I am extremely disappointed with the service department. My vehicle has been there for over four weeks for a recall, and the biggest issue has been the complete lack of communication. After already experiencing non-communication, I spoke directly with my service representative, Ivan Tinoco, and specifically requested daily updates. I was assured that I would be kept informed. That has not happened. I have repeatedly had to reach out myself just to get basic information about the status of my vehicle. I understand that parts can sometimes take time to arrive. However, it is very difficult to accept that a dealership would not have timely access to service parts for the vehicles they sell -- or at the very least provide clear, proactive communication about delays. Instead, I have been left without a firm timeline, without consistent updates, and without accountability. This has caused significant inconvenience. I recently moved to the area and rely heavily on my vehicle for work and daily responsibilities. If I had known a recall would turn into such a prolonged and poorly communicated process, I would have reconsidered scheduling it when I did. Customer service is not just about fixing cars -- it is about communication, transparency, and respect for people's time and circumstances. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience here. Employees walked passed - no one said can I help you -nothing. One employee behind a service counter said he could buy my car, but couldnt help me on service. He then proceeded to talk with another employee about a personal matter, while I stood there. I tried a lady in the parts department - she said she couldn't help me. After 30 minutes, I left. I set my safety recall inspection with Troy who was very accommodating with dates and times. I showed up and they got me in right on schedule. After inspection they let me know that amazingly they had both pieces available and if I gave them about 30 more minutes they would install the new pieces (side note their great service team finished even quicker!). Let me tell you, there is a reason Future Ford of Clovis has several President's Awards; their customer service is amazing! Called on a Friday to schedule a visit for a new key, spoke with Greg. Told to come in on Saturday someone would be there to duplicate my key and program it to my car. Got there, was directed to the parts department where I spoke with Stuart. He wasn't ready, seemed like he was in a bad mood- said he didn't know I was coming in for a key. Said he didn't know why Greg told me to come in.. Explained he didn't know how to cut the key didn't have anyone to help explain how but he'd "try". He was unsuccessful. said his machine was "only for newer cars" my car is a 2013. How does a dealership NOT have the proper equipment to fill an order to cut a new key? Sad. Unfortunate. Bought a key had to take it to another shop to get it cut and programmed. Overall poor visit. Staff was not personable, not skilled, not helpful, made me feel like a burden, seemed dissatisfied with their job, and life itself. Only ONE person smiled and greeted me kindly. The rest seemed like they were hungover and unhappy to be there. I had more help from a customer waiting in line. only good part about the visit was a "discount" for my trouble.. a whopping 40 bucks. The service department is awful. They tried to charge me over 700$ for a APIM module which I found online for 250$ and it took 10 min to fix. They also lied and said they couldn't replace my catalytic converter that was covered under warranty because my axel back welds would not give them access to it. I took it to another shop and they fixed it that same day. Not to mention they took my car apart and when I declined their service they said they would not have any technicians in to put it back for another couple days? I love ford but I will never do business here again something seems shady about this place. I also have a friend who took his wife's car in and when they took it on a test drive it somehow overheated (which it's never done before) and then they refused to take any responsibility or even offer to help tow it back. My last 2 calls to Anthony he told me he would call me back but never has. For this reason and others I can't recommend this dealer. Update I went to the DMV to ask what the holdup was. Instead, they said that they could not give out that information without buying the parts first. They even tried to make me feel stupid for asking without buying. I called just about every other Ford dealer in the area and they were happy to give me the right info and help. Terrible Customer Service with Future Ford's Service Department. It's so sad to make a special purchase here only to have multiple parts malfunction at 1000 miles, 2000 miles, 5000 miles, and most recently at 11,000 miles. When I tried to follow up to remedy the situation, I got thrown back and forth between their department and Ford's Overall Customer Service. Ford says it is up to the dealer, Furture Ford of Clovis says it's up to Ford. When you have shocks and struts that don't last 11,000 miles and you say, "Oh, it's not under the warranty because you just missed the warranty period by a few days", (mind you because your department couldn't see me any sooner), it leaves a bitter taste because no one on your end wants to accept the responsibility. I asked to be contacted by the dealership's manager 1 month ago. I have yet to receive a call and when I attempt to call for clarification, they are never available. Back February I had my 2019 Ford Ranger Towed in that repair shop & they called me the day after Super Bowl and said it was ready for pick-up so I trusted that it was fixed I then went pick up my truck and paid 4,100$ on my credit card on to turn around and take my truck back as it was not fixed, then they told me in March that I needed a new transmission and I was going to have to pay another 4,000$ and they would pay 2,000$.. I just purchased a van their service department has terrible customer service they offer a great deal warranty but what's the point if they have to keep your car for 4 weeks after just purchasing it with a transmission problem that should have been detected prior to my purchase. Then 2 months later I take it in for the brakes and again the problem isn't fixed I pick it up have to return it the following Friday and now it's been another week I do not receive updates I have to call them I can't get through days go by and you hear nothing. POTENTIAL CLIENTS BEWARE of Future Ford of Clovis: I took my car to get checked for a leak and shaking. I got charged 250.00 for diagnosing a leak and another 250.00 for diagnosing my car shaking. I was told that it would be covered under warranty. I was told that it would be highly unlikely that we would actually have to pay the diagnostic fees. When I returned, Future Ford of Clovis said that I had a leak in a radiator hose and that it was not covered in the warranty. They said the shaking was due to my wheels and that it was not covered by the warranty. The diagnostic fees are also NOT covered by the warranty. QUOTE FOR REPAIR: - 560.00 to fix a leaky hose -850 for a set of tires. -250 for diagnostic fee #1 -250 diagnostic fee #2 These are predatory tactics by Ford and all its dealers.
