Wonderful bike rental experience! Frieda was so lovely and accommodating - we started the ride a little later and when we realized we couldn't get the bikes back to her the next day she accommodated our arrival time back at the store later that day. We spent 8 hours on e-bikes going up to Dry Creek and trying 3 wineries. The locks were nice when we stopped in Healdsburg for lunch. There are bags on the bikes to hold belongings and even keep things cold! The route was really nice and felt plenty of space from cars all day. read more

On day 2 of our girls weekend we had a bike tour with Ace It. Willow was our tour guide and she was fantastic! We biked to two wineries, Foppiano and Rodney Strong. We loved every minute of the tour, got teamed up with a smaller group who was super fun and just had the best time! Ended at Mutt Lynch, which is a dog lovers paradise! The bike tour is 7 miles round trip. Not difficult, mostly flat. Willow went out of her way to make sure we didn't feel rushed, staying well past the original end time. Highly recommend! read more

My husband, son and I went on the Bikes and Brews tour out of Windsor, CA today. Pros: Freida, the owner, was very responsive in email. And she was a delightful tour guide giving us highlights of the points of interest along the way. Really enjoyed the Russian River Brewing tasting, sitting outside was lovely and the beers were tasty. She adjusts which brewery she takes you to based on your interests and what's new. The other two breweries for us were Cuver, a Belgian brewer, and the Flagship Taproom on the town square. They were both quiet places that we could sit outside and we really enjoyed them. Cons: - I didn't realize that neither beer tasting nor food are included in the cost of the ride. (I thought beer was included, but no biggie.) - although I was worried about riding too much in 90' weather, in the end, I felt like we could have ridden the bikes more - it's a beautiful area and plenty to see. Plus it's really flat. I never even broke a sweat - not that that was the goal. We probably covered about 6 miles total. Overall, definitely recommend! Had a great time. And Frieda was very fun! read more

Wow, what a great time! We had a blast. We started our ride at 9 instead of 10 because there was a heat wave. This was Freida's idea and she was wise! A very thoughtful move on her part. The bikes fit us PERFECTLY and have convenient cool zones for storing your picnic and any wine you buy. We brought hummus, cheese, fruit, and crackers, and all fit well. There's even a cute cutting board. Nice touch. The helmets are also nice--it's great to not have to bring any gear! Setting out from the hotel was awesome because we had time to get some coffee in the lobby before departure. The route was great. Shaded in many parts and away from cars. All the locals walking their dogs wanted to gossip and say hello to us, which was adorable. We loved seeing vines from the trail. We also saw some cool birds and a cork tree, along with olive trees and more. You couldn't ask for better scenery. And Freida was happy to snap photos of us when we wanted. :) On the few parts where we were on roads with cars, the drivers were really respectful. Freida also did a great job of letting us know when it was clear and if a car or biker/runner/etc was coming, which made our job easy--just peddle and enjoy the view! It's a very rural feeling area (plenty of horses and sheep and stuff) so you really don't feel like you're in traffic at all. Hook & Ladder was a wonderful stop. The staff is so amicable and the wine is great. We bought a bottle of Third Alarm but honestly their prices are so good we ought to have bought more. Really great quality. Side-by-side tasting there is the way to go! Sunce was a nice stop, though they were a little less organized for tastings. We got to check out the barrel room, which was a fun experience! We had a picnic there which was awesome. Then the return trip. We stopped a few times for water as the temperature had risen. Again, happy we started early! Overall I really recommend Ace It. Great info on their website, good value, Freida is so friendly, and the bikes and bike seats feel awesome (no soreness the next day). The one thing I wished I packed was chapstick because my lips got a bit sunburnt, but no big deal. So do it! Pack a picnic and bring your camera. Grab a water bottle that fits in a bike cup holder. Freida is amazing! Upon arrival we were notified we would be the only folks on the tour so instead of a group, we had a *** private tour ***!!!! We started on time, the bikes were high quality and easy to use, she even provided a water bottle for us. First stop, Russian River brewing co, second stop Barley & Bine, third stop, Mutt & Lynch! We had the best time, and Freida was extremely knowledgeable, super easy to converse with, and respectful for our time and the occasion. We bought plenty of beer and wine which all fit in the provided bags on the bikes, and could not have asked for a better time! Honestly, we kind of expected a tougher ride, but it was smooth and easy! Next time, we'll do the bodega bike and hike! Did a St. Patty's day beer bike tour in Windsor.. Sooooo much fun! I don't even like beer and I've already decided I'm doing this again when my family comes to visit.. Freida, the owner was amazing and the bike tour was so beautiful.. an easy ride with a couple small hills to get your butt in shape.. It was a leisurely 6-7 miles each way featuring surprisingly beautiful scenery. We got to Hopmonk and got to taste a few beers. We made a second stop and got back with time to spare. It was understandable that our tour was shorter considering it was only the two of us plus Chip. I think a third stop would have really made it great. A good time nonetheless! read more

This tour was the highlight of our great vacation! My husband and I ended up having a private tour by Freida (owner) - I don't know how often that happens but how much more personal can it get? We rode a total of 15 miles or so on comfy mountain bikes at a steady but not too brisk pace and visited 3 different family wineries in the Russian River Valley, and we truly felt like we had VIP service at all of them. The beautiful scenery and weather cannot be thoroughly enjoyed from a vehicle! All of the tasting fees were waived and we received a significant discount on wines we bought so in the end we felt we could justify the cost of the trip - and it truly was our best experience in wine country yet! (And we lived in Northern CA for 4 years!) Trip tips: eat breakfast before and bring a light snack as the tour we took was approximately 10am-2:30pm. Cheese and crackers would be perfect. Loved our tour and bike ride with Frieda today. Who woulda thought you could experience wine country this way? We visited 2 wineries: Hook and Ladder and Sunce. Both were wonderful little wineries with a variety of delicious wines. I am so glad my hubby and I chose to experience our first Northern California wine tasting tour this way. We are experienced bikers. We bike all the time on our own recumbents. We were in Santa Rosa and Yelped to find a bike store so we could buy a map of locale bike trails. Yelp brought up a list of nearby stores AND a listing for Frieda's Ace-It Bike Tours. Intrigued, we called and she was so upbeat and explained her tours so well, we went for the wine tour. Met her and she discounted our tour because we weren't renting bikes and then Dave, our guide came by and led us on a lovely trail, explaining lots of local detail, taking care to remind us to hydrate regularly. We visited two wineries and found several wines we loved. It was a birthday weekend for me and a great sweet way to celebrate. Recommend Frieda's tours very highly. I really enjoyed this tour, which I went on a few weeks ago with my girlfriend. The bikes were in good condition, the scenery was great, and the wineries we visited were awesome. Frieda does a great job as the tour guide and is very knowledgeable about the area. As a side note, if you go on this tour all of the tastings at the wineries you visit are free. Perfect tour!! Scenery was beautiful and the pace of the ride was just right. We visited Pelligrini and Hook and Ladder. We were treated like royalty at Pelligrini. We were able to sit outside in the vineyard and Sondra served us. Hook and Ladder was less personal, but their wines were good. I DEFINITELY recommend this tour.
