POTENTIAL CLIENTS BEWARE of Future Ford of Clovis: I took my car to get checked for a leak and shaking. I got charged 250.00 for diagnosing a leak and another 250.00 for diagnosing my car shaking. I was told that it would be covered under warranty. I was told that it would be highly unlikely that we would actually have to pay the diagnostic fees. When I returned, Future Ford of Clovis said that I had a leak in a radiator hose and that it was not covered in the warranty. They said the shaking was due to my wheels and that it was not covered by the warranty. The diagnostic fees are also NOT covered by the warranty. QUOTE FOR REPAIR: - 560.00 to fix a leaky hose -850 for a set of tires. -250 for diagnostic fee #1 -250 diagnostic fee #2 These are predatory tactics by Ford and all its dealers. Wanted to learn more about an engine light illuminated on the dash of our newly bought used Transit van. Took to dealer, the front counter severely lacked any communication skills and failed to tell me what the inspection would consist of or how much. I repeatedly asked that I wanted to make sure that our purchase was not a lemon or had any issues and to check for any recalls or whatever as well. The communication I got back in text format was a fuel valve and the repair would be about $1200. Nothing else was said about the van or any 10 point, "12 point" checks or whatever FUTURE has if any about anything else.... When I came back to ask questions, the front desk person said nothing but "that will be $250" "how do you want to pay"? WHAT? And you all did what? Update: it's been almost 2 months and my bumper, grille, and license plate are still damaged. I have, however, been getting biweekly updates from them, but it's never any good news. It's the same thing everytime: "Replacement parts are on back order". I know that can't be controlled, they're at the discretion of the manufacturer, but I still shouldn't have to be going through this if they never would've damaged my car in the first place. It's embarrassing to be driving around with a damaged bumper and I fear that further damages can arise (loose bumper flying off), if it's not taken care of sooner rather than later. I hope I'm not getting the run around in hopes that I "forget about it". I took my mother to the Kia dealership next door. We walked around for at least 15 minutes without anyone bothering to speak to us, so we walked over to the Ford dealership. Franklin Simmons came out and greeted us right away! He listened to what we wanted, found that as well as a back-up option. My mom ended up purchasing the back-up option since it fit her needs. My son bought a new truck from Future Ford in Clovis. After a couple of years, and a few life changes, a couple of weeks ago, he took the truck in and received an appraisal to buy it back for a determined amount, which was $8000 below Blue Book. My son quickly searched and found a used truck. The sellers kindly agreed to hold it for him until Future Ford of Clovis purchased his truck. When he went back to sell his truck, less than two weeks after the appraisal, they offered $2000 less than original offer. Excuses were made as to why, but it was clearly a "bait and switch." My son had to go across the street to Clovis Toyota who purchased his truck for what Future Ford originally offered. Someone from Future Ford called my son the next day. After explaining what occurred and how he felt they had tried to cheat or scam him, the caller's response was, "Oh well, I'm glad everything worked out. Let me know if you need anything." I bought a Ford Edge sport from them. Within 500 miles the Turbo went out and then it was in the shop for 35 days. i had a bad rattle in my sun roof and took it in there about 6 months ago. They had it for 2 weeks and when i got it back it still rattled and they didn't put it in correctly. I couldn't open the cover to the sun roof it buckled up. I went to this dealership with my daughter and son in law last weekend to try and sell their Ford Explorer. They no longer needed it and wanted to get a fair price and tried the dealer they bought it at first. My daughter was apprehensive because they have ran into issues with them in the past not wanting to fix things that were recalled. Not being responsive with concerns, etc. But my son in law wanted to give them a shot first. When they went they didn't really even look at the vehicle and ran Carfax and told them the car was reported a total loss by the insurance company the month before. They were confused because the only thing reported was the gas tank being punctured and drained and that was already replaced. They said well it is on there and there isn't anything you can do. Best we can do is give you 3000. Well. We left. Researched. Contacted the car insurance and Carfax and it was corrected in less than a week. They went to Carmax today. Exactly one week later and was offered 13000. So, be careful when dealing with them. They have poor customer service. I witnessed myself. On April 5th, I was looking at prices for the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition online and saw that there were two of these available at Future Ford of Clovis. I went to the Future Ford of Clovis website and saw that Future Ford of Clovis was advertising a Future Ford discount of $15,600 and $16,600 on these two vehicles. The prices advertised were $41,635 and $41,430. I went to the dealership and saw both vehicles on the lot and I asked to verify the price. The sales person had me talk to the finance manager, who told me that he could not honor those advertised prices. He referred me to the MSRP prices of $60,235 and $61,030. This was not the advertised price and to add insult to injury, two hours later they increased the prices to $73,630 and $72,835. This is fraudulent and there is California Code protecting consumers from these sales tactics. Reports have been filed with the FTC and the BBB. I purchased a used 2016 Nissan Sentra on 2/2/21. There were some things wrong with it that one of the managers said he would take care of it, he also stated, "we pride ourselves on customer service & not to worry." He "will do what it takes to get it fixed." Come to find out the CVT transmission needed to be replaced so Nissan replaced the CVT transmission (it was under warranty, I'm sure if it wasn't I would have been stuck with the bill) a brand new one. Then there was something wrong with the bumper it was popped out a little bit in the front on the driver side...as you can see in attached pictures of the vehicle before I purchased it, you can also see that there's a little bit of a pop out of the bumper on the video that was taken 2/28/21. Jose Sanchez one of the service managers said, "I'll take care of it don't worry, we are a locally owned business we will get this done no matter what we have to do." Well, 4 tries later from 2/28/21-6/18/21 NOTHING! The bumper looks WORSE then before! Jose said he has to go by what his body shop guy, Maurice said, that there is nothing wrong with the bumper. If that were the case why was it that way before I purchased it & has NEVER BEEN FIXED LIKE JOSE PROMISED! I am HIGHLY UPSET! This is morally WRONG OF YOUR BUSINESS TO DO THIS! Jose & Maurice from the body shop tried to blame it on my daughter who only had access to the vehicle in late March! Trying to say she drives the hell out of this car & she keeps parking up on parking curbs! So the clip keeps popping out when she pulls off of the curb! Such BS! My daughter nor I have ever driven up on any parking curbs! They blame my daughter for many scratches & cracks under the bumper when that shit was there before I purchased the car! To blame the customer from having the car for 21 days before I noticed it & looking back on the pictures of the car on the dealer lot before I bought it let's you know future Ford, Jose & Maurice are all full of it! The car was like that BEFORE I PURCHASED IT! How do you explain me noticing the bumper popped out 21 days later & Ford STILL NOT ABLE TO FIX IT! Like needing a new cvt transmission after 17 days of me purchasing it, a lose gasket, NOW 2 front axles need to be looked at & probably replaced NOT UNDER WARRANTY & STILL the bumper not fixed from 2/28/21 til now, 6/18/21. I brought my 2005 ford mustang to my scheduled appointment because the overdrive sign came on & my car felt off driving it. I got a rental from them in the meantime. I had to keep calling them to check in on my car - not once did they call me to update me - I was frustrated with them. Then they told me it was a problem with the engine harness and that they couldn't replace it because the part has been discontinued by ford and that I would have to find my own in the aftermarket. They told me that they couldn't help me and that I would have to find the part on my own (mind you I am not a mechanic). This news was delivered to me within 24 hours which I felt like they didn't really put in the effort to help me find a replacement for the part. It took them 3-4 days to tell me what was going on with my car and less than 24 hours to tell me that they couldn't help me. I came in to have a tail light assembly replaced because water was leaking in from a defective seal. This was a warranty covered repair. The part they replaced it with did not match the other tail light. I was initially told that I'd have to purchase another tail light if I wanted them to match. I didn't like that solution. I was eventually put in contact with Sara Fike. She resolved the problem by getting both tail lights covered under the warranty. She really does her job well. After 2 days I was called and told that the factory want taking any more order but for $5000 more I could take one they had on order and customize it to what I wanted. Was a bold face lie. As with any car dealership, beware. I bought a new car there recently. After making it clear that I didn't want any of the optional add-on services (i.e. extended warranty) they still managed to get $900 of optional services on my contract that I didn't notice until after I got home and looked at all the paperwork again. They got me with a little misdirection and some white lies of omission. Ultimately, I blame myself for trusting what they said rather than looking more closely at the paperwork.
