Willow our fantastic tour guide with the white hat, and our crew :)
    Lorraine N.

On day 2 of our girls weekend we had a bike tour with Ace It. Willow was our tour guide and she was fantastic! We biked to two wineries, Foppiano and Rodney Strong. We loved every minute of the tour, got teamed up with a smaller group who was super fun and just had the best time! Ended at Mutt Lynch, which is a dog lovers paradise! The bike tour is 7 miles round trip. Not difficult, mostly flat. Willow went out of her way to make sure we didn't feel rushed, staying well past the original end time. Highly recommend!

Love it! Get the history of Windsor with stops at 3 wineries. Tour guide is very informative, friendly, and professional. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Great, great wine tasting trip. Willow was an excellent tour guide! We visited terrific wineries and learned a lot about wines. I highly recommend this bike ride. It is a pleasant easy going ride. Thank you for a great time from 2 visitors from Nebraska!

We did the wine bike tour and it was fabulous! Freida was awesome!! The wineries she chose for us were awesome. I love that it took some effort to get to the first but after that it was an easy ride. We had such a great time we kept the bikes to do our own tour the next day. Frieda was so great she picked them up at our hotel when we were done. We LOVED it.

Photo op at Hook & Ladder! Great wine and people.

Wow, what a great time! We had a blast. We started our ride at 9 instead of 10 because there was a heat wave. This was Freida's idea and she was wise! A very thoughtful move on her part. The bikes fit us PERFECTLY and have convenient cool zones for storing your picnic and any wine you buy. We brought hummus, cheese, fruit, and crackers, and all fit well. There's even a cute cutting board. Nice touch. The helmets are also nice--it's great to not have to bring any gear! Setting out from the hotel was awesome because we had time to get some coffee in the lobby before departure. The route was great. Shaded in many parts and away from cars. All the locals walking their dogs wanted to gossip and say hello to us, which was adorable. We loved seeing vines from the trail. We also saw some cool birds and a cork tree, along with olive trees and more. You couldn't ask for better scenery. And Freida was happy to snap photos of us when we wanted. :) On the few parts where we were on roads with cars, the drivers were really respectful. Freida also did a great job of letting us know when it was clear and if a car or biker/runner/etc was coming, which made our job easy--just peddle and enjoy the view! It's a very rural feeling area (plenty of horses and sheep and stuff) so you really don't feel like you're in traffic at all. Hook & Ladder was a wonderful stop. The staff is so amicable and the wine is great. We bought a bottle of Third Alarm but honestly their prices are so good we ought to have bought more. Really great quality. Side-by-side tasting there is the way to go! Sunce was a nice stop, though they were a little less organized for tastings. We got to check out the barrel room, which was a fun experience! We had a picnic there which was awesome. Then the return trip. We stopped a few times for water as the temperature had risen. Again, happy we started early! Overall I really recommend Ace It. Great info on their website, good value, Freida is so friendly, and the bikes and bike seats feel awesome (no soreness the next day). The one thing I wished I packed was chapstick because my lips got a bit sunburnt, but no big deal. So do it! Pack a picnic and bring your camera. Grab a water bottle that fits in a bike cup holder. Lots of sunscreen and a hat. We had just an amazing time and we think you will too! Definitely book your trip ASAP. -Chris and Erin

Did a St. Patty's day beer bike tour in Windsor.. Sooooo much fun! I don't even like beer and I've already decided I'm doing this again when my family comes to visit.. Freida, the owner was amazing and the bike tour was so beautiful.. an easy ride with a couple small hills to get your butt in shape.. The brewery's were off the beaten path, I would have no idea these where here.. amazing beer, amazing food, fun people!! Do not pass up using this company.. new bikes, and top quality.. look em up!

Russian River Railbikes is part of the Golden Gate Railroad Museum, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to maintain, restore and run historically significant railroad equipment from the San Francisco Bay area. The guides are all volunteers from the Golden Gate Railroad Museum. The guides were friendly, helpful, and informative. You will get somewhat of a workout, although this is not strenuous. This is an activity that you can really do at any age and they are kid friendly. One of the guides stated that they have had someone in a car seat before (they have seat belts on them similar to a car) and a couple in their 80's has gone multiple times and they arrange ahead of time to have two guides on the railbike to help with pedaling. This truly is a great adventure for all ages! It's about 1 1/2 or two hours total and you will pass by a vineyard and farm. You will also go through a tunnel and stop half way where you will get out and stretch your legs. You can relax at a shaded table, dip your toes in the Russian River, or view a collapsed tunnel at this half way point. You will also have the option when you book this to purchase lunch ahead of time that you can enjoy at the half way point if you would like. It's recommended that you wear comfortable clothes, wear sunscreen, and bring any water and snacks with you on the railbike. We each brought a water bottle that came in very handy. You will have plenty of time afterwards to explore Cloverdale. An all around great experience that I highly recommend!

The tour guides were extremely helpful in making sure the helmets and seats were adjusted to the right fit just for me and they made sure to be very thorough in teaching me how to operate the bike before I took off (it was surprisingly extremely easy to ride- I didn't even have to pedal if I didn't want to). After just a quick 5 minute training session, I was cruising through the back roads of Dry Creek Valley on my high-tech "electric" bike -- like a Pro !!! We have visited this area many times, driving through the vineyards, but the relaxing adventure on Bolo's Bike Tour gave us both a totally different perspective. The silent electric-assisted bikes virtually float down the country back roads... the magnificent vineyard vista's are so much more spectacular at the 10-20 mph pace than though the window of a speeding car. The phrase "stop and smell the roses" could be replaced with "glide and see the vineyards". Our 5 hour excursion flew by. Our first stop was the Historic Dry Creek General Store to pick up a delicious picnic lunch. We then cruised to a hidden private vineyard directly off West Dry Creek Road. The vineyard owners knew our hosts Chris, Seth and Jonathan well, and recommended a delightful Sav Blanc, that perfectly paired with our lunch. We sat at a rustic picnic table beside the Dry Creek River. The peaceful forest sounds and gurgling stream was a unique experience. After lunch we effortlessly cruised down a winding side road to the magnificent Schlumberger Vineyard for a fantastic Wine Tasting. This delightful vineyard is designed in the elegant style an Italian Villa, and we lounged in the white-columned courtyard by a fountain -- the Wine flowed -- from a crisp dry Champaign-style sparkling wine, to the local White Wines, climaxing with a beautiful "Old Vine" Red Zinfandel. The Bolo's Bikes Owners are long-time residents in Healdsburg, and they expertly guided us through some of the most Spectacular hidden wine country vista's I have ever seen. They entertaining us with interesting local tales, historical facts, and good humor. The next time we visit Sonoma Wine Country, a Bolo's Bike Tour will be on the Top of our list, for another a relaxing fun-filled excursion !!!

You visit the various barrios (e.g., Mission, Haight, Castro, civic center, golden gate park, etc.) learning about their history & challenges due to gentrification.
