Shuttle worker still cracking jokes, running 20 minutes late...
    Michael K.

We showed up 10 minutes early for our 2:35pm shuttle appointment, and waited until the shuttle finally left around 3pm. They check your tickets before you board, and gave an intro into what to expect when you arrive at the park. The people we interacted with were friendly, but the long wait time after the scheduled departure time was annoying. While waiting for the shuttle, a line forms before it leaves. Each bus sits around 30-40 people, so even though they leave late, it might be smart to show up at your scheduled departure time or possibly before so that you aren't last in line and have to wait for another shuttle. After we left, we arrived 40 minutes later, and spent 2 hours walking the short path of the park. When we came back we had to wait ~20 min for the shuttle to arrive and it took us back. I think the shuttles could either be more timely or more transparent with their schedule. Otherwise be prepared to wait ~1 hour in total for the in/outbound shuttles.

There was plenty of parking on President's Day Weekend at 100 Shoreline , Mill Valley stop. The guy loading the busses was super friendly and so was the bus driver. We bought our tickets about a week ahead. You can buy tickets for park entry as well. $3.25 for shuttle and $15 for entry per person. The last shuttle out of Muir Woods is 5:55pm. I would have given them 5 stars but we ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a shuttle to leave. One had left just as we were leaving the park. They may need more busses on busier weekends?? It was really nice not to have to deal with all the bicyclists and speedy cars and having to find parking there. Let the shuttle drivers do it for you.

I arrived under less-than-ideal circumstances -- it was a busy day with services happening, and I was dressed casually in hiking clothes, feeling a bit out of place and overwhelmed. Victor immediately met me with respect, compassion, and genuine kindness. Without hesitation, he went out of his way to help me navigate the situation and made what could have been a stressful experience feel manageable and supported. It's rare to encounter someone who leads with such empathy, especially in a role where it's not necessarily expected. Victor's professionalism and humanity truly stood out, and I'm incredibly grateful for his help during a difficult moment. Marin Valet is lucky to have him. Thank you, Victor.

As the driver backed directly into me while exiting a parking space, I attempted to minimize personal injury to myself by yelling and extending my arm to protect my legs and torso from being hit by the SUV. Fortunately, the driver stopped before serious injury could occur. The driver refused to exit the vehicle and check on my condition and fled the scene. Instead of helping locate and prosecute the assailant using the license plate information provided, they blamed me for the incident and extensively questioned me about my reasons for being there and asked me numerous invasive questions about my health condition and prescription medications that I take. They also searched my cellphone extensively without a warrant. I did not appreciate being treated suspiciously as an out-of-towner and person of color. I suspect that the police department is more concerned with placating the litigious residents of the esteemed Mill Valley community than protecting the rights and safety of any non-white, non-resident victims as the police specifically excluded the license plate information and any mention of photo evidence from the police report. I implore others to reconsider shopping or conducting any business in Mill Valley for their own safety and peace of mind.

This is a very cute city that is just on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge. The views along the shore are stunning and you can tell real estate is expensive. Is this where the elite live? If you really made the flight from half way around the world to see San Francisco - this is part of it. The famous bridge you have to drive over and while your there make the Marin Headlands loop by car and stop for lunch in Sausalito. I'm not sure why but ladies go crazy for this place. A friend of mine screamed in delight with anticipation of going here later that day. It must be in tourist brochures floating around somewhere. I'm not sure - I never saw them. Delighted the ladies will be. Over priced lunches in a cute little city. Very charming - and one can only daydream of living here. I've spent lots of time wondering why nobody likes living in San Francisco - people prefer to live here or even across the bay - I think it all had to do with the 1906 earthquake... San Francisco is where people work. People don't really want to live there... If you take a look here maybe it will be easier to understand. My uncle lived in Twin Peaks area - and even that - a $2M house is undesirable - fog, no stores or neighborhood vibe and a horrid, horrid commute to financial district. It is a great idea to come here. So many tourists fly into the city only to leave shortly after to see wine country or other far off places. Maybe a long the way check out Muir Woods to the north - but check for parking availability and if you can reserve it. Great little city with views - part of your SF tour.

They also have more fast casual spots for a quick meal to go, such as In 'N Out Burger, High Tech Burrito, and Parranga. They have an Orange Theory Fitness center, a Woodland's Pet Store, as well as a AAA location (for all my automotive/DMV needs). Over the years, they've done a really nice job of landscaping the property. There are plenty of palm trees and outdoor seating areas (which is especially convenient now during this Covid craziness). The shopping center is always clean. Seldom will you find litter or debris on the ground. In the past few year, more upscale shops have opened their doors to appease the local Soccer moms, including Spanish Table, West Elm, Lavande Nail Spa, and Athleta. You certainly won't find a Target, Panda Express or $1 Store in this mall. Welcome to Mill Valley, folks. Although Strawberry Village continues to expand its vendor portfolio and spruce itself up, my favorite thing about this mall is the smaller businesses who have been there for years. I'm talking about the old shoe/watch repair store, the copy shop, the camera store, and Arch Rival (which continues to sell sporting goods and shoes). Even in this Amazon home delivery world, these businesses continue to survive, and I'm happy to support them. * If you're a dog owner, I'll let you in on a little secret.
