AKIRA has become one of my favorite stores because I can always find something unique to add to my wardrobe, those pieces that are just a little different and make an outfit stand out. And while I'm doing my thing at AKIRA, my husband can always count on Macy's to find something new for his wardrobe too. So basically... we both leave with a bag, we're both happy, and everybody wins. And we're frugal shoppers. So safe to say we always get a good sale. At this point, a Garden State Plaza trip just isn't complete without these two stops! And of course you gotta feed the belly so this particular trip we went to Carlitos and got our taco fix and you can't go wrong with tacos, especially at Carlitos. They're always so friendly and accommodating.

I came straight here after work to check it out because I have movie tickets for the cinema located inside. I arrived a bit too early, so I'm going to walk around and explore the place, and I'll let you know what I think later. The air conditioning is holding up well against the massive crowd. Now almost 20 years later it's wild seeing how much this mall changed. New stores popped up and every square inch filled. It's not just a mall anymore- it's almost like a one-stop shop for everything. There's Stop & Shop supermarket, casual chain restaurants like Olive Garden, LongHorn and a few others, plus all the shopping you need in one place. For us, it works since we'll be living a few minutes away now and will be easy to slide on through real quick.

Cava was its most recent grand opening and I'm so happy they are adding healthy option places. There is always security present and walking the mall. Cross county is great on holiday festivities and love food drink market they have throughout the year. Great Prices and safety while shopping is so important and I definitely feel safe shopping here. For example, there is an entire storefront devoted to claw machines. There is another store called "mystery bins" that has a random assortment of items that kind of look like they fell off a truck. There is a rope obstacle course for kids on the upper floors of the mall. Cool concept, but a little off putting that things could fall from above on to shoppers on the lower levels. Overall, it's a decent mall, but it has lost some of its luster over the years.

After the JCpenny and Lord & Taylor closed down, this place has only gone downhill. Second, its dirty as hell. Saw dead cockroaches in the food court and weird stains all around. This place doesn't get the care it needs anymore. Third, the mall is extremely close to dying. Don't get me wrong; this mall is very popular, but every time I visit it has less and less people visiting. I find this extremely sad to see, especially since I used to love going here with my dad, this mall has slowly been rotting due to neglect by the owners and is now destined to be demolished or completely renovated. I hope it can one day come back, but now I've lost hope for it at all.
