The staff here are very unprofessional, rude and lacks customer service. They choose the people they say hello or good morning/afternoon to. The store was empty when I went. I was looking for pants for my son in the kids section, started looking for styles and sizes. As I was checking a rack, this staff member stood beside me and started going through the same rack. Whenever I touched any, she will proceed to put it in place. I went to another rack to give her space but she followed me and did the same. I wasn't in any way leaving the rack messy. This staff member is just so insensitive, invading my space and very rude. I looked at her and she stared at me, not saying anything at all. Horrible store. Zara should be known as the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I purchased over $300 in clothing beginning of December for my daughter for Christmas. We went away 12/26/24. On 1/11/25 she went to exchange or get store credit (clothes did not fit). Zara refuses to take anything back because 30 days are up. Any other store gives you til 1/15 or 1/31 for holiday returns. Now I'm out over $300 and she has no Christmas gifts. Corporate greed! Will NEVER shop there again. Wish I could give negative stars. read more

The workers always give dirty looks and have a scowl on their face and make rude remarks whenever with passive aggressive tendencies. If I could give this Zara 0 stars, I would. I have never had a good experience here. No matter what day or time you go, you will wait 30+ minutes in line to pay, because they refuse to have more than 3 people at check-out, even though there are 5+ stations. There is an unnecessary amount of people working around the store "organizing", while the line gets longer and longer and reaches the door. Everyone leaves this place aggravated. This location is usually a mess when the sales come around (just like any other store), however, we all put them on top of competitors because of the style, uniqueness, pricing, and layout. For some reason, the employees here don't seem to be well polished or seem to know where anything is. I'm not sure why managers hire and don't train seasonal employees, but it's almost like, they're just there for stock, they don't know product, and they don't clean as they should. Now, at the cashier and the fitting room, I've had a great experience, however, we are humans in NYC, and we all have to do better with customer service beginning with out attitude. read more

There were no more than 2 cashiers upstairs with a line out the door and 1 downstairs with another line wrapping around the store. If you know how big the store is, you know how crazy this is. The other employees were folding clothes or something. I can't really blame any of the workers because it's management/corporate's job to make sure they have coverage even if there are callouts. The shelves were basically empty because all of the clothes were blocked in the dressing room on return racks that we couldn't browse. Couldn't find my size in anything, probably because they were all on the return racks. And the people that work there are miserable, can't really blame them for that either. They get a star for being in a great location around lots of things to do and places to eat. That's about it. read more

This store is poorly managed. Im typing this review while on line. The line is close to reaching out the door and they have 7 cashiers spaces but only 3 working. I don't blame the cashiers who are moving slow as they work. They are overwhelmed. they should have a dedicated line for returns. I was able visit this Zara, and was pleased to find that they did indeed have a men's section. However, presumably due to the after-Holiday sale they were having, the store was in shambles. It was very difficult to find anything appealing, as they pickings were scattered and meager. The two changing room attendants were also disinterested and unhelpful. The line was too long. My conclusion; Zara is minimally different from H&M both in style of clothes and selection. The key difference is a 10%-15% price increase. I was excited to come here but was disappointed. Store has horrible service, the staff have poor people skills and I know why ! The manager on duty who is suppose to lead by example is even worse . My wife grabbed a pair of shoes from a sale table ( which had a sign of $29.99 for all shoes ). When it's time to pay the shoes ring up at over $70. We showed the manager where we got it from and she stated that was a old sign so we pay the $70 or leave the shoes behind. I would recommend to shop at another Zara location not this one. read more

Zara's store policy sucks. I found a really nice pair of pants on sale. I spent forever trying to find my size on the messy display table and found one left. I went to try them on and saw that the seam was out in two spots leaving two big holes. They refused to give any additional discount. Most stores give at least 10 percent, which isn't much to begin with. I understand the item was on sale but it was the only damaged one, and was the last one in its size. I purchased it anyway because I really liked them but they need to fix their policies. I don't think I'll be shopping here very often. read more

I've been shopping at Zara for several years. I asked the salesperson for a size medium in a sweater. I was laughed at and told I should try a large or XL their clothes run small. After weighing 150 pounds as a male, and struggling with an eating disorder, I finally gained a healthy weight. This was extremely hurtful and insulting. I know Zara sizing well. He got me a medium which fit fine, but after being called fat by their associates, Zara can suck by balls. I won't be shopping here again. There should be a zero stars option because this Zara store doesn't even deserve 1 star! I went to this completely filthy and disorganized Zara store (Cross County Mall; Yonkers) on Monday, 12/27/2021, to return a few items. I got to the store for open (10:00 a.m. per their website), only to stand on line for approximately 30 minutes. Once I got to the cashier, I explained that I had 3 returns (2 purchased in store and the other online). Without looking at the entire receipt, she promptly said "this is past 30 days and you have to get store credit". I explained that when I purchased the items, I was told that there is a holiday extended return through 12/30/2021. She said "no there isn't". I asked for the manager who clearly didn't know her ass from her elbow and said the same thing. I asked if there was another manager, she disappeared for 5 minutes, came back and said "there is no holiday extended return you are wrong". At that point, my daughter pointed out the bottom of the receipt where it said "holiday returns through 12/30/2021". I said to her "evidently you don't even know your own store policy, but what is worse, you are telling ALL these customers that they cannot have their money back and are only offering store credit which is grossly negligent on your part!" The manager was extremely angry and gave a curt and nasty apology. Additionally, I then tried to return my online order in the store; she wouldn't allow it and said "online orders have to be returned via mail". This is incorrect and I told her so, but at that point, I was done trying to communicate with an ignorant woman. I did call Zara customer service and filed a complaint against the manager for her horrific behavior, but more importantly, for not adhering to company policy by allowing the other customers a refund. while at the cross county shopping center in yonkers i went to browse inside zara and when i was finished i left with 4 gift cards for christmas and some nice ladies clothing and accessories which will also make wonderful christmas gifts cause my expertise fashion mind is priceless. my sis and cousin love shopping at zara which has a vast array of styles from simple to super chic. prices can be a bit pricey so shop when the big sales are going on which seems to be all the time. this particular zara location rivals the manhattan branches with its spacious spread out set up. its 12pm on sunday and place is packed with customers of mostly females and the tag along hubby or boyfriend and the fashion know it all , mr sadri . major love for the sista zara rep who approved what i picked out for holiday gifts and from the way she was helping other customers ,she really is good at her job. zara is not forever 21, mandees , h&m, etc, no its a few levels above in relations from styles and prices but all these chain stores are good to shop at, but sometimes i rather have lobster and filet mignon over hamburgers and fries . if you dont mind spending the extra moola ,i suggest you visit your local zara. read more

I am very upset to give Zara a bad review. The review has nothing to do with the merchandise. It has to do with the horrible staff. I had went to Zara to purchase one item I need. I understand if lines are big at times, and always wait. However it is really annoying when people need to exchange things cause it causes a longer wait. This is no big deal if it's done the right way. What pissed me off was that I was in line next, and one cashier was already helping someone who wanted to return, exchange, blah blah. So another cashier opens, but instead of taking me next, another girl walks up (I guess she was helping her before). OK no problem, once again I am patient, so I'll wait for her to finish her transaction. However, this other customer is returning and using store credit. This wouldn't be a problem, but it became a damn problem when she needed more to cover her full store credit. So the cashier just allows her to leave and browse having people wait in line, until that customer decides what else she wants. Are you kidding me? ... I don't think I've ever seen such terrible cashiers in my life. So I go and ask her "Do I really need to wait in line for one item while the people returning are deciding what they want?" And her response "Yes..." Are you freaking kidding me... lol Good customer service, cancels a transaction, continues with the rest of the line, while setting the other customers items to the side until they're ready.
