I'd use…read morecaution when using a driving app to get here as we were led along a very narrow road through a local residential area with no room and switchbacks galore. Suffice it to say we saw a few locals along the way that seemed perplexed why we were driving very slowly through their neighborhood. I think that had to do with a bridge closure. Anyways... The return was not the same route thankfully. The park has for pay parking areas and what seemed to be free parking along the road to the park at your own risk. We found a spot in the paid lot ($10). Get a receipt, put it on your car's dashboard and off you go. There's a small welcome center and info at the entrance as well. The Redwoods are incredible here, some alive for 1400 plus years. You simply can't see the tops of the Redwoods from the ground. Truly incredible. The trails are well marked and it's highly discouraged to get off the trails as the environment is very ecologically sensitive. Unfortunately we saw some disregard for that. Stay on the trails people! You'll find placards noting interesting names and places along the way in addition to information about the flora and fauna. The history of the park and previous residents from indigenous peoples to the parks name sake are along the trail. It's an incredible park to visit and appreciate nature. The redwoods are incredible and certainly worth a visit.

We spent two nights at Wildhaven Sonoma with two families. After the trip, I wanted to share some…read morepractical things that would have been helpful for us to know before booking, especially around when to go, the tents, kids, the Russian River, cooking, restrooms, showers, and what to bring. A special thank you to Fred, our onsite host, who was warm, welcoming, and quick to help whenever we needed anything. **When to go** If you have flexibility, I definitely recommend going on weekdays, especially Thursday and Friday nights. It was much less crowded and more relaxing for us than a weekend would be. Weekend pricing is also on the expensive side, while weekday pricing felt more reasonable. Two nights was a good amount of time for our family. **Check-in** If this is your first visit, try to arrive during the check-in window (they do have late check-in instructions post 6pm) so you have time to ask questions and get familiar with the property. The onsite team is also responsive by text or phone if you need something after hours. **The tents** The tents are cozy and comfortable, and the heated mattress is great for colder nights. The Standard 1-Queen tent worked well for one family, and there is also a heater/fan and charging ports inside. The tents are fairly close together, so you can hear the neighboring family talking, but we never found it uncomfortably loud. **Kids** Kids will have a blast here. If you are traveling with children, check the cot, linens and pillow when you arrive. Our cot setup was initially missing, but onsite host Fred responded within about an hour and got everything we needed very quickly. **Russian River** There are multiple river access points, and we used the farther one because it was shallow and more kid-friendly. We brought both adult and kids' tubes, but decided not to tube because the current was fairly swift and we did not want to take the risk with the kids. We also noticed quite a few flies around the river in the morning and evening, so around 10 AM to 11 AM worked best for us. **River-facing tents** Personally, I would not pay extra for a river-facing tent. The river is easily accessible from the property, and we spent plenty of time there without needing a river-facing tent. In fact, if possible, get tents closer to the rest room by asking the property or host which is much more useful, especially when kids or adults want to use restroom in the middle of the night. **Grilling** Having a firepit grill right in front of the tent was one of our favorite features. We could also park fairly close to or behind the tent, which made bringing food and supplies much easier. We brought our own campfire cooking grill and preferred using it because it gave us a clean cooking surface. **Healdsburg** Safeway in Healdsburg is very convenient for food and supplies, and you can get pretty much everything you need for the stay there. They even have paneer if you want to grill something vegetarian, although it is a little pricey. There is also a Starbucks in the same shopping complex, which was convenient for getting coffee. Healdsburg does have Thai, Indian and Mediterranean options for lunch/dinner. **Restrooms** The restrooms were clean, but they could get crowded during busier periods. This is one area where I think upgrading the existing restrooms would be a worthwhile improvement for the property. The additional outdoor restrooms were a lifesaver for us on multiple occasions. **Showers** The showers were clean and comfortable, and they provide shampoo and body wash. This was better than what I expected from a glamping property and made the stay much easier with kids. **Dish washing** There is a communal BBQ and dishwashing area where you can clean your vessels and cutlery. They provide dishwashing liquid and scrubbers, which was a nice touch and made cooking for the family much easier. **Nights** The property gets quite dark at night, which is part of the charm but something to be prepared for. Headlamps are a must, and I would recommend bringing one for every person, especially when walking to the restrooms with kids. **What to bring** Our most useful items were a campfire cooking grill, grill tools, skewers, fire starter, lighter, firewood, headlamps, water shoes for both kids and adults, trash bags and cups for tea or coffee. They have hot water available, so having your own cups is convenient. **Overall** We stayed for two nights with another family, with two adults and one young child in each family. It was a very relaxing family getaway, and the combination of comfortable tents, river access, campfire cooking and being close to Healdsburg made it easy to enjoy without doing traditional camping.

We loved it so much that we planned to make it an annual family tradition. Unfortunately, this trip completely changed my opinion. This time we booked one of the cabins instead of a tent. My reservation clearly stated there would be four guests, yet the cabin only had three pillows. My kids slept on the futon, and the blanket provided for them had obviously not been washed--it was covered in dog hair and goathead stickers. When I asked for extra pillows and blankets, I was told they didn't have any available. I ended up having to Instacart pillows and blankets on the second day because it was too late to get them the first night. My kids used my blanket that first night. I understand and appreciate that Wildhaven is dog-friendly, but I think there should either be designated pet-friendly cabins or a much more thorough cleaning process between guests. What if my children had severe dog allergies? That simply isn't acceptable. The campground was also completely booked, so I expected the shared facilities to be cleaned more frequently. Instead, the men's restroom was filthy by 7:00 p.m., and the cleaning log showed it hadn't been serviced since 4:19 p.m. The handwashing and dishwashing stations were also out of paper towels. The final disappointment was the wagon policy. Campers are encouraged to buy firewood on-site to help prevent the spread of invasive insects, which we happily did. However, we were told we had to pay to rent a wagon just to transport the firewood and ice to our cabin. Last fall, guests were allowed to use the wagons at no charge for this purpose. Charging extra for something that supports campground rules and conservation efforts felt frustrating and unnecessary. Wildhaven is still a beautiful property, and that's what makes this experience so disappointing. We truly wanted this to become a yearly family tradition, but after this visit, I don't think we'll be returning. I hope management addresses these issues because this place has so much potential, and our first experience showed just how great it can be.

Taking the tour with Bolo's bikes was one of the best wine tasting experiences I have ever had…read more Being about to cruise around from one winery to the next in the beautiful vineyards was breathtaking and a one of a kind experience. The tour guides were extremely helpful in making sure the helmets and seats were adjusted to the right fit just for me and they made sure to be very thorough in teaching me how to operate the bike before I took off (it was surprisingly extremely easy to ride- I didn't even have to pedal if I didn't want to). They were also very knowledgeable on each winery they took us to and all of the places we went had the most amazing views. I can't express enough how much I would recommend this tour to anyone- wine lovers or not (I'm not, but had a total blast). Go Bolo's bikes!!

After just a quick 5 minute training session, I was cruising through the back roads of Dry Creek Valley on my high-tech "electric" bike -- like a Pro !!! We have visited this area many times, driving through the vineyards, but the relaxing adventure on Bolo's Bike Tour gave us both a totally different perspective. The silent electric-assisted bikes virtually float down the country back roads... the magnificent vineyard vista's are so much more spectacular at the 10-20 mph pace than though the window of a speeding car. The phrase "stop and smell the roses" could be replaced with "glide and see the vineyards". Our 5 hour excursion flew by. Our first stop was the Historic Dry Creek General Store to pick up a delicious picnic lunch. We then cruised to a hidden private vineyard directly off West Dry Creek Road. The vineyard owners knew our hosts Chris, Seth and Jonathan well, and recommended a delightful Sav Blanc, that perfectly paired with our lunch. We sat at a rustic picnic table beside the Dry Creek River. The peaceful forest sounds and gurgling stream was a unique experience. After lunch we effortlessly cruised down a winding side road to the magnificent Schlumberger Vineyard for a fantastic Wine Tasting. This delightful vineyard is designed in the elegant style an Italian Villa, and we lounged in the white-columned courtyard by a fountain -- the Wine flowed -- from a crisp dry Champaign-style sparkling wine, to the local White Wines, climaxing with a beautiful "Old Vine" Red Zinfandel. The Bolo's Bikes Owners are long-time residents in Healdsburg, and they expertly guided us through some of the most Spectacular hidden wine country vista's I have ever seen. They entertaining us with interesting local tales, historical facts, and good humor. The next time we visit Sonoma Wine Country, a Bolo's Bike Tour will be on the Top of our list, for another a relaxing fun-filled excursion !!!

We checked in on Sunday and stayed until Thursday. Give or take 3 whole days/night of the bathroom not being cleaned. Showers had clumps of hair, razors left on the floor--just gross honestly. I brought it to the attention of the maintenance guy to kindly ask when they would be cleaning next, to be answered with," I'm not sure, you can drive to the other bathrooms." Brought it to the attention to the guy in charge at the front, where I was then rudely spoken over as he answered the phone mid conversation, to then continue with their regular lady has Covid and he's had complaints about this maintenance guy a few times now. He did ask to give us free ice but I declined and said I just wanted clean bathrooms. Then to top it off, as any camp night slows down around a fire, laughs are had and stories are told, a worker comes over to tell us to be quit and accuses us of being on drugs(acid) to be exact. SMH. What a completely ignorant moron. Yes we were laughing and being a little loud, but no excuse for a worker to speak to any guest this way. Owners apologized but like I said for what we paid, the cleanliness, the distance some of us drove and how we were treated--would not waste my money again.

You're surrounded by so many trees and our cozy cabin had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable . My baby had the best time and it was really nice being out in nature and doing the things we loved prior to baby and getting to experience that with her brought a lot of joy . My favorite part was s'mores night with our family . Fibrese was amazing and set up the fire so we can make some s'mores. It felt nice to sit around the fire , take in the beauty of your surroundings and be present in that moment. This little getaway was truly a highlight and a core memory for our family . The most magical part of the stay was looking up at the night sky and being able to see all stars twinkling down . You can even see the milky way with the naked eye . It's truly a beautiful sight . We even caught some shooting stars looking up into the night sky . The doggy Cheepiz at the property is so cute . After loosing my dog it was nice to see Cheepiz ( a rescue dog ) living his best life and roaming around free . Thank you Huttopia for a wonderful experience . Our family will be back again . Carts may not be enough in the weekend. So do not bring a lot of stuff. 2) Not sure if there is a hike. 3) do not use a lot of electricity after 6pm (in the summer) coz the electricity went out but they were quick to switch the solar battery. 4) there should be a number to call at every stations. Pros: 1)the tent we stayed in was nice and clean. We opt out w the linen. There are some kitchen items and a grill in the patio. I didn't use the grill because we stayed at my bro-in-law's tent most in the daytime. 2) the clubhouse is nice and they have some games. 3) swimming pool is nice BUT could've been cleaner. 4) It was quiet at night which is nice. There ice packs station. 5) employees were reachable BUT you have to call the number which can be found in the website. This is a nice "camping" if you are about 2 hours away from the bay area.
