The roads were a bit bumpy but nothing we couldn't handle. Restrooms were well maintained. We didn't use the showers, but it was nice knowing we had the option if needed... and it seemed like they were nice and hot since other guests were using them and the mirrors were fogging up (not complaining). We did notice a lot of brush piles, so hopefully they are actively taking care of the forest to prevent forest fires. Loved that we weren't too far from the beaches and enjoyed a day at Fort Bragg. We will definitely return.

Come early and enjoy a beautiful hike in the redwoods with barely a crowd! Morning drive to Mendocino made us make a pit stop at Hendy Woods State Park as we heard there were beautiful spots of Redwoods that we must check out before going on our way. Pay fee was $8 dollars to get in which wasn't the worst but as we kept driving, we got a little worried about where the Redwoods were as a portion of the drive looked pretty sparse & dry. But worry not, once we got very deep into the drive near the end where the hike begins, the trees started popping up everywhere! Trail was clean and so much greenery everywhere, from the tall Redwoods to the short ferns growing all over the place. We stumbled upon a massive felled Redwood tree which was perfect for photo captures. This place is a perfect spot to stop by if you want to spend a couple of hours soaking in the fresh air and nature!

It was a wonderful escape, especially during the winter with their Olympic size mineral spring pool. It was/is magical to see the steam rising off the springs and looking up at the stars at night with my daughter. She was a stressed out middle schooler/high school student when we 1st discovered ISR. At the time, it was a little pricey, but something we could afford occasionally. Now, let's just say big buckets of money. My daughter is now a doctor and married, and she recently visited for the holidays. I looked for something special for a relaxing time because of holiday travel and their work lives. I was so lucky to speak to Eli to inquire about a 2 day stay. Out of all our visits I feel this was the friendliest conversation and pretty much booked it because of Eli. She booked at a very busy time my special requests. The rooms were very nice, clean & comfortable. I booked two rooms but did not want them side-by-side. Maybe just a couple of rooms apart but in the same building. Can you believe I had the nerve to ask this during the Christmas season? She not only did not laugh in my face, but she actually booked it perfectly. I have to say this is the first friendly and personal service I've ever received at Indian Springs. It is a very popular place so I will give them that. Thank you Eli for giving my family & I a very wonderful & relaxing memory. Best to you and Happy New year. P.S. They have free bikes on the property, but boy are they weird! I think I might've been nine years old when I've used handlebars like that.

Amber, the weekend manager, was amazing at getting us settled - the first caravan we were in had a minor issue with water pressure, but Amber got us moved to fully functioning unit in no time (and even offered to help schlep our stuff!). We slept like logs listening to the creek gently babbling all night, and the STARS at night! Amazing! The variety of water temps is fantastic, the steam room and dry sauna are ideal, and the locker rooms are new and roomy. We'll be back!

Exceptional place, peaceful surroundings, great pools, one of the best massages ever, tasty healthy food, and a nice selection of holistic classes/yoga/dance, etc. I was going to go this week, but the weather wasn't conducive for 50% of my stay. Prices has definitely gone up, and despite the 20 years plus, I find the massage Prices has been inflated to much (I am a massage therapist, and owned a Spa in Half Moon Bay). Recouping for the loss of the fire makes sense, and paying more for accommodations I'm good with... But, charging Ritz Carlton Prices for massages.... !!! Not so much. To the owners: Please allow this place to remain special..., meaning, let us (retired people, non-tech high income people) all be able receive the gift of touch I would personally get 3 massages in 5 days, but now... ouch... $160/215... + tip.... Just a thought, a Harbin friendly discount for several treatments... So glad you survived, and restoring this magnificent place.

BEST ADVICE EVER. Even before we got there I could tell how nice and accommodating the entire staff was. we booked the upgraded little bungalow and the famous Calistoga Mud Bath. It was worth every penny to ensure my wife had the most wonderfully relaxing birthday she could imagine. The room was great, the pool and hot tubs were fantastic, the bungalow had its own soaking tub inside as well, but the mud bath was insanely relaxing and leaves your skin feeling amazing. The grounds are beautiful as well, they have bikes you can take for a spin, and bocci ball which I personally love as well. tons of great eats with 5 mins from the property. I couldn't recommend more. 10/10 Stars

We stayed overnight at the Steep Ravine Cabins which is a short but rocky hike to the hot springs from the beach. It can get a little sketchy with rising tides. Alternatively, if you drive right past the cabins, if you see cars parked on the left, it's straight down from there. The cars parked are also a sign that people are soaking. The reason this hot springs is so popular is its location. You can soak nestled in some rocks above the Pacific Ocean. Also it's rarity, you can only use it when the tide is negative. You can't argue with the natural beauty. Many people will take a cold plunge with the ocean water below. The spring fits about a dozen people and the closer you go to the enclosed portion the hotter the water. The reason it doesn't rate higher is the over crowding and the crowd itself. Naked hippies go along with soaking, it's a given, that's not the downside. Generally in your hot spring adventures you meet some really nice folks who are not fake who are all there for the same reason. This crowd here is hostile and overbearing about this spot. There were a few locals that were cool who helped maintain the flow of water which is much appreciated, but they were the exception. If you happen to like to soak in a bathing suit, you may get a public shaming. There was a lot of bad mouthing about anyone from outside of Marin being there. It was very crowded at 5 in the morning and you couldn't help but feel like you were on top of the person next to you because you have 30 people trying to soak in a natural tub meant for 12. For that reason I get why they are protective and don't want to encourage people to find the place but please share. No matter how many negative ratings you put on yelp to discourage novelist hot springers, you will be found.
