When we called to schedule the pick up, the customer service agent was rude and abrupt and when we called to ask why the bus didn't stop today after we had scheduled the pick up, the customer service rep was rude and obnoxious. It's too bad we rely on this service because they are sorely lacking in customer service. Time to get it together MTA, you're the kind of company that ruins public transportation.

Not one SCTA bus that parks here has Handicap license plates or Handicap Placards. This agency covers the Handicap sign and puts up No Parking, SCTA bus only sign on A frame. I tried to file a America Disabilities Act complaint, but SCTA said the City of Sonoma allows them to park there. It is the SCTA Violating State Law, which the City of Sonoma nor SCTA can supersede, by covering the sign and putting up a no parking sign.

Unbelievable price considering parking at Muir Woods is nearly impossible and requires advanced reservations. My family arrived at Larkspur Landing in Larkspur, CA, as directed when I made our online reservations on gomuirwoods.com Advanced online shuttle reservations are a must. Our reservation was for 200 pm on a Sunday afternoon. Parking in the huge parking lot is free on weekends. We arrived at 130 pm and formed a line as instructed by a very nice male employee sitting in a large, company-like camper. There are port-a-potties here, but no other open restrooms. Shortly after 200, the same male employee from the company camper began scanning for tickets. This same employee provided information on what to expect (8 degrees cooler up in Muir Woods from where we were standing), that the drive would take 30 minutes, etc... Once we boarded the shuttle, the driver came in, and they took a headcount. There were eight empty seats, so he exited the shuttle and invited eight guests standing in line to board. Darn! A packed shuttle :( We were now packed like sardines. It was a warm day, and whatever little cool air was in the shuttle was now gone. It was starting to get warm, very warm inside. Once we took off, it felt as though it was no longer warm but HOT!! The AC was on, a vent on the shuttle roof was open, yet it was very uncomfortable as I began to sweat, and I could see that other guests were wiping sweat from their brows and/or fanning themselves. The ride up takes you along a winding road that goes up and down before you arrive at the entrance to Muir Woods. The driver did a GREAT job and was very professional and friendly. When we exited the shuttle, we were RELIEVED as the cool air hit our faces The return trip was different, as there were only half the riders in the shuttle. The driver did a great job, but the ride was definitely nerve-racking. The shuttle is on the side of the cliffs, and in some areas of the ride back, the driver was kicking up dirt, which means we were very close to the edge. The driver was very experienced, professional, and a great driver, but for someone like me who HATES heights, I was definitely sweating under my windbreaker. Overall, this is a GREAT way to get to Muir Woods without all the drama of trying to drive up and find parking in your own vehicle.

Once you Google how to do it, the website isn't so great and you have to go through multiple steps and add your license plate number + payment info. Once you pay (I got charged twice because the app processed payment when I was thing to make a correction), you would think "ok, I'm good to go..." but no, you get a PDF that you have to print (!?!?!). It's 2024 and a BART lot....and you have to print a pass from a poorly done website....when BART has an app that is relatively decent. You can do better BART...

However, every time I take the 6:30 pm bus from Rio Vista back to Isleton, it shows up at the bus stop 30 minutes late or more! The last time I took the 6:30 p.m. bus, it did not show up until 7:20 pm. I was shivering cold and just about to walk away from the bus stop when it finally arrived. I appreciate having the bus service here, but perhaps they should just change the schedule for that stop from 6:30 to 7:00 pm. It's frustrating getting there at 6:25, knowing that I will be waiting in the cold for so long. A couple of weeks ago, I stood in the pouring rain for over a half an hour waiting for that bus!
