Overall my family and I had an awesome time. They were open from 11am - 8pm. I think they should at least open at 9am or 10am. But maybe they are short of employees who knows. We opted to purchase season passes because we figured we'd visit more than one time. And the passes are good for additional parks within CA, like Magic Mountain, Water world, Great America and more. Then my schedule changed putting me on transit at the worst possible times. I rode my motorcycle to work all summer, then decided I'd better start using the passes since they'd expire in a few months. I was pretty shocked when the driver told me my pass had expired and wouldn't let me on. I called Vallejo Transit to ask if I could exchange my passes and they said no, their exchange program ended 2 days ago, and they'd posted flyers alerting riders about the deadline. I was pretty angry about that. I spent the money, they took it, I got nothing. That's called stealing. It would've been no trouble for them to either exchange my passes or let me use them up. The new passes are printed on different paper with a different design and that's the only difference I can see, besides that my new pass says "Expires 07/31/2013." Should I believe that? Anyhow my attempt to be environmentally friendly and save wear & tear on my commute vehicle ended up costing $180 in passes I threw out, or 6 weeks of gas money looking at it another way. What a rip! I would've been better off riding the motorcycle. As far as the service itself, it's reasonably timely and on schedule at 6am heading to El Cerrito Del Norte BART. In the mornings it's easy to relax, read a magazine, and think, "this is way better than driving, why did I hate public transit so much?" In the evenings it's late, crowded, and it can take over an hour to travel the 16 miles between BART and the Transit Center. That's longer than it takes me to ride home from work on the motorcycle. And it can be a very, very long hour on a crowded bus with kids playing loud hip-hop in the seats behind you. There are a few things that could be done to expedite evening service, such as not waiting in the cash lines at the toll gates (isn't the bus a carpool?), or not pulling into the Curtola park-n-ride lot to let everyone off, then getting stuck in traffic as everyone who just got off the bus tries to leave the lot at the same time. It also seems like there are too many stops for an "express" service. Other quibbles: it costs $7.50 in gas and bridge toll for me to ride my motorcycle to work in Oakland. It costs twice that to take Vallejo Transit and BART to work and it takes an *extra* 30 - 60 minutes each way. Even as an alternative transportation advocate it's hard to recommend public transit when it COSTS MORE and TAKES MORE TIME than taking my own vehicle. Granted, that vehicle is a motorcycle. As another reviewer mentioned, a front-loading bicycle rack like every single other transit bus has would be nice. I put my bicycle in the cargo hold once and only once. Laying it on its side and having it bounce around in there is no way to transport a bike you care about. But really the fare is ridiculous. Round trip to BART on WestCAT is only $2.75. Why is it 10 bucks to take the 80? The two-star rating is for BikeLink lockers at the Vallejo Transit Center. That is oddly progressive for Vallejo and I applaud the effort even if it costs an extra 50 cents a day to park my bike there, bringing my round-trip commute total to $15.20. Without the BikeLink lockers I wouldn't be able to ride the 80 at all. I'm hopeful service will improve. If they could just stick to the published schedules and make it affordable that'd go a long way.

Why am I giving Springstowne a five star rating? The lirbarians were kind of me for answering my questions plus they were nice to give me two free COVID-19 Test to take home with me. I don't have a library card with them but they were nice to me for answering my questions. I will say that this library is small but at least they have computers to use. Parking can be rough to find since you have to find street parking near the library or just walk from the shopping center.

What pool -- it's always chained up, although I do see them open it for select people at times. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the select tenants. They ignore requests -- including requests regarding harassment and threats. They ignore ongoing and serious safety issues that were never addressed, including mailboxes being repeatedly broken into and mail being stolen. Vehicles are frequently broken into and stolen as well; my own car was stolen while I was living here. They also ignore major safety hazards, such as large cinder blocks obstructing walkways and creating serious safety risks. They ignore basic maintenance requests, like faulty gate key replacements. They don't return voicemails... or maybe just certain residents' voicemails. CID/HOA acts disgustingly discriminatory and blatantly shows preference to tenants the onsite maintenance man is friendly with. If they don't like you, they will find absolutely any reason -- and make up reasons -- to fine you. In my case, for example, I had and still have video proof of my downstairs neighbor calling me a "wetback Mexican b***." She said she didn't like that I had more than one child and didn't want us to walk around upstairs. She told me she was a correctional officer for 25 years and knows how to deal with "my kind of people." She demanded that we not walk or move around during the day because she's retired and stays up late, so she sleeps during the day. She banged on the ceiling in the middle of the night for over a year to purposely wake me. Because she's friendly with the HOA/CID management, they then began to also discriminate against me and started fining my landlord $250-$500 a month for all types of random things. I tried to provide them video evidence of this racist neighbor admitting on video that she knows we're quiet, but she doesn't like me because she knows how "my people" are and is going to make sure I get evicted. On that same video, she says that CID/HOA is aware but they are going to take her side -- and they did. It's been fine after fine for lie after lie. At a board meeting, they even demanded that my landlord evict me or face a $500 penalty for every month I remain living here. I left voicemails for them over the course of a year advising them of the racial slurs and that I have video proof -- never got a call back. My landlord tried to bring it up at the board hearing, but they muted him and disconnected him from the Zoom call, and what do you know -- fined him another $500 for "not attending." A tree fell on both my car and my neighbor's car. CID management provided insurance information for damages to my neighbor's vehicle, but they ignored all of my requests. We both rent. There is no legitimate reason my neighbor should have received insurance information while I received nothing. This is another clear example of unfair and discriminatory treatment. CID is very unprofessional, very discriminatory, and absolutely ridiculous. I have retained legal counsel for these issues and for an injury I sustained as a result of their failure to properly maintain the grounds. I underwent surgery and may now have permanent loss of function in my hand. This place has been an absolute nightmare. It's depressing, honestly. I will be moving soon, but I would not recommend living here -- especially if you are Hispanic. I truly believe they do not like us, and that is heartbreaking. I was born and raised here in Vallejo. I am not an immigrant, but this treatment is wrong regardless of citizenship status. Vallejo has always been my home, and what I've loved most about it is its diversity -- yet this complex is full of hate from both residents and CID/HOA. I am shocked and disgusted. It is NOT OK to have to endure racial slurs, constant harassment, and discrimination for over a year -- from another tenant and from the management company itself. Shame on them.

The plants in the dried marsh are likely to be Frankenia salina. Mr.Rick Shroy, a photographer living in Oregon, told me that my photo is of a red-tailed hawk (and that it is not an osprey). ATTRACTIONS. Mare Island San Pablo Bay Trail provides access to a part of the S.F. Bay area (the shoreline of San Pablo Bay) that few S.F. Bay area residents have ever seen. The trail allows hikers to see plants and birds that thrive in marshlands and tidal zones. What I liked best from my two visits in November 2020, were the views of several hawks zooming here and there over the vast fields of tall wheat grass, taking photographs of a hawk perching on the top branch of tree, and taking photographs of the thick tangles of alkali heath (Frankenia salina) that grow between the trail and San Pablo Bay. The alkali heath surrounds the dried mud flat situated between the trail and the Bay, and the alkali heath also grows in oval-shaped patches situated in the middle of the dried mud flat. These oval-shaped patches are cute looking. DIRECTIONS TO THE TRAIL. From the west, take Route 37 to reach Mare Island. During your drive from the west, you will pass the parking lot and trailhead to TUBBS ISLAND TRAIL, which provides a nine-mile round trip hike, and access to the shore of San Pablo Bay. In contrast, the trail on Mare Island provides a round trip hike of only 2.8 miles, and the closest that this trail gets to San Pablo Bay is about 200 feet. If you are driving from the east, you need to find Tennessee Street in Vallejo, then drive south and cross the blue-colored bridge, and continue on to Azuar Drive, and then turn at Dump Road. At the end of Dump Road is a parking lot and the trailhead. Once on the trail, you hike south (towards San Pablo Bay) for 500 feet. Then, the trail takes a left turn (towards the east), and from there it is 7,000 feet to the very end of the trail (2.8 miles total round-trip hike). BIRDS AND PLANTS. Birds found on Mare Island include a type of raptor called an osprey. A survey from the year 2013 revealed the presence of 60 adult ospreys nesting on Mare Island. My photographs include a large hawk sitting on a bare tree. It is possible that this is an osprey. Hikers will notice the vast expanses of tall light-colored grasses. The stems of these grasses are all dry and easy to snap in half. My two visits were in November 28 & 29 (late autumn), and so it is possible that these grasses are green in the spring. I believe that these are tall wheatgrass (Elytrigia pontica), the dominant plant at Mare Island. Tall wheatgrass tolerates soil that is high in salt. Pickleweed is green in the summer and red in the autumn. Hikers will enjoy the palm trees situated next to the trail, and the distant palm trees. First of all, the library itself is so cute and tiny. But inside it's filled with everything one would need. The Liberian was also very kind- sometimes they are not. Believe me, having a 3 year old, I have become a library connoisseur. They also have plenty of parking in the back. Now, the event itself was amazing. I probably visit a library 5 days a week and I have never been to such a great event. They had entertainment for the young and old. We absolutely had a great time and will be back!

Rather than call, we live close to this office so we decided to go in person. The security guard was super nice and friendly asking us what we came in to do and if we had an appointment. We did not, so we had to take a number and wait about 20 minutes or so. He was so kind and helpful to all, greeting them ad they walked in, and saying "ok have a great day" as they walked out. The lady that we saw was patient snd explained everything to us. We were only supposed to get one set of pages 1-14 and she entered all the answers into the system that we had already done, and as for what we needed clarification on, she was very helpful and cleared it up. 5 stars for her! She said we should expect to see another set of pages come in the next couple of weeks and if we had more questions to come and see her! A lot of it was repetitive, we had no problem filling it out, but my husband did go in person to turn it in rather than put it in the mail. ( This was right during the primary voting so we didn't want it to be delayed). This is a very long review , but I hope it encourages someone to go in, and get help or clarification on SS paperwork.
