Cross County Mall really leveled up over the years. Back when I started coming here in the early 2000s, spots like Macy's, Sears, Suzette's Lingerie and a few others were already holding it down- like the real OGs of the mall. Now almost 20 years later it's wild seeing how much this mall changed. New stores popped up and every square inch filled. It's not just a mall anymore- it's almost like a one-stop shop for everything. There's Stop & Shop supermarket, casual chain restaurants like Olive Garden, LongHorn and a few others, plus all the shopping you need in one place. For us, it works since we'll be living a few minutes away now and will be easy to slide on through real quick. read more

This mall is pretty good. It's got all the brands, but i prefer some more local specialties and kids places. The price is about 25-100 dollars, unless ya buy a full on aisle. Service varies, but overall, not bad at all! read more

I really enjoy coming to this mall. I normally come during the day on weekdays and occasionally on a Friday evening, early Saturday. I have come by car and bus from the Bronx. They always have nice decor and things in season for Christmas and Halloween. Yesterday they had Easter decor with an Easter bunny experience. Been Shopping at this location since I was a child. Love the layout of the Mall considering this was the first open air mall. Since the 90's there have been many stores to come and go but I really love all the new ones coming in especially the food one lol. Cava was its most recent grand opening and I'm so happy they are adding healthy option places. There is always security present and walking the mall. During high peak season they don't hire extra help to sort any congestion in parking lots and security for extra added attention to detail. Cross county is great on holiday festivities and love food drink market they have throughout the year. Great Prices and safety while shopping is so important and I definitely feel safe shopping here. At first I thought this was an outlet because of the layout of stores sitting outside. There was no indoor setup. Everything is outside so if it rains then it's a bummer. The layout is very cute and nice. All the floors are very clean and nice. No garbage. Very clean mall. Nice trees and grass laid out everywhere. There is a lot of free parking too where you don't need to pay. read more

I've been told about Suzette's for quite awhile and I finally found time to go. It was The Best Experience at a lingerie store. Keyaira was very nice and took my measurements carefully and correctly. They created a file for future purchases which is pretty smart. I left with 2 bras and plan on coming back. They have a wonderful variety of bras and other accessories. Convenient location in the mall. I recommend this establishment especially for the busty gals like myself. read more

We went here for the food truck event. Food trucks wasn't worth it. We ended up shopping since we hadn't been here since way before the pandemic. Surprisingly there didn't seem to be as many people as I thought there would be but it was okay. The have a Target that just opened, same as any other Target. It'll probably be a while before I go again. read more

I like Cross County; I was there for many years growing up. But they need more variety, badly. Replacing Burger King is understandable since they already have one across the highway, but they could've had Wendy's, Checkers, A&W, or even a Sonic. Panera Bread was alright. I saw Spencer's is closed... Macys is the largest dept store in Cross County, Me. Wallace is my go to guy in the Men dept for suits. Hes a professional in his expertise of Men suits. Mr. Wallace has taste, style, and class. I had to purchase a suit for a funeral , and I was in a rush and had no patience, I was eager to grab any sz and check out. Mr. Wallace was there to help me to relax and calm myself . He made his suggestion and went up and beyond to find the right sz to fit me. I save a lot on my suit that day. I paid for good quality suit for low price . Great buy! Great mid level to affordable stores all very very stylish! The parking is free but very congested and be ready to almost get in an accident. There is a wide variety of food! For example there are kiosks for food such as Cinnabon, auntie (pretzel place) and ice cream Applebee's Panera, burger place, red lobster Olive Garden and longhorn. There is even a hibachi restaurant. Target has now opened up as well and a stop and shop grocery store, Marshall's , h&m, 'acts, Zara, guess, and really just too many to name. If you get tired you can get a room at Hyatt Place! Lol. It's a bit hectic, it's not the westchester mall so if you looking for total upscale it is not that. But if you are looking for stylish nice stores and fun food...and not as crazy as some places in nyc, then this is your spot. read more

This year visit with Santa was terrible. The staff ( 2 girls taking pictures ) were outstanding but Santa was a total disappointment. He refused to take my 6 year old sons letter. Told him to give it to the girls. He didn't greet my son. He didn't ask him anything he wanted. He didn't smile. He didn't hug him. He was just a person with a horrible look on his face. Businesses are failing bc with one click we can purchase anything what happened to the excitement of the hunt and walking around for a stroll. Please support your local malls with you they'll be gone. Cross County has a little bit of everything. Outdoor strip wall that has eateries high-end regular things places for the kids to go you could spend the day with your family and get what you need even do some supermarket shopping and Stop & Shop so make it a point to go here. read more

I've been coming to Cross County for years. They finally remodeled it a few years ago and made it more of a high-end outdoor mall rather than the seedy outdoor spot it was for years prior. The stores they have aren't many but they are good quality, except for the Ulta (it was disgusting inside). They also still have a Macy's and a few places to eat (including Auntie Anne's because how could it be a mall without one?!). Plenty of parking. Easy to get to off the highways. Everyone was practicing social distancing and a few of the stores even had sales going on. A big improvement. read more

Cross County Shopping has a great location & a vast selection of stores & restaurants! Located in Yonkers right off the 87 and Cross County Parkway, it's easy to find. But can it compete with the convenience of online retailers? Yes, if it offers something unique & different, which I think it does. But there are obvious drawbacks. First, I love the concept of an outdoor shopping center - providing the weather is good. I enjoy walking & open spaces. I also like to make efficient use of time & that's where I have an issue. This center is a true mishmash - food, cafes, department stores, banking & phone services, a hotel and even the Westchester Community College has a location here! The variety is interesting & I wish I'd attended college at a mall- it would have made lunch breaks so much fun ! As a busy shopper it's not so great though. It's difficult to locate stores & when you do, you have to walk across the mall for one thing then back to the other side for something else. Great if you need more exercise but finding what you're looking for can be a challenge. The map is hard to find, they need more of them or more signs for those of us who aren't familiar with the layout. One thing I did not have trouble locating was the Cinnabon - could smell it from a distance - but you can't smell the other stores so good luck finding them, lol! Also, the garage needs to fix the long curb (see photo). It's dark inside and you can't readily see it as you enter from the outside. I watched a van run directly into it. Love this mall. It's completely outside so you don't feel confined and closed into a big building. They offer a ton of different food places. Theres also restaurants within walking distance from here as well. There is a ton of clothing stores, shoe stores and a bunch of more stores selling stuff. Overall, good variety of shopping. At first I was pretty exciting to see all the stores at this shopping center. In the other hand, everyone else was clearly excited because parking was insane. No matter how good a store selection is, personally going up and down a dozen rows looking for parking can be a huge drag. Fortunately I found parking quickly but cars stalked us as we were heading out. Personally if you can take a bus, it may be for the best. It's a really nice shopping plaza to stroll around outside in nice weather. I can't imagine how it is in say November or December when it's freezing and everyone is Christmas shopping and I don't plan to find out. But in nice weather if you try to go at an off time, this is a treat place to window shop and find some good deals. read more

I ordered the chicken pot pie ( 2 of them). Neither one had a trace of chicken. They were entirely carrots and big chunks of potatoes and the crust was burnt. I previously ordered turkey dinners and both times it arrived with no gravy ( which I requested each time). They used to be a really good food option but this is the last time I will patronize this business. I do not recommend this spot....waste of my money ! read more

It's a cute outdoor mall, but the stores are nothing special and no interesting deals going on. Also ridiculously crowded on a Saturday, did not enjoy at all. Don't recommend going on the weekend, don't know if weekdays are any better. There was such an obnoxious amount of people that we stayed less than an hour overall, bought absolutely nothing and then went to the Bronx where we had a much better rest of our day. read more

Went to pictures with Santa and the website said reservations were recommended but not required. We took the kids without since all were booked. We waited for 30 mins on a short line to be told no pic without reservation. Then don't have misinformation on your website. The employee who came out was very rude when she told us. If you won't take walkins then change the online information so people don't waste their time and have crying kids on their hands to boot. Go elsewhere. read more

I visit this mall, mostly because of convenience but on the weekends it can get pretty crowded and parking can be a nightmare. I used to come here on a regular basis when I worked nights and weekends because I would be free during the week in the day time when the shoppers are scarce; no waiting for a dressing room and no super long lines to pay for items. read more

I know someone else mentioned this in another review but just want to give props to this mall for having a nursing room! I live in the area and come here often. I love that I don't have to struggle to go back to my car to feed my baby. As a nursing mom I can't emphasize how important these nursing locations are! I do wish there was more than just 1 room. I've had other moms knock while I'm in the middle of a nursing session. However, thank you for this and for acknowledging breastfeeding moms :) read more

This place has come a long way since I was a kid, back when my Mom would drag me to Sterns to buy slacks. I remember the area being fairly rundown and scruffy back in the day, with things only getting worse in the 1990's. Nowadays, they have some pretty decent stores like Armani and Zara and you can tell that they really did put some bucks and thought into making the place look decent. Good for them. That being said, I really don't like this shopping center whatsoever. First, whenever I've stopped by (typically on the weekend), the parking situation, and even just getting into the parking lot, has been a giant pain in the ass. Way too much congestion, and way too much of a hassle to get in and out. Second, the restaurant options are pretty much like the ones you'd find at every other Westchester mall, meaning, sad, corporate, and unhealthy. But hey, if you like Panda Express and Red Lobster, God bless. On the positive side, there are plenty of great Yonkers restaurants just a few minutes away. So if you can wait, you can get a meal that's undoubtedly far better than anything you'll find here. Finally, I find the public safety situation here to be questionable in particular after sunset. Over the years, I have personally seen petty crime being committed at Cross County and the absolute worst was witnessing the recreation of what looked to be a prison riot in the parking lot. Fun stuff. In the end, this place isn't interesting enough to make me drive to Yonkers and that's not even considering the sketchiness, something you may want to consider if you are planning to stop by with kids or the family. There are definitely better options in Westchester, and even in Yonkers actually. read more

Cross County gave itself a nice facelift.......about a decade and a half too late. On the outside, they did do a fascinating job in changing up the mall and making it look really nice, from the crap it looked like before. Cross County was a decent mall in the area to go to when I was a kid. I used to like the often dead Adventures, Gimbals's, and the nice varied selection of stores. I never did understand why for a time there were two Woolworth's in one mall, but I had no problem with that. Hermann's Sporting Good's was nice, as was the pretzel stands that occupied the place. The CVS was convenient. I could go on and on about the good and bad stores that made their way over the years into this mall, but it would be pointless. These days, it looks good but it is really a boring mall now. Gone are a lot of the trash that used to hang at the mall (though some still carouse around). Way too many clothing stores - no variety. The movie theater is a douche haven at night and tends to get very crowded - and no stadium seating. Sears is ok, but with Macy's across the way, unless I want a power tool or on a budget, I'm going to Macy's. I always thought a Target-type store would be fitting in the Sears spot....even with that dirty National Wholesale Liquidators outside the failed indoor mall. Variety....the only store that looks different than any other clothing store, sneaker and shoes store, eatery, and jeweler is Spencer's, a fine and unique fun store to walk in. Perhaps Game Stop as well. What we have now is clothing stores, sneaker stores, clothing stores, shoe stores, clothing stores, and a few jewelry stores between both indoor and outdoor malls. With Blockbuster thankfully gone and the Circuit City mess in the indoor mall gone, maybe some sort of movie store or even Best Buy express would be nice. The Toys R Us a few blocks away is fine, but since that Kaybee's location closed, there's no other options to Toys R Us inside the mall. A young kid going to Cross County is going to be really bored. The pet store closed recently as well. Walden books has been long gone. That "playground" with statues in it is really no fun at all for a kid. As someone who sometimes like to go out to just walk around the mall and window shop, Cross County doesn't quite do it for me. I prefer the Palisades Mall, which has the excellent variety a mall should have. I'll even take the White Plains Galleria at this point - and I can't stand them anymore, but hopefully you'll get my point here. If you're a clothing fan, well this is your place then. Burger King is now gone, so you're left with the pizzeria (with rising prices) for a quick bite, BGR (I've always liked it, but they have dipped) or Boston Market. After that, it's Applebee's/Friday's, Olive Garden, Longhorn's, or Red Lobster mainly. Shake Shack is coming, so it's not terrible. They've expanded Macy's and added an indoor parking lot. They did lose some spacing in favor of restaurants and some other areas renovated - which especially sucks for those who drive and shop there during the holidays. Parking is free unlike the nearest mall, Ridge Hill. They're putting up a hotel here in the old college building, but that's mainly for Empire City Casino guests - but I suppose the restaurants add appeal to those who decide to stay in the hotel. I used to take my kid here for the Santa thing, but after experiencing the blah and unorganized for the 3rd year in a row, I will be going elsewhere for that. Make sure the "Santa" there is in a good mood and not sick, because it will affect those expensive pictures you get. And make sure you're bundled up for that, because waiting outside in the blistering cold is not going to feel good for you or your kids. Bottom line, it definitely looks a lot better than it did, but in my opinion they waited too long to make this change and they do not have enough variety of stores. If you want clothes, it's a great place to go. If you want something else, well you're a bit out of luck. read more

I remember going to cross county in the late 60s to 70s. John Wanamakers had class. Gimbles. It was a nice place to go. It wasn't high end, heck it had two Woolworths! But it still was a decent place to go. This was the first planned mall in the US. By the end of the 70s cars got stolen in broad daylight. In the 80s and 90s it got more depressed. Yes they have done a facelift but is is still not a place I would go after 5:00. They are turning the old cross county hospital into a hotel? Why? I wouldn't want to leave that hotel room at night. Do they think this is like Woodbury commons? If it had designer outlet stores this place would be a hit. They put in the same stores as galleria or any low end mall would have. I was hoping for nicer, more unique shops and better restaurants. Applebee's and now Olive Garden is coming. Really? In a town where real Italian restaurants are great? It has the only chipotle in westchester unfortunately. I like chipotle but every time I go there are 300 on the line, no where to sit. There is a Panera. They run out of food, don't bring it to your table, as have one or only two people taking orders. Macys is alright but then again it always was. Sears does not open on time. Calling corporate office does no good. The parking garage was silly and should become something else. It would have been better if it had designer outlets so that we could have that without the drive to Woodbury. The only thing that could save it is to turn one of the massive empty parking lots ( behind Applebee's) into a food truck haven. Like in Austin or Portland. Something cool with interesting unique food options. That would pull in a lot of good business because it's different and people want it. read more

This was my first time in Yonkers (that I can remember). I had mixed feelings about coming here buy it was black Friday so why not stop by the shopping center and see what Yonkers has to offer. It was decent. Outlet set up. A whole bunch of stores, all out doors. Everything was crowded but of course, black Friday mess. Very messy in the stores as well. Even amidst the black Friday madness plenty of employees stopped to chat with me and were very friendly. It was very clean out on the sidewalks and they were renovating and adding a Chipotle! If it wasn't so far from me (queens!) I would probably hit this up. They need more food options but clearly they are working on that. If I'm ever in the area def worth hitting up. read more

I used to go to Cross County all the time as a child, it's pretty convenient to get to since you can take the Hutch or I-87 to get there. Over the years, however, CC got the reputation of being run down, with many of their stores being outdated and just not being a desirable place to shop. Recently the mall received a major facelift that breathed new life into Cross County. Cross County is an outdoor mall, and compared to Ridge Hill (another outdoor mall in Yonkers) it's much bigger. The two anchors are Sears and Macy's, with a number of other stores scattered among them. With the renovations they bought in a slew of new stores like Forever 21 and American Eagle, plus a number of new eateries like Chipotle, Longhorn Steakhouse, Panera, Fridays, and Olive Garden. Additionally, they built a Hyatt within the mall and have a Blink fitness center as well. Some things haven't changed - there is still the multiplex, the Stop and Shop, and the indoor Cross County Mall across the parking lot. Parking is still free, and there's an abundance of it; you should have no trouble finding a spot. Overall they did a good job cosmetically, and they added a number of new places to attract more shoppers. I don't come here too often but it's nice to see they built it up and made it a better place to go than it was. read more

My fiance, friends and I passed by here after visiting the Untermeyer Gardens Conservancy at Yonkers. The shopping center has all of the main retail stores you would find in Manhattan and has an interesting look to it. My fiance and I explored around the outdoor section where it has interesting architecture, beautiful storefronts and places to sit. Although I feel the Macy's at this shopping center is a bit outdated with the decor and atmosphere. It felt very boring and condensed. The customer service at some of the stores were a bit rude and non-accommodating which is why I decided not to buy anything from this shopping center except for one item at Macy's because I actually needed it. I also felt the demographics here aren't like what we have in the city or in New Jersey where I normally shop. Overall, Cross County Shopping Center is definitely an interesting piece of property. Yonkers is a bit of a far drive from where I live and because there was nothing that "wowed" me about this mall, I think the chances of returning would be slim. read more
