That didn't seem right since it was well within warranty, but I agreed. They had the van a week. When I went to pick it up...sorry, there's a defect in the housing. We don't have the part. I had a business trip so again I rented a car. When I returned I got a $600 bill. They claimed the housing had be tampered with. All together with missed work, rental car expense, and the bill that with much cajoling on my part they did reduce to $400 plus, I'm out over $1500 bucks. don't go near this place. read more

Had a small oil leak. There started to be a 5 inch round oil spot when I used truck. Never leaked oil before. 2009 Ram. Thinking we'll take it Clovis Dodge dealer had repair insurance so go to a dealership find what it was for sure. My opinion rear main. I was told they would charge me 150.00to ckeck it out. My wife and I waited to hear what they found. Next thing Armen shows up said they believed the leak is coming from that area. Said ok lets make an apointment. Armen said we allready called your insurance company. And the said they would cover it. Great lets make an apointment. No! he said you take your truck it will cause a problem they will not fix it. Now my wife and I are stranded 30 miles from home Had to rent a car to get home. Thanks Clovis Delearship.. 10 days later and 1350 $ got truck. After a few days now a 2 foot circle of oil. Back it goes again. 24 days in total thats great service. Fix a problem and they coused a bigger problem now another 1500$. I hope it doesn't leak. I really don't want to deal with this dealership. Customer service extremely bad 35 days or so in time but they took 24 days out of that to fix with a short break of a few days between. Don't waste your time! Go to the Jeep dealership in Fresno. If you do find yourself at this dealership, stay away from Chris. My mom and I just went to look, and left three hours later after being coerced into negotiating a car and having my credit ran. Chris met me and my mother in the parking lot, and was very pushy about test driving a car. This is after I told him we were just looking, and didn't want to talk to anyone. Every time I showed the slightest bit of interest in a vehicle, Chris would run inside to get the keys and pull that car out. I finally saw a vehicle that I immediately fell in love with. It was a little more expensive than what I had planned to purchase, but I wanted it. We went inside and began the long horrible negotiation process. I've spent a lot of time in dealerships watching my father, so I know how this works. Chris immediately insisted on pulling a credit report. When my mother stated that we were just talking and didn't want to run a credit check, Chis got an attitude and insisted that this is how he does his job. We told him to hold on the credit check so we could talk first. He then insisted on doing an estimate on my car that I drove there, because, apparently, credit companies don't like to finance two cars for one person. Keep in mind, this man had no idea what my credit score was, or what type of income I made. The only thing he knew about me was that I'm young and black. He came back after doing the estimate and stated that they would be willing to pay my 2015 Rogue completely off if I purchased a car that day. I thought, well, that's not what I was expecting to do, but seems like a good deal to me. Keep in mind, he said nothing about negative equity and how that would be handled. He brought the credit application with him and insisted that I complete this so they can start the negotiation process. Against my better judgement, I completed it, and then he disappeared. Another, young attractive Latin guy, who I will refer to as Dreamy Dealer came out to show me what they found on my credit report. Not bad! He gave no explanation of what had happened to Chris, but sat down and said that he would be helping me. I didn't mind, I liked his attitude much better than Chris's and he was much more pleasant to look at. We started negotiating. He brought out the terms of the agreement and to my surprise, the negative equity of my car was on there. This is why I wasn't planning on trading my car in, in the first place! He also brought me a paper showing that my payments would be $100+ than what I had said I wanted to pay. He also asked for my proof of income and residency. Wait a minute, I never agreed to anything! Why would they want my proof of income if we weren't signing a loan. I almost feel like they asked for this because they didn't believe I made the amount of money I stated I made on my application. Dreamy brought out the first offer and there was no interest rate, or price of the vehicle. I asked him for this information, and he goes back to the secret financing man cave to get it. He comes back with another offer, but not the information I asked for. I send Dreamy Dealer back to the finance cave to get an interest rate and vehicle price. Still no sign of Chris. Dreamy finally comes back a third time with the numbers I requested. He tells me some outrageous APR and tried to sell me the vehicle at sticker price. I've bought a few cars in my lifetime and know that you NEVER pay sticker price. I tell him to give me something better and send him back. This happens a few times and I tell Dreamy, I don't think we're going to reach an agreement that we both would be good with. So, I get ready to leave. Dreamy insists that they can make something work for me. After about an hour of going back and forth, we finally come out with a vehicle price, and APR that I am willing to sign paperwork for. I'm sitting at the table waiting for dreamy to return with the paperwork and who comes out of the finance cave? None other than Chris! He says we're ready to sign the papers and gives me the same offer that Dreamy brought out the first time. The one with the high APR and sticker price. I was confused! What exactly just happened? It's almost like the hour I spent negotiating with Dreamy was a dream indeed. Here I was, thinking we had finally come to an agreement only to be back at square one with the original guy. Chris got mad when I told him that I refused to sign paperwork for a deal I had not agreed on. He got visibly upset and told me that I was making a big mistake and if I'd have been his wife or sister, he would have told me to take the deal. I felt like I had wasted my entire afternoon and Dreamy was just sent in to stall me while Chris tended to another customer. I will never return to this dealership! They almost had my business, but lost it due to poor customer service and lack of communication between their dealers. read more

The absolute worst dealership in business. I paid $5000 for a bumper to bumper extended warranty for a new car I bought there which they have never honored for any service I have ever received. They charge $150 to look at your car and make certain you pay at least $200 just for requesting service on a warranty they tell you will cover everything for it's entire term. So after paying $5000, they asked me to pay $200 for a battery that cost $160. Stay away from this dealership. Their "service" is nonexistent. read more

I was hung up on by the receptionist after calling for a service question and being told everyone was too busy! Called and spoke to Randy at Fresno Ram service department ....got an apology for the rudeness and was told he would work on my vehicle anytime. My husband had recently brought in our 2010 Jeep Wrangler because of a headlight malfunction. Not only were the entire staff informative, but they were very understanding and professional. Terrible service. I dropped my 2016 Dodge Durango off to have an oil leak checked and the rear struts for the rear gate. They had the car for almost two weeks. Although they did provide a rental car. Once the car was returned to me. The oil leak was not fixed and the rear hatch still appears to have a strut issue. They wanted me to make another appointment to recheck the leak. I informed them that was not going to happen, since I had just pick the car up a day earlier. I did bring the car back on the weekend as they requested. But I had to call twice to find out the status. This time they told me the leak was just oil overflow from the previous leak they fixed..Yeah right? It's been a few months and the leak has returned. Quite frankly. I did not believe the leak overflow garbage they told me on the second visit. read more

The worst experience ever. We shook on the price of 51k. After we signed papers, the price was at 54k. We asked why it jumped up 3 grand and instead of telling the truth, which was that they racked up the price without telling us, they lied that it was an additional "bank fee." We looked it up and it's ILLEGAL to charge customers a bank fee! We also found out that the bank we financed from doesn't even charge bank fees. They could've been in deep trouble had they not agree to void the contract. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! Take your money elsewhere. They will do whatever to push the car on you and do sneaky things to your contract. The finance guys will try to sweet talk you about other things and finesse you into signing the contract without fully explaining it. We ended up getting a brand new truck from Merced Toyota and the experience was completely different! They treated us with respect and made sure to go over every detail with us. They didn't push us to buy anything! That is how a car dealership should run. read more

10/13/15 I gave Clovis Chrysler Dodge two opportunities to provide service for my Ram 3500. In both cases I informed the service person that this is my only vehicle and I needed it as soon as possible. I made early morning appointments to help make that happen. Today it took all day to do 3 recalls that were 1/2 hr. Jobs and to change out some cooling hoses that required the removal of 4 hose clamps. Evidently telling them the importance of having my vehicle as soon as possible means nothing or they have the worst mechanics in the business. I won't be going back. Somewhere there is a good Ram service provider. read more

He also helped my boyfriend buy his own car two days later ( He liked the deal I got so much:)) Chase is not one of those Salesmen that is looking to put you into a vehicle that youre gonna sink in trying to make payments! He listens to what you want, what you need and what you can afford. He will bend over backwards to get you the deal you need with the bank and He'll stay as late as you need him to to get things done! Hes very honest. What amazing service I had from the service department, especially from Khalid, the service manager. I came on a emergency the day after Christmas at 2pm with a cracked oil pan. I told Khalid, the urgency of getting my car fixed that day, because I was in town visiting an needed to get back home in Palm Springs, the next day to work. All what I can say, Khalid made things happen, got my car fixed within a few hours. He was very accomiating to me (and my dog) and provided me with exceptional customer service from start to finish. I wish they had service guys like Khalid here in Palm Springs, they are hard to come by. Well done! I would recommend anyone to this dealership and Khalid. A+ customer service! read more

We recently took our 2016 Hard Rock Edition Rubicon Jeep in for a recall notice, a clutch release issue and to have the first oil change. We called and made an appt, promptly showed up and was told they would call us that afternoon -- which they did call only to say they hadn't gotten to it as promised. Mind you we let them know we had to have it within 2 days as we were leaving town. They called the next day to say there was no need to do oil change as it showed 65% life. So appreciated their honesty. A big plus for us! Also said they got the wiring recall fixed however the clutch assembly was defective and needed parts ordered. We told them we were leaving town for a week and they said they would complete the repair while we were gone. Two days later we get a call to say all 5 rims and tires had been stolen in the middle of the night and that we needed to turn in a claim to our insurance because it is not their fault. And too because we had no wheel locks on our vehicle - which is how it came to from the factory. We balked at turning it in to our insurance because they had it on their back repair lot and frankly had they done the repairs on time, this wouldn't have happened. Rather than jack up our Jeep off the ground and put it on jack stands at least they left it on the ground for nearly a week while the two insurance companies attempted a resolution. We were lied to, and told new rims and tires had been ordered and received and were waiting for finally determination as to who was paying. Rather than put a set of "take offs" which are new rims and tires from a new Jeep that they dealer chose to replace with bigger badder ones (they do this all the time according to a local rim and tire shop we visited) and get on with the warranty repair, they chose to ignore it all, leaving the vehicle on the ground. Sadly we got tired of waiting almost two weeks and decided to run it thru our insurance and purchase rims and tires elsewhere. That tire shop loaned us rims and tires to go get our Jeep from the dealer and move on from this horrible experience. Frankly it was never about customer service this dealership, it was about our insurance paying. It would have been fine by us had they called and apologized and said we have a set of take offs they can put on and we would have said fine, go for it. Again we know they have them because they do upgrade some of their Jeeps to include lift kits and bigger rims and tires. Their service manager was the most unpleasant person we have ever dealt with in our lives. There was only one guy named Mike who is worth a big high five and many thanks. He is honest and upfront and apologized for the bad experience. Service manager never said sorry or anything. We even asked to talk to the manager of the dealership and was told no, that he had been informed and he agreed with the entire handling of our situation. If this is how a dealership handles customers, you all need to steer clear of them. We will be filing a formal complaint with Jeep as well as other agencies. People need to know you are at risk in their facility. Oh, and we asked them why didn't they put they vehicle in the service bay overnight if they knew there was the possibility for theft without wheel locks and we were told there was no room. We did check some of their Jeeps and those with standard wheels like ours did not have locks. This is the worst dealership ever. And we went there because they had better reviews than the Fresno dealership. Needless to say the clutch assembly repair will be made at a different dealership. And the place where we purchased 5 rims and tires were dumbfounded that the Jeep dealership didn't cover it because they (rim and tire shop) have to if it is behind their service bay. Said they had never heard of such a thing. Nor had anyone else. Love our Jeep but will never ever recommend Clovis Jeep to anyone. This would be a no star review if I could post it that way.
